"Eh? Jack and the Beanstalk? Not sure I heard of that..." Kouta said as he continued to climb. To be truthful, it didn't matter if he knew the tale or not. He had to find out if the vinestalk had ties to Helheim.
Especially if what Rex said about the giant is true... Especially if the giant wanted to invade the village. He then noticed a monster climbing on the stalk as well. However, he recognized the insignia on its body and realized it was Ben. He nodded to the wild mutt and continued climbing.

Beanstalk Base Zone/ Act 1
Sonic looked at the beanstalk. He saw Ben, transformed into some kind of monster climbing the beanstalk. Sonic decided that the best course of action was to climb it as well.
After walking along the sides of the bean stalk, Sonic found a slightly covered root that curved upward into the beanstalk. Sonic stepped on it, and started charging his spin dash. The spin dash, which he has previously used has been abandoned after some of his adventures proved that it didn't matter, but after a previous adventure, he decided to try it out for a spin. Of course, it didn't have the unstoppable force that it used to have, but it can still defeat badnicks.
After charging for a while, Sonic let go, and he moved up the curve of the root into the beanstalk. He wasn't just climbing it. He was running up it.
Going Fast Since 1991Dying to get out of the Pub
"I too shall take my leave," Specter Knight said, unwilling to remain in Plague Knight's company any longer. He'd had enough of Plague Knight insulting him, and was beginning to grow bored anyway.
As soon as he said that, he teleported outside, and began walking in the general direction of the Library.

Somebody once told me the world was macaroni, I took a bite out of a treeAlready, one or two people were beginning to climb the beanstalk. She couldn't make sense of it. Apparently, some people were too curious to let stuff go.
Sadness scooted away when Ben transformed into a wolf...thingy; this one seemed way less nice than the fire guy. It also seemed to recognize all the bad stuff that Mary's dress had on it. Mary's secret that she committed in the name of protecting her secret had not stayed secret for long.
Instead, she hung back along with Rex, the guy she recognized from yesterday's blizzard. She nodded along to his complaints about climbing the giant plant. Some people just didn't recognize a really bad idea.
"Red paint?" Sadness repeated in answer to his question. She nervously looked towards Mary. "It's not really strawberries, it's...um...uh....well...uh.............."
Currently writing something. Currently procrastinating.Base of the beanstalk
Sadness nervously answered that whatever Mary was covered with, it wasn't strawberries. But she apparently couldn't what it was.
"What is it then?"
Asgore interrumped Rex and asked him what Jack and the Beanstalk was. The pineapple didn't know about the book either.
"It's a fairy tale. A kid buys some magic beans, a giant beanstalk grows overnight, and when he climbs it he finds a giant living there. I'm not so sure how it ends but I think Jack had to cut dow the beanstalk"
The blue knight quickly ran up the beanstalk defying gravity surprising Rex, he really was a fast guy.
"Guys, unless you want a giant trying to kill us, we should go back inside"
Social Blunder, Level: Sawyer
"Blood." Cleaner's lips were raised in a thin smile as she regarded both Mary and Sadness. So young and already stained. "No need to skirt around the issue."
...ugh, if only she had a handkerchief or a wet wipe on her.
She looked up to see both Ben and Sonic scaling the beanstalk already. "Hm. No wonder that Space Marine branded him heretic if he can turn into something like this on a whim." She mused, then giving that really tall goat person a small nod.
"As for the fairytale, Jack is a dirty thief and steals some of giant's things; then once he's found and chased he and his mother cut down the beanstalk." Sawyer smiled again, in her usual Sawyer-fashion. "The giant falls to his death and breaks his neck with a crunch so sickening that it supposedly created a small canyon somewhere in England." She was making that last part up, but everything else was in place.
Mary - Princesses Don't Climb
So Ben did know. But he didn't treat her badly because of it. He just told her that what she'd done was wrong, and that she shouldn't do it again. The he turned into a very big... dog? No, it was different than what dogs looked like, at least in the things she'd read. Still looked rather cute, though.
Some people stayed down on the ground, while others climbed up the plant. Rex even went ahead and said there was a giant up there.
Mary pondered her options for a few moments, then approached the beanstalk. She stared at it intently for a few seconds, then touched it with one hand. The other one followed shortly, and before she knew it, she had started climbing.
She climbed an impressive three feet before her shoes and dress caused her to slip and fall on her rear. Those things were really starting to annoy her, as evidenced by how she was glaring at her own feet.
Maybe being a princess wasn't as fun as she thought it'd be.
"Aw jeez, aw jeez..." Morty paced and looked back and forth as he watched some of the others start scaling the beanstalk. He'd already been in this scenario once - he knew what was waiting for them at the top of the beanstalk, and it was not going to be a happy surprise once they found out. "I, I, I, guys, I don't think that this is, you know, worth the risk? Who knows where that thing is gonna take you?!"
There was a pause as one of Ben's comments he'd overheard earlier sunk in.
"... Wait... you stabbed someone?" said Morty, backing away from Mary as fast as possible. "Y-y-you... I thought you just wanted to, to play in the snow and stuff!"
Kouta leaped down from the beanstalk as soon as he heard Rex said Jack had to cut it down.
"Well, if that means stopping whatever giant thing is up there then..." Kouta pulled out his Orange Lockseed. "Hey! Ben! Get down there! I'm gonna take care of this! Henshin!" Kouta popped it open.
ORANGE!
A zipper opened as a giant mechanical orange descended down. Kouta locked in the Seed and cut it.
LOCK ON! SOIYA! ORANGE ARMS! THE PATH OF BLOSSOMS: ON STAGE!
The armor folded and locked into place. Kouta took out his Musou Saber and Daidaimaru. He awaited for Ben to get down.

Base of the beanstalk
Hearing about the possibility of a giant being up there in the floating island, made Asgore decide to not climb the beanstalk. Sonic, and Kouta were still trying to climb, though.
"Well, at least you have common sense. Unlike those two"
The pineapple guy now summoned an orange and used it as an armor.
"What's with this guy and fruits?"
Morty freaked out about something that Rex couldn't hear because he was too busy trying to convince people not to climb the beanstalk but he mentioned stabbing someone and playing in the snow.
"Stabbing? What are you talking about, Morty?"

Before too much could happen with the confrontation with Mary, Cole wandered right through the middle of the group, staring up at the beanstalk, tilting his head to one side and rocking himself from side to side slightly. After a moment, a low croon, barely even anything that could be called a hum, let alone singing, started to come from him.
"There's no earthly way of knowing...which direction we are going..."
He walked to the stalk, touching it lightly, reaching back to draw out one of his daggers, holding it at his side cautiously. He tilted his head this way and that, almost weaving on his feet, apparently entranced by whatever he was doing.
"There's no knowing where we're rowing...or...which way the river's flowing..." He ceased his motion, one hand still on the stalk, then turned, offering a vaguely confused look to the others. "I never heard that song. Someone here has it stuck in their head. They think it's frightening, they don't want to be remembering the scary strange man while this is here."
Having offered that, he looked up the beanstalk, then, using the dagger in his hand as a spike, pulled himself up a bit, apparently intent on climbing up himself.
Wildmutt growled, almost seeming like it was annoyed at Rex's insistence that he not climb up the beanstalk. Even if there was a giant up there, and even if he didn't have to fight the giant, it'd still be interesting to explore up there. And with Kouta, Sonic, and even Mary attempting to climb the beanstalk as well, Wildmutt felt he had to as well. He considered helping Mary climb up the beanstalk, but a giant's castle hundreds of feet in the air was no place for a little girl, knife murderer or not.
After he readied himself, Wildmutt leapt back onto the beanstalk and started clambering up like a monkey. Wildmutt was easily the best climber out of Ben's aliens. He could fly up with Stinkfly, and as Sonic was demonstrating he could run up with XLR8, but he felt Wildmutt would be the one most suited to the task.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither. The stone steps in front of Plague Knight's abode were comfortable enough. Koishi rarely got to sit on proper furniture while she was out and about, unless she got into someone's house, so this wasn't a change for her. She had half-heartedly waved goodbye to Spectre Knight as he silently floated past her, off on some business of his own.
Sitting there, she spotted three mice slowly their way up towards her. They didn't frighten Koishi, as she had personally seen her cat catch way too many to count, but them getting into a restaurant wouldn't do. She took off her hat and tried to shoo the mice away, lightly batting at them a couple of inches away from their heads, but they didn't seem to notice at all.
Koishi sighed. She looked at the little critters, and jokingly asked them "Oh, so you're also coming to intrude on us?"
The lead mouse reared up, and unexpectedly said, "W-WHAT?! N-n-n-no, we're just, uh...leaving!"
All three immediately scampered away in a confused hurry, occasionally bumping into each other as they made their way back into the grass.
At this point, Koishi placed her hand on her face, slowly pulled downwards, and groaned. What was she doing? Even she could tell that she was acting erratically. She hadn't decided what she was going to do when she told Plague Knight she needed to go outside, and now that she was there she still wasn't sure. Normally, she was the absolute best at forgetting stuff and relaxing, but she hadn't actually faced real danger like this in many years. There was a good reason for her being so on-edge, sure, but so far she had just made a fool out of herself in front of strangers for her troubles. She would probably just head back in soon, go back to the table, eat those potato crisps and start asking Trevor about his home life (even if he had seemed like a twitchy, uncomfortable but otherwise ordinary human to her). She would certainly do that, but she couldn't will herself to do anything more at this point besides slump onto the front of the house and stare into the sky...
The sun was setting,
the greens and browns of the paper forest slowly giving way to the reds, oranges and blacks of the evening. This time of day was always her favorite, as the way the sun silhouetted the world like everything was all one plane struck her as incredibly pretty. Many times had she taken a detour to dart into the air and watch as the last daylight climbed over the mountains. Though the lack of a sun made the horizon look as odd as the rest of the world, the fond memories it helped recover took a bit of the edge off of the day. In this state, she felt the deep desire to close her eyes, sleep, and hopefully wake up and find out that the last day was just a dream.
Just one thing stopped her from drifting. She noticed that the skyline was broken by one thing: what looked like one large, twisted tree, far taller than the rest. Questions that needed to be answered came up. What was that? What was on top of it? Was there anyone living there? What do their houses look like? Do they have any cute pets? Even though she never realized it, with each question asked she had started to move towards it like a magnet. Starting with a slow hover as she got off the ground, then a lazy flight, then a brisk soaring as each notion burned in her head. Her desire turned solely to the enigma of the stalk, she briefly forgot about everything else as she hurtled towards it.
Being the fastest, and that most everyone else starting to climb went back down, Sonic was the highest up the beanstalk easily. It wasn't perfectly smooth going though, as the large vines twisted and turned here and there, wrapping around floating rocks on their way up to the sky. It wouldn't any trouble for Sonic, it just required a bit more steady going was all. He was already more than halfway up before something happened that would get his attention...
"Yeah, you all might as well just sit tight; go find somewhere to relax" Miss Tairee suggested as the night was starting to be fully upon them, shrugging slightly; partially because she was just about talking to herself at this point. "After all, there's nothing at stake, anyway... so..." she trailed off as, with a slight blur, a piece of paper appeared in the air in front of her. A bit confused, she grabbed it and read what was on it.
"WHAT?!" Miss Tairee yelled, her eyes widening in shock, bewilderment, and just a tad of anger at what she had read. "YA' TELL ME THIS NOW!?" she screamed out, her southern belle accent in full force. Dropping the piece of paper to the ground, she quickly reached into her dress and pulled out the small book and quill; but before she could do anything with them, they disappeared from her hands with another blur.
Miss Tairee looked surprised, with that particular sort of surprise of a person realizing that they should have expected what just happened, but it had still surprised them anyway. After a brief moment of stunned silence, she spun around to face towards the group. Thinking quickly, she called out to them, "YA'LL CAN'T HURT IT 'TIL-" then she was cut off as a very large, blue dragon head came out of the ground beneath her, passing through the ground as if it wasn't there.
Another head was also phasing out of the ground at the edge of the clearing, and two long necks followed as the dragon soared out of the ground and into the sky. The dragon was large, about the size of a 747 jumbo jet, and colored with a fancy blue and purple pattern that seemed to shimmer even in the relative darkness of the night sky. Strangely, it didn't seem to have any legs, but made up for that with a massive set of wings, and two heads on the ends of long necks. Its long tail ended in a pair of nasty looking stingers. Miss Tairee was letting off a string of expletives as it carried her away, rounding it off with, "GOSH DARNED TIMING SHIT!" Her hat tumbled to the ground, landing next to the piece of paper she'd dropped before.
With its free mouth, the dragon let out a roar that sounded across the whole city as it started to fly off towards the edge of the city. Screams sounded throughout the groups of buildings as people spotted the creature, but the dragon made no move to attack anyone; in fact it seemed like its flying was almost lazy, as if it were just casually sauntering away with a person in one of its mouths.

You are reading this.Beanstalk Heights Zone/ Act 1
Sonic was running up the beanstalk when he heard some kind of roar. He stopped running and upon sitting in one of the beanstalks leaves, he noticed something interesting.
It was a ginormous purple and blue dragon, and it was headed towards the edge of the city.
Sonic knew he had to spring into action, so he started climbing down. Even though he has gone up high, it was the best thing to go after the dragon.
Going Fast Since 1991Sadness looked back and forth between Rickex and Morty with a worried expression. "No no, Mary's fine, she's just - she just -"
A roar cut her off, and it didn't take her long to spot the dragon. The emotion's eyes went round and wide, and she automatically ducked and covered her head as the behemoth soared past them and into the sky.
"..oh no..."

Currently writing something. Currently procrastinating.Mary - No Fun Allowed
"I did."
Mary stood up facing the beanstalk, her fists clenched and her frown increasing more and more.
"I did want to play in the snow," she muttered. "But in the end I couldn't. First the winter clothes, then the storm, then the fire... and then it was over! It's always the same!"
At this point she turned away from the beanstalk and she looked at Morty with such an intense glare that it looked like she was trying to fire lasers from her blue eyes.
"Every time I try to do something fun, it gets ruined!" the fabricated girl continued, taking a step forward. "I wanted to look at the stars, but there weren't any in the sky! I wanted to explore the jungle, but there was a monster outside! I wanted to have a snowball fight with others, but I didn't have the time and the storm happened! And now that I thought I was a princess, not only is it not fun to be one, but it turns out I'm not even a real person like I thought I was!"
By that point the girl was practically yelling. Her frustration had reached a point where it was difficult to keep it under control. She could no longer stop herself from letting it out.
"Nothing goes right at all! Everything gets ruined all the time and I can't do anything I want! I can't do anything fun and I hate it!"
She could feel the tears starting to well up in her eyes, but she paid absolutely no mind to them. She let them pour unopposed as her rant continued.
"I hate it, I hate it, I hate it!" she shouted, holding her head with both hands before suddenly turning around and kicking the beanstalk. "I HATE THIS PLACE SO MUCH!"
A loud roar finally brought her back from her little ranting world, but still failed to dissipate her anger. Spotting the dragon, however, was more than enough to send her hiding behind the plant she'd just kicked.
The Walking Corpse
So far, the walk to the Library had been rather uneventful, to Specter Knight. But God, he hated how slow and tedious walking was. He would have just teleported, but the city's ever-changing nature ensured that teleporting any farther than out of sight would be too much of a risk. For all he knew, he could suddenly end up on the edge of a cliff.
As he continued his walk, Specter Knight noticed a man simply milling about. The man didn't look threatening or even hostile. But something was still... off. Specter Knight decided to briefly investigate.
As he got closer, he could see that the man had a completely blank look on his face and his eyes looked utterly dead. The way he was just standing there like that made it clear that he was just a soulless husk. "Poor thing..." Specter Knight found himself muttering, having actually found pity for the emotionally-dead man.
With that, Specter Knight resumed walking towards the Library, though a little faster than before.
Cole turned his attention away from the beanstalk and whatever thoughts he was currently intruding on to stare as the dragon seemed to emerge from the ground, snatching up Miss Tairee and taking to the air.
"I've never seen one with two heads..." he said, hopping off the stalk, hurrying over to the others. "But I've fought dragons before. We have to cripple its wings first or it will simply fly away every time we try to attack. And then we have to avoid the head. And the tail. ...and the feet." He grimaced. "The feet hurt the worst. ...I wouldn't...I wouldn't want to hurt it, but it's already attacked someone. Dragons are dangerous once they've gotten hold of people."
As Wildmutt scaled the beanstalk, he stopped when he heard the sound of the dragon emerging from the ground. Miss Tairee's screaming rang out and got quieter as she was carried off by the dragon. Wildmutt knew what he must do. It's hero time! And saving people was what heroes did.
Wildmutt slid down the beanstalk to reach the ground floor, then roared in the direction of the dragon. Then he leapt into a nearby tree, grabbing the branches above him and beginning to brachiate through the trees in the direction the dragon flew.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.

A lot of people started showing up after the beanstalk showed itself, among them was Ben who promptly started talking to Mary and leading to her telling everyone that she had killed someone and that the stain on her dress was blood, much to the king's surprise. He didn't expect her to be capable of doing something like that, but it does explain what had happened to that other woman...
Ben then transformed into a creature similar to the one he was when they first met and he was about to climb the beanstalk too, but Rex had made him stop in his tracks, coupled with the whimper, it did make for a fairly amusing scene to contrast with the discovery he had just made.
"Jack and the Beanstalk you say?" he asked Rex with a look of curiosity "Would you mind explaining that to me? I believe I have not heard of that story before."
