CoLC crossover RP, main thread

Only 13, and only one other attack even dealt damage. With charging the spur every other round it was still gonna take a while to deal 70 damage at this rate

"Sans, if Two takes any more damage she's not gonna be able to recover her insanity. Unless you're trying to use that drawback to fight the Fighter while we try and pick him off from range we'd better have her draw back." Curly called to the skeleton, "I'm charging my Spur and moving over to the root."

Two, Oh No

"Gah!" She stumbled back when her attack was repelled and Fighter's connected, leaving her with a nasty gash just under her breasts. It hurt, of course, but she wasn't worried about it much; she had hit points to spare. Another part of her was also grateful that the blow didn't damage her clothes. True, they were made from durable materials, but an unwelcome distraction would be a trouble.

What worried Two however was the fact that the Fighter survived their onslaught relatively well. A few attacks hit him, but he didn't seem that much worse for wear. Others closed in and her Insanity counter was running into higher numbers by now. There was no guarantee she would be able to keep it under control this turn. "Can I ask someone to heal me? I wouldn't want to become too much of a problem. A-and I'll be hitting the Fighter again." She said, looking worriedly at Yuna - seemingly the next target of the Fighter.

Then Curly offered advice. "Ah... should I back up instead? Mr. Tester, I'll reconsider my next action for now..."

Mindscape

"Yeah, we're going to get him!" Caboose said happily upon making contact with one of his shots. Sure, he did minimum damage, but understanding that would require being half-competent with numbers. All the humongous failures of the last round were ignored in favor of this happy-go-lucky attitude.

"I'll shoot the bad guy!" he said, before going back to his drawing. Everyone in the mindscape currently was inside the picture, and now he started working on the background. It sort of resembled what a stupid person would think the burning village looked like when it was intact.

Yuna had failed to do anything but hurt herself... again. Between that, and all the times where she'd been unable to act because the opponent had been taken out before she could do anything, she was starting to get a bit frustrated. Just a bit. This time, however, she'd actually caught her opponents attention, if those sword gestures were anything to go by. And while landing successful hits didn't seem to be working out all that well for her, perhaps she'd have better luck taking attacks for the rest of the team. Yes, that could work!

Two, however, seemed rather worried about her. But there was nothing to worry about, really, and she needed to say that... so she quickly walked up to her and placed her hand on her shoulder with a beaming smile.

"Hey, it's okay," the middle-schooler assured. "This is good in a way. Everyone else can keep attacking while I take the hits. I don't mind, really! Plus, even if I get hit and I die, I'll just get sent back outside. I'm sure I'll think of some other way to help while I'm out there... in fact, I think I have an idea!"

It was at that point that she turned towards the other members of the group. Caboose was, in fact, drawing on the ground after all. She couldn't tell for sure what he was drawing from where she was standing, but it looked kind of like... people? No, she had to focus!

"Hey, does anyone know if Silanea has any friends that may want to see her once this is over?" she asked aloud. "Maybe we could let them know she's in the hospital so they can drop by to visit! They'll want to talk to her, I'm pretty sure!"

Something, perhaps a little voice, or a tingly sensation on the back of her head, tried to inform her that she was forgetting something. Something very important...

"...oh right! Any movie's fine, I'm not picky!"

Well if that turn was any indication, the fighter would take ages to whittle down. Worse yet, there was no way to prevent Two from attacking an ally without basically taking her out of the fight entirely.

"let's just keep hitting him and kill him before that becomes a big issue" said Sans, in light of Curly's suggestion, although he then looked at Arcade and Rick. "arcade, rick, heal yuna and two so we don't have to worry as much about that insanity thing and to help yuna stay in hero form". Finally, he looked at Tester. "tester, i want to use the bones on the fighter."

"Heal Yuna," Arcade repeated.

Two, Mindscape

"R-right." After all, if you still had one HP left, you were still standing. Two had to cling to that idea, and not to one that she could possibly cleave right through Yuna or take Caboose's head off...

The bluenette shook her head off fervently. "Okay! I'll attack the Fighter with my blade." She announced, getting ready to have her body take off again. Here was hoping that it would be going in their enemy's direction.

For a while there didn't seem to be anyone big around, until Little Spiderbee flew into view over the rooftops. She was staying up high at the moment though, looking down at the lot with a curious expression.

"Does that mean I should use the Hero Punch again?" Yuna asked when she heard Sans' suggestion. "Or should I try something else? Like blocking? Or a kick? Or the Man-right, I forgot to ask that." She quickly turned towards Tester with an inquisitive look. "What happened to the Mankai? It's not on my paper. Can I still use it?"

Rex's kick didn't go as planned since he fell face first onto the floor. It was clearly the fault of Tester's choice of music. That was obviously pop rock, not rock rock. At least this would show Two that it was okay to fail. And probably make Rex look like an idiot.

"See? Everyone has a bad roll from time to time" he got up and rubbed the dirt off his shirt "Ok, I was just warming up"

The Fighter had attacking Yuna in mind which the girl accepted without problem. She was perfectly okay with acting as a bait since dying here had no drawbacks. Related to that was her plan of telling Silanea's friends she was in the hospital in case she got kicked out of the mindscape.

"I think the NHA is already in the hospital. And besides, we've got this. Just a couple of rounds and this guy will be dust"

Two was most likely going to attack an ally at random next turn which clearly affected her but Sans decided to risk it and assure her—and the whole team—to keep attacking. He did however tell the two scientists to heal the girls just in case.

"Ok, Sir Tristón, this is the good one. I'm going to punch you so hard your parents will feel it" Yuna wasn't sure what attack she should use—or if she should attack in the first place—and even asked Tester why the 'mank-eye' wasn't available to her anymore "Well, you've hurt yourself just by using the Hero Punch, I'd say you should go for the gauntlet strike. And start coming up with better names"

Prison

Well, at least he had a backup plan if things went south. Until then, Riddler would try to get rid of Wells the old fashioned way - a shootout. He dodged around as best he could against Well's phaser while blasting at the militia member with his own, much more lethal gun. While Wells looked good, the Riddler was no stranger to gunfights himself.

Sunset Shimmer| Buffet | "That's no way to treat a kid."

Sunset shook her head, only just noticing the heavier hair which came with the transformation. "Cole, it isn't your fault," she said. "What I'd like to do to your so-called guardians, on the other hand..." Sunset said to herself, the grief and sadness slowly being replaced by a bone-searing anger that promised murder. Or locking them in a room with Fluttershy. "I just have telepathic magic, that's all. I almost forgot I was wearing my geode."

"Oh...n-no, it's...it's not their fault, it's...it's mine, I don't...I don't listen and...and they tell me to stay in places that are safe but I don't, and I want to help so I...I get hurt, it's...fine..."

He winced a little at her explanation. "Oh...oh...I'm...I'm sorry...I...I know it's...it's not very fun to...see into the pain of others. I'll...I'll try to keep you from seeing that again, just...I'll get us to the library."

Cole started towards the door again at a quick walk, holding the hat a little gingerly as he did.

Sunset Shimmer| Buffet| "Oh gosh, it's another Fluttershy."

Sunset blinked and shook her head in exasperation. "Cole, no-one should ever leave a three-year old alone. Ever. It's negligent and dangerous. It's not your fault," she stressed. "Wanting to help isn't a bad thing."

She paused. "Seeing the pain of others means I can help them through it. I don't regret having this ability. Besides, if I ever can't handle it, I'll just take off my geode. Usually it's not a big thing, that just took me by surprise."

Cole grimaced a little, looking to the side. "I wasn't always like this though...I was bigger, I was...stronger, I didn't...people didn't realize what I was. I didn't even...really realize it at first, until everyone talked to me and I understood. It really wasn't their fault. Besides, I...I had powers like you do, though I...I didn't have to touch. I could just hear, people around me, all the time. It...it was hard. It hurt a lot and I wanted to help but...here...it's...hard to help..."

"Onions, they're like... a vegetable, make you cry... then you chop them up into rings, fried in... fuck, I dunno, some kind of oil that's probably bad for you," rambled Rick, staring quizzically at Arcade.

"W-w-w-wait, lemme guess, you're from a, a, dimension where Earth agriculture collapsed following, I dunno... global warming... or something. Don't tell me - you, uh, you, you, you..." Rick screwed up his eyes in concentration, "you... live on a boat like Kevin Costner and recycle your piss." Rick squinted at Arcade again to gauge his reaction. "No? How about - I got this - how about... you... live in the poverty-stricken *uuuurp* bowels of a polluted megacity and you've never seen the light of day until the day you got abducted."

Rick belched heartily, swayed a bit, and wiped some drool off his lip before munching on another onion ring. "Not that, huh. Mmmmm... Desert wasteland following the end of the civilization-ending nuclear war. Gasoline scavengers cruising around in trucks and BDSM gear, thunderdomes, everyone dies of leukemia at 35, that's my final answer."

"Oh and also I heal what's-her-name, yeah," Rick nodded at Sans vaguely.

Prison

On the other side of the gates, Makoto could see some pathways leading to a door that looked to be propped open, noting the cameras placed around the prison. It was a pretty secure facility, ignoring the literal hole that she had passed though. The lack of any real noise was a little suspicious, so she decided to sprint across the yard to not bring attention to herself with her loud Persona's engine. But just as she made it to the doorway, Fastanook took the chair away and allowed it to shut.

"Hey!" Throwing her weight against it didn't even cause it to budge, so she was stuck out here for now. "Well this is great." The fact that Fastanook was here just raised more questions. Why didn't anyone answer the gates outside if there were clearly people around? Instead of continuing to bang on the door, she got closer and put her ear to it to see if she could hear anything. It definitely sounded like something was going on, but she couldn't tell exactly what. Makoto took a few steps back and started looking for any other ways she could get it beyond the door.

Sunset Shimmer| Buffet-Leaving| "..."

Sunset winced. That... made her very glad that she had an off switch. "I... I can't imagine what that'd be like." Hearing that, seeing that, all that.... she shivered. "I don't want to imagine what that must've been like." She paused. "Well, if it's hard to help, I suppose I'll just have to try harder."

The more Rick spoke, the more Arcade seemed to withdraw into himself. He was talking about people dying so cavalierly that it astounded Arcade. It also made him slightly jealous.

As much as Arcade wanted to just accept that he was a dead man, he still didn't want to die; the idea still terrified him. There was nothing left, but he still wanted to hang on.

As he continued to ponder, the only answer Rick got was a strangled sound at the words 'desert wasteland'.

"Hmmm... yeah, you're probably right," Yuna agreed with Rex. "Tester, I'll be going with a normal gauntlet hit." She ponder what the fellow teenager said for a few extra moments, and then she made a final decision. "But... I'm still gonna keep the names as they are for now. I like them, they remind me what I fight for. Plus, then we'd have to change the sheets and it'd get confusing."

Cole maneuvered his way through the door and stepped out of the buffet, squinting up at the sky for a moment, then looking around to try and spy the library. "It...it's fine. You don't need to worry about me, I've taken care of myself for a long time and...I probably will for a long time yet to come."

He seemed to choose a direction and started jogging again, though glancing towards her. "...do you have a demonic side like I used to? Do you need help?"

Yuna decided that giving the gauntlet strike a try was a good idea but changing the name of her attacks was not an option. They apparently reminded her of what she was fighting for and changing them would be a hassle anyway.

"I don't know, 'Hero Punch' is the kind of name that even Ben would say is too ridiculous. Seriously, though, check out my powers to get an idea of what yours should sound like. Besides, it's not like Tester would mind changing the sheets"

Sunset Shimmer|Outside Buffet| "Well, she once turned into a demon to take over the school, but we stopped her with rainbows so that isn’t a problem anymore!"

Sunset crossed her arms. "Cole, you’re three. Of course I'm going to worry about you," she exclaimed. She was taken aback when Cole asked about her demon side. "Um... uh... no? Not anymore. I think. I hope. Besides I only briefly turned into a demon because of the crown and my own arrogance, so I don't think it'll be a problem anymore."

"Oh. I turned into a demon when I was corrupted from my purpose. I...I saw where you glowed, and now you look different, and...I don't want anyone else to become a demon. It's...it hurts, and it's scary. It makes you do things that are...terrible, that you don't want to do, but...that you do want to do, all at once. I...hurt a lot of people."

He winced again. "Please...don't worry about me. We aren't going to know each other very long and...and I don't want to take up any more room...please..."

"Aw, jeez, d-don't let i-it get you *uuurp* down, buddy." Rick patted Arcade on the back in a fashion that could probably be very loosely interpreted as "consoling," for whatever that was worth. "Lotsa *urp* lots - whole lotta people in the multiverse come from post-apocalyptic hellscapes, it doesn't have to define you. Rise above. Throw off that label, y-you are what you make of yourself, don't.... don't... don't let having a mutant third arm or a sixth finger or whatever stop you from grabbing your dream."

Rick stopped and considered.

"I mean, you could probably... you could *uuurp* probably grab it better if you had a third hand," he mumbled after a moment's thought, and proceeded to belch loudly. "Look, point is, if you just... put your past behind you, and move on...." A thought crossed Rick's mind and his eyes gleamed with unconcealed greed.

"Y-y-you don't happen to know if you - in you - if your dimension has a thing called Isotope-322, do you? Green, glowing, may or may not have started the whole nucleus- nuclear cataphroste- catastrophe in the first place..."
