After Plague Knight had walked out on the group on his walnut quest, Yoshika walked back with a dinosaur that was missing a head, roughly torn off at the neck. In her other hand was the head of a dinosaur, missing its body and about half its face already bitten down to the bone. And, in her mouth, was about half a dinosaur's face.
She looked up to Ciri and said "Ig farfed mufind. Eh fan eg angyfing."
Arcade wasn't very interested in the conversations going on around him. Holding up Kelsey wasn't helping his gash. He did overhear the girl Lewis was talking to mention 'riding' someone... And Lewis agreed that he had a 'powerful motor'... Arcade could only shake his head. Teenagers.
Well, he assumed Lewis was a teenager... Did skeleton ghosts age? How did they work exactly? Would Lewis be healed by a stimpak?
Arcade's medical questions were cut off by some loud feedback. He stumbled, almost dropping Kelsey. "The fuck?" he cried. He winced as he ended up jostling his bandage and causing another jolt of pain to fly up his arm. He hissed, but other than that ignored it.
The group walked for quite a bit. Arcade was too busy trying to keep from dropping Kelsey and passing out to notice exactly where they were. "Hey, if anyone sees Eve, would you mind calling her over?" he requested after they'd walked for a little bit. His voice was weaker and he was getting paler, but he simply continued keeping busy.
He breathed a sigh of relief when they finally found the hospital. He considered using his leftover stimpak on himself. They had to have more at the hospital, right? He continued silently following the group.

I say that aloud too sometimes, just: "man, no life."Cole walked in carefully, as though trying to sneak, though not that there was anything to sneak towards or around, really. He just seemed more shellshocked than anything, not so much by the violence (he'd caused bloodbaths of this caliber on his own, really), but more by something that he was apparently hearing.
When Lieutenant Wells spoke to him, he focused on the militia leader for a moment, looking around at everything, shaking his head in disbelief.
"...he was quiet...he was so quiet...wouldn't have thought the boy could be so quiet...maybe it's that shape...maybe it's that form...can it speak? Would it, would he...?"
Cole raised his arm again, reaching up to touch at his shoulder. "That is his device...that is his symbol...what hero could he be, we've done nothing wrong, we've done nothing wrong! We've done-"
His voice choked off at that, abruptly, and he grimaced, looking at Wells. "I...I see it...I see what happened, but...I...I-I can't believe Ben would...I...this...this isn't...like him...he's...he's not this...he's...n-not...he couldn't..."
He looked completely stricken, though, lowering his arms, rubbing at them as though trying to wipe something disgusting off, nearly shivering where he stood, as he stared at the blood on the wall. "People like that aren't your friends...it's...it's not like that..."
Bentaur stared in disbelief. The skull-faced man... was her teacher??? It didn't make a lick of sense. Why would he not just say that he was a friend of hers? That way he could help search. But instead he acted like he was trying to hunt her down? What was wrong with this guy? And... what was wrong with Arcade? He didn't look too good. He looked at Arcade, eyes widening. <Whoa! What happened? Are you hurt? Gimme Kelsey, you need to go to the hospital too!> Bentaur 'shouted' worriedly. As he said that, they were nearing the hospital.
<C'mon, lemme carry her, Arcade needs to keep his strength up,> Bentaur pointed out. He then poked his head in towards the tree, looking around. <Hello? Anyone here? We've got some injured and they need help!> Bentaur 'exclaimed' through thought-speak into the tree.

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.Phoenix blanched. "Wait. Hang on. Did you say...'several ton super soldier'....?"
Maya, still astride Lewis, tilted her head up at him. At some point along the journey she had acquired a new long branch, which she held in front of her with both hands. "Oh. So you're like, actually on fire? All the time? And also a skeleton?"
Before either of them could question their individual questions further, the group had arrived at the Hospital already. Phoenix glanced up at the cross-shaped branches and looked down at his watch. "Huh. That was quick." He looked to Maya, still beside Lewis, and was about to call out to her before he noticed he trying to plug a particularly pointy stone between the split end in her branch. Doing a quick 180 he instead stepped towards Morty. "Hey, Morty, was it? Were you thinking about going to find Rick at all?"
Grocery Grove
Rethinking about what Ciri said to Plague Knight, Lucas did realize there was a slight mistake about Yoshika's stupidity being the result of her freedom. He might have corrected her, but something was distracting him all of a sudden.
Oh god that was a dinosaur head being eaten by Yoshika, what the hell?! He felt a bit sick for a moment, and quickly used a low level healing on himself to regain his composure. It wasn't like he hadn't seen animals eating other animals before, but a person doing it was just... grotesque. Still, Yoshika was his friend, and friends had to look past certain things if they weren't destructive. Fooling her into thinking that he didn't mind shouldn't be a problem with how she was thinking right now. Putting on a forced smile, Lucas said to her "I'm sorry, what did you say, Yoshika? You aren't speaking clearly because your mouth is... full. Um... do you need to eat more or will this be enough?" He hoped she would be done after this. It was kind of disgusting, and therefore distracting.
Why is a yam attacking me?Ciri - Grocery Grove : Grisly Work
Ciri sighed as Plague Knight dashed off. Her sigh was extended as she saw Yoshika return with a dinosaur that she no-doubt accidentally started to eat raw. Girls would be girls, she supposed."It's alright, it doesn't seem to resemble the toxic draconids I know of, but if you start to notice any sort of effects from eating it, I'll give you a Golden Oriole to deal with the poison." Pulling her dagger out of its sheathe on her hip, she approached the dinosaur Yoshika had dragged along. "Well then, we need to dress this so that we can take it with us. Watch how it's done. First you have to flip it onto its back, so that its stomach is facing up. Then, you find its rear...."
With those words, Ciri shoved the dagger up the dead dinosaur in a place that would have been very unpleasant if it were still alive. Soon enough, though, with that initial incision done, she would be carving it up properly.
"Crash-Jungle-This is the Pits'''
Crash clamped his hands over his sensitive nose as the group approached a big ol' tar pit. The bad stench was so rank, Crash couldn't help but let out a low whine. The sooner they got out of here, the better!
It was then then a giant dino menacingly ripped through the trees...only to sink into the tar. Crash watched as the dino (it looked like a sad T-Rex) sadly sank into the muck. What a way to go. Well, at least it wouldn't attack them now.

Morty winced at the double entendres flying around the little group and tried to ignore Lewis's increasingly bawdy line of commentary, preferring instead to smile awkwardly at Phoenix's questions.
"Well... you know," said Morty, sounding more dismissive than anything as the massive hospital-tree came into view, "Rick's an adult; he can take care of himself. How much trouble can he get into anyway?"
"Welp, better... better keep moving," announced Rick after taking in the (admittedly) grisly sights of mass animal death. He cracked the vine-reins and kicked his steed into action; snorting indignantly, Roger lumbered along the edge of the broken landscape, skirting the thick mass of tar. It was a fairly leisurely pace; as they walked, Rick watched the two-legged dinosaur roaring in rage as it sank ever further into the viscous mass.
"You know that - that's a *urp* that's a real valuable geOOurgHOLogy lesson right there... in the making. Any of you kids have a - a tow- city called Los Angeles in your universes, that's the essence of... this is the authentic experience you're getting, right here. None of that tourist *urp* trap shit, just the, the pure undiluted essence of... of... dinosaur suffering. I bet there are like twenty different dinosaurs right here that nobody's ever heard of all dying like idiots."
Roger grunted as he surmounted a particularly large log, his passengers swaying back and forth like a ship at sea.
"Take a deep breath." Rick did so. "You smell that? That's the - the smell of learning, guys. That's what a mass grave smells like. It smells like learning." He rounded off this rather glibly terrifying philosophical statement by taking a swig from his flask.
As they reached the other end of the shoreline - where their trail headed back into the jungle - Roger's canter slowed to a trot, then to a standstill. His nostrils flared as he twitched his head.
"Welp." Rick had already produced his laser pistol in his hand as his steed hunkered down for... something, whatever that was. The sound of something - somethings crashing through the brush beyond grew louder and louder. It may have been something of a relief when a pair of squat, lumpy carnivores
◊ came snuffling through the woods towards them, heavy heads held low in some kind of hunting posture. Roger backed up and snorted, for all the good that did him - the two reptiles were lazily circling their prey the way sharks might casually cruise around a collapsing ocean liner.
"You know, some - some - oftentimes learning is an inexact process," admitted Rick as he fumbled with the settings on his laser pistol. "You think you're the one doing all the schooling but your assistant principal is being a *urp* bitch and going over your head to the board..."

"Yes..."
I faintly registered Morty's somewhat reassured but mostly weirded out reaction to this whole Chise situation before a horrible ringing sound blared from my phone. Startled, I scrambled for a few seconds to shut it up by trying to lock the phone, then closing the app when that didn't do the trick. Only when I was sure I wasn't going to die again from the feedback if I opened it back up did I deign to do so. On the other end, Chise and Louie were complaining about Rex wrecking the thing.
I rolled my eyes, thinking of sending him a photo of myself flipping him off before deciding against it. "You make one dirty joke...
"Anyway," I continued, listening to the doctor on hand making a request. "Is Eve still with you? I'm asking for Arcade, he wants to know apparently."
Speaking of whom, Ben pointed out that he looked like shit. How had I missed that? I took out that gel from before and poked him with it. Well, at least the hospital was in sight, or at least what could be assumed to be the hospital.
I glanced at Morty. "Y'know, kid, that's the same lady who challenged you to a death match that one time you lost it."
i guess you can watch me shitpost i guessEve|Grocer Grove|That Works Too
They dropped it. She had the feeling that Rex would bug her about it later, but she could cross that bridge when she came to it. The feedback that Rex caused in the walkie-talkie made her wince, having encountered feedback at bad times. She found herself worried about Arcade, remembering he had been wounded. But first she needed to do something, go somewhere. Before she murdered Rex. Or gave him an impromptu hair and eyebrow trim. Probably the latter.
Before she could move, she heard her name and Arcade's mentioned over the walkie-talkie. Walking forward, she leaned in. "I'm here. Is Arcade okay? He was wounded." Eve spoke with a considerable amount of concern in her voice.
[TOP SECRET]"Oh, I get it. Homeschooled" Rex commented after hearing that Chise didn't go to school anymore.
Meanwhile, the feedback did its job, shutting up Lewis and making him drop the subject. It unfortunately made quite the ruckus from Rex's end of the line "You can't trust technology these days" which made Chise wonder if he had broken the walkie-talkie and Louie want to have it back "Hey, it's technically no one's property"
The skeleton wised up and asked if Eve was there since Arcade was worried about her. Since she had overheard the conversation Rex figured there was no reason to keep wasting time talking.
"Anyway, we're on our way" he said to the speaker and threw the walkie-talkie at Eve so she could continue the conversation "Catch!"
With that out of the way, it was time to actually head to the library. Rex was ready to leave, wings and all.
"Ready to go? And before you ask, no, I can't build seatbelts"
Unfortunately, before leaving, Rex was subject to the sight of Yoshika eating a dead dinosaur's face and Ciri starting to gut one by cutting it in places that made the teen wince.
"Agh, please. You can just ask Tairee for food. You don't need to gut a dinosaur, that's just messed up"
Ciri - Grocery Grove
"I don't plan on being in this City forever, Rex," Ciri said to the EVO over the sounds of her dagger as she cut away at the dinosaur carcass. She pulled one hand out of the creature so that she could point disapprovingly at Rex, holding its trachea as she did so. "And if everything goes to plan, neither will Yoshika. When we make her human again, there's no telling who will adopt her, and what world they come from, so this will be a critical skill for her to know in the future. I'm not going to free her from Seiga's grasp simply to have her starve."She rolled the velociraptor onto its side so that she could continue cleaning and draining it.
"Yeah, several ton super soldier. With the blue armor. Didn't you see him at the grove?" Samson said to Phoenix simply, before turning his attention towards the hospital as Bentaur 'called' out to it.
There was a thump and some muffled cursing from inside the hospital, away from the front doors. The front doors opened pretty quickly, and a confused looking Fastanook came out to look around. "Okay, the sudden voice in my head is kinda spooky" Fastanook called out, before he spotted the group. "Samson? I thought you guys were going to the library" the gremlin said to them.
"Deception to keep the big blue off our trail. So you don't know we're here, got it?" Samson replied as the group made their way into the hollow tree that was the hospital.
"Ah, alright then. Better hurry inside then; I thought I heard some jetpacking out here a while ago" Fastanook told them, and motioned the group inside before closing the doors.
"Give a man some warning before you go telepathing in his head, jeez!" Dave complained as he came down from upstairs, one hand rubbing his head at the base of one of his horns. "You better not be reading my mind too... So, what's this about?" the doctor asked them.
"Patients, two of them. This lady's a Ruckus member and very dangerous; we need to keep her from dying her way out of custody. And then he's got a wounded arm" Samson explained, motioning to Kelsey and then Arcade.
"Oh hey, aren't you they guy who talked to me at the library?" Dave said, recognizing Arcade. He looked at Arcade's arm, then at his bloody chainsaw dagger, and holstered pistol. "... I see the Hippocratic Oath is optional in your universe too" the doctor commented idly.
Dave took in and then let out a deep breath. "Alright, let's get her to an operating room and get started" Dave told them, with a motion at Kelsey. "Martha will see to you in the meantime" the doctor added towards Arcade, then looked up the hollow tree and yelled, "Martha! Got a lacerated arm down here for you to take care of!"
"I'm coming!" Martha called back, already on her way down the stairs. Samson and one of the other militia members took Kelsey off of Bentaur's back and quickly followed Dave into another room, while Martha hurried over to take a look at Arcade's arm.
"So..." Fastanook trailed off as he looked at the rest of the group. But before he could ask whatever was on his mind, his walkie talkie went off...
"So you can confirm they're not lying, and that this all really happened" Wells said, after taking a moment to think through what Cole had said.
"Isn't this proof enough that this all happened?!" the Literate insisted.
"Just because you're not lying doesn't mean you're telling the real truth" Wells responded, casting the man a slight glare.
"What's... What's that supposed to mean" the Literate responded, taking a moment to calm his tone after seeing Wells' expression.
"It means there's something fishy about this whole thing, and I intend to..." Wells trailed off, looking back at the room, then groaned in frustration and leaned his head back.
"Sir, something wrong?" one of the other militia members asked him.
"If we investigate this and find Ben guilty, I bet his hero friends are gonna call foul and we'll be up above our eyeballs in the rough" Wells explained simply, sighing and thinking, then grabbing his walkie talkie. "Wells here. This is going to sound strange, but does anybody know of any investigators in the city? Ones that aren't associated with us?" the militia leader asked into it.
"Uh... Why, sir?" Rachel's voice asked in return.
"Not something to be explained over the channel right now. But we need a third party in this case" Wells' responded.
"I don't want to learn any more about this damned smell! Just get us the hell away from here!" Veela complained through the muffling of her shirt being wrapped around her muzzle. As Rick went on to some teaching metaphors as they spotted the hostile looking dinosaurs, she added, "what the heck are you talking about?!"
"I'm a little old for school now, no thank you" John said, aiming his rifle at one of the carnivores.
"John, save your ammo. I got this" Blue said in a confident tone. Drawing a fancy, blue bow from seemingly nowhere, Blue knocked an arrow and fired it at one of the beasts from up in the air where he was flying. It zipped through the air very fast, a bit faster than it seemed like an arrow should go in fact, and it trailed blue flames. It pegged the carnivore in the side, which then abruptly burst into flames; though said blames were also blue, and rather than radiate heat, they seemed to radiate cold. It was still no less painful for the dinosaur, and would cause it plenty of harm in the 8-9 seconds that it lasted before it stopped.
Blue then turned his attention towards the other one as he landed between it and the group. He put away his bow back into seemingly nowhere, then drew from there that sword seemingly made of ice that he had before, and held it at the ready. Meanwhile Veela got her wrench hammer ready as John kept his gun trained on the first dino that Blue had hit, in case it decided to attack despite being on fire.

You are reading this.As the group began to funnel into the hospital, Maya puffed up her cheeks, swinging her makeshift spear to point at Lewis. "Hey—!" She was cut short as the pointy rock that acted as the tip of the spear flung off the end and clattered on the ground. Maya stared forlornly at it for a brief second before rounding on Lewis again, jabbing her un-spear in the air at him. "You were the one who wanted to talk to me and Nick, and you knew our names. Stop ignoring me already!"
Phoenix, meanwhile, was still keeping his attention on Morty, calmly ignoring anything that might cause a brain vessel to pop. "I don't doubt he can handle himself. He just seems worried about you. Also he might need an eye kept on him in case he causes anymore stampedes..."
It was then (after the people who need to respond to them responded, of course) that Fastanook's walkie talkie sounded off. Despite not being too far into the tree-building, the sound echoed enough for them to hear it. Phoenix looked curiously through the tree's entrance, and, as usual, Maya took the first leap. As in she literally leaped through the handful of people milling around towards Fastanook, snatching the walkie talkie away from him. "Hello! Maya Fey speaking! We investigate cases and stuff!"
Phoenix was thankfully able to weave his way over to her, taking the device away from her before she could do any auditory harm. "Maya, calm down and apologize to the...man?" As Maya bowed her head and apologized to poor Fastanook, Phoenix resumed the conversation with the walkie talkie. "Uhm. Yes. Hello? My name is Phoenix Wright. I'm a defense attorney...?"
'''Crash-Jungle Tar Pit-Dueling Dinos in a Pit Fight"
Whatever it was Rick was saying was going right over Crash's head. If Coco was here, she's probably understand. She was smart like that. Crash hoped that Coco wasn't worrying too much over Crash's disappearance the other day. He'd have to get back soon to show her that he was okay.
Before Crash could muse any further, two large dino's swarmed their little group. These were some big dino's, meaning he's have to take out the heavy firepower. Grinning a grin that was full of confidence and his eyebrow's lowered, Crash stood up on Roger's back and pulled out a big ol' bazooka right out of his pocket. Taking aim at the dino Blue hadn't yet attacked, Crash fired the bazooka right at it. Instead of firing a rocket though, a wumpa fruit was launched from the gun. It traveled at high velocity towards the dino, and once it impacted, it would strangely enough cause a little explosion.

The Church of Literacy? The name didn't really ring any bells for Jack, but the fact it had been attacked was bad. But then, Cole's last few words made the spirit frown heavily. "Ben? He'd only just left before we did. Unless he somehow got there right away and decided to... to attack them randomly, then something is up."
The Guardian had no doubts there was something more to it. And the arrival at the church just confirmed it. The place was a mess, and the spirit was surprised to see clothes left behind. That was new. But... the sheer carnage, the violence that went on in here. There was no chance it was Ben. Which meant someone was trying to frame the already struggling child. Anger bloomed in Jack's chest, and he grit his teeth slightly.
After Cole spoke, the winter spirit stepped forward and put a supportive hand on his shoulder as he looked between everyone else. He focused in particular on the Literate. "I'm sorry that this happened, but it wasn't Ben. Not only wouldn't he ever do something like this, we saw him just before." Then he focused on Wells, frowning slightly. "How are you going to try and investigate?"
What did he mean with "nobody's property"? It clearly belonged to that boy and while I had no idea what Rex had done to that walkie-talkie, it clearly wasn't supposed to do that.
The skeleton man, whose name was apparently Lewis, then told us to tell him if Eve was still with us on behalf of someone named Arcade. Judging from Eve's comment right afterwards, that seemed to be the name of the doctor from earlier, they did seem to be fairly close to each other from what little I managed to see.
Well, it was better to leave her to talk to him, maybe he could help her feel a little better since they seemed to know each other well. Rex asked me if I was ready to go, to which I nodded. He did, however, draw attention to the two girls who were eating and cutting up a dinosaur corpse.
I wish he hadn’t.
Feeling a little nauseous, I focused on getting to the library. Rex joked about how he couldn't make seatbelts, but now I had to wonder how we were going to do this.
"So... Uh... Do I just do..." I moved behind him and then proceeded to wrap my arms around him as if I was hugging him, "... this...?" I asked him, my tone coming out more meek than I wanted it to.
Suddely this whole thing very felt uncomfortable and I couldn't help but begin thinking maybe going on the dragon would be better.
As I walked away the little girl began acting like a spoiled child, something I couldn't care less for. However the adult man dissuaded her from pursuing me and tried to give me some advice that I really didn't need. Still, since they weren’t getting in my way I figured there would be no harm in giving them some advice of my own.
"This city is changing itself at every moment, only the very center and the edges are constant. It'd do you well to keep that in mind."
Not for one moment did I stop walking forward, but I knew they were still within the range of my voice. Whether they actually paid attention to what I said was up to them.
Eve|Grocety Grove| I'm Keeping That Typo. I Like It.
Eve caught the walkie-talkie with an ease only granted by practice dodging bullets. "Arcade?" she questioned into the walkie-talkie, tone once again concerned. Last time she saw him, Arcade had been wounded and clearly not interested in taking care of himself.
If he got himself killed, she was going to be so pissed.
Meanwhile, Rex and Chise were being awkward, which was somewhat hilarious, and Yoshika was eating a dinosaur raw while another person gutted it. That was not a thought she ever thought she'd think. New situations, she supposed.
[TOP SECRET]By the time Ben was able to carry Kelsey himself, Arcade's hypovolemic shock had become severe. His blinking was slowed and he was clearly rather out of it. When Lewis poked him with the gel, he just stared at the skeleton uncomprehendingly.
By this point his blood was starting to seep through the bandage; he could hear people around him talking about things, but the ringing in his ears was keeping him from processing it. He let Martha take his arm without much comment, as all of his energy was being used to keep himself upright.
I say that aloud too sometimes, just: "man, no life."Ben winced as no one else picked up the walkie talkie to talk to Eve. She asked multiple times for Arcade, each time in a worried voice. Ben couldn't take it anymore and pressed the button on his chest. The area was bathed in red light, and Ben stood there in his human form. "Sorry about the psychic thing, I didn't know that alien did that!" Ben exclaimed. He then pulled out the walkie talkie.
"This is Ben. Sorry about earlier. Long story, I was an alien that only spoke with his mind," Ben explained. "Arcade is hurt. We're at the hospital, though, so everything's gonna be okay. We've got a couple people hurt though so we'll probably be stuck here for a bit. How are you guys holding up? What's going on over there?"

"What? Why's everybody so—blood of the architect, that stinks!" I gagged as the smell of the tar pit hit me like a mine cart. I covered my nose with a claw and watched a dinosaur emerge from the trees, only to get lost in the tar. I almost felt bad for it. "What kind of geology lesson is that?" I said once we started moving again. "I majored in geology. Of course, tar pits are pretty common underground, but we usually have the common sense to go around them."
Not a few minutes later had we already encountered another problem. A pair of dinos had shown up, and despite the size difference, our dinosaur felt threatened and refused to move. Thankfully, Blue and Crash had the situation under control (with magic lightning/fire/ice arrows and fruit, respectively). I approached the one that Blue shot cautiously, aware that the blue flame was cold instead of hot. I rolled my eyes and pulled out my pick axe. "I got this," I told John, then conked it right between the eyes.
(holds pool noodle threateningly) Do you want to know what we do to artists? After grabbing some almonds, Plague Knight surveyed the grove, and found a couple more foods to obtain. He doubled jumped and used a float burst to float over to another tree, picking some blueberries, and went over to a third tree to grab some more berries and leaves. The knight did this two more times, collecting enough in ingredients before floating back down to Ciri, Yoshika, and Lucas.
"These foods are known to promote increases mental stimulus back in my universe," Plague Knight explained. "If the hospital is similar to this grove here, we can easily pick up some medicinal herbs to round out are you consuming flesh out off of that reptile's head?" The alchemist had changed the subject of his statement mid sentence after seeing Yoshika casually eating a dead raptor's head.
He heard the radio function of his phone go off and he picked it up. "'Plague Knight here. The crisis at the grove has been long dealt and we're moving on. I believe most everyone will be headed to the library, but I myself will be heading to the hospital now, though, as I have been commissioned for some potion making. What does the place look like?"

DAMMIT MARK, STOP HITTING HELPY!!As we reached the door, Eve answered to the request about her, concerned for Arcade’s well-being on account of his injury. I looked back at him for a response, but he just stared at me cluelessly. Did I look like that a couple days ago? Jesus.
Well, Ben turned back to his normal self and answered for us as we were going inside. That was great, both in itself and because Maya started complaining about me blowing her off this whole time.
"Geez, geez, ok," this shit was less annoying when you were just an observer, "I recognized you guys from a game and wanted to take a picture, excuse me for things coming up unexpectedly. Hold on, I think this thing runs in the background..."
A nurse escorted the bleeding doctor off to get treated toward the tail end of that last sentence, before that one little gremlin’s walkie talkie asked for non-militia investigators. How lucky for them, that one Phoenix Wright was just near enough to hear of the case and take it.
"Wow. My frivolity pays off," I quietly thought out loud. You're welcome, militia. You're welcome.
Of course, now that photo would have to wait even longer, but oh well.
Plague Knight popped into the channel to ask what the hospital looked like, since apparently he had some potion crafting to do. Maybe he wanted some extra chemicals to work with? "Glad to hear everything's alright over there. The place is a big tree with a cross on the front. There's some herbs around it if you need them. That help any?"

i guess you can watch me shitpost i guess

"Well she nearly drove one of her axe things into my neck" Samson commented to Ben after he mentioned Kelsey's supposed apology. Samson glanced back at Phoenix again, then at Morty, with a slight frown. "Alright, but if we get killed by a several ton super soldier wearing tank armor, don't blame me" the militia member responded to the lawyer, then refocused on heading into the jungle.
One of the other militia members glanced at Phoenix after his question. "Yeah, basically. Our leader is Wells, and he wants to keep this place from descending into total anarchy" the militia member answered Phoenix.
They entered into the jungle area shortly, and kept moving quickly. Samson, leading the other militia members for now, promptly began the strategy of taking turns as often as possible. In this case around large trees, to purposely break line of sight and encourage the city's shifting effect. It seemed to be working, and they even briefly spotted the tall grass around the grocery in the distance, before taking another turn and it wasn't where they saw it before. After a while, one of the other militia members perked up. "Wait, look there" the militia member said, and pointed off at a big, stout tree not too far away. Around it was a bunch of small plants, and on one side was a door; above that door, gnarled branches made a rough cross shape.
"That's gotta be it. Let's go" Samson said, and they started carrying Kelsey that way.
"Cole? What's wrong?" Miss Tairee asked, then as Cole and Jack left, she tried to call out, "Cole, your stuff!..." She let out a slight sigh, then went back to attending to the kids.
Meanwhile, the Miss Tairee at the central desks seemed a bit distracted as that happened, then refocused on Shinji. "Ah, sorry. A club and a sling you said? Very well, hold on" Miss Tairee said, typing on her computer. A few moments later, there was a blur on the desk, and a very simple wooden club appeared. A few more moments and another blur, and there was a leather sling, and a collection of small, smooth stones. "Will you be needing anything else?" the librarian then added.
"Alright, as long as you can keep up" Blue said to Digger with a slight shrug. He turned around, then his ice wings spread out to either side and started flapping as he jumped, soaring him up into the air to keep up with Roger easily. Blue couldn't seem to keep flying forever, and had to keep landing and taking off again, but at no point did he seem to lose his horizontal momentum.
When they reached the tar pit, Veela was already reacting before the others. "Ackh! What the- that smells like someone dumped a wasteworks into a blast furnace!" Veela complained, gagging at the smell and doing her best to cover her sensitive nose.
"Huh? What's- ogh! Geez that does reek!" John said.
Blue flew over and nearly into the tar pit, but then threw an arm back and shot out some kind of steel grappling hook with a blue head into the solid ground next to the tar pit, and suddenly reeled directly over to it. He looked at the scene ahead of them and let out a slight whistle. "Well, it sure is something. But it's not the grocery, so let's keep moving" Blue said, then turned to move away from the tar pit.
Sir Redring looked at Kamina and Simon, blinking a couple times. "Well, I'm looking for any good to be done and people to save! If you are searching for the same, then I'll take the offer!" Sir Redring said to them boisterously.
Meanwhile, Louie cringed at Rex's antic with the walkie talkie. "Geez, dude! Come on, give it back!" Louie said to Rex in a slightly annoyed tone.
When Cole and Jack found the large tree that Cole was looking for, another group was already there. The bloodied door was already open, and Wells' militia team were inside, surveying the scene and talking with the Literate that was with them. There was still no bodies as usual, but blood stained clothes marked the places where people had died, usually with large slashes, stab holes, or crisply burnt; what looked like dual claw marks and black burns also marked some of the walls and furniture.
And of course, the blood. Plenty of blood. Blood that someone had dipped into to mark the walls. DO NOT WORSHIP THE DEMON was written in large letters on the back wall, just behind the main podium. Another wall was marked with a smaller message of, the city knights were here with an outline of the omnitrix symbol drawn next to that.
"... It just doesn't make much sense with Ben's MO" Wells was saying as the two entered, mid conversation with the fur-wearing Literate.
"There was no mistaking that outfit or the symbol! And you know he hates us!" the Literate responded.
"Sir, visitors" one of the other militia members said, to get Wells' attention. He looked over at Cole and Jack.
"Cole... I don't suppose you can shed any light on what happened here?" Wells asked after he recognized the spirit.
