"Yes, it's 'Sekreh', not 'Secret'. And changing my name was one of the job requirements" the Miss Tairee moving with Rex said, her expression dulled and looking just a little annoyed. She then gave a very short sigh. "Message for you, Rex" she muttered just afterward, as another note appeared in front of Rex with a blur. Something else also appeared with it, which the note was resting on top of. It seemed to be... A tiny door and door frame, no more than three inches tall.
You are quite eager to take on these challenges, despite the downsides that have afflicted you personally, don't you think? Already you are in the middle of facing two, as well as the daily challenge for the whole city, and here you come asking for another before you've finished any of those.
But if you insist, this seems an excellent time to bring in a story idea I have not yet found a time to insert into the city. This small door is the key, but it will not function on a peaceful day such as this. When the time comes, bring whoever you wish to help you, and place it on Silanea's head. Make sure you are safe and well guarded for what comes next though, as you will be standing helpless until it is finished. And good luck in there; you'll need it. Oh, and be sure not to lose that door.
As usual beneath that was the multi-dimensional scribble of a signature.

"That's a start, I can think of more than a few monsters in my world that have at least some of those traits, we can focus on strategies for dealing with all of those once we've gotten you a way to defend yourself.""Great strength is useful for a heavy weapon. A Mahakaman two-handed axe would pair well with for someone with more muscle and less experience," Ciri said to Yoshika as she thought. "You would still do well to learn on a traditional sword as well, to practice and refine motions and techniques."
She turned her attention to Tairee. "Where can I find a blacksmith, weaponsmith, or simply a merchant who deals in weapons?" she asked the librarian.

Festive streets -> Cinema
"Maybe!? I don't know ... It probably goes a bit deeper ... After all ... There was a time when calling too much attention ... Would mean worse than just embarassament ..." Caro as she kept bounding about, her expression sombering for an instant, before lifting right back up, as she added, "Plus, there is military life and all ... And I suppose Fate did me raise well ... In the end, I don't think there is much a difference! It's just who I have become ... I mean, yeah, this is kinda fun! But I think it is just not in me to act like it all the time ..."
She spotted something out of the corner and making an abrupt turn, as soon as she recognized it, pointed towards the building and called out, "There it is! The cinema! We are here! Come on, let's get to this party ... " as she started to bound towards it.

"So, 'secretary', what's your actual name then?" Rex asked Tairee, while he waited for the Writer to give him a challenge.
"To bring her people back" Rex explained to Curly, as Tairee summoned a door small enough to fit on the palm of his hand. Funnily enough, it had a working frame and everything which Rex inspected opening and closing it a few times "...and I guess this has something to do with that?" he grabbed the note to see what the door was. Apparently, all he had to was place the door on Silanea's head, which would reveal something dangerous. The note didn't spell it out but it was obvious that challenge was a straight-up fight. Things were starting to look up, though, because that was the kind of thing Rex could handle in his sleep "Finally! Something simple"
"We just need to put this on Silanea's head and fight whatever comes out of it" he casually explained to Lewis, while he put the little door in his pocket.
Rex also decided to finally put on the cape and the mask Tairee had given him. With Sans was outside the library at the moment and the perfect excuse of Silanea's to go to the cinema, no one would really think twice about him heading out with Tairee. Hopefully.
"Come on gente, time's running out. We need to get moving"
As he said that, he left the library in with Ara, presumably Jack Skellington and Tairee, and whoever else decided to follow him.

There wasn't much that could be said regarding Caro's response, it was about what he'd expect from her. Soon enough they came across the cinema and Caro rushed over to it, he had to wonder if she was actually hyped for the party or if it was just the Sea Tea acting. Sans merely followed inside, hoping that during this time he was away things were all set and Silanea had been found.
"by the way i forgot to mention but this party is to cheer up my boss," he told Caro as they came in.
"Oh. R-Right." Phoenix stared at the nameplate, having sworn it wasn't there a moment ago. "Er, are you all Miss Tairee?"
Maya groaned out, tugging on the end of Phoenix's sleeve. "Nick, I'm hungry."
"We just got here, Maya."
"What does that have to do with me being hungry? My stomach doesn't listen, it just feels. Y'know, feels hungry."
Phoenix sighed. "Ah, Miss Tairee, miss? Is there anyplace to eat around here? Preferably cheap..."
The Miss Tairee sitting at the central desks glanced up to Ciri. "Due to the nature of the city, nowhere specific that would still be relevant to you by the time you followed my directions there. Besides, also due to the nature of the city, it's very unlikely that they would accept any of your money in trade, and would probably ask for something else instead; if they agreed to give you any weapons at all" the Miss Tairee answered Ciri at length.
"However, there is a simple alternative. I can create for you almost any weapon that a blacksmith could" the Miss Tairee then suggested.
The Miss Tairee still following Rex moved outside with him and the others, and rolled her eyes. "That is my actual name. I just said that changing my name was a requirement of taking the job; and my boss and his friends have an odd sense of humor" that Miss Tairee responded to Rex.
Meanwhile, the Miss Tairee standing near Phoenix and Maya gave a short, single nod. "Well yes. These are all me; I'm currently in ten places at once" that Miss Tairee answered him. "Money is practically worthless here, since most people here are not even from the same universes. As such, you don't have to worry about buying anything; generally if you want food, you just go in a place that has it and get it. However, you might have to worry about dealing with other residents who also want that food, or have laid claim to that building" the librarian then explained to the two.
"However, there is also a simple alternative. I can create for you almost any food that exists. After all, my main duty here is to help, within limits" the Miss Tairee then suggested to the two.
As Chuck and Connor continued trying to rinse out the pan just outside the Cinema entrance, they noticed Sans and Caro approaching. "Hey Sans!... I thought Curly said you were going to show up with her" Connor said, giving the two a quick wave in greeting. "We're still working on waking up Silanea" the Fanboy then added.

"If you're being so generous, I suppose she could use a heavy two-handed axe," Ciri asked Tairee, who was quickly becoming her best friend in the city. The quickest way to a Witcher's heart was with a sword, after all, and being able to arm the Jiangshi would be immensely useful. If she was going to ask, though, she may as well ask big. Shame was for the dead. Weapons were for the living - well, the living and the undead, considering present company. And considering present company was undead and apparently as strong as a team of lumberjacks, it wouldn't hurt to give her a little more weight to carry around. And perhaps something to help with not being on fire. The types of zombies she knew of were rather weak to flames. Of course, the zombies she dealt with also weren't fully intelligent little girls, so it was possible she was completely wrong, but it wouldn't be too much of a hindrance in any case.
"As well as a silver short-sword with a sheath, back straps for both, a dagger with a boot sheathe, a hand crossbow, a clasp for it, and a pouch for its ammunition." She nodded, confident she had covered most of the basics. That would hopefully give the girl enough to defend herself with if the worst came to pass. Though given what she had said about her physiology, a little bit of armor could go a long way.
"Ah, and the sturdiest plate helmet that can fit on her head," she added, pointing at Yoshika. "If you have draconid leather and meteorite, a fitted set of Shiadhal's
◊ would be good, I think its resistance to flame would help. If not, a set of leather boots, pants, and a jacket would suffice. They would at least help more than her current attire."
Rex's explanation of the terms of this deal to help Silanea were...sparse. Luckily, I've watched enough tv to understand it was one of those plots. Materializing and destroying her inner demons. Joy. "Mm."
In the meanwhile, apparently he still wanted to play matchmaker. Well, it was a break day...and the snake at the heart of this matter was going to be at their destination anyway. He headed off with the lucky couple and...Tairee?
Um.
"Good luck, or something. Don't make too much of a mess," I called as he left, not exactly enthused.
I nudged Curly. "That's all I was suggesting. So, if this place is home to you, what does that make me? Heh."
i guess you can watch me shitpost i guessBen shrugged slightly, looking out the windows and then back at Cole. "Well, we could either ask Miss Tairee for some, or go outside and get some from one of the stalls," Ben explained. "Given the time of day, I'd much rather ask Miss Tairee so I don't run into Pale and Freaky out there," he explained.
Ghostfreak stared at Seiga's outstretched hand for a moment, before looking back up at her and grabbing it with his own cold and clammy hand, shaking it. "I am Zs'Skayr, ecto-lord of Anur Phaetos. You would do well to remember that. And do not refer to me by the insulting moniker that Tennyson has given me," he replied.
When Rick showed mostly apathy to hearing his plan, he tilted his head again. "I do not eat," he simply stated. "And I have no desire to."

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.North said farewell to Jack, the other Guardians joining in as the skeleton turned to leave. As Tommy set the mirror down, they all begin to talk quietly with each other for a time.
As 'Sandy Claws' went around the library, handing out presents, he'd run into the children. Onwyn, who had apparently finished her call, was nestled sadly on a couch in a ball of feathers. When Jack placed a present in front of her, she stared at it and him in confusion but said nothing. Mary looked freaked out, keeping Sarah close as the tall skeleton handed the excited young girl presents for her and her sister. Offeran saw the giant freaky creature walking around and promptly ducked out of sight.
When Jack made it to Eric, the young boy was holding a tablet and sniffling quietly. He jumped when he saw the skeleton. "W-what the heck are you?"
Jack swore he was sweating a little as he faced down the serious expressions. He chuckled awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck. The idea of explaining to Ara what a date was completely, and after he'd already said one thing, was something that made his stomach twist. "I mean, is it really necessary? We're just, you know, pretty much just tagging along with the others. It's not a- a date. They're- they're not my kind of thing, you know."
Cinema
So that was what it is was. She did have to wonder if it was a good idea for her to be there, being human and because of yesterday's events, but, just maybe, showing that at least some humans did care enough to participate in it would help.
"Well, let's hope it works, then!" Caro then replied. It was then that someone greeted them. It seemed that he and his friends we were helping set up the party. She vigorously waved back at him as she began hopping in place. Something he said was a bit of concerning though. She had no idea about Silenea's sleeping habits, but she got the feeling that something was wrong. As such, she then asked, "Wake her up!? Did something happen!?"
The Miss Tairee sitting at the desk started to type on the keyboard, and off to the side one of the other Miss Tairee copies started typing on her holographic screen as well to keep up with Ciri's list. Each item appeared with a blur, and were of simple, practical, non-fancy design; the metal used was steel, with the exception of the silver sword. She only paused at the request of armor, which Miss Tairee then shook her head. "Draconian leather and meteorite is beyond what I'm allowed to give you. However, I can make the leather attire resistant to flames regardless" that Miss Tairee said simply, and thus then made said leather items.
Meanwhile, Sandy Claws didn't seem too bothered by the children's' reactions. "I'm Sandy Claws! Here, have a present- gotta run!" Sandy Claws said in response to Eric, placing a gift down in front of the boy and moving on without pausing to continue the conversation. Tommy was simply thankful when he got a present, as he'd heard North talking with Sandy Claws while holding the mirror and knew the skeleton must be on the up and up. Seirwuosuhr on the other hand had pretty much the exact same reaction as Onwyn, and just stared at the skeleton in slight confusion as he left.
The skeleton then hurried out the revolving doors that Rex had taken, following him, that copy of Miss Tairee, and whoever else was with them. Little Spiderbee had hitched a ride on the skeleton's hat, staying on the back of it and peeking out from it.
"She had a freak out at the hospital and the doctor there sedated her. Apparently Curly told her of her universe's bleeding effect, and she didn't take it well" Connor explained in response to Caro.
You are reading this.Arcade nodded, since he didn't know how the cinema worked he wasn't sure what the next step would be. At that point, Arcade's attention was grabbed by a familiar voice. Well, it was familiar except for the volume.
He glanced over at the doors and saw Sans and Caro, along with some kid he didn't know. He was slightly concerned by Caro's sudden energy; the only thing that he could think of that would cause that kind of reaction was... Not fit for children. He glanced down at Eve before approaching Sans and Caro.
Since one of the fanboys explained the situation, Arcade was able to ask, "are you... Feeling alright?" He couldn't just accuse her of taking turbo, but he was concerned nonetheless.
I say that aloud too sometimes, just: "man, no life."So apparently they managed to find Silanea but she was knocked out after having a freakout in the hospital. Weird that Curly didn't mention any of that stuff earlier, but she did seem to be busy with other stuff so maybe he just left before she could say much.
"... well, any idea of when she's waking up?" He asked, trying not to make a big deal out of it.
Then Arcade showed up with another girl and asked if Caro was doing all right, to which Sans let out a chuckle.
"hey arcade, i was wondering what happened with you since we split up." He greeted the scientist with a wave of his hand. "as for caro, i gave her a bit of an energy drink, don't worry, she's just having a bit of a sugar rush. it's pretty funny to watch."

"Pale and freaky?" Cole asked, rather genuinely confused. "Nothing is able to hurt us today...but, if you would rather ask here then I...suppose I understand..."
He drew himself up a little, offering a hesitant bit of a smile. "I could keep you safe from anything 'pale and freaky'."
That seemed to make him think, however, and he paused, glancing at the nearest Tairee, before looking back to Ben. "Um...though...we get messages home today, yes? ...and Miss Tairee said anyone back in our worlds? ...one of my friends...disappeared, after...well, he disappeared...I'm wondering...if there would be a way for me to find him with this...if...if that would be all right..."
He glanced down at himself, looking a little bewildered. "Though...maybe not quite like this..."

Kamina ate his food with speed and by large amounts. He liked his meat. Simon ate his steak in a more slow pace, cutting in up to smaller bites compared to Kamina's chucks. Simon was pleased that Shinji joined them to eat but the problems that he was having using the spoon and fork was not lost on Simon. Well, the young driller was sure that some underground villages didn't have utensils to eat with and so it wasn't hard to think that Shinji never used them before. He stopped eating and looked at Shinji, asking him, "Y-you don't use those a lot? It's ok if you don't..."
Kamina in the other hand, finished his latest hunk of meat and told Digger, "Some bastard took everyone here for some reason. Me and Simon haven't been here long and we are still looking to figure out all of this crap. Who's the kidnapping bastards name, why the hell we are here, and how we can find him so we can kick his ass!"

Crash-Universal Buffet
Crash followed the group and, sitting down next to Digger, began contentedly munching down on Wumpa Fruit, at a pace comparable to Kamina's.
Listening to Kamina, Crash quirked his head. So, it was an Emperor Velo situation. Someone had kidnapped everyone for their own amusement. Still, the place they had kidnapped them to was awesome, so they couldn't be too bad.
Ciri - Library
"I think these will do quite nicely," Ciri said to Tairee, a grin appearing on her face as more and more items were created. She momentarily placed her hand on the helmet to feel its weight, then picked up the sword. She held it out, getting a sense for the weight with a few test swings. "Nicely indeed.""When you've finished with your letters, let's get you changed and properly equipped," she added to Yoshika. "At least a dozen days left in this city, and I wouldn't wager that once you've found a new mother Seiga will simply give up, so you'll need to learn to defend yourself even after becoming human oncemore."

Digger - Universe Buffet
So I wasn't the only one, then. They had been taken, too, and the same probably applied to Shinji and Crash too. "Let me guess," I said. "It was some kind of god, right?" Kamina's enthusiasm was admirable, but if that was the case, it'd be hard to even get to him. Her. Whatever.
I pushed my plate aside and put my chin on my hands. "Gods are tricky," I continued, "and it's frustrating enough dealing with them back in the warren. Now we've got one kidnapping people...when we're done, we'll have to look for a temple or something. Assuming there's a place like that in a city like this."
(holds pool noodle threateningly) Do you want to know what we do to artists?"Right!" Ara nodded when she heard her name being called, and momentarily stopped paying attention to her phone to head out with Rex and the others. "Jack, come on! We're leaving!"
In the meantime, the girls in the mirror were less than impressed with Jack's argument, to the point where even Elesis was staring at the guardian as if he were suddenly going to pull a knife and demand money from them. Rena, on the other hand, started smiling again out of nowhere... but it was not an ordinary smile. It was a wide grin that seemed awfully out of place among the various frowns in everyone else's faces.
"Girls, you should go get ready to escort Ignia to the entrance of the temple," Rena stated, turning briefly towards the other three women in the room. "I'll keep talking with him in the meantime."
Eve was the only one who understood what Rena meant straight away, so she quickly stood up and motioned for her drones to follow her outside. Elesis seemed to be about to ask Rena something, but a quick look at her face was all it took her to safely decide that it was in everyone's best interests to pick up anything they'd need (which in Elesis' case was a sword that seemed to be almost as large and as wide as the knight herself) and leave Rena alone for the time being. Lu, however, was not quick enough to realize what was going on.
"No need to, I already have everything I need, and Ciel has the rest, so-"
"Leave."
Whether it was something in Rena's voice, the disturbing smile on her face as she uttered the command, or perhaps the enormous vein on her forehead that looked like it was about to burst, something made Lu seriously reconsider her decision to stay, and she immediately vacated the room as well, leaving Rena alone with the mirror.
"Now, I believe we should start being a bit more honest with each other, don't you agree?" the green-haired elf asked, focusing all her attention exclusively on Jack. "Now, let's start over, shall we? My name is Rena, I am an elf, and I would really like to know why you refuse to tell Ara the truth. Surely there must be a reason to lie to her and betray her trust like that..."
Shinji Ikari | At a Buffet, Unknown City | You are (not) talkative
As he ate, he was starting to get a little used to holding a spoon and fork but it was clearly awkward, and he was actually holding it the wrong way, not that he realized that. Thankfully, it seemed only Simon noticed that, but Shinji felt embarrassed nonetheless.
"Eh, uh, no... No, I don't," he said. "I used chopsticks. Um, they're uh...well, two sticks I hold like..." As he paused, he made his hand so that it would hold non-existant chopsticks, which almost looked like he was holding a pencil. "...this. And-and...I use it to...pick up stuff like this." At that, his hand looked as if he was copying scissors and he clipped at the air.
The others talked around him, Crash mentioning aliens and Digger mentioning gods. That made him briefly think of the Angels and the EVAs. Either way, he didn't say much for that conversation. He didn't have anything to add to it anyway. ...well, now that he remembered Bergree's words, maybe except...
"We met a...spider...man, and he told us a bit about this place. But if...we wanted to know more, we should head for a building in the...center of the city."
"You said you had a dream... That dream... Make it come true! ... If anyone can, it's you!" - N (shortened) Oh, and I'm a girl.

She extended a hand nonetheless, and said "Seiga Kaku, at your service..."
Oh, wait, there was one more thing she noticed with this whole scene. He hadn't made a point to object, or really notice what they were talking about at all, so surely Rick would be open to getting on on this.
Looking over at the mozza-munching man, she said "How about you? Do you have anything to add to our child-killing plans?"
