Ben took some of the amulets that Miss Tairee put out. "Thanks," he replied, then put one around his neck and gave some others to Rex and Eve. "I kinda told him about what you told me. About your nanomachines. He tried to help but your nanomachines didn't really like them or something..." he admitted. "Rex has nanomachines in his body too." He sighed and sat down on one of the chairs.
"So, we gotta think of a way to deal with Old Feather Beak. Anyone have any ideas?" he asked with another sigh.
In the meantime, Lune was quietly listening to the others talk and heal while sitting in the library. Ben seemed stumped on what to do next. Fortunately, Lune had an idea that had been brewing for quite some time.
"Well, we could start up a dojo and teach others how to fight back."
Jack stuck his hands in his pocket, his expression fairly serious for the spirit. "Well, I mean, if you start focusing on only the bad things, then it might start seeming that way, yeah."
He frowned slightly at woman when she spoke about not being sure if she even wanted to get better, but there wasn't anything he could say to that.
"Hey, wait!" He called as Kelsey started to leave, quickly flying after her. He didn't block her way, but he made sure he could see her face. He still had to tell her about the demon, now that he was fairly certain she wasn't back under its control. "Ok look, I can't say I know exactly what you're going through, or how to help you. But I do know that running from your fears and problems never works, and all this isn't really something you can do on your own. If you keep doing this, you're never going to go anywhere. You'll just be stuck wondering what's the point for the rest of your life. And that's not the point of life."
Plague Knight's pub
"Um, well..." Calvin muttered, glancing from X to Lothric and then at Melanie, realizing that if he told them he'd be selling her out too.
"What are you looking at me for?" Melanie asked him with a half shrug.
Calvin sighed and turned back around. "Alright look, I'll just explain the simple version. If you want the whole story, you'll want to talk to the librarian about it. But basically, everything we think is just a fictional story, is actually a real universe out there somewhere. And since this place pulls in people from different universes..." Calvin trailed off, perhaps thinking that the rest would be obvious.
Silvester however picked up where Calvin left off. "In the universes we come from, you're a video game character. He's played the one with you in it- or well, one of the ones with some version of you in it. There's a bunch of them, with different continuities" Silvester explained, then looked at Lothric and added with a motion at Melanie, "and she's played one with you two in it."
"Yup. You're one of the boss fights in it" Melanie added, rather nonchalant given the subject matter.
"It'll be over in a minute, just relax. I'm trying to take care of your problems here" Miss Tairee said, still typing away on her holographic screen as she idly swung the door of the stall closed with her free hand. It would be a rather curious experience, being in a sonic shower; there was a droning buzzing sound, and Cole's whole body would seem to vibrate lightly as all the dried blood and other grime on his body and clothes seemed to just evaporate. Within just a minute, it was like having taken a very cleansing bath and then completely drying off, without any water involved in the first half. "There, all better" the librarian noted, as the stall door swung back open. She held out one hand with her open palm up, and there was a blur in the air above it. Cole's hat and a new, folded shirt appeared with a blur and landed on her hand, which she kept held out to offer them to the spirit. The hat was his, teleported from the shuttle it had been left in; the shirt however was new, the same color as his old shirt, but made of a seemingly much more comfortable and high quality material.
Meanwhile, lieutenant Wells, who had been staying on the sidelines and tending to the civilian woman since entering, looked over and raised an eyebrow at Lune's suggestion. "A dojo? You intend to teach people hand to hand fighting against a demon known for his sorcery and mind tricks?" Wells asked incredulously, and shook his head. "I can appreciate the sentiment young miss, but the best defense for the civilian population here is going to be outright avoiding the demon and his followers. Not engaging in personal combat with them" the lieutenant told her.
Thomas, after hearing the talk about nanomachines with a confused expression, had been flipping through his book about muggles and muttering to himself, but looked up when he heard Wells talking. "Could we warn everyone? Maybe with those muggle talking devices?" Thomas suggested.
"You could contact the news broadcasters on channel 93" Miss Tairee suggested.
As that was going on, a bit across the room Kelsey stopped her march, and looked at Jack with an angry expression. "I'm not running away from my problems; I'm charging towards them! I already know what the point of my life is now; apparently my antics are just perfect for some godly, fanfic writing fuckhead! If he wants a berserker of Khorne, I can at least aim in the right direction!" Kelsey yelled angrily, seemingly enraged by the entire situation as a whole. She then cast her gaze over the collection of various furniture to where the others were. "HEY FOUR EYES! GIVE ME THOSE WEAPONS AND ARMOR OF KHORNE YOU OFFERED!" she screamed out at the librarian.
"Come now, really? What are we, back in middle school?" Miss Tairee asked, raising an eyebrow as she glanced over at Kelsey and Jack. Nevertheless, she started to type on the holographic screen with her free hand once more.
X took it surprisingly well, "Oh god..." he said quietly his eyes widening in complete shock.
It took him a few moments to adapt, but ultimately with the different universes and the Pamphlet mentioning "inspiration" it made sense.
"So you know about the wars I have fought, and the many robot masters my predecessor Rock has faced."
Everybody seemed fine and discussing what to do now. Tairee seemed particularly busy with people requesting a ton of stuff but Sans saw her making another box of amulets so he went ahead and got one for himself. Tairee also mentioned a news channel, which made Sans wonder since when there was one of those, probably a recent addition judging from the radio on her desk that wasn't there before.
After putting his amulet on, Sans wandered over to the group of people discussing what to do. "the ruckus was and likely still is small, the demon has to do a lot of work to go back to get his cult back in shape, but now everybody knows they're a threat and the ones who don't are gonna be told by the news station." He then focused his gaze on Wells. "i'd recommend sending some of your men to take care of the people running the news station, i'm sure that overgrown chicken will want it out of the way, they're probably gonna be one of the ruckus' main targets."
Thinking more about who could be a target of the Ruckus, Sans figured anyone who could potentially beat the demon in a fight and make it explode again would be a top priority, taking all of that in consideration, he couldn't help but wince a little a bit at the thought of what could end up happening.
"another person i'm sure is gonna end up becoming a target of the ruckus..." he then looked at Caro, clearly worried, "is you, sis."
The Pub with Lobros
The notion that someone out there knew of the plight but was unable to stop it - if only because it never existed there in ways other than fiction - was a distressing one.
Nevertheless, it was a thought to consider; perhaps the demon and its cultists were also fiction somewhere and thus ways could be found to deal with them. "It is as the woman says, more or less." It wasn't quite exactly what happened, but there was no point in making the situation overly complex. For now there were more pressing matters to attend to.
"If we all plan to head to this library, it is probably best that we head there now. Odds are we can acquire food there as well." He spoke, climbing back up on Lorian's back. "After all, the demon should not be left to its own devices if we can help it."
Assuredly, after a nondescript period of time, they'd find a ship which they would immediately board. There doesn't seem to be anything out of place with that statement.
It was hard not to have a kneejerk reaction to the door of the box abruptly being closed, especially when inside started to buzz and Cole felt as though something were agitating across and through him somehow. It wouldn't be hard to hear a sharp gasp, a thud and a softly muttered "ow" from outside the box, as Cole hit a wall that was in fact not the door in an immediate attempt at escape. When nothing further happened, and instead he realized in a few seconds that he actually felt...somewhat better afterwards...things settled until the door swung back open. Even though, however, Cole was quick to bolt out as soon as the exit revealed itself.
Any lingering questions or complaints about what exactly that had been all about vanished as soon as Miss Tairee offered him a new shirt and his hat. Cole looked somewhat surprised for a moment before a smile broke on his face, and he grabbed his hat back quickly, putting it back on his head, practically beaming. "My hat! Thank you, Miss Tairee!" he said, seeming to take a second to remember she also had a shirt for him, which he then took as well, looking confused for a second that the fabric was somewhat softer and less scratchy than the burlap shirt he normally wore. "Oh...this feels so nice...soft and gentle and..."
He looked to her, a faint look of apprehension on his face for a moment, before it faded, and he offered her a shy bit of a smile, lowering his gaze to the ground. "Th-thank you. You...you didn't have to, b-but...thank you for...being so nice."
That said, he looked towards the others again, before trying to pull his shirt back on, forgetting that perhaps he ought to take his beloved hat off first, which meant that instead he would be halfway hung in the top for a bit, having gotten his arms into the sleeves but now struggling a little with getting the neck hole pulled down into place.
The Library — I thought you hated defenseless sheep
Eve obviously didn't get what Rex meant by him saying that they were alike but luckily Ben chimed in, explaining that he had nanites in his body too.
"Yeah and you can also build gear out of your body. I had never seen someone else that could do that before"
Meanwhile, Ben tried to think of a way to deal with and gave both Eve and Rex an amulet. Lune proposed her idea of building a dojo to train the population but the lieutenant didn't think it was a good one.
"Power to the people, Wells. I thought you would be all over that"
While Rex was going to help with that and there was a discussion about protecting a news station, he still felt the need to point out that certain someone could be of help.
"Why don't we ask her?" he pointed at Tairee "She already helped once. Looks she can interfere if she wants to"

"I can probably find some fruit or chips in the kitchen," Plague Knight said to Sylvester. "But we shall be traveling light. The librarian will provide food and we must get there in haste." Thus Plague Knight navigated to the kitchen again, taking the time to take stock of any other experiments the Ruckus may have run off with and missed the conversation about people being fictional in other dimensions.
The alchemist can back with two small apples and a large bag of very generic looking store brand corn chips. "Hope these will suffice," he said while handing the fanboys the food.
Eve|Library| Oh yay
Eve's reaction was probably not what Ben and Rex had been expecting. Instead of smiling or being happy that someone like her was in the City, she stood straight up, moving into a combat ready postion. Nano machines in her world where not a good thing. Really not a good thing.
In the back of her mind, the part that wasn't panicking as much, she worried about how much Ben had told Rex, but considering Rex's reaction, it was probably just about the nanites. So that was good. A slightly different part noted that her dress was ruined, her torso was showing and that she had needed to change clothes anyway, so that was slightly serendipitous. Another part took the amulet Ben gave with a small "thanks".
Ara Haan (Library) - Ignorance is Bliss
"Glad to help. My name is Ara."
Caro did not seem to know exactly what had happened there, because the moment Ara mentioned she had seen them there, she almost immediately asked her if she had also seen exactly what had defeated the demon. Naturally, Ara would be glad to provide some insight on the events of that night; however, there was a slight problem...
"Ah... well, I actually don't really know what happened either," she explained. "See, I saw you from the top floor of the library, but... uhhh... how do I put this... my spirit guide asked me to let her take care of it, so I let her. When I came back to my senses I was standing in the rooftop, and there was a cloud of mist and a book. You two were there as well, but I didn't want to interrupt your conversation back then."
The collection of vehicles drifting around the grocery store were a veritable who's-who of shipbuilders from across the multiverse, a great collection of a hundred design philosophies and varyingly loose grasps of the realities of space travel. There were great hulking rustbuckets jostling up against sleek little planethoppers, sinister alien ships bumping up against rounded, retro-futuristic rockets, and even what looked like some kind of bizarre organism adapted for life in freefall.
Rick drifted from ship to ship with the eye of a seasoned professional, eying each prospective pick in the same way that a particularly canny carjacker might size up a list of potential prizes. Finally, he settled on a nearby vessel - a medium-sized vessel that looked like two silver pie plates stacked on top of one another and festooned with blinking Christmas lights.
As he motioned for the girls to follow him - and took Morty by the arm - Rick tapped on the side of the vessel, revealing a small outer control panel. Then, producing a screwdriver from the folds of his spaceship, he set about tapping a screw here, rewiring a bit of console there... like a dream, a nearby hatch opened and telescoped outwards, revealing a long silver gangplank protected by a shimmering force field.
"Geez... w-what kinda ship is this, huh?"
Morty unscrewed his helmet and looked around at the confines of the ship, which were what you could charitably call "ominous" and less-charitably call "scary as hell". Whoever had built the ship hadn't gone in for interior lighting outside of a faint green luminescence that didn't seem to emanate from any visible source of illumination. A massive, frost-encrusted cylinder on the opposite end of... the receiving bay, perhaps? note Morty didn't keep up with galactic terminology cast a strange silhouette, its occupant too blurred by frost to make out.
Rick unscrewed his own helmet and let out a window-rattling belch as he surveyed the scene. "Probulons, Morty."
"Pr... what?" Morty bit his lip and looked around at the not-confidence inspiring scene in front of them. Odd, unidentifiable things lurked horribly in the green-lit shadows. Most horrible of them all was the 1957 Ford F-1000 pickup truck, a garish nightmare of aquamarine-on-chrome, sure to lollop through the nightmares of even the most fearless automotive engineers. Somehow, it had managed to overcome the barriers normally imposed on inanimate objects and picked up an air of malice all its own from its sheer incongruence. One could even say that it was managing to lurk in the shadows. The dead deer strapped to its hood wasn't helping matters at all.
"Probulons. Y-you know, t-the ones who -" Rick sighed and grabbed his gun from his spacesuit, twirling it in his finger like an Old West gunslinger. "Look, just *urp* just stick with me and - and -" Rick picked up an alien gadget off the floor and looked at it in obvious disgust. "Alright, *urp* we got- this is a scout ship, t-the bridge should only be one deck up from here."
Morty looked from Rick to Yoshika, then to Seiga, and then back to his grandfather, who leaned back against the pickup truck and took a shot. "Y-yeah, but, uh-"
"L-look, ladies, girls, whatever you are, j-just - we're gonna get through this okay. If we just - if we just get one another's backs we'll be outta here in a jiff. Morty, y-you cover my butt, I'll cover yours."

So apparently Ara only had witnessed the end result of what had happened. She had a rather good guess of the mist was. And this about a book ... Given that what she seen something coming from the library, she was starting to get an idea of what may have happened ...
Then there was the fact that Ara had mentioned something about her spirit guide taking over to take of the fight. So from what gathered, this was apparently some other side of hers. After seen things like when Cole's spirit power took over, possessions and all, things like that no longer surprised her all that. And then there was something ...
"Oh, I see ... That does help a bit though ... Still, that light I saw ... Could that have been from this spirit of yours? And well ... Is there any way she call through you or to talk to her directly or ... However it works? Understandinh what went down there is rather important now, with that thing back ... And if she is able to harm the Lord of Change, then you guys could be valuable allies against it ... "
She then said.
She watched with a smile as Miss Tairee easily solved Cole's problems, first by summoning some sort of cabin, which apparently had done something to clean the spirit really quickly and then she gave him both his hat and a new shirt. However a problem presented itself when he tried to pull the later on while wearing the former, inevitably getting stuck. That was so like him. She had better do something about that ...
She quickly said to Ara, "Excuse me for a moment. I should be right back soon,"
before walking over to where Cole and Miss Tairee where.
"Here, Cole, let me help you ... " She said as she went about trying to get the shirt properly in place. He was much taller than her, so all she could do was try to pull it down at the bottom. While she was at it, she couldn't help noticing that the shirt felt remarkably different from his previous one. She remembered that one being rather rough from when they had hugged. She couldn't help giving Miss Tairee a rather appreciative look for it.
Once that was taken care, she would step back, getting closer to where Ara was, allowing them to continue their discussion. Meanwhile, Sans approached and started to talk to everyone about the way to handle Ruckus and who their targets would be. It made a lot of sense, including, unfortunately, the bit he worriedly said to her about herself being a major target because of their fight with the Lord of Change itself.
"Yeah, I guess you would be right about that , unfortunately" She spoke, clear concern evident on her expression as she realized the other implication of that, which prompted her to add, "But that means you would be a bigger target. I may have been there and aided you, you were the one who actually hit and hurt it. And that thing and its ilk sure know it ... "
Just then, Rex accusingly said something about Miss Tairee having intefered before. She had seen him arrive with Sans, so maybe ... It didn't seem like much, but combined with what Ara had said about a book and given the whole context of the talk, it was enough to make the final piece of the puzzle to fall in place.
With that in mind, she then said, "That may have been, Rex, but it was certainly at a great risk! If she was implicitily forbidden from doing it before, then surely she is expressely prevented from doing it again now. We can't ask that much of her. Besides, if you even know about that, then Sans must have told you. Then you have to realize why she had to do it ... " She looked around, at everyone present. She couldn't have any qualms about telling about what had happened back then. There was too much at stake. With the Lord of Change back, everyone deserved to know about that event. With that in mind, she continued, purposely speaking so everyone could hear her, "Sans and I fought the Lord of Change, we managed to hit it and hurt it, but it still got the upper hand. We were at great danger, everything was hopeless ... That must have been why she did it, even though she wasn't supposed to, because otherwise ... "
She then turned to Miss Tairee, an appreciative look once again presenting itself, as she spoke, "So thank you, Miss Tairee. If you hadn't done what you did, Sans would have faced a horrible demise and I likely would have at the mercy of that thing and its llk. So thank you. Now, I know you can't aid us directly like that again, but ... Could you maybe make us something to at least give us a fighting chance? Something that thing would at least weak to you? That alone would be a great help."
"Wars and robot masters, yeah" Calvin said, grinning as he put it together from what X said. "That must make you Mega Man X then" he guessed.
"Getting food at a library is not what I'd typically expect, but I guess this isn't a typical library" Silvester responded to Lothric, then glanced over when Plague Knight arrived with the corn chips and apples. "Yeah I think this could tide us over until we get somewhere else with food. Either of you want an apple?" he asked the other two Fanboys, holding the apples up.
"I'll take one" Melanie responded.
"You can have the other" Calvin told Silvester, taking the bag of corn chips. "Alright then, I guess we should go" he thought out loud.
"Yeah come on, let's get a move on!" Melanie said enthusiastically, and the three of them moved back into the airlock to get new OSFA suits on. They waited for whoever else was going to take that way to get in and do likewise before cycling the airlock, then made their way back over to their cargo ship to get on board.
"The news station? Hm, perhaps. I certainly don't want them to be stopped from transmitting, though I wouldn't want people to think we're trying to control the news" Wells admitted to Sans, then looked at Rex and folded his arms with a judging look. "Of course I'm in favor of power to the people, but only in a practical manner. You should know as well as I that any average person up against that demon with only their fists is not going to stand a chance; even if they get what, a day's training at this hypothetical dojo? Most people can't become fighting masters in the short time frame we have. And really, the same goes for any of the demon's followers armed with a gun" he argued to Rex, shaking his head, "the only thing this dojo would help them with is maybe an average mugger. Other than that it could only give them a false confidence and maybe make them try something very stupid."
As Cole was struggling with his shirt over his hat, Miss Tairee sighed and hit a couple buttons on her holographic screen; with a quick blur the hat went from on Cole's head to just above Miss Tairee's outstretched hand, exactly like before, which allowed Cole's shirt to slip down right into position, rather abruptly. Then Miss Tairee simply dropped the hat back onto Cole's head, and everything was as it should be there.
But then the people around her were starting to talk about her helping against the daemon on the ninth day, which got a raised eyebrow from Miss Tairee. "Don't be ridiculous, of course I didn't interfere with that fight; it was outside the library" Miss Tairee said, nothing at all about her tone or body language even hinting that that was a lie. "All I did on that day was provide a few weapons, lots of ammo, and delivered a book. Surely you must have mistaken something else and thought it was my involvement" she told them, getting back to typing on her holographic screen.
"As for your request, I've already made plenty of those amulets. I can always provide weapons and armor of course; and on today in particular I can provide modest vessels for travel. I can't simply create something specifically tailored to kill a Lord of Change though, so you'll have to be more specific in your requests" Miss Tairee answered Caro's last question.

The militia boss had a valid reasoning, there wasn't really much for to reply to on that topic. The suggestion was made, so it would be up to him to decide if he's gonna act on it or not.
Meanwhile, Caro didn't quite get what he was talking about, but she seemed to have figured out the involvement of the librarian in saving them in Day 9. Well, that saved him from being the one who had to talk about it.
"sis, you didn't get it," he said, shaking his head a little, "y'see, i'm guessing that since soul sacrifices are needed to make that thing come back like that, i think his body is all soul because i noticed something off when i blew his arm off. that means my magic is a lot stronger against him than it would be against most people and since they know i was the one who came up with the plan at the store, they probably consider me a big threat." He paused. "killing people is pointless, so they can't just off me and be done with it and since i can teleport, they wouldn't be able to capture me for too long... so the best way to get me out of the picture would be to force me to not act, that's where you come in," he further explained, not looking all that comfortable thinking about the possibilities, "we already know they're all too willing to kidnap people after all."
Since Caro was already gonna get Tairee's attention, Sans thought of chiming in for a bit as well to get what he needed from her. Amusingly she was denying to have interfered in what happened at all.
"playing dumb, huh? that's fine. thanks for saving caro anyways." He shrugged, his tone of voice being sincere, "to specify a little more on what caro's asking, could you make something for us that allows us to see something that's invisible like, i dunno, special goggles? another container for when we blow the demon up again would be nice too."

Ben frowned as Eve, far from looking happy to see someone like her, got into a really defensive stance towards Rex and looked uneasy with him. "Whoa, hold on, it's fine, he's a friend," he tried to insist. At that moment, people tried to suggest ways to fight Old Feather Beak. Sans brought up that he had fought Old Feather Beak and did significant damage to him. He also mentioned that Caro was being targeted by the demon. He frowned, furrowing his brow. "Well we're not gonna let him get her. I won't let that happen, you won't let that happen."
This gave Ben a thought, and he furrowed his brow further, smirking a bit. He looked at Sans, then at his watch. He looked back up at the skeleton. "Hey Sans. If one of you can do that much against Old Feather Beak... what would two of you do? If I got a form of you in the watch...?"

Lucas might have commented on the fact that his world had a cycle of rebirth of sorts but the fact about him being fictional was a "small" distraction. He had always felt the pull and guidance of... someone during his adventure, though that guiding force was now gone. It could very well have been someone observing his world from the outside as a work of fiction. Lucas mulled over the existential question as he went with the fanboys to their vehicle.
Cole made some tiny distressed noise when he got hung in his shirt, but Caro came over to him, helping with it. "Thank you," he murmured from inside the shirt-which abruptly got pulled into place as Miss Tairee took his hat long enough for it to happen, then put it back onto his head, leaving the spirit looking a little sheepish, but also reaching up with one hand to grip at the brim of his hat, smiling a little more at having it back in place.
All of this having been said and done, Cole tuned back in on what the discussion around him was about, thinking things over for a moment before biting his lip. He looked rather lost for a moment, glancing over to Lieutenant Wells, then back to Sans and Ben as they spoke. He looked down at the amulet Fastanook had given him, reaching down to touch at it slightly, rubbing at the surface between his fingers.
"...I'm...I'm going to have to keep this on, aren't I?" he said softly, not to anyone in particular, just looking rather let down. "So he can't change me into a monster. Anything I can see of him...he can see of me..."
The Judge - PK's Lab - In Space, No One Can Hear You Giving a Shit
The Judge didn't pay much attention to the new arrivals, only making sure they weren't violent before returning to his ball of yarn. He missed the conversation of every universe being a work of fiction in a different universe, too. It was only until everybody began to leave that he finally welcomed reality and abandoned his yarn, giving it a sorrowful goodbye as he stepped into the airlock, and then the ship with the rest of the gang. He eyed the man in dark armor carefully, observing how he carried the other man around on his back, but otherwise gave him no thought. As long as they didn't mess with him, he wouldn't mess with them.
The Library — Demon Hunting Party 3.0
Eve immediately stood up and seemed ready to fight. Maybe she was weirded out by the revelation. She needed to calm down anyway
"Take it easy, Eve. You were out for a while"
Lieutenant Wells laid down all the problems with the dojo idea, at least when it came to it being a solution to the Ruckus. While Rex agreed on some points, he just couldn't get over Wells' reaction. Touchy much? Maybe Rex had struck a nerve with the comment.
"Jeez, man. I'm just trying to make a joke here. Remember, you have a guy that actually can punch demons on your side" he said, adjusting his gloves
Caro answered to Rex's accusation of Tairee having helped defeat the demon by declaring that the situation was dire and that that was probably the only reason she could interfere. The pink-haired girl started explaining what had happened three days ago but she couldn't even finish. Evidently, it got to her. So much so, that she thanked Tairee for saving Sans. Rex started thinking about it. If death wasn't permanent in the city, why would the librarian be allowed to help in this particular scenario? The teen couldn't complete the puzzle but what they had was enough for a—half-assed—plan.
"Ok, that's pretty bad but it means that she can help us if someone is in that situation again. We just need a bait and the demon will go back to living in an ashtray"
Speaking of weapons and supplies, Rex had an idea. Only Sans had his kind of magic powers and he certainly wasn't the best fighter by a longshot. If they were going to make this work, they needed a special weapon. A weapon that could pierce the demon's shield.
"Here's a request for you. I want Legion's gun. More than that, I want an enchanted version that can harm the demon" he paused, feeling like he had forgotten something "Oh, and not having bullet wounds in my back would be nice, too"
edited 12th Nov '16 10:44:40 PM by DeisTheAlcano
Eve relaxed. Ish. It would still be clear to anyone with training that she would be able to punch easily, but it was somewhat less obvious. So Rex was a friend. Clearly nanites were different across worlds.
As the blind panic passed, she began to listen to what was going on around her. They were discussing the demon, and what to do about him. When she noticed the librarian, it reminded her of an ever present problem. Her dress. It was a mess.
Walking up to the Desk, she addressed Miss Tairee.
"Excuse me miss librarian, but would you mind summoning me a new dress?"
It seemed General Wells had a few concerns with Lune's idea. The guy honestly means well for the entire city and wants it to be safe. Although Rex joked around, Wells took him a bit too seriously.
Lune simply nodded and replied, “You have many good points. Engaging against the demon and its followers seems like suicide. I think I might need to go back to the drawing board and work on my idea some more.”
Caro told a story about the Demon's first defeat and thanked Ms. Tairee for supposedly helping them out. However, Ms. Tairee denied Caro and told her that she only provided supplies and weaponry to anyone who needed it. She is neutral in these situations, right?
And then Ben realized that Sans fought the Demon pretty effectively the first time and wisely asked him to get a sample of his DNA. If one Sans was tough, how about another one?
“Oh... What are you going to call that new form?”
Rex also asked if he could get a nice gun and asked if he could heal his back. “Speaking of weapons, do you mind if you made me a Zankantou? The Dygenguar wielded one in my home world, I think. Also, could you heal me?”
It seemed it was the time to go.
Lothric shuffled his gaze upon the peculiar-looking cat that was in the pub, only recently becoming aware of it. There certainly was something strange about it...
Ah, perhaps he was looking too much into it. Shaking his head and giving Lorian a gentle nudge the two shuffled back on the ship, no teleportation this time. The giant knight moved on his knees, ponderously but without pause.
