Grimlock; Omnimon Zwart form
Battle with Day 8's Champion; I believe I can fly!
His aim was true but someone else was also on the spot, in the form of a lightning bolt that hit the man and, by extension, him. Grimlock stood there, dazed by the electricity that numbed his arm. As such, he couldn't do anything as he got slammed into by the man. He flew for a while before crashing into a nearby building. He groaned. He really hoped that nobody was in there. He tried to stand up, but flinched and laid back against the building. He looked at his left leg and found a really nasty mark on it.
Great.
Deciding to take this moment for a brief rest, he scanned the area to see if he recognized anyone. There was Caro, there was Negi...then he saw Zelda—floating in the air, with a blue crow thing beside them in the air...and it threw Mary towards the fight. If he still had his mouth, he would be snarling right now. Thankfully, someone was trying to catch her and that calmed him down a bit. But not calm enough to not want to beat the scrap out of the bird.
Ignoring the pain in his leg, he stood and took proper aim with his gun again and fired two shots at the crow.
"You said you had a dream... That dream... Make it come true! ... If anyone can, it's you!" - N (shortened) Oh, and I'm a girl.As the man Sans had flung began making another blizzard in response to his current situation, Sans' only reaction was to begin summoning four medium sized drones, however they were different now. Instead of the usual creepy appearance they had they instead were... cute-ish cat heads.
"really now," thought Sans, narrowing his eyes as he looked at their new appearance
Immediatelly afterwards the four drones fired four large white beams at the tangled man while he was busy with his little blizzard that had no effect on the skeleton due to him not being affected by the cold. With that done, regardless of whether it was enough to finish off the man or not, Sans began moving towards the scene with OFB, or rather, teleporting to a building closer to the scene, but still not too close so as to still keep himself keep himself out of immediate sight.

Juri, Like a Spider to a Fly
Juri winced as she felt the sheer cold of the priestly man's Blizzard. While it hurt her as bad as a Blizzard, she could still take a few hits from it and she was not frozen by the attack while the priestly man was now caught in her web. Needless to say, she aimed four of her eight legs directly at the head of the priestly man, trying to knock him into unconsciousness though not caring if he died from her attack. Juri detested using such a cheap tactic, but she also thought the Blizzard that the priestly man was blasting was a cheap move so it was only fair.
Wizard Needs Food BadlyViola/Library
"I'll go and see how they are doing. If they're still struggling, I know what to say. If not, that will be a relief." Excusing myself by nodding my head to the librarian, I started heading out towards the blizzard, keeping an eye for anything that could pose a danger to me. Needless to say, I'll do my best to not get caught in the fighting itself. Just reaching out to one of the people I knew there and relaying what Miss Tairee had in mind was enough.
All in all, this had better be worth the effort.
Now that he was no longer being crushed, Jack breathed in deeply; His nose full of the scent of burning hair, or fur in this case. He hadn't managed to get away completely unsinged, it seemed. He wondered what he was even doing. He had no clue where he was, what was going on, what side people were on, or even what sides there were!
Rolling up onto all fours, Jack shook his head to clear the last bits of blur from the tackle. Sighing, he grabbed Twinetender in his mouth and shot up into the air above the battlefield, looking around for anything that stood out. He spotted the weirdo who lit himself on fire helping his buddy in green attack a... giant armadillo? Ok, then. Whatever. Either way those two needed a lesson, and he needed some stress relief.
Jack zipped over to them on the wind, twisting and turning on the wind and keeping mobile to avoid any attacks as he started raining constant bolts of ice magic down on the two.
Boss Battle-One Down, Six To Go
The attack successfully took down the scuba gear guy. Twilight shivered for a moment at thought of having killed someone.
There was no time to think about it, though. The flame armored guy charged, and the guy in the priestly robe created another blizzard.
Maybe there was a way to take out two birds with one stone.
Trying to ignore the chill from the blizzard, Twilight attempted to use her telekinesis on the flame guy, and send him flying towards the priestly guy. Her goal being to use the flame guy's own charge against him.
What is this "signature" of which people speak? It was chaos. Desperately, Sadness made a last-ditch effort to reach the control panel. Anything would help—scaring off the bird with a blast from the cannon, running over someone's foot with the treads. She didn't have a weaponized tank for nothing. It was time she fought back for once, with something more useful than flashy blue light.
The "other mode" button! That was it! She darted through the water, which sloshed as the bird somehow lifted her entire tank into the air, and braced herself to shove her whole body into the button—
Zelda bit down on her just as the tank fell away, leaving Sadness unable to breathe. She made an angry glub of frustration and flailed as hard as she could, losing her glasses in the process. And then, suddenly. Darkness.
She reappeared in a place she didn't recognize, not that she could see very far with her poor fish vision. Her glasses were back on her face. A dull crescent of phantom pain burned on her side, especially her spine.
Also, she couldn't breathe.
Her body slowly deflated in the middle of the street, leaving a pathetic, dried-out blue blob.

Fuck, he missed. Karkat landed roughly on the ground, preparing another swing of his claw...before he felt a wave of electricity and pain wash over him. The shock sent him backwards, and while he couldn't really see what was going on now, he knew exactly what happened. The stupid rat fucking electrocuted him! What the hell?! He felt the life quickly run out of him. Oh God, was he dying? Oh shit...why now, of all times? He couldn't even die in front of his own goddamn friends...oh god oh god oh god oh god
Karkat - Streets
oh god oh god...wait. What. What the fuck. Karkat moved his claw around. He was just fine. What the hell? He struggled to get upright, but he didn't feel particularly bad. He felt normal. Was he in a dream bubble? Yeah, that's it. He died and he's in a dream bubble. If he starts walking, the city will turn into his hive or something and a dead Nepeta will be there to pounce on him. For some strange and inexplicable reason, he found this thought comforting.

(holds pool noodle threateningly) Do you want to know what we do to artists?Without water to see or breathe through as her body was intended, everything was kind of a blur around Sadness. Even the sounds seemed muted and distant; somebody was yelling something, but she couldn't make out the words. Something picked her up. Not another mouth, or hands, but instead... Pages? She was gently pressed between two sides of a book, then could feel air brushing past her as she was quickly carried somewhere.
And then just like that, she was dunked into a fish bowl, water filling her gills and her vision clearing up to see some small, fake castle in front of her. "Hey, are you alright?!" a woman said. Sadness knew that voice; it was the half snake lady who had gone berserk after touching Sadness. Today she was a small, grayish brown desert lizard with yellow spots on her back, and she was standing down on the floor of the little pet shop Sadness was now in. Her savior, one of the book golems, was crouching next to the side of the fish bowl and moving its 'head' back and forth; it didn't really have any eyes since its 'face' was just an open book, but said book was facing towards Sadness so it certainly seemed like it was looking towards her.
There was also a man standing a few feet away, wearing a light brown shirt and white pants. He was looking towards them with a confused expression, and said, not really a word but more of just a sound that was like, "ree?"
You are reading this.It took a while for Sadness' consciousness to return to her. Her little blobfish body couldn't handle much abuse.
"I..." The familiar voice prickled at her, but she was too exhausted to place it. "I don't...um..."
Gradually, as her vision returned, she made out the details of the pet shop and the three 'people' sitting near her on the floor—the golem, the lizard, the man. Sadness focused on the lizard first since she had spoken. "No, I...I don't think so. I don't feel well. I think something happened, but I..."
She let out a breath and drifted downwards aimlessly in her new little bowl, until she bumped against the very bottom. "Aren't you the lady who was also a snake? From the library a few days ago? You...well, you were very upset, and the library lady put you in a bubble. I, um. I wasn't able to help much." Sadness averted her eyes and stared listlessly at the man with the brown shirt instead.
Currently writing something. Currently procrastinating."Okay, tha-huh?" Mary was quite surprised to find out she was being lifted up, apparently, by Old Feather Beak, only to then be flung foward towards the fight, spinning and spinning and spinning and spinning. "Whooaaooaaooaaooaaooaaooaaooaaooaaooaaooaa!"
It was a good thing that dolls couldn't throw up, because otherwise Ben would've caught not only Mary, but also remains of chewed cake, a wraithbone amulet, a purple key, and some other things he definitely would not want to see. And Mary herself did not seem to be much worse for wear.
"Oh, it worked!" the blue doll exclaimed, clearly glad to no longer be flying, before focusing her attention towards her savior who for the time being she failed to recognize, even though he clearly knew her. "Hey! I need to tell you something real quick. It's important."

Rick watched as Zelda grabbed Sadness in one scoop of her lupine teeth - and bit down, hard. Even Rick looked slightly taken aback by the sudden brutality for a moment... only to regain his usual jaded composure as he watched the chunks of fish fall on the street.
"*urp* Well, that's that problem solved, I guess. Tem-temporarily, at least. Whaddya gonna do now, huh?" Rick flicked a few buttons and leaned back in his seat. "Looks like- like Big Bird here's gonna have to mope back to Sesame Street, huh? Tail right between his little dick? Huh? Am I right, Morty? Morty?"
Morty didn't say anything- the little dog was staring at Zelda, eyes wide and mouth open.
"Y-you... you, you, you, you killed her! You killed Sadness!"
"Morty, she's fine. I guess. I mean, until she appears somewhere else, and suffocates, and dies again, and, uh-"
"Rick, t-that's not helping."
"Yeah, okay, forget I said anything. Keep going there."
"You ate her! Or killed her! Whatever? T-that's not what you're supposed to do in this kind of situation!!"

Boss Battle
Out of nowhere, the small man appeared in front of Fried and attacked him before either him or Caro couid do anything to stop him. His punch already somewhat of a impact on its own but even worse was the shock that came with it. It was enough to knock him back more than a little bit.
Caro was conflicted about what to do next for a moment. Her instict was to tend to her partner, but there was no way to know if the man wouldn't attack again and she didn't want him to get more hurt either. So deciding to prevent further harm first, she caused a dozen chains to erupt from under and all around the small man, aiming to restraining his limbs in order to keep him from attacking again or running away.

Mary had decided to ask Old Feather Beak for a lift to the fight with the rainbow team. And he complied by throwing her like a football. Rex felt pleased at seeing the psycho fly and crash in the distance, even if an even bigger psycho was responsible.
Cole freaked out and begged the demon to let go of his friends. For a guy that regularly fought demons and dragons he seemed to not get the idea that some people couldn't be convinced to stop attacking people.
"Cole, don't bother reasoning with him. Let your fists do the talking"
But it was useless, Cole had taken a break in the middle of the fight to rest. Weirdo.
Rex was too busy trying to think of a way to stop OFB to comment on his odd behaviour. Until he saw the wolf chew down Sadness. The scene was too gruesome for him but it was one of those cases where one couldn't look away because of how fucked up it was.
Rex couldn't take it, his fists unceremoniously collapsed under their own weight, leaving a bunch of grey and orange metal around his body. His emotional state had gotten the best of him and now he was powerless.
"No, no, no, no!"
It was an strange feeling. He didn't like having to let OFB go because he knew the demon didn't have the best interest of the city in mind, but the wolf had just eaten a little girl. Rex just stood there, petrified and looking at the demon leave.

As Nick Valentine went to try to gather up the children, Plague Knight looked towards the doorway into the pub. He remembered how the inner door was too narrow for him to actually enter. After a few minutes of mental calculations and building, he created a pair of normal bombs with remote ruses. He stuck each bomb on each side of the doorway within the mudroom, and then moved any heavy free furniture he could hold with beak and talon to block the door.
The alchemist then took a few steps back, and after some finagling, managed to twist the head of his staff -
*BOOM*
The considerable, yet contained explosion was powerful enough to push the furniture blocking the door a few inches, but nothing more. After moving the furniture out of the way, Plague Knight merely tapped the door. As predicted, it fell forward. The sides of the doorway were now damaged enough to allow him to merely tear away at the charred wood to create a hole big enough for the six foot raven to casually walk through.
"Let us be on our way, then!" Plague Knight said. "Just mind the debris."
DAMMIT MARK, STOP HITTING HELPY!!"Just don't ask me to clean all that up," Nick remarked.
As soon as he came outside, Nick was approached by the very same book golem that had been stalking him earlier. He escorted the kids past the golem to the library, which he hoped wouldn't have more book-people waiting inside.
"@[=g3,8d]&fbb=-q]/hk%fg"The rest of Lune's clones were wiped out by the blizzard. Although their lives were expendable, the real Lune noted their deaths with an honorable salute. May their lives rest in peace.
The real Lune blinked once and the midget is suddenly nearby Caro and Fried. Damn, that guy's quick! And to make matters worse, he attacks like greased lightning! Poor Fried didn't even get a chance to properly defend himself.
In an attempt at assisting Caro, Lune pulled out the Wasp Gun and fired it a few times. However, the rules of the day changed the wasps into tiny men and women wearing crude wasp-themed costumes. Despite their new forms, the wasp people foolishly charged in and attempted to distract the midget by stabbing him with their scaled down shivs.
Ben managed to catch Mary just fine, but he still had the attention of two of the combatants on him. Though the man with the fire patterned armor was yanked away, the one in the green overcoat was still there. He flicked a switch on his device and then pulled the lever again, and this time shot out a cloud of powder. Though the powder made Ben feel drowsy as it reached his nostrils, he would manage to avoid falling asleep. This happening as Jack Frost was attempting to drop ice attacks on the green coat man and his comrade, though he managed to weather the hits while his comrade was missed due to the aforementioned yanking.
Over at Juri's web, the blow of four spider legs to the head at once snapped the priestly man's head down; already looking like he was done for as far as the fight was concerned, then San's beams all fired right into him, narrowly missing under Juri. Once they'd passed, the man was already gone. However, the man in the fire patterned armor was no stranger to traveling through the air, and managed to orient himself to face towards the web and bring his gun up before impact. Switching its mode, the weapon charged up for a moment as he flew, then fired out a red orb; the man's forward momentum combined with the projectile's normal momentum and slammed into Juri, exploding in a big fireball. Most of her web was obliterated and she was sent crashing down the street; the man in the armor passed through where the web had been before and landed on one knee, his gun flashing as smoke poured out of his suit. It was clear he wouldn't be using either for a short period.
The short man swung his sword up to catch some of the chains as they restricted him, so that though he was now stuck on the spot, some of the chains were straining against the sword and starting to crack. He was trapped for the moment, but wouldn't stay that way for long. He grunted in pain as the wasps attacked him, though each one was only able to get one stab in before the counter shock by contact immediately killed them. With nobody currently targeting him, Red started to run towards the scene, arcs of electricity coming off his body as he charged up something mid run.
The big man stood up at this point, his gauntlets ready for action again. This was also about the time Viola was arriving at the scene.
Down the street, Old Feather Beak stared for a moment as Zelda bit down on Sadness and the fish disappeared. It's actually pretty difficult to make a Lord of Change angry; even if you defeat their forces in battle, they'll almost certainly have had a contingency plan for it. Insult them? Oh please. Mock their god? Their loyalty is always a bit questionable at best, just the way Tzeentch likes it... But, take away their sought after goal right before they could get their hands on it? Like snatching away candy from in front of a child? Then, they get angry.
Old Feather Beak wasn't just shaking in rage. The very air around him was shaking in his rage. Grimlock's shots coming in burst his shield, but he didn't seem to care, and looked at Zelda with intensely glowing eyes. "I'll! Eat! YOUR! SOUL!" Old Feather Beak yelled, each word punctuated with an increasingly intense telekinetic twist on Zelda's body, threatening to snap her spine into several pieces if he kept it up.
And then there was an eagle screech that sounded like it came from an angry floppy drive. "STRIKE FROM THE SKY!!!" Brother Marcus screamed out, and for the second time that day hit Old Feather Beak from above like a fury driven, living missile, sweeping both of them down onto a nearby rooftop and out of the view of everyone except Sans. Zelda was promptly dropped to the ground as Old Feather Beak lost his concentration on his telekinesis. Only Sans would see what happened next; Cole could technically sense some of it happening, but he wasn't exactly home right now, if you're picking up what I'm putting down. Brother Marcus and the daemon went tumbling across the rooftop until they came to a stop with the two headed eagle on top, furiously tearing with his claws and pecking with both heads. With a brief flash of energy Old Feather Beak promptly threw him off, but not before the daemon was sporting several nasty looking wounds; blood didn't spill from them, but rather an energy seemed to slowly leak out of them instead. As the space marine recovered and charged again, the daemon promptly disappeared into invisibility, making Brother Marcus pass through air harmlessly. Brother Marcus hollered in frustration. "COME OUT AND FACE ME DAEMON!" But Old Feather Beak was not going to do that. He was just going to leave, empty handed, and bruised in both body and ego.
"Oh... You were there for that" Silanea muttered, her tone slightly ashamed and embarrassed, but mostly frustrated. "I'd rather not talk about... Wait, what do you mean you weren't able to help?" she asked, what passed for eyebrows on her face lowering slightly.
The city had been in black and white then after all; she couldn't recognize Sadness from her coloration.

You are reading this.Ben snatched Mary as carefully as he could, then he looked down to make sure she was all right. He was, however, attacked by the man with sleeping spores. His eyelids drooped, but he managed to shake it off, and curled up, rolling away from the fight to make sure Mary was safe. "Mary! You okay?" he asked. "What do you need to tell me?"
His rolling was interrupted as he heard the screech of Brother Marcus, noticing the birds in the sky. Ben's brow furrowed. He couldn't just leave Mary, but he had to do something. For the time being, however, he kept his distance from the fight. He fired a couple potshots at the distant enemies with his cannons, but he kept his distance.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.Boss Fight - Zelda.exe Has Stopped Working
Her bite had did its job. Zelda could feel Sadness disappearing, leaving only a little bit of her blood in her teeth. It naturally tasted awful; why would the blood of the innocent taste any other way? However, if she managed to keep her friend away from the Lord of Change, then it didn't matter. Nothing mattered.
However, she didn't exactly feel happy about it. Quite the opposite, really. Once the job had been done, she just drooped and hung limply, staring off into space with the blankest of blank expressions. Even as the Lord of Change became absolutely furious with her she ignored it and just let it attempt to kill her. Nothing so much as a whimper in pain. Not even her unexpected rescue, fall towards the ground, and subsequent impact garnered a reaction. She just lie there, in all sorts of pain in body and mind, seemingly completely ignorant to anything going on around her.
Even when the Lord of Change lost, it won.
Icon by Civvi the Civilian!Sans arrived close to the battle just in time to watch Zelda bite down on Sadness so hard that it killed her. The sight was shocking to say the very least, he sure didn't think Zelda would have the courage to do something like that and from the looks of it neither did the demon bird, who got so angered Sans could almost feel the anger in the air himself. He begun trying to kill Zelda with his telekinesis and Sans was about to intervene when suddenly somebody crashed down on the bird, that being another bird, one with a voice the skeleton knew far too well.
He kept himself out of sight, trying not to draw attention to himself. Zelda seemed to have dropped down and the others were going to take care of her for sure, so he kept his focus on the battle between the two birds. It looked like the big guy from yesterday was winning, but then the demon decided to leave either by teleporting or turning himself invisible, Sans couldn't really tell which one it was.
Seeing that in the end he couldn't do anything regarding catching that demon, Sans decided to focus back on the gang fight going down there. He wasn't sure if Brother Marcus would end up attacking him again, so he teleported closer to the fight while still remaining on rooftops.
Looking down, he spotted Caro, Fried, Lune and some midget that was caught in Caro's chains, which meant he was the target. Before he could break free, Sans summoned four medium sized catter blasters once again and just like before had them shoot white beams on the chained target. Conveniently, since there was nothing about the process of summoning the blasters would draw attention towards him, it meant he could keep picking off those guys one by one as long as he kept doing his best to not draw attention to himself.
Being a small cat was pretty convenient at times like that.
While his attacks seemed to do little, Jack saw an opening when the red armoured guy was suddenly pulled away, leaving the green guy on his own. He saw his chance to try something new, and possibly actually learn something about what was going on.
He swooped down in front of the man, but kept far enough back that he could react to any sudden movements or attacks. Slowly he dropped Twinetender, but still kept his head low and in reach of it. Staring down the man, he smirked. Or at least, did the best he could with a feline face. "Things aren't looking too good for you, buddy. Some of your friends have already taken off, and there are more of them then there are of you. So, tell me what's going on. Why are you all fighting?"
"I mean...well, I wasn't able to help you feel better after it happened," Sadness muttered. "It was hard to get you to calm down. And before that...I sort of caused it. That's what I do...make people sad...I never really thought it could hurt, but..."
"You can tip over the bowl now," she added gloomily.
Currently writing something. Currently procrastinating."I know how to get Miss Librarian to help!" Mary exclaimed in a rush. "She told me while we were talking alone!"
She wasn't sure of just how much help Miss Tairee would be, but seeing that she could turn Sadness' fish place into... whatever that big moving thing was, maybe she could do something to get rid of them. She did seem to have trouble pushing the buttons because she didn't have fingers anymore, but it was still worth trying.
"Just take them all to the library, and she can take care of everything... I think," the blue doll explained. "At least, that's what she said."

"Stop! Let them go!"
If he'd still been human, there would have been more options for what to do. He knew how to attack barriers from the mages back home, he could have still reached, he had once managed to kill a Venatori by throwing a dagger into the woman's eye. As a rabbit, there wasn't anything he could do against a flying, shielded monster.
He tried to reach out with his mind at the same time, grasping for anyone around that he could call to for help, but with the battle going on, everyone he could sense was busy, fighting, being attacked. There wasn't anyone else he could locate that could intervene, either.
"Please! Please, don't do this, stop hurting her, they haven't done anything, let...let her go...don't..."
Cole slumped down against the ground, as though his body had suddenly become too heavy for his legs, a vaguely glazed expression coming into his eyes as he just stared up at OFB. Whether or not he was aware enough to keep attention on what was going on around him wouldn't be clear, only that the rabbit seemed to have just decided to lie down in the middle of the battle without concern for his surroundings.
