Streets, Near Battle

Sadness was quite sure she had never met this bird before. She was even more sure that she did not want him clutching her in his talons.

"What—what are you doing!" She twisted, attempting to wriggle down into the furthest corner of her tank, and aimed to thwack his talons with her tail, though it was more out of a desire to push him away than to weaponize her sadness powers. Sadness was dimly aware of fuzzy animals, friends, bounding over to help, but she didn't have time to call out to them, only twisted even more sharply to try and distance herself from Zelda's teeth or Cole's paws.

Boss Battle

Fortunately, with the combined efforts of Negi, Lune, herself and others, including the very opponents both groups intended to fight, most of the Ruckus army was brought down. Now they could focus mostly on beating the challenge, which as just as well, since it definitely looked like it was going to a hard battle.

After finding Negi close by, she said, " Well, that part is over. But beating our targets definitely won't be nearly as easy. We will need everything we got to pull this off. So, as promised, I will lend you my strenght. So whenever you're ready, please shoot those guys with everything you got." Her horn started to glow again, with Negi being covered by the same pink aura, while she called out, " Boost up "Barret Power"! " Her copies then did the same each with one of Negi's paper doll ones. Meanwhile, Fried and his copies each launched their fire at the old man casting the blizzard.

Mary (Sadness' Main Battle Fish Tank) - Bad Idea

"Wait wait wait don't do that!" Mary exclaimed, helplessly waving her arms at Old Feather Beak. "If you do it, then she-"

But she did not have time to finish the sentence. Because, while she was turning around to make sure no one was coming to attack them, she saw two animals that were clearly coming to attack them. And they were coming fast. So with all the courage and determination she could muster... she jumped straight off the cannon and out of the way.

Because being attacked by animals was definitely not on her list.

Battling Red and his team — Black Heart and Hollow Bones

Things could have gone a lot better, blazing-man easily dodged his projectile and Twilight's laser and even took the time to shoot at a random leopard. That wasn't even taking into account how effective most of the team was at covering their weaknesses with one of them in particular being able to protect the team from most attacks. At least they didn't seem to be able to fly which was something they could exploit. He remembered that Stinkfly could fly, Twilight as well, Caro had a weird dragon that she could use, and there were probably other people he was forgetting about. The thing is, they had a decent number of flyers that could transport non-flyers and attack the team from afar.

Rex's train of thought stopped when he spotted Cole running away from the battle, which was fine by him. He didn't want to see Cole, or any of his friends for that matter, injured but something wasn't right. Rex saw the demon, who he had previously thought had escaped from the fight, swooping down near where Sadness' tank², the fish herself, and Mary. They really should have stayed in the library. Why didn't Tairee stop them? Didn't she care about kids?

The fight could wait, Rex wasn't going to let the demon kill Sadness (or pass on an opportunity to kick his ass). He collapsed his wings and positioned his mechanical fists so he would fall on the demon fists-first. Assuming everything went according to plan, anyway.

"Hey, birdbrain, what the heck are you doing?"

Pacific Rick

Servos and motors ground against one another as Rick's jury-rigged walker charged down the street. Animals and human scattered out of the way as he flipped a controller with one paw. The headlong sprint slowed to a light mechanical jog as he brought his suit to a gradual halt... only to see Sadness

"Woah-hoh." Rick belched and laughed sardonically as he saw the fish struggling with a giant bird- and a bunch of other animals, some of them looking familiar, who were doing their best to help."

"*urp* Shit, when did you get a tank?" he asked Sadness, paying little heed to the psychotic raven who was trying to do her in. "I mean, okay, yeah, I *urp* look, I know this isn't the best time to ask ,but, uh, just *urp* just filin' it away there for future knowledge."

"Rick..." Morty came sprinting after the mech, trying to keep up on his little doggy legs. "Rick, I-" His face fell as he saw the carnage playing out. "Oh my god! Sadness! I-what-why are you getting attacked by a bird?!" Acting more on instinctnote  the teenager-turned-French-bulldog scrambled onto the tank as best he could, trying to shoo the bird away.

"D-do birds eat fish, Rick? Is this, like, a-" he ducked a flapping wing. "Is this like a predator thing? Is this normal?"

"*urp* I dunno, Morty does this look like a normal bird to you?" Rick sat back in his chair and watched the fight play out, not wanting to get involved just yet.

Try A + B + Down, boss battle

After getting shocked with the tackle, Vergil became paralyzed much like his brother had. After hitting the ground with a similar clank. The next moment that nobody happened to be looking at him, he was gone, just like that.

Ben's flaming boulder shot plus twilight's beam both hit the man in the armored scuba suit, making him stagger and nearly lose balance. He recovered quickly though, and turned his attention on the oncoming rolling Ben. He put his hands together and charged up the same ball he'd shot at Vergil earlier, then thrust them forward to throw the ball right at Ben. Ben's current body was a bit too slow on the turning to completely avoid the projectile, but he could make it a more glancing hit if he veered his course away.

The large man let go of Grimlock as he transformed, preparing his arms defensively as the transformer finished his shift. He caught the sword with a gauntlet, which dug in and did some damage to it, but obviously not as much as if he'd hit the man directly. With his free hand, the man quickly charged up another of those dark energy balls, and since he was holding Grimlock's sword, promptly threw it right into the transformer's chest. The hit would be painful, and felt like it was targeting his Spark more than his physical body, but it would probably not be lethal.

As Jack Frost sped towards the team and attempted to ice the street beneath their feet, the man in the flame patterned armor lowered his gun and held his arms apart slightly. A number of vents across his armor opened, and flames suddenly shot out of them, not outwards but across his armor. In moments, his whole suit was ablaze; he then charged right at Jack headlong, confirming for the winter spirit the hard way that yes, he could see him. And more significantly, he could touch him; getting tackled headlong by a man in a suit of armor was already bad enough, but said suit also being on fire was just terrible. Suffice to say, he did not manage to freeze up the ground under the rest of the team as he had hoped.

Meanwhile, Karkat managed to slip among the team beneath their view and approach Red directly. Red, being small, did notice Karkat approaching him and stared at the crab as he got closer. Before Karkat could get close enough to do anything to Red though, sparks flickered across the trainer's body and Karkat was promptly hit with a small bolt of lightning.

The man in the priestly outfit braced himself as the fireballs peppered his general area, his shield flaring up and slowing down the ones that hit him directly. Still in the fight, he brought his staff up and aimed it in Negi's direction. It glowed for a moment... And nothing happened. He looked at his staff with a confused expression, eyebrows lowered, then looked towards one of his teammates.

The small man, with nobody occupying him, ran to get into a good position and aimed his open palm towards Negi, and would a moment later fire out a bolt of lightning at the mage. The man in the green suit seemed to get his equipment in order, just as the blizzard was starting to die down.

It was about this point that Sans arrived, just underneath the big web that Juri was making between the buildings.

Meanwhile, down the street, Old Feather Beak did not let Sadness' tail deter him, and kept attempting to grab her even after she kept smacking it away. Old Feather Beak was about to speak, but then Morty came up to him and starting trying to shoo him away. "Go away, mutt" Old Feather Beak said, picking up Morty telekinetically and flinging him right into Rick's suit. As the daemon was about to turn his attention back to Sadness, Rex's yell came down, and the daemon only just started to turn and get his shield up when Rex slammed into him, fists first. After getting knocked down to the ground away from the tank, the shield did do as intended and forced Rex away a few feet, though the groan uttered by the daemon as he got up to his feet indicated that Rex had still done some serious damage to him. "You people are awfully persistent!" the daemon complained as he started to flap his wings and take off, "but I will not be leaving here empty handed!"

With another telekinetic grab, he flung Rex towards the approaching Zelda and Cole, then opted to simply pick up the whole tank telekinetically by the turret and start hoisting it into the air with him. Warning lights came on at the little control panel as the connection between the turret and the rest of the tank started to strain, threatening to snap the turret off entirely if the daemon's act wasn't stopped.

Boss Fight - Karkat used Vice Grip!

Being struck by lightning wasn't the best experience. Karkat could now confirm that. He yelped a little bit upon impact, but thankfully it didn't seem to do a lot of damage; his new skin seemed to act as armor, protecting him from attacks. He stared down the furry rat creature for a few seconds before, with a great battle cry, leaping into the air and thrusting his open claw into its throat in an attempt to choke it.

Cole was afraid he wouldn't get there in time, running as fast as he could but still not 100% sure of his footing as a rabbit. He saw the doll that was Mary running from the tank, which was good he thought, but OFB didn't even look after her, still going for the tank.

The pieces clicked even as he was running.

"Leave her alone!"

Rex took OFB off the tank, which was a relief, but the demon was throwing him away and right towards Cole and the wolf also trying to run to stop him. He considered his options before gritting his teeth and running forward, and moving to leap over Rex on the way, only barely making the leap. And landing with a thud on his face, rolling to a rough stop on the ground after the fact because landing was a lot harder when you needed to use four feet to do it instead of just two.

Well he was at least still pointing more or less in the right direction. Important since OFB was trying to steal the entire tank now rather than just taking Sadness from out of it.

"Stop! Let her go!" Cole scrambled off his side with a kick, again to rush at the demon with intent on clawing at him if he could do nothing else.

The battle

Cannonbolt swerved as much as he could but the shot grazed against him, sending him wildly off course. He unfurled to try and regain his bearings, then fired off another shot at the man in the scuba suit and started rolling towards him again. This time, if the man tried anything funny, he would unfurl just in time to leap over the shot and land on or near the scuba man.

Boss Battle - what the actual hell

Upon arriving Sans saw that things were... busy. Very, very busy. He couldn't tell anything of what was going on, except that the enemies seemed to be a group of very strange humans, which meant they must have been animals affected by the day's effect. Everybody seemed to be fighting and distracted by said fighting, which meant he had a good opportunity for some sneaky moves.

Sans decided to teleport on top of one of the nearby buildings and watch the fighting from there, he took notice of the spider web that was being made and so decided to throw one of the humans into it to at least hinder one of them for some time. He waited until the web was fully ready before using his telekinesis to grab one of the humans that wasn't currently holding on to any of the others, and tossing them into the web.

At the same time, he also managed to catch a glimpse of the bird demon he had seen when the day had begun. He took note to go after him once he was done with his current idea.

Boss Battle - GET AWAY FROM HER, YOU B-!

As she approached, Zelda got a chance to see just what this demon was capable of, and suffice to say she didn't like it. However, she didn't slow down one bit. She still had the element of surprise on her side; hopefully she'd still be able to tackle it and distract it for long enough to do her job.

Then she found herself frantically skidding to a halt when Rex managed to knock the daemon off the tank briefly, and then even more frantically trying to get out of the way when he was sent flying towards her. In the end she managed to avoid getting hit by veering off to the side and ducking, but it was close enough that she could feel Rex going past her.

In the scant time she had to spend not getting splattered against the sidewalk, the Lord of Change attempted to carry Sadness's whole tank away, in such a manner that it looked like the top was going to snap off any second. Attacking the daemon itself looked out of the question, but maybe she could manage the tank itself....

She took a few moments to judge positions, for if she messed up she'd just lighten the daemon's load. Then she took a running leap at the turret and attempting to hang on to the side, aiming to either spill all the water in the tank including Sadness herself onto the sidewalk or simply hang on long enough to grab Sadness in her jaws and drop off. Either way would likely lead to someone having an emotional breakdown, but it was either that or letting the daemon have Sadness.

While the original was so occupied, her clones lost direction and ran about willy-nilly, getting themselves annihilated by whatever attack happened to be coming their way.

Boss Battle

After easily taking out those Ruckus members, it was time to take on the main challenge for the day, which came in the form of really strange cosplayers and their pet rat with yellow fur and black stripes. Since animals became humans and humans became animals for today, could the cosplayers be the rat’s pets?

So much had happened in what seemed to be just a few minutes. However, the most important thing right now was that the midget was about to hurt one of her friends. That is not going to happen! Lune glanced at her clones, who nodded right back at her. A Lune clone charged in and attempted to counter the lightning beam with a Cross Smasher beam from her hands. Although the clone's sacrifice might be in vain, at least it was going to give Negi some time.

Quick aside at the library

"An invisible helper? That's an odd request..." Miss Tairee said, still slowly typing on her keyboard. "I don't think so. A small assistance drone would make more sense. I could make one, but it would take a while to program due to the claws" the librarian continued, still checking things on her computer.

"You could also just wait until tomorrow. You probably won't be a cat anymore then" Miss Tairee told Viola, pausing her typing to look over at the black cat. She then looked past Viola for a moment, towards what signs of the battle in the distance could be seen over the rooftops. "... I don't think those idiots realized what I was getting at" the librarian muttered to herself in a slightly worried tone.

Battle Scene- Fire and Ice

In his life Jack had experienced many things. He'd tried foods from all over the world, seen the world change over 300 years and even been places humans had never set foot. In the short time he'd been in this strange city, he'd experienced even more things he'd never even dreamed of occurring.

This was one of them.

Jack felt the air leave his lungs as the full weight of an angry man in heavy metal armour hit him. It also happened to be on fire. Hitting the ground drew a gasp from the winter spirit, as the weight of his opponent stopped him from drawing in air; Which wasn't helped by the fire burning against his fur. Thankfully, he could already feel his natural cold and powers spreading out and slowly extinguishing the flames. His mind had to take a second to catch up, though. This guy could see him, and touch him! That was three so far. He had to focus, though. There were more important things to do.

Like the problem of being stuck under this guy. The way he had tackled Jack, meant that his staff was wedged in between their bodies, and his irritating new form meant that he couldn't work his arms or legs out to give himself some leverage. Struggling, his new claws scratching uselessly against the metal, Jack growled. Literally growled. As his anger and frustration and desperation grew, he could feel his power growing inside of him. He'd felt something similar before, when Pitch had attacked Sandy.

"Get. Off. Of me!" Luminous blue streaks of 'lightning' sparked off of Jack, growing in intensity, till with an audible thud, he exploded. A small area around Jack was suddenly frosted over as the bolts of ice lashed out, most directed through Twinetender and aimed at the armoured foe, more than likely propelling him off of Jack and into the air, and extinguishing the flames on his armour.

The winter spirit lay panting heavily, the attack having drained him a bit.

Viola/Library

"I see. That's a shame. Looks like I'll have to make do for now," Then I heard her mutter out under her breath, her gaze lingered at the battle that have transpired and appearing worried.

... Ah. I get it. She did leave behind that hint to the group earlier. "Were you hoping for them to lure the challengers... elsewhere?" Like, for example, the library?

Maybe they didn't get the hint. Now that I think about it, this could be my chance. I could go there and tell the others about Miss Tairee's plan while steering clear from the main battle if I'm careful. That way, I could remain in their good grace for being seen assisting them.

I Challenge You To A Pokemon Battle

Negi's fur puffed up as a bolt of lightning aimed its way at him, a combination of both magic fueled instinct and the fact that electricity was something the boy was extremely intimate with. Seeing a clone of his comrade jumping in the way, the boy took a deep inhalation as his magic got to work. Though it had struck that person, the boy went onto physically absorb the remainder of the lightning into himself before glowing in a rather eye-catching aura while his eyes glinted and sparks ran about the length of his small body. Clone or not, the boy was a person that took his camaraderie seriously.

Running on all fours, the boy used swapped out his wind based Sagitta Magica spell for its lightning variant. With the small boost of an outside force (specifically Caro and the Poke-Man attack), the boy could squeeze out a bit more than he usually could in this ability repressing city. "Ras tel ma scir magister... Septendecim spiritus fulguralis, coeuntes. Sagitta Magica, Series Fulguralis. Sagitta Magica, Convergentia Fulguralis (Gather, 17 spirits of lightning. Magic Arrows, Series of Lightning. Magic Arrows, Convergence of Lightning.)! The scent of burnt ozone could smelt as the orbiting orbs sprung into existence before shaping themselves into arrows of plasma that sprang forth to target all available targets save for the one that used electricity, their paths erratically forking to and fro a like true lightning bolt before converging into shocking constructs. After all, everyone knew that using the same element against something that used it was less effective overall.

Boss Battle

As soon as she saw that Negi was safe from the lightning, thanks to a copy of Lune and his own magic, and that he had launched an incredible array of lightning of his own, seemingly targeting every opponent but the man using electricity himself, Caro set about going after precisely that remaining opponent.

" Alright, I hope this works," She muttered, while both her horn and Fried started to glow. She then attemped to unseal Fried's adult form, which seemed to work, as his body started to glow and then expand within the pink light. When the glow faded away, Fried was now a tall and muscular adult man.

"OK, everything else has been working so far, which is great, so let's give everything we got with this, Fried," She began to cast another spell, with a pink ring-like construct appearing in front of Fried as he began to gather a large sphere of fire in front of his hands. When the sphere was big enough and there didn't seem to be any ally to be caught in the crossfire, she called out, "Blast Ray!", at which point Fried launched the sphere through the ring, sending it as a large beam of fire towards the electric man.

Meanwhile, her clones didn't quite manage the same feat and so were stuck with making the Fried copies hurl fireballs at the same target.

Round two against OFB — Critical Hit

Rex had finally landed a hit on the bird. Guess the element of surprise was all he really needed. Of course, that trick wasn't going to work twice but he was making some progress.

"Not so tough without your shield, huh?"

The demon had used his telekinetic powers to push Rex around like a ragdoll He tumbled to one side attempting to slow himself down with both his giant fists but he couldn't himself in time to not hit the others fighting with him.

Luckily, both Cole and a yellow wolf he didn't recognize (Zelda) got out of the way before he could crush them with his weight. The demon used the time to take off and lift the tank² into the air.

Rex couldn't help but wonder what he was trying to gain with kidnapping Sadness. Maybe he liked screwing up emotions? Or maybe he was planning on using her for his own benefit? Wouldn't be his first time corrupting a little girl.

"What's with you and little girls? You have issues, dude"

Rex lifted both his giant hands and tried to grab the whole tank to stop OFB from taking it with himself.

OFB Fight

Morty went flying backwards into Rick, who in turn grabbed Morty with one hand, holding up his limp body with one hand while brandishing his electrical weapon with the other. Rick glared at the bird, pushed a lever, and warmed up his on-board weapons systems, dropping Morty to the pavement as he hunched down.

"R-rick, do something! He's crazy! It's that... demon guy!" The teenager hunkered down and tried not to whimper in fear at the prospect of being telekinetically crushed to death or driven insane by the things man was not meant to know."

"Yeah, yeah, *urp* Morty keep your nonexistent pants on. Y-you *urp* you know, if we just let him have the fish... uh, I mean, everyone goes away happy, ri-"

"Rick!"

"Oh, what, okay, fine. I mean, I was just floating a-an idea past you. You know, Morty, the, the last time you were in a situation like this your stupid alien son- who I wanted to just kill- almost wound up destroying the Earth. Y-you-"

"-Rick, this isn't-"

"you don't really have the moral high ground, is what I'm trying to say." Rick rolled his eyes and turned his attention back toward the bird, who was trying to abscond with the fish tank."

"Hey, uh, demon." Rick called half-heartedly out to the bird. "Put the fish down and, uh, walk away with your hands up."

There was a pause. Morty looked pointedly up at his grandpa, who was currently packing more firepower than any domestic mammal should rightfully possess.

"Uh... or else. Morty tt-this isn't going to work, he's just going to flip out and try and tel-telepathically drive a wedge between us by manipulating our emotions or something"

Mary (Near Boss Fight) - Begin Friendship Plan C

While she was safely away from the tank, Mary took a look at the whole situation. On one side, the whole situation with Old Feather Beak trying to pick up Sadness, and her tank trying to lift off from the ground; on the other, the boss fight that was so convoluted she had no idea what was going on anymore. She continued glancing to both sides repeatedly, trying to figure out what to do next. Think, think.... what would Sadness do? What would Ben do? What would Old Feather Beak do? What would the librarian do? What would Ib do? What would Garry do? What would her dolls do?

...suddenly, she knew what to do.

Old Feather Beak would suddenly feel something small and soft hitting his back with a very low thud, followed by Mary's voice speaking from right behind him in a rather urgent tone.

"Hey, can you take me to that fight over there?" she asked. "Like... right now?"

Exchanging casualties, boss battle

Red easily backstepped away from Karkat's lunge, seeing as Karkat was a crab and Red was a much more agile creature. He sparked up a bit again, and then suddenly one of Negi's lightning attacks hit him; and much like Negi, it mainly served to add more juice. Without holding back this time and having the extra amp, Red unleashed another lightning attack on Karkat; his shell couldn't really protect him against an attack that went through his body via electricity, and he would not be walking this one off. Not until he reappeared somewhere else in the city, a few moments later.

Firing his gun into the large man at point blank, then the electric attack hitting him from behind, (which unfortunately did slightly spread into Grimlock too via his sword) the big man was looking a bit worse for wear, but was not out of the fight yet. He let go of the sword and took a step back, a purple colored aura appearing around him. He then abruptly lunged forward, orange lines trialing off his outstretched fist in a spiral pattern, which he slammed into Grimlock with great force. Force great enough in fact, that Grimlock was flung backwards several meters. The man then fell to one knee, breathing heavily as his gauntlets visibly powered down; it seemed he wouldn't be doing anything for a bit.

The man in the scuba suit turned his attention towards the oncoming Ben and prepared to do something, but then was suddenly held up by Twilight's telekinesis and getting hit by Negi's shock attack. After Ben uncurled, launched himself up, and slammed down on the man, he laid prone on the ground, broken. "Bl- blassss..." the man let out weakly, then stopped moving and disappeared a moment later.

The man in the fire patterned armor got launched up by Jack's blast, Negi's lightning attack narrowly missing under him. He landed on his feet beside Jack, absorbing the fall expertly. Then he turned his attention towards Ben, and his defeated comrade as he disappeared. The man in the green coat did the same, after getting hit by Negi's lightning attack and not seeming to care all that much. "VENUSAUR!" the man in the green coat yelled angrily, aiming his device at Ben and pulling the lever. A stream of energy suddenly came out of Ben's body and got sucked into the nozzle of the device, dealing damage to him as his very life force got slightly drained from him.

"CHHAAAR!!!" the man in the fire patterned armor yelled, charging headlong at Ben as the vents on his armor reignited his suit, intent to slam into Ben's side.

The man in the priestly outfit was also not hit by Negi's attack, but only because he was abruptly thrown to the side by San's telekinetic force, whipping him right into Juri's web. He blinked in confusion a couple times, then smirked and gripped his staff as it glowed. And once again like a sitcom repeated so often, a localized blizzard erupted around him. Juri, Sans, Twilight Sparkle, and Negi as he was continuing his back and forth running pattern were all caught in the radius as it sprung up, though once again none were frozen. All the clones that had been making that third or so of the circle surrounding Red's team were also caught and promptly destroyed.

The man in the small suit watched with his head slightly tilted in curiosity as Caro and Fried prepared their obvious and large spell. The big beam of fire and fireballs all went off- all passing right through the spot where the small man had been a moment ago. Running like nearly a blur again, the small man was suddenly right next to Fried, and punched the dragon man right in his face, delivering a small shock on impact just like he'd done to Vergil earlier.

Meanwhile, down the street Cole was finding that trying to leap up at a target that was becoming airborne and had a shield surrounding it just wasn't going to work. "You're such a fool, Compassion" Old Feather Beak muttered, watching as Rex stopped the tank's ascent and Zelda leaped on and quickly grabbed Sadness. This was of course accompanied by a rush of emotions, filling her head with memories of sad things that had occurred in her life, and... Her past life? Between the sudden depression and presumable confusion, it would be easy for Zelda to lose track of what was going on around her. The tank was abruptly let go of by Old Feather Beak, it landing to the ground with some heavy thudding as Rex was still holding onto it; Zelda and Sadness however were still floating, as Old Feather Beak had simply switched what he was holding onto. "Looks like I get two for one now" the daemon said smugly, and kept rising into the air with the wolf and fish in tow, ignoring Rick.

As Mary suddenly teleported onto his back, Old Feather Beak turned his head slightly to look at her. "Why, certainly Mary" Old Feather Beak answered her, his tone making it clear that if his beak were capable of grinning, he'd have a big one on his face right now. Mary was lifted off of him with another telekinetic grab, then thrown off towards the fight down the street like a football being flung towards the end zone, spinning too fast for her to be anything but dizzy.

A quick moment inside the library

"... Yes, I was hoping for that" Miss Tairee answered Viola simply and straight forward, still watching as they could see another blizzard springing up over the rooftops.

The boss fight

Cannonbolt looked distraught for a moment, having possibly killed the man, then his attention came back to the fight when first he felt like his life energy was being drained, then he was slammed into by the man on fire. He instinctively curled up into a ball to try and take the hit, spinning against the man who was charging him, but he was knocked back and he ricocheted off of a couple of buildings like a pinball. He stopped himself, catching his bearings, when he saw Mary tossed towards the fight.

"Mary!" he exclaimed, rolling towards her in order to try and catch her.

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.

Boss Fight - Forgive Me For What I Must Do

Fortunately, Zelda managed to succeed in grabbing Sadness. She had already braced herself for the rush of negative emotion; for Sadness's sake, she had to brush it off. However...she was not prepared for the sheer intensity. Her own life was nowhere near as traumatic enough for this. Furthermore, the images that flashed before her eyes were the very same ones from her nightmares. What was going on?

It was amazing that she didn't drop Sadness through all this, but somehow she didn't. As she started to recover, she tried to drop off and hit the ground running. Except she wasn't falling. She tried wiggling around, and still didn't fall. That could only mean one thing; the demon had simply decided to grab her instead.

For a moment she just stopped moving, defeated. Instead of saving Sadness, the two of them had just become the Lord of Change's prisoners together. Then something else occurred to her. Sadness was smaller than she was, and she was holding the fish in her mouth. Maybe, just maybe, she still had a chance to save Sadness. It would cost her dearly, not just in that she'd be taken by the daemon instead but it required doing something morally unthinkable. Plus, she had no way of knowing if it would work out at all.

But she had no other choices now.

If she could have apologized to the emotion, she would have, but alas it wasn't possible. Without wasting any further time, she bit down on Sadness as hard as she possibly could, aiming to break the poor emotion's back.
