Inside the clothing store
The clothing rack seemed taken aback; as taken aback as something without a proper face could seem. "Woah buddy! Come on, it was only some ribbing; no need to get violent! Take the hat if you want, but I don't think it's your speed" the clothing rack said. The wording certainly seemed sarcastic given that Hol Horse had been wearing the same type of hat, but the tone seemed genuine. The clothing rack offered out the hat that was definitely completely identical to Hol Horse's original hat in every way and was absolutely not actually a bright, neon pink color that could only be discovered once the day was over, totally.
Meanwhile, behind Hol Horse Ranma did eventually find Hol Horse's hat at the bottom of the pile, but only after Hol Horse already had the chance to take the hat from the clothing rack.
Silanea glowered even more, the aura getting a bit more intense as she started shaking a little. "Oh no no no, you will not make me into the bad guy here" Silanea muttered, taking a deep breath; the aura started to dissipate but her glower and shaking remained. She was about to speak up again when Bill suddenly appeared, the surprise making Silanea raise her arm and point her palm at him with the aura brightening up again. She managed to hold off actually making any attack however, and after a moment lowered her arm again with an exasperated, "ugh!"
"I just want him to leave me alone!" Silanea said as the aura disappeared completely.
If Ben or Twilight cared to pay any more attention to the factory, they'd notice that the Ruckus members had stopped their basketball game as more members came out the factory doors. After a brief discussion among each other that seemed to be higher ranking members giving out orders to the lower ones, they started to disperse. A few went back into the factory, but most of them started leaving, heading down either direction of the sidewalk, while a few who had the ability to take to the skies did so. None of them seemed to care about or tried to do anything towards Ben or Twilight.
There was a sudden string noise and an exclamation mark appearing above the humanoid mouse's head as Grimlock yelled behind him. He turned, and saw Grimlock and how big the transformer was and the transformer's angry expression. He glanced from Grimlock to the harp with an expression of confusion and surprise, then looked back at Grimlock with a sheepish smile as he made a vain attempt at hiding the harp behind his back, some sweat droplets appearing on his head.
After taking a few sideways steps back still like that, the mouse then turned and jumped, his legs making a running motion in the air for a moment to seemingly build up speed; the moment he touched back down on the pavement, he was suddenly off at a full run, making headway towards an intersection up ahead. On the opposite corner of the intersection was the large grocery store that had been prominently visited during the winter day. Currently the entire building was animated and bobbing up and down to the music playing over its speaker system.

An exclamation point also appeared above his head when he ran off.
"Hey!" he shouted. He wound up for one moment then ran after him at the same speed, leaving a smoke cloud in his silhouette. "Get back here!"
"..." He leaned against Gon's arm as he stared blankly at Silanea. Then he looked over at Gon and asked "Gee, pal, what did you do to her, kill her children or boyfriend or something? 'cause if you did, welcome to Team Bill. If you didn't, disregard everything I said for now."

With just a bit of uneasiness, Garrett carefully climbed onto Fried's back.
Ben suggested looking for the king. And he asked if Twilight could give him a ride, since she could fly, and he (at the moment) couldn't.
Then she noticed the factory.
"I have to admit, I'm pretty curious about what's happening in there."
Ben shrugged. "I am too, but we've wasted too much time already. We can find it and check it out after we find this king and beat him," Ben pointed out. "I told the others I'd help look and I've spent most of today getting into fights with the triangle guy and trying to cross the street," he admitted. He looked at Twilight and sighed a bit, crossing his arms.
"Whatever. Have it your way," Ben muttered, sneaking over towards one of the factory doors and gesturing for Twilight to come too.

Outside the Library - What Was That?
Zelda flinched slightly as Caro's magic entered her body. At first it didn't feel like much of anything had happened, but she did feel a little more...invigorated than before? Either way, apparently she'd be able to move faster. She took a few steps forward...only to underestimate how fast she'd move. She wound up speeding up pretty quickly, and her attempts to stop weren't too successful. In the end, she wound up colliding with a nearby wall, getting squashed flat with a comical splat sound.
She popped back to normal a few seconds later, looking dazed with another batch of tiny Loftwings circling her head. It only took her another few moments to regain her bearings, after which she shook her head and turned back to the others.
"That's going to take some getting used to," she said, "Though I'd hope that'd be a little more controllable on a day that isn't today...."
She trailed off and looked behind her, an exclamation point appearing over her head. It was extremely difficult to tell over the rest of the hubbub, but she could have sworn she heard something that sounded like her harp. Either it was just playing itself again, as it had earlier...or someone else found it and was making good use of it. However, before she could pinpoint exactly where it was coming from, the sound went away.
"Did anyone else hear that?" she asked.
Twilight looked at Ben with confusion. "We don't have to go in there if you don't want to."
Ben walked back over towards Twilight. "And I don't want to. Sorry bout that," he told her. "I'm just restless." He stood next to her, looking her over and trying to think about where to even begin. He had never ridden any kind of horse before. And he wasn't even sure she had humans in her world so she probably wasn't used to having a rider on her back.
"You ready?" he asked her.

Ben's bigger than Spike, but Twilight was willing to try.
"Sure. Hop on."
Ben reached up and clambered onto Twilight's back. "Whoa!" he exclaimed, losing his grip and slipping, but he managed to get his other leg around and sit down where Twilight's saddle would be if she were at all equipped. Which reminded him, she didn't have any stirrups or reins either, so Ben held on tightly to her shoulders. "Is this too heavy?" Ben asked. "I'm ready whenever you are." He kept his legs close to her flanks to help him hold on as well.
Twilight stumbled slightly when Ben got on due to him being a little heavier than what she was used to. However, she managed to rebalance herself.
"I'm okay. Here we go."
She began to take off and fly... Or try to. It ended with her quickly falling down in a slapstick fashion. She quickly realized that simply taking off as normal was too difficult with a passenger.
"Well that didn't work."
However, she thought things over a little.
"I think if we could get to higher ground, I might be able to work something out."
Ben winced and hung on as she took off... and immediately fell back to earth. He fell off, tumbling onto the ground in a comical cloud of dust. He sat there for a moment, stars circling his head, then he shook his head and dusted himself off, putting his hands on his hips.
"Hmmm," he mumbled, thinking for a moment. A light bulb appeared over his head. "We could try going to the roof of the factory," he told the pony. "And at the same time we can take a look around."
Caro smiled warmly at Sans' impressed tone at her explanation and demonstration of her spells. Then she replied, " Well, Mid-Childan magic tends to be rather flexible. Our spells basically ammount to complex equations, which is why need Devices, like Kerykeion here, to help us with them. And well, I did have excellent teachers how helped to get to the point where I'm today."
After Sans explained that his powers was supposed to have a particular to it, she replied excitedly, " Oh I see! That's very similar to how our magic works! Every mage has a different magic color that affects their spells. You might have noticed yesterday that the Summoning Square I used was colored pink. Well, likewise, you guys couldn't see it today, every single one of those spells I just casted were supposed to colored like that as well.
Then Sans hinted that he had gotten to this side of the street so quickly by using " a shortcut " . Caro pondered for a few moments on what that meant. Thinking in terms of Mid-Childan magic, since it was the only thing she had to compare such a power with, it could be movement magic, except that she doubted even Fate or Erio using their Sonic Move could have crossed this crazy street safely. If she had to warrant a guess, those book cars were most likely faster than Fate at her top speed, which is saying a lot.
Which lef her with ... yes, that was it! A shining lightbulb appeared above her head as she responded animatedly, " I think I have figured out what you mean by that! Comparing it witn the magic I know, I would say that sounds like a dimensional transfer. That is, you got here by instantly transferring yourself from that side to here! That was your 'shortcut' , wasn't it, Sans?"
Then after hearing Lune explained what the Valsione was, Caro replied, " That sounds fascinating. We don't have something like that back home. As far as big machines go, we have our dimensional ships."
Caro watched worriedly as Zelda went too fast and ended crashing. Even though she knew that her friend couldn't have gotten much hurt do to how their bodies worked today, she couldn't help feeling bad for causing that. " I'm sorry, Zelda. I should have known that something like that might happen, with how crazy today is."
Then she heard a strange tune. While the music itself was not familiar to her, she thought that she recognized what it was being played. So when Zelda asked the rest of them if they had heard to, she responded, " Yeah, I'm hearing it too. Say Zelda, could that be your harp? You did lose it and while what I'm hearing sounds very different from whatever you were playing last night, I wouldn't be surprised if that was it. So, if you can wait a while longer, after Fried returns, we can ride him and see if we can find where that is coming from."
Meanwhile, Fried waited a while longer before taking off, carrying Garrett and anyone who might have boarded him.
"heh, aren't you a smart girl." Sans chuckled, in reality he wasn't quite sure if they had the same idea, but what Caro described at the very least sounded like some simple teleportation. "i can get around pretty easily once i remember i have a place's location memorized. remember when i first brought you to the library? that was a bit of my magic at work, so you've kinda already gone through it yourself." He shrugged, his expression looking more amused as he remembered the event. "your face after it was pretty great by the way"
The sound of music was heard even among the noise the city was making and it definitely sounded like Zelda's harp. It either sprouted legs and started walking around while playing itself, or someone took it, either possibility was as likely as the other as silly as that would sound normally.
"i definitely heard a harp." Sans replied. "might as well go get it now, after all who knows if someone took it and decided to make it their own. it's important to you, right?" he asked.
Outside the center
Cain explained that Jurgen was a "blank" and that he stopped psychics from attacking him or anyone in his vicinity. His ability could be useful to stop Cole peeking from on his brain and asking uncomfortable questions.
"That could come in handy"
"So, are we gonna stand here all day, or are we going to kick that guy's ass?"
In which Sadness barely knows what's going on
About ten feet away from Silanea, Bill, and Gon, a small voice said "Hey..."
Sadness had gotten increasingly uncomfortable with the goings-on inside the library. Everyone was talking and nobody seemed to particularly like each other, maybe? Plus there was the increasing chance of her getting caught in the crossfire. From what she'd seen, plenty of the residents here were more than able to blow up the library if they felt like it...and Miss Tairee wasn't in the mood to intervene. Guess she'd have to step up and say something...
So at last she timidly approached the other group. She looked at them nervously - that triangle guy, for example, looked sort of like a fun imaginary friend, but he didn't exactly seem like someone all nice and helpful.
"Um...fighting is bad and you guys should leave each other alone, or agree to disagree, or something," Sadness said, quite lamely. "And, uh...I know this day is kind of unfun and you're probably all upset about it too, but........that's all I got, today is pretty awful."
"Yes! Let's get going!"
"Do we...have to...'kick his ass'?" Cole asked with a grimace, but nodded, still sparing a slightly untrusting look for the "blank" man. "Should I just...start searching on the ground, then, rather than...f-fly with the rest of you?"
Flying party — Looking for Mickey
"I'm sorry Cole but you can't get past the speeding cars. You're gonna have to come with us. Don't worry, we're going to fly at barely seven feet above the ground"
Twilight was a little surprised that the factory was Ben's choice. But what the hay. They could check it out and work out a means of getting off the ground.
"Alright, let's go."
Ben had chosen the factory because it was the closest large building and, to be quite honest, he was curious about what really was inside. Ben went back over to the door, trying to shove it open. He glanced inside and looked around. This would be so much easier with Ghostfreak or XLR8...
The chase is on, somewhere in the streets
The mouse ran from Grimlock until he reached the intersection, and thinking quickly, promptly climbed up the traffic light, getting him only just out of Grimlock's reach before the transformer caught up. He glanced down at the robotic dinosaur, waiting for whatever it was he would do. Just down the intersecting street from them was a certain group comprised of a skeleton and his harem a number of young ladies.
"What the heck are you talking about?" Silanea muttered after Bill's comment, eyes narrowing in some confusion and suspicion. The naga then glanced to the side as Sadness spoke up. "I'm not the one pressing the issue; he is!" she said insistently, pointing at Gon.
Behind Silanea, Miss Tairee had been watching the scene with a rather dull expression on her face, leaning one elbow on the desk and her chin on that hand. She turned her eyes towards Sadness, and choosing to remain silent, just held up a sign she'd prepared some time earlier.
The doors were surprisingly unlocked, letting Ben and Twilight enter an open work floor with some machines and conveyor belts in it; it wasn't entirely clear what the machines were meant to make. There was plenty of open space around the machines, and on the floor was various mattresses, blankets, pillows, and sleeping bags, plus water bottles, sodas, beer cans, bottles of booze, and foods of various kinds. Obviously, people had been living in here.
There was currently nobody there, save for a man in a pinstripe suit leaning on the wall right next to the door. "Hey there, ya' wanna join Ruckus?" the man asked with a grin, his slicked hair bobbing with a bit of cartoonish exaggeration as he turned his head. On the ride side of his suit's chest was four prominent lines intersecting on a point, designating him among one of the top ranks of the gang. Holstered on his side was a pretty large and somewhat boxy looking handgun.
Ben looked around at the floor. He couldn't even begin to fathom the purpose of these machines, not the least of which because he was a young boy who did not usually care about complex mechanics, much less the proper operation of a factory. What he was more concerned about was that this seemed to be Ruckus Central. If only his Omnitrix wasn't on cooldown.... Ben frowned, his eyebrows furrowing.
"Join Ruckus? As if! I'm the kind of guy who stops jerks like you. A hero!" He saw the symbols on the group's outfits... where had he seen these before?... Right! The two hooligans who were tossing eggs at buildings! He grinned.
"Remember yesterday when you guys were tossing eggs on houses? And something you couldn't see gave you a taste of your own eggy medicine? Yeah. That was me. So don't mess with me, or be prepared to deal with a real Hero!" he exclaimed, probably against his better judgment.

"Oh...all right. Then...I suppose we should start to search." He grimaced and held out a hand to Rex, just to acknowledge his readiness. "I will...try not to scream so much this time."
