Heatblast glared as Tentacruel got in the way of Kaylie and the rest of her Pokemon, while Sceptile Mega Evolved. Galvantula shocked Heatblast, causing him to grunt in pain.
"All right... all right you big lightning bug, you're asking for burnt fuzz!" Heatblast yelled, before Kaylie gave off two more commands. Heatblast gasped and suddenly put his hands down and shot off into the air to dodge the second round of attacks. The mysterious puff of smoke and the energy beams from the crystals soon passed where Heatblast once stood.
Meanwhile, Gwen was suddenly struck by mysterious beams of light from the shiny Claydol in front of her and a couple more arrows from Hercules. Gwen grunted and flew back off of the floating platform she was standing on, tumbling onto the ground below. She lay there for a moment, wincing. Then she glared, her eyes glowing pink. She floated limply to her feet like a damaged ragdoll.
"I... am in no mood... to play games!" she yelled, her voice taking on an echoing, ethereal quality. "I'm done fooling around with you! All of you are gonna die for this!" she shouted, her body erupting into pink light. She soon turned into a strange purple being
with glowing pink tendrils for hair. Floating in the air, her body started to crackle with magical energy.
Heatblast hovered in the air, flying with his hands and staring in horror at the being that Gwen transformed into.
"What the heck happened to you?!" Heatblast gasped.
"I SAID DIE!!!" Gwen simply snarled in response, shooting a huge beam of pink magical energy from her hands right in Heatblast's direction.
Heatblast had little time to react before he was blasted to the ground, landing in a small crater next to Hercules, and wincing in pain.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.I looked up at the library woman a bit startled, but mostly confused. How had she gotten there so quietly? And what did she mean I shouldn't be making friends with the cat? Was it sick? Did it have something that made it hurt when people got close to it? Or maybe it made people sick when they got close? Maybe it was contagious.
Well, I didn't get the chance to ask, because someone else spoke before I could.
"Hey, come on... we're trying to have an emotional reunion here."
It was a boy. No... it sounded like a boy. But it wasn't one; it couldn't have been. There were no boys around us, so only one that voice could've come from was...
"Yo, Ellen. The best spot's right behind the ears. That's where all the tension's at."
I pulled my hand back right away. That was not normal. I hadn't seen much from my window, but I'd seen enough to know that talking cats weren't normal. And yet... there was one right in front of me.
"You can talk... and you know me."
"Yup, that I do. I mean, it'd be rude of me not to remember a friend, y'know?"
A... friend...? But... I'd never seen a talking cat before. I didn't understand. How could I be friends with some I hadn't met?
"Miss, you knew the me from the future, right?" I asked the woman with red hair. "Was she friends with this cat?"
"Aww he's getting away" Rex lamented. The phantom thief took the opportunity to book it and even though Rex would like to assume his physical superiority was evident, it still didn't sit right with him that he had managed to escape with total impunity.
Of course, the more pressing threat of the walking tank was enough of a distraction on his own. Unlike Marcus, he seemed to have an actual sense of humor and took Rex's joke as lightly as an ultramarine would. That is to say, he threatened Makoto. She had had enough of the city that she wasn't planning on dealing with more crazy space marines.
Funnily enough, the day theme made for some strange bedfellows. Case in point, this odd group was joined by another lamia—a filthy xeno if you will. None other than Silanea's mom. With the benefit of not seeing her through a screen, Rex could now see where her daughter had gotten her figure.
"Doc, you've got some serious competition" he whispered to himself.
"The more the merrier" Six answered with a unchanging expression. A little backup never hurt and he wasn't above asking for help. Whatever got the job done.
Rex meanwhile, decided to take Makoto's advice. He trusted her to deal with the situation below while he took care of things up in the air, as much as he worried about her well-being. In a situation like this, it was warranted.
"Alright, got it!"
He built his wings and took off after making sure everything was mostly in place to do so. Six, who had seen him fly hundreds of times—he had helped him get the hang of it, after all—knew he had to act fast. He put both his swords together to activate the strong magnet in them before Rex could leave flying. Rex felt the extra force pulling on him and while he wasn't in the best of shapes, the engine in his wings could take the strain for a bit.
That didn't mean the magnets would turn off any time soon though, as Six ended up being pulled himself towards the wings. Being practical the ninja took the opportunity to stab Rex's wing to hold himself for the ride.
"Hey, leave me alone!" Rex complained and tried to spin to throw Six off. But it wasn't working, and with only one engine left it was actually very hard to control his trajectory. He ended basically crashing into the Thunder Child.
Lil' Sunny turned towards Garrett and squeaked uncertainly, then glanced up at Freckles with an inquisitive look.
Then nearby Nimbus took the blast of his own weather ball right back at him; though that didn't seem to bother him too much. However he then got cut in half, which- well, he couldn't exactly be bothered about that very much right now; he'd be bothered a lot when he was next alive, probably, but not right this moment.
Lil' Sunny though, she was bothered. After a faint squeak in shock, Lil' Sunny wailed in anguish, and lashed out at Arsene with more vines from her hands in another giga drain attack, dropping Freckles on the ground again.
Meanwhile, the space marine gave a short, half chuckle of a laugh after Makoto's boast. "One shot? I don't recall saying I would use only one" the space marine remarked. As soon as the motorcycle started to move, the astartes opened fire; the heavy bolter thundered loudly as large, self-propelling, explosive bullets shot forth at rapid pace. The space marine was skilled enough to make plenty of the shots still hit too, even on a moving target; the inherent defensive ability of Makoto's Phantom Thief outfit combined with her defensive buff kept her from being torn to shreds by the explosions hitting her, but the sheer force was still enough to send her veering off course. The only silver lining was that she still managed the headlight flash on Akyaliha, making the lamia yell in frustration and cover her momentarily dazzled eyes.
Elsewhere, Louie took the opportunity while Gwen was briefly incapacitated to rush to his bag of holding again and root inside for a few things. He only just got a few potions out when Ben was blasted away, leaving a little crater. "Ben!" Louie shouted in concern, then looked at his selection potions. "Oh I hope this works" the trainer thought out loud, and chucked two potions right at Heatblast in the crater. The first was a healing potion, though meant to be ingested, but would still have some effect as a splash potion. The second was one of the fire bomb potions that basically would go off like a molotov cocktail, which Louie simply hoped would help, with Heatblast seemingly being made of flames. Wasting no time, Louie then spun on his foot and chucked one last potion at Gwen; one of the gravity potions that would make anything it splashed over much heavier than it should be for about a minute or so.
"Thunder on Greetchy!" Kaylie called out, making Louie glance over. The galvantula crackled with electricity, then fired a large bolt right at the mega sceptile's back; the bolt went straight into his tail, seemingly absorbed by it. The orbs on Greetchy glowed with energy, and he let out a confident roar. "Now Greetchy, grass pledge!" the trainer commanded, pointing right at Louie. Greetchy put his arms forward, and a storm of sharp leaves rushed out in Louie's direction.
Louie's eyes widened and he braced for the hit, then Goldeneye blinked right in front of him. The attack hit the claydol hard, tearing chunks out of it; no sooner did the leaves stop, did Goldeneye fall to the asphalt with a thump, down and out. "Goldeneye! No!" Louie screamed, dropping to his knees and putting his hands on the pokemon.
"Well, that was supposed to hit you" Kaylie remarked in an uncaring tone. "But I'll take wiping out that 'prized' shiny of yours too; you always bragged about it too much anyway" she continued, before adding, "now, to deal with you, how about... Will-o-wisp." Kaylie motioned a hand in the direction of the sableye, who grinned a bit more and held her arms up. Little flames that seemed like ghostly apparitions formed in the air around her, then started drifting through the air, locked onto Louie.
Though his eyes were teary, Louie got himself back up to his feet, and then turned to start running. Swishee honked from on the fire hydrant, and sucked a bunch of the spraying water into her bill, before unleashing large wave of water towards Kaylie and her party as a surf attack. "Oh, come on" Kaylie complained, taking cover behind the tentacruel again as the wave hit the whole team. None of them seemed badly hurt by the attack regardless, though the minior was temporarily swept away.
Up above the fight, Rex and Six crashed onto the main deck of the Thunder Child. Maybe a dozen or so dead militia members were laying about here or there, with no living militia immediately in sight. The sound of laser fire towards the aft of the deck told that there must still be at least one; over towards that end of the boat, the spartan soldier was standing at the top of the stairwell to go under deck, firing their rifle down the stairwell at someone that was returning fire with bright red lasers. The spartan stopped though, taking a few steps back out of the line of that fire, to glance back as they heard the crash.
After a brief half-second of just staring in their direction, the spartan ejected the battle rifle magazine, and started a quick reload. Once they were done, they'd turn the weapon towards Rex and start firing on him, the weapon shooting in short, three round bursts.
The Miss Tairee copy looked at the black cat for a moment, before turning her eyes back towards Ellen. "If you mean the demon currently taking the form of a cat, then yes. The you you would have become and him are very well acquainted" the Miss Tairee copy said, still keeping her tone polite and neutral.

You are reading this.Outside the Library- Freckles
The gun waited patiently as it was picked up, lacking the understanding to realize that the plant creature that had picked him up was waiting for an explanation. Freckles wasn't a true AI, after all, even if time with Caboose had elevated it beyond its programming. Some flexibility was lacking in the thought processes.
It was only after Lil' Sunny dropped Freckles that the weapon addressed Garrett. "I am seeking someone that is capable of killing Agent Washington and, in the process, bringing Caboose back to life," it explained monotonously. "I will provide thermal scanning to assist in finding him."
Why is a yam attacking me?Outside the Library
Arsene was wrapped up in the vines before some of his energy was drained, but he simply laughed to himself and faded away in harmless blue flames, like a ghost. Joker stumbled as he landed on the library window ledge on the upper levels, but he shook off the strain the Roselia's attack put on him and hopped from window to window until he was out of sight.
Makoto only caught a glimpse of Rex and Six crashing on the deck of the Thunder Child, and then she was bracing herself for the impact of the Space Marine's rifle shots. They were unfortunately knocked off course, but while Akyaliha was blinded, she screeched to a halt behind the lamia for a brief moment of cover and fired off a Mafreidyne spell. Two neon blue sparks went off almost immediately, covering Makoto and Akyaliha with a burst of nuclear magic, but the other two sparks were aimed at the space marine.
"You're not the only one with explosives around here!" she taunted him.

"Are you sure about this?" asked Morty as he crept as furtively as he could past the latest violent melee, a brawl that seemed to involve an even bigger, more homicidal version of Marcus smashing everything that moved.
"Look, it's fine- it's... just keep going, alright? We'll find somewhere, lie low, and-"
"-I thought- I thought the library was the lying-low point, huh?" Rick rolled his eyes.
"Look, Morty, you can either sit here and whine, whine, whine about lying low, or you can get off my ass, shut up and-" There was a pause as whatever Rick was saying was drowned out by the sound of a motor. This was not the nice, polite kind of motor that you'd find in the chassis of your average suburban SUV, however; this was the kind of motor whose owners had let it rust to practically nothing for years, kept in working order only by the occasional percussive maintenance and some kind of malevolent bloody-mindedness.
There was a roar of an engine from somewhere behind the current melee battle, a foul blast of black, diesel-smelling smoke, and a flash of headlights that briefly blinded Morty-and when he came to, he found that Rick had narrowly avoided imminent impalement on the hood of a jury-rigged sport utility vehicle
, a hulk of rusty metal covered in improvised, rusted knives... a car that Morty immediately recognized.
"Oh, shit." Rick backed away as fast as possible, one hand going for the portal gun, "Morty just-just play cool, act like we don't know them, uh, can I help y-" A shotgun blast whizzed over Morty's head and put a serious dent in a nearby wall.
None of the hostiles really cared about the unconscious Gon at the moment, which was probably for the best for him at the moment.
Lil' Sunny flailed the vines around for a few moments, as if thinking that Arsene had simply gone invisible, and still hoping to get him. Soon though, she felt forced to admit defeat, and retracted the vines, slowly wandering over to the dead Nimbus before crying loudly. The crying did peter off a bit though as she glanced over the rest of the battlefield, seeing Kaylie and her team. The roselia's eyes widened a bit, and she trembled in place.
... Then, her trembling calmed, and something seemed to occur to her. Quickly, Lil' Sunny turned and went scrambling back to the library door, squeaking repeatedly and as loudly as she could.
Meanwhile, the space marine stopped firing when his line of fire on Makoto became blocked by Akyaliha, though kept his heavy bolter aimed that way for the moment. Akyaliha herself blinked and turned as she heard the motorcycle screeching to a halt, and moved her shield over, but was just barely too late to have it intercept Makoto's spell. The lamia woman let out a short screech in pain as the blast went off, while flinching back. The space marine saw the other two shots going towards him, and turned his body to brace for the impact. After the blast, the still-standing space marine remarked, "good for you, but it will take more than that if you're trying to take me down."
Of more pressing matter though was the green glow of magic close by Makoto, as Akyaliha rose back up, breathing heavily and angrily. "You've pissed off the wrong woman, human" Akyaliha said in what was nearly a hiss, then pointed one arm forward. Two ethereal blades zoomed forward at high speed, being guided right towards Makoto's chest, aiming to stab; even if they missed, Akyaliha would have them quickly turn in the air and come around again to try again. Unless Akyaliha was otherwise distracted or hit again to lose her concentration, but she was also holding her shield in front of herself at the ready now.
Over towards the other side of the battle, Kaylie briefly glanced over towards the junk-covered vehicle with an expression of slight confusion, and a simple statement of, "huh?"

"Okay, fine, I'll help you," Garrett muttered in reply as he scooped Freckles up, "but let's get out of here first." He ran towards the library as fast as he could.
Assuming nobody tried to stop him, he'd enter the library and ask Miss Tairee for something to write.

The healing potions that Louie threw at Heatblast began to take effect, albeit at a slightly lessened rate (due to the fact they were designed to be ingested and not splashed on their recipient). The firebomb seemed to have little extra effect on Heatblast, however. Heatblast seemed completely unharmed by the flames, but otherwise didn't seem to gain any benefit.
Heatblast seemed rejuvenated and jumped to his feet, nodding and grinning at Louie.
"Thanks, buddy," he told the Pokemon trainer, before he glanced over to see Goldeneye take the full brunt of a particularly nasty Grass-type attack and faint from the exertion. "Yikes..." Heatblast murmured, glaring at Kaylie.
Heatblast scoffed when Kaylie commanded Sableye to summon ghostly flames.
"C'mon, you stupid lady, I eat flames for breakfast!" Heatblast bragged, before leaping in the way of the oncoming flames and absorbing them harmlessly. He grinned even wider as Kaylie and her Pokemon were splashed by an oncoming Surf. "Now let me show you REAL flames," he told her, his voice lowering dangerously.
He took a deep breath, letting out a fiery blast from his mouth like the fire breath of a dragon, aiming directly at Kaylie and her team.
Meanwhile, Gwen growled, struggling against the gravity potion but managing to fight against it. Soon, though, she was brought to the ground, her feet touching the floor. Clenching a fist, she brought her other hand up raising a magical wall in Heatblast's way that blocked the attack just in time.
"I WILL NOT BE IGNORED BY YOU!" Gwen shouted, flying parallel to the ground right at Heatblast with pink magical energy surrounding her as she swung her fist back to wind up a magically-powered punch.

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither. The clone of Gwen was getting really mad and she turned into a super form to combat Heatblast, Louie and Herc. She was about ready to punch out Heatblast when he decided to deal with Kaylie. Of course Hercules was not having any of that and then went and punched Gwen in the face before she could do anything else to his friend. "You forgot about me." Herc taunted Gwen and after he had done this, he would then lunge in the air and send a shockwave towards Ben's cousin if the punch connected.
Kaylie prepared to react to Heatblast's attack, but instead smirked as Gwen blocked the attack for them. "Thanks girl; now to return the favor" Kaylie said, and pointed at Heatblast. "Hydro pump!" she commanded, and the tentacruel fired a powerful, high pressure torrent of water at Heatblast. Then Kaylie looked at Hercules, and seemed to think for a moment.
"Volt switch on Greetchy" Kaylie mentioned towards the galvantula, who obliged and sent another shock into the mega sceptile's tail, seeming to power him up even further. "Now, grass pledge on that guy" she then told her pokemon. Greetchy pointed his arms towards Hercules, and sent another torrent of sharp leaves, just like on Goldeneye before, but with even more force behind it now.
Kaylie glanced back, seeing the minior catching up after being swept away by the surf attack. "There you are! Shell smash!" Kaylie called out to it. The minior seemed to eat the little white herb it had, somehow, then yellow light seemed to faintly glow through the five holes where its points stuck out. Kaylie then looked over at the sableye, and added, "you go ahead and use substitute." The sableye nodded, and concentrated for a bit, then some small animal doll
◊ appeared in front of the sableye.
Behind Heatblast and Hercules, Louie ran over to where Pecha had just dropped to the ground from the popped bubble. Despite Louie's concern, Pecha still seemed rather nonplussed about it. Louie glanced back at the fight, then scooped up the trapinch into his arms. "Come on Pecha, I've gotta think" Louie muttered, and moved towards where Swishee was hanging out at the broken fire hydrant. The pelipper hadn't attacked again, since now Heatblast would be caught in the wave too, so she was waiting. "Swishee, stockpile" the trainer commanded her, and she landed on the ground, and seemed to gather her strength up.
Since they were right at the door, Garrett and Lil' Sunny got in fine. When he got to the desks and asked for something to write with, the main Miss Tairee looked up at him. "Would a pen and some lined paper be fine?" Miss Tairee asked in return, as a ball point pen and stack of lined paper appeared with a blur on the desk.
Lil' Sunny came just after Garrett with her shorter legs, and squeaked at the Miss Tairees several times, while motioning her arms in the direction of the crowd blocking the view of the fight.
"You're going to have to be more specific than that; what sort of things were you thinking of in particular?" one of the Miss Tairee copies responded to the roselia.
Lil' Sunny paused, then squeaked several more times, moving her arms up and down, then back and forth.
"Alright. Anything else?" the Miss Tairee copy said, as a few items started to appear in front of Lil' Sunny. There was a couple CDs of some kind, a smooth, mostly transparent stone with something glittering in the center, and what seemed to be a very square spray bottle, filled with a green, opaque liquid.
Lil' Sunny squeaked gratefully, then stepped forward towards the items. She paused briefly, looking down at the stone, seeming to contemplate. Whatever hesitation was there didn't last long though, and she reached down to pick up the stone. Suddenly, her whole body turned white and glowed brightly.
A few people among the crowd watching the fight noticed and glanced back, and some Fanboy commented, "whoa, she's evolving!"

Gon slowly opened his eyes and he could hear that something was going on.
Need to move.
He tried to get up, groggy and all. He was busy slowly standing up.
But someone grabbed his left leg.
"I need to kill you."
The assassin realized that the so-called witness tried to tackle him from the back by putting him in a chokehold.
"C..crap..." Gon gasped. He's still finding a way to get out of it.

Garrett nodded as he scooped up the writing implements. "Give me a second to plan my next move," he said, putting Freckles away on a couch. Then, making sure to shield the paper from everyone else's sight, he hastily wrote:
2 questions.
1. If I steal Caboose's weapon with the weapon's own cooperation, will that be good enough for you?
2. How long do I need to hold onto my loot to clear your challenge? End of day? 'Til end of my stay?
Then he waited, hoping the Designer would reply.

Outside the Library
"I've got plenty more where that came from..." Makoto said to the space marine while Akyaliha recovered. Those EMP grenades would be really useful right now though. Anything to disable his weapons for a while would help. But right now, she had a lamia to deal with. "How's this for a human?"
Instead of backing off, Makoto sat lower on Anat to minimize the target area and set off a point blank Freidyne, hoping to shatter the spell entirely. Whether the blades hit her or not through the explosion, Makoto twisted her bike's throttle to drive directly through the lingering nuclear magic and into Akyaliha's shield like a steel battering ram.
Before Gwen could make contact against Ben, Hercules jumped in the way and punched her in the face. Gwen was not expecting Hercules to hit her with such force given his appearance, and was not bracing herself as much as she could have been.
Thus, Gwen yelled and flew back before tumbling painfully onto the ground. After a moment of sitting on the ground motionless, she struggled to pull herself up to her feet given the gravity potion was still having an effect on her.
Heatblast gasped and dived out of the way of the Hydro Pump, his feet getting drenched but otherwise managing to avoid the attack.
Seeing Gwen was struggling to recover, Heatblast took his opportunity to try another large blast of fire in Kaylie, Galvantula and Mega Sceptile's direction.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.A demon?
"Hey, can you blame me? It's elegant, it's agile, and it's easy to clean. There's nothing quite like a fresh black cat body to move around in."
His golden eyes turned back to me, and for a while I could feel some pressure from having both of them look at me so much. It was starting to make me a bit nervous.
"In any case, yeah, we're good friends. Back then I was starving, but when you killed your parents, you gave me a nice pair of souls to eat."
"...souls?"
"Yup. Humans are made of a body and a soul. I got saved from starving thanks to you, so I figured I'd do something nice for you in return. Since you were gonna die alone in the streets, I gave you a home, and the chance for you to get a healthy, happy life with loving parents and friends. Though I guess you already got the 'healthy' part covered now."
A home... loving parents... friends...
The cat sounded like it'd given me everything I could want. Was that true? Could he really give me all that? A happy life, with people who could love me? Of course I was curious, but I was also a bit wary. From what he and the lady said, future me was friends with him, and the lady didn't like future me. Or this me.
The cat seemed to like both me and future me, though.
Hercules managed to send Gwen flying away and onto the ground itself, she tried to get up but she was already weighed down from the gravity potion that Louie had already thrown at her and Heatblast took this advantage to go after Kaylie again. Unfortunately one of Kaylie's Pokemon then attacked Herc with grass pledge on the Demi God.
Herc was winded from the attack but recovered rather quickly due to his durability. He then started attacking Gleetchy with rapid punches.
Rex got up from his precarious position in the less than intact flying ship filled with corpses.
"...this place has seen better times"
There were still sounds of people trying to fight back so not everything was lost. Although to be honest that made it so the solution wasn't straightforward. Crashing the ship would take care of a lot of problems but that wasn't smart with innocents on board.
Those same sounds got closer and closer, though. A heavily armored soldier that looked clearly surprised—even through the face concealing helmet—about the new arrivals. It reminded Rex of Caboose. And while his arm was starting to feel better the crash had still taken a toll on him so he would rather not fight a different breed of crazy super soldier. Of course he wasn't going to get his wish anytime soon.
"I'm starting to think you guys can't be trusted with guns" Rex said and quickly lifted his smack hand to cover himself from the shots.
That was enough at the moment and hopefully Rex could try to get in close to the spartan and punch him, kick him, take the fight into a point he could easily win. But then he felt a hit in the jaw.
Six's kick caught him by surprise. He had already forgotten about him and honestly it wasn't every day he had to add a friend to the list of his enemies. He fell onto the ground with a thud and complained all the way.
"Ok first of all, ouch" he rubbed his chin "And second, Six has never beaten me in a straight fight. I'm going easy on you"
Six raised one of the swords he had drawn and pointed it at Rex "Sounds like excuses to me"
Makoto's quick lowering made one blade miss, but the other slashed her shoulder as it went by; they both still then turned quickly and came zooming back at Makoto. The magic blast hit the shield but didn't break it, so it was down to the direct ram. When Anat hit the shield, it took a lot of momentum out of the bike, but there the shield did finally shatter, and the front of the motorcycle thunked into Akyaliha before stopping.
... Also however there were two ethereal blades impaling Makoto's chest from behind. They had hit about the same time she had hit the shield, and dissipated moments after. "Grash!" Akyaliha hissed in frustration, teeth clenching in pain as the front wheel went up onto her tail, which coiled around randomly for a moment in a reflexive response. "How's it? Not good enough!" the lamia said in a harsh tone towards Makoto, while already forming another ethereal blade in the air. This one started to quickly spin horizontally, then rushed forward towards Makoto's stomach.
The space marine still couldn't find a satisfactory clear shot on Makoto, so he glanced around, then turned his heavy bolter in the direction of Louie and his pokemon. Before the space marine fired though, a similarly heavy though more familiar, and unaltered voice called out. "Sergeant Cassianus? What are you doing?" called Brother Marcus, approaching down the street, his chainsword red with blood that couldn't have been added too long ago.
The sergeant looked over as he heard Marcus, his grip tightening on the heavy bolter, though he didn't move its aim yet. "Waiting for you, Marcus. I've heard about what you've been up to in this city, and I've come to see judgement done upon you for your treachery" sergeant Cassianus said, his tone harsh.
Brother Marcus stopped walking, though his posture remained upright and neutral. "... You have?" Marcus asked after a pause, his tone a bit curious.
"Look around you, Marcus! This city is filled with heretics and xenos! Yet rather than carry out the Emperor's will, you side with them! You are a traitor, Marcus, and a disappointment to the entire chapter!" sergeant Cassianus ranted, letting one hand off the heavy bolter so he could motion at the city around them.
Meanwhile, Kaylie scoffed a bit as Heatblast sent more fire, and just sidestepped to behind the tentacruel again, while casually telling the galvantula, "volt switch on Greetchy again." The galvantula again shot electricity into Greetchy's tail while jumping away from the flames, though still seemed to get a bit singed. Greetchy simple raised an arm to cover his face and took the hit, coming out looking alright. "Now, try the hydro pump again, and a power gem" the trainer then said. The tentacruel shot another torrent of high pressure water at Heatblast, while the minior had the ring of crystals appear again and fire lasers at Heatblast too.
When Hercules came running in, Greetchy braced himself; the pokemon wasn't completely unprepared, as it was obvious that Hercules was strong, but still the mega sceptile was having trouble with just how strong Hercules was, and was sent staggering back. Unfortunately, Hercules only got a handful of hits in before Kaylie called out, "iron head!" Suddenly Hercules was slammed in the side by the escavalier, which hit him with the crest of its helmet hard enough to send Hercules sideways. "Greetchy, synthesis" the trainer told the mega sceptile, who started to regenerate some of the damage done; then Kaylie looked at Hercules with a scowl and continued, "foul play!"
With a cheeky grin, the sableye jumped onto Hercules' shoulder and placed her little hands on his head. Hercules would feel a strange power trying to take over his body; thankfully it wouldn't last long, but if he didn't manage to resist it in the time that it was happening, he'd punch himself in the face. Either way, the sableye would then try to jump away from Hercules once the effect faded.
Up above, the spartan had started to step back when Rex moved to approach, but stopped when instead Rex got kicked in the head. "What are you waiting for?" the spartan asked Six; the voice was a little modulated through the helmet, but it was still obvious that this soldier was actually a woman. "Just finish him off!" she insisted, starting to step towards Rex to aim the rifle right at his head.
"Expelliarmus!"
A bolt of light hit the spartan's gun from the side, sending it suddenly flipping through the air out of her grip. She grunted as the motors in the arms of her suit seemed to be locking up as well.
On his flying broom, Thomas lowered into view, hovering just off the side of the main deck, wand pointed towards the conflict. "We gotta stop running into each other like this" Thomas remarked towards Rex. Then the young wizard pointed the wand at Six and yelled, "stupefy!" shooting another bolt of magic energy at the man, with a stunning property.
The main Miss Tairee raised an eyebrow as Garrett wrote only a few things and then waited. "If it was that simple, couldn't you have just used those?" Miss Tairee pointed out, motioning to the little chained pen and stack of small paper slips next to the suggestion box. Miss Tairee then raised an eyebrow and glanced up as she heard the sound of a few beeps and a selection noise, though only Garrett saw the dialogue box appear in his vision.
"I hope you know what you're doing, dealing with them" Miss Tairee commented, with a slight shrug.
The glowing form that was Lil' Sunny started to grow taller and morph slightly. Finally, the glow subsided, and a similar looking pokemon stood there,
◊ though now she was significantly taller, being a bit under three times her original height.
... Granted that original height was just a foot, so she still wasn't exactly impressive, but it was quite the jump to make in the span of just a few seconds. Now that it was done, Lil' Sunny turned her attention to one of the CDs, and picked it up. She closed her eyes and concentrated while holding it out in front of her. The CD glowed briefly, and she seemed to be done with it. Lil' Sunny grabbed the other things, then looked to the Miss Tairee copy and made a few more squeaks, now of a different pitch.
"Ah, yes" the Miss Tairee copy answered simply, and a couple more items appeared with blurs, which the roserade grabbed before turning and running back towards the revolving door.
Meanwhile, towards the other side of the large lobby, the Miss Tairee copy there watched the way Ellen seemed to be responding to the cat. The Miss Tairee copy let out a disapproving, "hmph" and folded her arms. "Technically correct, but not the whole story" the Miss Tairee copy remarked, her tone no longer completely neutral, but still neutral for the most part. "Also that wasn't actually you. You're simply a copy of that demon" the duplicate librarian added.

It worked, sort of. Perhaps she missed the blades, but Anat shattered the shield on impact. Makoto jerked a bit and coughed as the magic spell sank deep into her back before fading. Anat flickered and faded as well, Makoto landing roughly on one knee as her wounds burned. Her breath was unsteady, but she pulled herself together and touched her mask again. It burned away as the next blade came at her. Anat reformed in time to take the hit. While the blade cut into Anat's arm, it didn't seem to take as much damage as Makoto would have.
"D-Diarahan..." she said, before letting out a breath as her injuries were healed. Marcus arrived, temporarily serving as a distraction. No need to worry about explosive rounds for the moment. She could focus all her attention on one person. It stood up and revealed a pair of blades tucked into its arms.
"We will try harder this time, then," Anat said with a blank, unshifting expression, though its glowing yellow eyes never strayed from Akyaliha. It lashed out with its sowrds, trying to cut through the snake woman's torso.

Heatblast glared, having had enough of Kaylie hiding behind her Tentacruel. When she ducked behind the giant (squid? octopus? thing? Ben didn't know and didn't care) and ordered her Pokemon to attack him again, Heatblast boosted up into the air (again dodging the oncoming attacks; after all, Kaylie had just announced what they were about to do so he could see them coming) and boosted down at high speed directly at Kaylie herself.
"No more hiding!" Heatblast yelled, trying to slam down on Kaylie in a fiery comet-like strike.
Meanwhile, Gwen struggled further against the potion, finally in a burst of energy flying up into the air.
"ENOUGH! I see fighting fair is no longer on the table!" she exclaimed in a fury. "I know just what to do to deal with a bug like you!" With that, she started chanting in an arcane language and gestured towards the flying battleship nearby, the Thunder Child, and tried to pull at it with immense magical energy.
She was trying to pull down the Thunder Child right on top of the ensuing ground fight. She didn't care if her ally Kaylie was down there as well. If it meant killing Ben, so be it.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.

Hercules then saw that she was shooting lighting bolts at him and quick as flash, the demi god then rolled out of the way just as they were about to hit him. He could see that Gwen was going to be distracted by the Pokemon so Herc then used this opportunity to fire a couple more arrows her way.
