Leaving the library, misunderstandings

"Huh?" Wells said, with some confusion. "Rex, did you not hear me on the radio? The ship is... He's already gone" the lieutenant went on, giving up since Rex was quickly out of earshot.

"... Were they supposed to be following?" Silanea asked as she watched behind them. "Because, they're not... I think Wells said that the ship is going to be protecting the library" the lamia elaborated.

Library, lobby

The Miss Tairee copy had eventually moved to back behind the desks to sit at the computer, and so it was there that she looked up and over at the Trickster, a very blank and neutral expression on her face. "... No, there is no Hercules currently in this building" the Miss Tairee copy replied in a straightforward and professional tone.

Prison gate - Breathing room

"Tch" The big guy went down easier than Curly actually expected, but the other one was looking like it'd be even more annoying considering that plasma blade... Trying to counter that with King's sword felt like a bad idea.

But more immediately, she'd drawn the crowd's attention as planned. While she felt pretty confident in her durability given the weapons they were currently brandishing, there was no sense wasting time getting patched up if they got a lucky shot. "Was that a brick? Really?" Curly quipped as she hopped back, firing an uncharged and roughly aimed plasma bolt at each of the three with melee weapons while she boosted a short way backwards to buy time to stick the Spur into a pocket and pull out her machine gun.

Rean || Balconies

Caboose was all gung ho about going to help Two... and then smacked into the door on his way out. Rean winced. Indeed, he needed to keep an eye on Caboose. "Thanks for the help." Rean said to Miss Tairee with a nod. He then followed Caboose out the Library.

—-

Well, this wasn't working. The city shifting wasn't cooperating with them at all, and now they were at the Balconies rather than whatever the arcade was. There was a glowing figure eating corpses nearby, and was now closing in on a bandaged corpse of a child.

Or...not? According to Freckles, the girl was still alive! Caboose fired on the glowing monster, and while that was happening Rean ran over to the girl.

"It's ok, you're safe now. " Rean said, kneeling down next to the girl. Relatively safe, but still.

Arcade, exterior

Despite its best effortsto deliver one last blow, the rat ogre found itself utterly outmatched by the mob of violence directed its way and slumped over. There was a brief squirm from somewhere within the stitch-covered mass as a few rats-deciedly normal looking compared to their evident progenitor-slithered free, gnawing some of the loose stitches open, and scuttled into the shadows, squeaking angrily. It was followed shortly after by the Muk, its foul-smelling body bursting into flame from Nimbus's attack before it too slumped over and collapsed.

Arcade inside

Lewis would find that the ghost person stumbled as he swept for its legs; it flailed angrily as it fell to the floor, but with another mouldering breath-emitting a thin cloud of gas that smelled like rusty tin from its mask-it very slowly picked itself back up off the floor, fumbling for its crude spear....

"Lewis!" cried Morty, straining against his current restraints to try and break free as the rest of the arcade quickly went to hell. "Look, just-other Rick is gonna try and-ow, ow, ow ow ow I thought you said this wouldn't hurt!"

"Wouldn't hurt Ricks." mumbled the other Rick offhandedly as his fingers danced over the lever that would seal their fate...

Crunch.

Crunch.

There was the sound of one half-gutted arcade machine crashing into the next as something huge, black, and craggy abruptly filled the vision of everyone in the area-Obsidian, his arms wrapped around Cannonbolt's body like Superman trying to stop a freight train, ploughing through one machine after the next-first Time Crisis, then Space Invaders, then some crap safari shooter that somehow showed up at every video arcade in the multiverse but nobody ever played, barrelling towards Rick himself and the jury-rigged machine.

"Oh shit-oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit Obsidian, you goddamn moron, you're worse than a Morty-" screamed Rick as the unlikely duo barrelled directly through the device-sparks flew everywhere; the dry timber and wood exposed by Cannonbolt's impromptu entrance quickly meant that a not-insignificant portion of the arcade was now in the process of burning down-but, on the plus side, the collision had thrown the Rick clear from his restraints.

"Burn, burn, robble robble!" screamed the Hamburglar as the panicking larcenist tried to dance his way out of the fire, flinging the contents of his sack, one after another, at Lil' Sunny's form in a crude barrage.

"What the-" the Council Rick had barely sat up, rubbing a bleeding patch on his head before what he was next about to say was drowned out by a war cry of unparallelled fury. Like some kind of drunken, smelly avenging angel, Rick-the real Rick-flung himself on his doppelganger, and the two grappled back and forth as in a no-holds-barred wrestling match.

Outside the prison gates

Two of the three charging melee attackers were stopped by the shots; the ones with the metal bat and the machete. It didn't look like either were actually dead yet though- the machete man was only stopped indirectly as he dived to the ground to dodge, and Curly hadn't actually hit him. The man with the spiked buckler gauntlet actually managed to block the shot with said buckler, and though it did look worse for wear now that a plasma round had hit it, the man continued with his charge. He tried to close in towards Curly so he could backhand his buckler arm at her in an attempt to hit her with the spike, though her boosting backwards was making that a bit difficult.

The man with the small caliber pistol continued to fire at Curly, but as she was now getting out a machinegun, around half the small crowd there now started desperately scrambling to either side or through the broken prison gates for cover. Through the busted gates, Curly could see the elite turn his attention to the actual prison building, and move away from this conflict. He strode confidently towards the front doors, plasma sword still drawn. The front door flung open suddenly, revealing Samson with MP5 in hand, which he immediately started firing at the elite. A previously invisible blue energy shield flickered around the elite's body as the shots were blocked, and the alien started to charge at Samson at full speed.

lewis, arcade

I blew a couple more shots at the rust man(?)'s back as it was trying to recover and grab its weapon, still bolting to Morty while trying not to get crushed as the golem that'd been there was now preoccupied with being driven into everything. "I know, I know, I'm here." A piece of stray debris went flying, while on fire, forcing me to stagger back for a moment. "...We should get going soon."

I stooped down to try and unfasten him so we could jet already, observing the new brawl between the two men with distinct enough fashion choices to thankfully not confuse them. "Are you hurt? Er, physically?" A squeaking sound. "Just go outside, Cas, I'll catch up with you."

Two, Arcade Brawl And Rats, Rats (We Are The Rats) > Inside Arcade

She tried not to dwell too hard on why on earth were normal-looking rats pouring out of the rat monster. Her blade found its mark and took the beast's head off - albeit not quite as clean as she would have like; some pushing was involved. Panting from exertion, she surveyed the battle scene, but it seemed the rat ogre and the weird noxious creature were the last ones to go.

She hurried inside once she recovered, witnessing the scenes of electronic carnage. Spotting Lewis with Morty and Cascabel, the bluenette approached them, sword at the ready to fend off other threats. "Are you guys alright?"

Zero, What's a Hades, Streets

The Intoner stared unimpressed at the gray-skinned guy with blue flame hair (yup. That was a thing). "Mr. Roman Candle. Nice to meet you." She deadpanned before shaking her head. "Just found her, but the self-righteous idiots chased me away. Lost my sword, got this stupid shield instead" Here she lifted the Capmerica's buckler for emphasis. "and I'm doing poorly, all in all."

"Name's Zero, by the way." Hmm... "Educated guess: are you looking for a ginger hunk?"

The arcade battle, interior

Cannonbolt rolled against Obsidian's charge, until he crashed into the machine. He bounced free and uncurled, glaring at the two Ricks as they fought. The place was burning down. He needed to get the innocents to safety.

He looked around. Lewis and Two had already taken it upon themselves to rescue Morty. Cannonbolt moved over towards Lil' Sunny and the Hamburglar, moving quickly to try and scoop up the Roselia as he went.

"It's not safe in here anymore, Sunny!" he said. "We've gotta get out of here. We need to get everyone here out, then we'll find your trainer!" he insisted. He glared at the Hamburglar.

"Hey, do you mind, you little troll?" he asked. "You want to get grilled like one of those burgers? No? Then get out of here!"

Arcade, outside

"Well, that settles that!" Sir Redring said, wiping his swords off. He then turned his attention towards the arcade again, seeing that it was now partially on fire. "How goes it in there?!" the octopode yelled inside, moving towards the entrance.

Behind him, Goldeneye gave an appreciative hum before floating closer to the arcade; Nimbus and Pecha regrouped there with the shiny claydol, while Swishee kept circling overhead.

Arcade, inside

Lil' Sunny let out an alarmed chirp as the fire started, holding her arms up to try to better protect herself from the hamburgers. One of them ended up stuck to her thorns before Cannonbolt got there to scoop her up. The roselia let out some more chirps of distress, while hugging Cannonbolt's arm tightly.

Elsewhere in the flames, a broken piece of an arcade cabinet was kicked aside by Ace, who then stepped towards the ongoing display of Rick on Rick violence. Ace's arms shook in fury, as he let out a challenging squawk, then his body erupted in flames again; the blaziken rushed forward, aiming to tackle the council Rick with flare blitz.

Hades just let out a sarcastic laugh at Zero and then said: "Funny, real funny. Who commissioned the candle jokes here? And also very rich coming from someone whose name is a numeral, a Roman numeral at that." He was not about to have the intoner mock him where he stood. "Leave the putdowns to a professional here. And-" He stopped in mid sentence as he then realised what Zero had just said.

"A ginger hunk? You mean a muscular pretty boy who just walks around being oh so noble and just saying: 'Look at me, I'm the hero everyone loves.' And happens to be the very person I've been hoping to find in this place?" Hades asked curling his hand into a fist not losing his cool but still quite annoyed at this. Once he had done that he started rubbing his temples and then sighed in frustration and then continued.

"Okay okay, so clearly you've already met Hercules, or Blunder Boy as we'll call him and you've found your nemesis and your not doing so good. Fine, okay, it happens to the best of us. Here's my proposal to you, you work with me on taking him down and you can still go after whoever you have an agenda for, ya know the whole vengeance, revenge thing, yadda yadda, yadda and hey I'll help you rid you of your pest forever."

On the way to prison — The half-a-mile-high club

"Oh right, I was just joking... forget about it"

Rex had skipped a lot of how the plan was supposed to play out. The race against the flying ship would have to wait, he supposed. So many things were in his mind and the lack of proper sleep and breakfast wasn't helping. Not like he minded what had lead to such a situation. And because he was getting homesick after having talked to his friends just yesterday he wanted to share the details with someone. Of course, Makoto wouldn't particularly enjoy that and it's not like a lot of people were going to listen to his rambling anyway. Maybe being so far up in the sky made every problem back on the ground feel so small and unimportant. Or maybe he just wanted to brag.

"You know, Makoto and I had a great night yesterday. I think it's really going to work out"

City Streets

It was pure luck that looking for the library again had led her to the target Shadow Sae had really been after. A strange portal in front of the arcade had opened up, and among the group of people that exited was her sister and the man her ally was hunting. Learning from her last fight, she waited until the chaos settled down and most of the people entered the Arcade before trying to make a move.

"I believe you have your chance to get your prey now," she told the spirit, pointing out the arcade's backdoor. "And I'll be taking care of her out here. Try not to drag the death out for too long unless you enjoy getting dogpiled." There were a few people and strange animals outside, but not enough to scare her away. She was more than capable of shaking them off if necessary.

Outside the Arcade

Back by the arcade entrance, Makoto watched as Two and Sir Redring went to help clean up the rest of the fight. Considering how difficult it'd been to fight out here, it probably wasn't a good idea to follow them into a more cramped space.

"I'll keep watch here, then..." Makoto said. The last thing they needed was to attract more attention while trying to save Morty. At least the pokemon seemed okay. Anat waved at Goldeneye as it floated away before disappeared, returning to Makoto's mask.

"You're very predictable, you know that?" For a split second, Makoto hesitated at the familiar voice. It was off from yesterday though. Her sister never sounded that...openly mocking. She pulled her gun out and turned around to face Shadow Sae, in her "human" guise. The Shadow grinned at her as she closed the distance between them, her heels clicking on the pavement. "At least you have to intelligence to be wary. Unfortunately, that weapon won't help you. There's no Phantom Thieves to rely on here. Or maybe they've just abandoned you?"

"...You're just a fake," Makoto said to her, though she didn't shoot yet. She wasn't sure that she could.

"And yet you won't fight. A bit pathetic, isn't it? Too afraid to stand up for yourself because you care too much. See, you're supposed to do this." Shadow Sae threw a simple punch. Makoto unfroze enough to barely dodge it, only to get caught with a backfist to the cheek that had far more strength than she expected. Makoto was knocked to the ground, her head ringing from the strike. Shadow Sae took the moment to switch forms as she stood over Makoto, becoming the Leviathan [1] again.

Ellen (Balcony) - Stranger Danger

I didn't know what had made all those loud banging noises that woke me up. But if I had to guess, it would've come from the faceless man that had just killed the green one. He wasn't like anything I had seen before. Big and red, and he swung a knife so big it made mine look like it was a toy. Another man came to where I was and told me everything was going to be fine. That I was safe.

I didn't believe a word of it.

I tried to stand up and back away, but the pain that immediately jolted through my legs forced them to give out, and I fell back down on the floor. These bloody red shoes that I'd been born with were not meant for walking, after all. I tried to get away again, crawling backwards this time. The pain was horrible, and my loose bandages made it difficult to do even that much. So there was only one option left.

I raised my knife and held it in front of me. My fangs would help protect me from danger. But even then, I couldn't really stop my arms from trembling like crazy.

I was terrified. I knew they'd killed the green corpse, and everything in me kept screaming that I'd be next. I was nothing. A dead body ridden with illness. There was no sympathy for the dead here. No mercy for us. But I couldn't get away. Even if I could stand up, they were much bigger than me, so they'd catch me in no time. And I knew that even if I tried to fight, I was too weak to do it, and they'd beat me in a second.

I didn't want to die. But what other choice was there?

My knife was ready. It was dull and bloodied, but still sharp enough to cut. As lokg as I kept it between them and me, everything would be fine. At least, that's what I wanted to believe.

Balcony

Truth be told, Caboose hadn't actually realized that Freckles was telling him the child was alive until Rean ran over to the girl's side. Clearly the kid was so overjoyed at seeing them that she tried standing up immediately! Unfortunately her legs must have both been asleep because she collapsed immediately afterwards. She scrambled backwards with her arms and began showing off her knife.

"Neat, I have one of those too!" the red soldier said cheerfully, voice holding literally zero malice, as he waved his sword around. "I like your hair. It looks a lot like Three's!" He started walking right towards her, weapons both pointed downwards... with the sword's tip being dangerously close to his own foot. There was a lot of blood on her, but that made sense because she was around a lot of bloody dead things.

His gun scanned the area, doing the work of a lookout, and spoke up. "Hostile leaning around a corner with a gun directly behind you, Captain Caboose," it helpfully informed him. All the gunfire had clearly attracted a bit of attention.

"Oh, thanks Freckles! I will go and give him some bullets as a present," Caboose told his weapon, before turning around and firing a few rounds at the gunman. With no advance warning, the target couldn't even get back behind the wall it was leaning out from before one lucky shot hit his head, instantly killing him. "Wow, there sure are a lot of bad people around, Rean!" And the sound of his bullets were probably only attracting more.

Trickster || Library

The Trickster nodded. "Thank you all the same for the answer. But perhaps you know..." He stopped, looked around carefully, then turned back and asked more quietly: "...where can I find someone named Garrett?..."

"Spare yourself the effort, Constantine," a cold voice came from behind. "I'm right here."

The Trickster turned around and saw a familiar, hooded figure emerge from behind a staircase. A grimace of hatred came over his face, but he quickly composed himself and instead put on a smile that dripped with insincerity. "Ah, Mr. Garrett. I've been looking forward to our meeting... We have debts to settle..." He spoke quite calmly, but there was a bestial snarl hidden behind every word. "And this time, I think I will take more than just an eye..."

"You can spare yourself the threats," Garrett said, eyes narrowing. "You know very well you can't do anything to me as long as I'm here, and I'm not going to leave. Now... what's with the asking about Hercules? Isn't it me you're after?"

"There is nothing I have to tell you, Mr. Garrett. First you commit brazen larceny against me,", the Trickster responded with a theatrical sigh, turning away and slowly circling around Miss Tairee's desk, "and now you try to pry into my personal business as well? You are truly a most contemptible individual."

As he walked around Miss Tairee's desk, his left arm hidden from Garrett's sight, he opened his hand. A frogbeast crawled quickly down his leg and ran underneath the nearest couch, obedient to the Trickster's mental command. (The command was: 'stay in the library, but leave and seek me out if Garrett leaves the building.')

"Good day, my dear thief," he finished. "I hope we can meet later, when my hands will be... less tied." With that, he turned to leave the library.

"Like I'll allow you to stroll out just like that," Garrett responded coldly, looking around to see where the nearest militia member was.

In the air somewhere, towards prison

"That's good; I hope it does" Silanea said in a sincere and encouraging tone. "Did you two make a plan yet? About what you'll do after going home?" the lamia asked.

Outside the arcade

Sir Redring had climbed inside and missed the arrival of Shadow Sae, but the pokemon turned to see what was happening. Goldeneye made some hums, and drifted just behind Pecha and Nimbus, who took ready poses.

They paused before attacking though, as there were some honks from above. Swishee came diving in and smacked into Shadow Sae with her fly attack, quickly moving away afterward. As soon as the pelipper was clear, Nimbus used his fire beam again, while Pecha once again used the swirling sand attack of sand tomb.

"You may not try to taunt Garrett into breaking the rules either. You should refrain from insults" the Miss Tairee copy calmly said from her seat, her professional tone still unwavering.

Arcade

"Thanks." gasped Morty as Lewis pulled him free; his shots tore into the hooded man's shoulder, which... ruptured, like a puncutured balloon, leaking more of the horrible rusty gas into the air but seemingly confirming that he was down.

Ignoring the pained screams of "Overcooked! Robble robble!" from somewhere in the background, Morty looked from the burning arcade to the destroyed wall of ruined arcade machines, to the headsets, and then to smouldering shape of the damaged but still barely-functional execution device...

"Don't you-" There was another slam as one of the Ricks succeeded in nailing his doppelganger up against the wall, slamming both fists into his bloodied face-and then reached for his gun from his coat pocket, only to find that it wasn't there-

"Don't you see?" spat the Council Rick, spitting out a tooth and knocking the other Rick off his feet with a well-timed swing from his cybernetic arm. "You can't kill me, Rick. You terror-Ricks are all the same. Never able to make the hard choices. Never able to -fuck!" Both of the men were utterly unprpeared for a fiery six-foot tall chicken man to charge into them, sending them both flying into the wall-and there was a crunch as one of the Ricks, too injured to move, stared dully up at a terrible sight.

"No. No. This isn't how it ends," said the Council Rick, rising from the flames like some kind of drunken phoenix, ignorant-or quite possibly beyond-the concept of pain, his metal arm transforming into its gun configuration, a stark contrast against his red, raw skin. "Because, Rick Sanchez C-137, you can't kill me. I'm not even your nemesis. I'm the idea of everything you hate, the laws, the regulations, the rules that stymie you... you can't break me, can't kill me anymore than you can-"

There was the clunk of a thrown switch, the sound of footsteps behind Rick as the sound of an angry teenager holding something in his hands, and jammed it over the head of the burning Rick; whatever he was about to say was cut off by an agonized scream as he fell over, clawing at his head. "Aaaagh! God! What the-what the hell is-"

"You like that, you son of a bitch? You like that?" said Morty, panting heavily from the exhaustion, grabbing a peace of smouldering two-by-four and swinging it at his tormentor's shins, savouring the sound of something vital going crunch. "I set it on Morty strength!"

"Morty... for the win..." moaned the other Rick-the sole surviving Rick, now-from the flaming pile of debris, idly surveying his own broken leg, before he passed out.

Outside The Arcade

Shadow Sae took a step back from Makoto when the Pelipper divebombed her, though the physical strike didn't seem to do much in terms of damage. However, the flames did have more of an effect, heating up her metal body parts and causing actual pain. The Sand Tomb momentarily kept her in place, but that turned her attention fully onto Nimbus and Pecha.

"Do I really have to kill all of you? I didn't know that there were so many willing to bet their lives on trash," she said, before levelling her large gun equipped arm at them. She fired a continuous Gatling Gun attack in their general direction, kicking up bits of pavement from the hail of bullets being sprayed. "Don't you know that the House always wins?" While Shadow Sae was distracted, Makoto was able to shake off the hit and stand up again.

"So this is the monster you turned into," she said quietly. She could barely even recognize her sister anymore. "I...I should have brought this up sooner." If she told her friends about Sae's palace before, could this have been prevented? "I'm sorry, Sis..." Makoto emptied the rest of her revolver's clip into the Shadow, even if the damage was fairly minimal. She just needed a few more seconds to get Anat ready.

Arcade, inside

Ace was ready to continue attacking, to brutalize the evil Rick until his ultimate demise; the blaziken flinched back as instead the evil Rick was subjected to the lobotomy machine. Ace shook his head and looked away, surveying the flaming building around him. He then looked to the normal, passed out Rick. Despite holding an expression that still seemed displeased, Ace moved over to the scientist and lifted him up over one shoulder. Then Ace started moving towards the exit, pausing with an alarmed look as the gunfire started outside.

"What?! Now the fight begins outside once again?!" Sir Redring asked boisterously from somewhere else in the smoke, before being heard scampering back towards the entrance.

Arcade, outside

Goldeneye let out another hum, floating forward towards the other two pokemon. Nimbus and Pecha both tried to move back towards the claydol, but only Nimbus reached in time before Shadow Sae started to fire. Goldeneye suddenly blinked out, taking Nimbus with it; the two of them reappeared just above the rooftop of the building across the street from the arcade.

... Pecha was not so lucky, and several bullets pierced right through the small pokemon. She slumped to the ground, weakly raising her head up for just a moment, before going limp and dead.

Swishee let out a few honks, and started to fly higher again.

Library, lobby

"... And a few boxes of laser ammo, and- huh?" Fastanook glanced at Garrett, being interrupted in the middle of talking. "Woah wait, hold on, we can't just fight him on your word alone, that's not how it..." the gremlin responded, pausing to get his walkie talkie.

"Greg we have some old guy walking out of the library, apparently might be bad? Can you hold him up while we get this figured out?" Fastanook asked over the militia channel.

Around the sides of the library, militia members securing the perimeter outside glanced towards the library to see if this 'old man' was coming out the door they were closest to. Only one was in direct view of the doors the Trickster was actually moving out, and was a bit away from them, unfortunately. "Hey you! Stop a second!" the militia member called out as he started to move towards the door.

It had the loose impression of what the 'library' was, enough to identify it and understand why it could not strike despite that contemptible human who had everything being right there...but when he eventually left, the entity followed, stalking silently and awaiting an opening...

lewis, "You're my mission!"

"No prob..." I checked the gas man, which subsequently exploded into a metal fart, while noting Cascabel starting to float outside. "There's still some stuff out there, I'm not sure if the guys've cleaned it out yet but—"

Without a moment's hesitation, Morty jumped the copy Rick in a manic fury, in a way that made it clear he was comparatively unharmed. Hearing the sound of something breaking that generally needed to remain intact, and subsequently concluding he needed some space, I walked cautiously around him toward the front door.

The whole mess outside looked done, not counting Makoto being approached by someone I couldn't pick out yet. "If we're done, shouldn't—" I'd begun pointing to the growing flames before being struck with an...odd feeling, the same one as this morning, though mixed with the general adrenaline rush of what'd just happened. My feet rooted themselves into the floor, as though not turning around would prevent the inevitable, stall some invisible predator that definitely cared. But...no. It wouldn't have made a difference whether I'd turned around or not back then, what was I doing...?

I slowly looked behind me—at first only with peripheral vision, then actually turning—and immediately saw, grabbed, and pinned..."Arthur?"

"..."

I'd expected this, but...

Whatever you could call the thing puppetting him looked back at me with black eyes filled with unbridled resentment. I stared back for several moments, the dread and energy from before evaporating entirely...before the green color, too, evaporated into mist around me, Arthur going limp and dropping the knife the being had charged with.

Then reality began to feel insubstantial...

i guess you can watch me shitpost i guess

Cannonbolt winced as Rick and Morty took care of the council Rick, but he didn't exactly feel sorry for the nemesis. Instead, holding Lil' Sunny in his arms, he gestured for Ace to follow.

"C'mon, let's get out of here!" he insisted. Then he curled up into a ball, safely carrying the Roselia inside of the ball. He rolled out the same hole that he moved through in the first place.

Uncurling, Cannonbolt gasped and noticed the familiar image of the Leviathan he had fought.

"You!" he shouted. "It's time for round 2, you big ugly gun thing!" Putting Lil' Sunny down in nearby safety, he curled up and charged at high speed towards the Leviathan.

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.

Zero, With Hades

"I tend to put people six feet under, so I'm good at the concept." She snarked back at incredulous Hades. Her assessment proved correct: the ginger boy was the Roman Candle's target of the day. "And look here, pal, if you can deal with a giant airship raining fire down on you-" Beat. "raining firepower down on you" She corrected herself. Hades seemed like the type of guy to poke at any verbal slips. "I can handle my little sister just fine."

"Now, her assortment of "friends", like she hadn't put them under the Song hypnosis, I could do without. Think you can handle a couple of overeager kids, Mr. God of the Underworld?"

Two, Inside Arcade > Outside Arcade

It was chaos all around, really. Morty, at least, seemed in good enough health to recklessly charge at the Rickbowl (with a dash of Blaziken), but then Lewis was accosted by someone he seemed to be recognizing...? She wasn't sure - the thick cloud of gray was making it hard to see anything. "We should move! The whole place is coated in smoke!" She called to Sir Redring, making it outside - only to see Makoto in peril. Ben was already engaging Shadow Sae. She could make out one of the Pokemon dead on the ground.

Unfortunately, Cannonbalt was hard to work with, and so Two opted to go for Makoto first. "Makoto!" Hoping that Ben would prove enough of a distraction, the bluenette charged in to scoop the tired Phantom Thief in her arms - not unlike the first time when they've met, after her unfortunate bout with Brother Marcus - and carry her further away from the fight. "Are you okay? Unhurt?" She asked, trying to divide her attention between the two Nijimas in the vicinity.

Outside The Arcade

"And that's one of you down..." Leviathan Sae lowered her gun as Pecha collapsed. She'd missed the other two, but they weren't important overall. Just distractions from her true opponent. She looked at Cannonbolt and tilted her head as he approached. "Round 2? I have no idea who you even are!" she growled, before he slammed into her. It certainly hurt, and she was thrown a few feet back, but she stood back up anyway and used Heat Riser on herself again. The Shadow's body pulsed red as faint smoke came off her, boosting her attack power, defenses, and speed for a minute. "Stop interrupting us!" she yelled at Cannonbolt, before looking for Makoto again. She was being led away by the annoying sword girl from earlier, and Leviathan Sae ran after them, drawing her own large sword. "Don't be such a coward, come back and prove your worth!"

Makoto hadn't been expecting to be picked up, but almost as soon as she realized what was happening, she escaped Two's grasp and stood on her own. Sae was right, she might as well stay and fight here before anyone else was killed in the cross fire.

"I-I'm fine!" she said to Two. Technically she was lying, and the large bruise forming on her cheek made it more obvious. "I'm finishing this right now. Anat, let's go!" Her mask burned away, and the motorcycle formed and charged ahead. Anat shifted forms just as it reached Leviathan Sae and grabbed the gun arm, holding the Shadow in place as they struggled. Leviathan tried to swing her sword, but Anat drew its own blade and blocked it.

"Much better, I knew you were more stubborn than that..." Anat's engines growled at her in response. They were currently even, but Leviathan Sae was slowly shoving Anat backwards with brute strength. Neither of them were giving in though.
