...All things considered, accidentally punching a stand instead of the intended target was probably one of the better outcomes this could've had. Even with it being 'made' of solid metal. That I'd just punched. With actual force. Then again, anyone could've told in advance that this was a bad decision.
I let out an involuntary squeal, pulling that particular hand back to nurse with the other hand. "I swear that was meant for him" sounded a lot more awkward when your voice was cracking as you said it. At least this particular phase was dead...? I backed away, pretty embarrassed now that I'd forcibly knocked myself out of panic mode (I wasn't entirely confident I hadn't broken something). "Sorry Anat..."
The moral of this story was that the heat of battle was not a good time to test random items. Go figure.
I gave a passing glance at the next Vader phase (how did that work...?), before kneeling down again next to Silanea trying to recover from being suffocated. "Hey, are you...I guess not alright but...not, injured? I-I'm, I'm sorry, I thought if I figured out what that did, we could use it against him...it's always like this..."

Rex didn't want her to fight? But how could she just let them handle this without her? Makoto wasn't dead yet, and as long as she could do anything, she was going to keep trying. Otherwise, what was the point of even showing up for this challenge? Anat cut straight through Darth Vader until her blade touched the dirt as he disappeared, and then she stood up straight and retracted it into her arm again. There was small, sharp pain in her leg, and she looked down to see that Lewis had punched her. Her engines made a sound that was an odd mix between a snarl and a short laugh, and debated knocking him away.
"No hurting other people," Makoto reminded her, before glancing back at Rex. "I'm sorry, I just...we're trying to end this faster..." she tried to explain. Saying what Anat really felt was probably a bad idea right now. Her head was clearing up more, which only made their actions seem more reckless by the second. But that killing blow did feel satisfying, and technically they were helping by fighting, right?
"...Fine. But see? We killed him, and now his next form is even weaker! No armor to protect him, only a club. He'll die even faster this time. We won't get close until he's weak though..." Anat turned to face the caveman Darth Vader and held out a hand that glowed with blue energy. Multiple sparks of blue magic appeared nearby him as she built up to using Mafreidyne, and then they shot towards him to create four overlapping explosions. She did seem to be trying to time it to not hit anyone else that might be charging in though.
Colosseum
If Caboose was the sort of person to get excited over something like well placed shots he would've been pretty darn ecstatic over his role in distracting Vader while Anat demolished him. As it was, all the soldier could see was that the fight wasn't over yet. When you were fighting someone who wore black armor you couldn't celebrate until you were sure they were dead. Caboose was ninety percent sure that black armored people were more tenacious.
But even he knew that fur was weaker than metal. It burned. It burned really well. Also bullets could break it. This was all learned through a series of unfortunate event involving trying to make softer friends for himself out of less metallic materials. Now this knowledge was providing him with motivation to shoot.
The hands were a major target, as the force powers seemed to have something to do with gesturing... or at least people with the force were extra enough to gesture when they used it. He didn't know which it was. "Hands again, Freckles!" Caboose whispered to his weapon as he reloaded. He aimed the gun and let out a salvo of bullets aimed at the hand not being used to hold the club right as Makoto summoned up some blue nuclear explosions.
Why is a yam attacking me?Ben winced and sat up, looking at Louie as he insisted that it wasn't just his job.
"Yeah... yeah I know," Ben muttered. "But I... I hate not being able to help..." He glanced over at the caveman Vader. "Like... this would be easy for any of my aliens to clobber. But I can't. It stinks, bad," he groaned.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither. Two, Arena
The Vader in red was defeated, and now another one - this one more human and clad in dark furs with a club - took his place. How many more? No matter. She had to put more effort for Yuna's sake. Once Rean's Arc Slash was sent at Vader, Two would come in, dashing forward to try and give him a solid slug to the face, the kind that takes your head off your shoulders.
Once Two went in, he'd go in after her to deal a swift strike of his own- assuming someone else didn't finish the job first.
Makoto claimed that she just wanted to end the fight as soon as possible and sending Anat to blindly charge in again and again without stopping was her way of making sure Vader would go down eventually.
"I know that you are angry. And I get it, trust me" It was a small miracle that she had lasted so long without losing her cool given all she had been through, honestly. Not like it was any less worrying that it had finally happened. And Rex being somewhat responsible for that, well... he didn't feel like he was in the best of positions to complain about it. If the only alternative was letting her work herself to the bone, though, he wasn't going to stay silent "But I think not even taking a minute to catch your breath is just going to hurt you in the long run"
Right now her bike had finished the job but it could very well get torn to pieces again if she wasn't careful. The same couldn't be said for Silanea, who was still dealing with the after effects of a not-quite crushed windpipe. Lewis went to check up on her but after his putting her in danger in the first place, and having—accidentally—punched Anat just a minute ago, he might as well have finished her off.
"I think you did enough, thank you. Can you stop messing things up for five minutes?!"
Anat was once again attacking Vader, who right now lacked an armor but still maintained his contempt for everyone in the arena. Regardless, Makoto was just going to keep attacking no matter what. Hopefully, after this was over, Rex could talk to her in private and set the record straight so she wouldn't be so fired up anymore.
"Hah, I remember that move"
The space marine up in the air was yanked down, placed in the way of Caboose to keep the red team soldier from shooting right away, with the space marine's position shifted appropriately if Caboose tried to go to either side. Though Caboose's attack was temporarily halted, the maneuver didn't stop Anat's assault, the blasts obscuring Vader as Marcus dropped back to the ground, once again able to control himself; the sith lord must've lost the focus from the blasts.
Rean's attack had to go in blind then, but pushed aside the obscuring blast residue as it hit Vader and made him slightly stagger. The sith lord saw Two rushing in and raised his free arm, but that was when Caboose could finally shoot it. The bullets struck and glanced away hard, tearing away the wrappings around the sith lord's hand- or rather, the stonework prosthetic carved with more glowing runes, which was now mildly damaged from the bullets hitting it.
Thus, any immediate force shenanigans were stalled, and Two's charge resulted in a solid punch to Vader's head; it didn't come off, but there was a crunch of a snap as his head twisted 90 degrees sideways and backwards, his neck broken. All it costed was the stone not-lightsaber being impaled straight through Two's chest in return.
... That was a problem, granted.
Vader slumped back, his other hand still holding the handle of the weapon tightly even up until it and his body all vanished.
The next form of Vader to appear was his normal shape, just like the Christmas one. Once again, the colors were wrong, but this time all as the same: A bright and vibrant bubblegum pink, including the lightsaber as it extended, the air around it smelling of cotton candy. Immediately, his free hand was raised, and Caboose was yanked into the air by the force grip again- actually rather, Freckles was, but Caboose would be taken with if he didn't relinquish grip on the gun as it started being forcibly spun in the air.
"Everyone ready? We're about to make an opening!" Louie called out, his instructions to the two pokemon done. Vader turned his head slightly that way, as if only vaguely interested.
Meanwhile, Silanea let out a few coughs, and rubbed her neck a bit after finally getting back up to her... Tail. "You couldn't think of some other way to test them? Like throwing them at a wall?" Silanea commented to Lewis. She looked over to Rex and Makoto, then turned her attention to the new Vader, already forming a new shield in front of herself. "Do we actually have a plan yet?" the lamia asked out loud.
"I wonder if that thing that's supposed to be his lightsaber can even reflect stuff" Adam's voice commented.
"It doesn't look like we're gonna get a chance to really find out; I think they've got the idea now of what not to throw at him. We got more explosions, a magic slash, and that lady is- She's running in?" Jeff's voice commentated, getting confused at Two's strategy.
"Whoa! Looks like she's got the strength to back up such a move, Jeff, but paid the price in a way that really doesn't surprise me" Adam's voice responded.
"I'm just worried that that's something they're only going to get to use once, Adam. There's still gonna be, uh, hold on..." Jeff's voice trailed off, as in the background he could faintly be heard chatting; in fact on the 93rd channel, where Little Spiderbee was relaying information from people she'd been asking. "Okay, according to sources around the city, there should be three more forms of Darth Vader after this, uh... Barbie one" the announcer went on.
"... And those are, Jeff?" Adam's voice asked after a short, awkward pause.
"Uh, right sorry. They are the size changing one, the one where you become someone else from the same world, and then the ancient history stuff one" Jeff's voice answered.
You are reading this."I-I don't know, maybe it wouldn't do anything if it didn't hit a person and how could anyone tell...? I swear if I knew..." What was I blabbering for, it wasn't like any of this would suddenly magically become defensible. So much for being actually helpful and not fucking hopeless for once. Why would anyone not stupid buy the hype of an alien clone made solely to stand in our way anyway...I stared at the floor a moment, turned away from everyone, and then got up, left my shield pen and Thomas's bag at Silanea's uh, tail, and quietly walked toward the nearest wall.
i guess you can watch me shitpost i guessChallenge Arena—-A Little Bit Desparate
"I'm...I'm not mad..." she said, but Makoto didn't sound very sure about that. How had he figured it out? A part of her did want to listen to him, but... fighting felt more satisfying. Rex commented on her use of the Mafreidybe spell as it knocked Vader off of Marcus, and Anat suddently stopped in her tracks. A different kind of pain hit both of them in the chest. They did that to him.
"That was not us!" Anat said to her urgently. "Tell him we would never do that to him on purpose, this is different!" Two ran over and punched Vader, only to get a sword, er, club through the chest as he died. "See? This man is evil!" It was difficult to build up to their earlier rage after being snapped out of it with fear and guilt. Without much instruction needed, Anat ignored the Candy Vader and switched to bike mode to react Two faster. She switched back and picked her up, holding a hand over her chest wound and casting Diarahan.
"I think I'll take a break now..." Makoto said to Rex quietly, her voice shaking. "You should come up with a better plan to fight. Don't waste your energy protecting me..."

Colosseum
The soldier was glad about his bullets distracting the sith lord from keeping Two back... but then he did something unforgivable! Two killed him but he... he... he stabbed Two! Right through the torso! "No!" Caboose yelled out, his voice losing all of the dopey tone that one might normally associate with the idiot. All that was left was a surprisingly deep tone that dripped with anger.
Despite the fact that he had now become officially angry at Darth Vader, he didn't let go of his gun to start going in for a punch. The sith was trying to steal away all of his friends with his powers! First Two with a club through the chest and now Freckles with telekinesis! He wouldn't let this happen! If Darth Vader thought that Caboose would let go just because he was spinning the weapon around, then he was dumber than Caboose!
While in the air, spinning around, he saw Lewis trying to slink away out of shame or something. He hadn't been really paying attention, to be honest, so he had no idea what was going on. But that's no excuse! "Lewis!" he yelled at the former ghost with rage to match a revenant. "You have a gun! Don't stop shooting the bad guy you idiot! DON'T HIDE IN THE CORNER!" It didn't matter if it wouldn't actually do much, Caboose didn't want to let anyone get away with not helping when that monster had done that to Two. Besides, the armor was clearly made of candy now, so even a normal gun should be effective.
"That goes for everyone else too! Make him let! ME! GO!"
Why is a yam attacking me?It took Yuna a few moments to reorient herself after she finally opened her eyes. She had absolutely no recollection of how she'd ended up on the ground, and was considerably disoriented for a short while. She recalled being at the arena and trying to figure out who was a clone, then... something moving towards her really quickly... and not much else. Some time seemed to have passed because the entire arena was a disaster. There was blood and everyone was panicking and yes that was indeed an arm lying right there on the ground. Under normal circumstances, that would've horrified the young girl, but her attention was quickly snatched away by something else. A voice. And a very angry one at that. A voice that belonged to a dear friend... who at the moment was up in the air spinning and yelling at everyone to... make someone let him go...
Fortunately, Yuna did not need to look too hard to find who he was talking about.
"Got it!"
Without so much as a second thought and about as little regard for about anything else, the seemingly ordinary middle schooler and her very much not ordinary faeries rushed forward towards Vader... at around teenager speed, given that she was not even transformed when she started running. That, combined with how far away she was (behind most of her teammates, in fact), meant that she seemed to be unlikely to actually get involved in the fight proper for the time being.
Two, Been Better, Arena
Being stabbed with a sword, even if it was made from energy, was understandable. Being stabbed with a club - through the chest - seemed a little less so. The crunch her punch made felt very satisfying, and though Two collapsed on the ground, spitting her blood as she struggled to get up, all in all the experience wasn't too bad. She managed to climb up on all fours, struggling to breathe, before Caboose's scream rattled her and she flopped face-first into the ground.
She didn't get a good look at the new Vader, laying there in Makoto's - no, Anat's - grip as she slowly came back from the brink once more. "H-hey, don't say that..." She croaked, savoring the breathing she could perform now that her lungs weren't full of blood. "W-we're doing okay, I t-think. We just have... how many more to go?" Being fully healed up didn't mean Two was free to just spring into action again. All of this was making her head spin a little.
Feeling just a little delirious, she reached out for Makoto's cheek to stroke it reassuringly, not realizing it was a Persona holding her. "Hang in there too, okay, Makoto?" She'd be back in action in a moment... just needed some a couple of seconds to rest.

"Really? You could have fooled me"
At least Makoto stopped pretending nothing was wrong once Two got seriously injured. Anat took care of her used its magic to heal the intoner. If only Two wasn't being as touchy as usual. Rex huffed—he was way above getting jealous, or at least that's what he liked to think. Still as needlessly gruesome as it was, Makoto finally listened to reason—she was going to take a break now.
"Goo—" Rex gave her a thumbs up before she said something about 'wasting' his energy protecting her. That was either a very passive-aggressive comment or she wasn't done feeling like shit right now. "...we really need to talk once this is over"
Silanea was back to breathing normally and she was understandably upset with Lewis. The former revenant took it in stride and left the group alone. One less thing to worry about. Which speaking of, there were a lot more left. Silanea, as usual, came to Rex for a plan. He wasn't the idea guy but she always wanted to know what he thought and it was starting to become a little sad. There was already a plan involving his technopathy but Rex wasn't sure if that would actually work since everyone that had tried to get close had suffered a lot of damage. He didn't want to test if his nanites were up to the task of regenerating damage caused by whatever Vader's sword was. Caboose of all people gave a weirdly rousing speech. Although it was mostly aimed at Lewis, everyone could use a wake up call that made them realize they had to coordinate their moves.
"Alright, Caboose has a point. I don't think he can last long up there. I need a distraction so I can get close to Vader and shut him down" he put on his goggles and built a pair of wings before taking off in the sith lord's direction "Just, whatever you do, try not to shoot me in the face, please. The guy's pink, shouldn't be hard to tell us apart"
"Man, this guy, he just keeps going, huh?" sighed Rick, ignorant or uncaring of the collateral damage his last round of laser fire had wrought. "Okay, you- you know what, can anyone keep him down long enough for me to switch off his life support... thingy? Look, I'm just spitballing ideas here."
"TWO!" Ben shouted, seeing her get impaled. He jumped to his feet, still looking exhausted, as he looked down to the Omnitrix, which was still glowing red.
He reached down and tried to fiddle with it to get it to turn back on, all the while making it beep angrily at him as he tried.
"C'mon, c'mon, turn on, turn on, lemme go hero, lemme go hero!" Ben pleaded to the watch. He looked up, and saw that Makoto had healed Two and, while she wasn't fully better yet, she definitely wasn't dead.
"Is she gonna be okay?" he asked, sounding worried.

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.Good news: They killed this round's Vader. Bad news: Two got stabbed in the chest for it.
"Two!" Rean shouted, starting to charge up Teara. It probably wouldn't do much, but he needed to do something, anything to help with this. But then, Anat pulled up next to them and picked up Two, casting healing magic on her. Two sounded exhausted, and mistook Anat for her summoner, but she otherwise seemed fine. Ben asked if she was going to be ok.
"Yeah...I think so." Rean said, cancelling his own spell. He then sighed, taking a moment to calm back down again. He looked around, taking quick inventory of the situation.
Caboose was uncharacteristically angry, hanging from Freckles and screaming at Lewis. But he also had a point, they needed to get him down from there. Louie had a plan, and so did Rex, and it sounded like they'd synergize pretty well, what with Rex needing an opening and Louie making one. Yuna was....charging forward without a weapon. Didn't the power she got from being a Hero give her one? Or did she not actually have one, and that's why she was absent this whole time? Rean switched gears for a moment, charging and firing a fireball at Darth Vader's force hand. "Yuna, you can't just charge in there!" Rean shouted. "He's just going to knock you back if you're not prepared!"

Silanea gave only the briefest of displeased glances back in Lewis' direction, before focusing on Vader after Rex's instructions. "Distract him, got it" Silanea said, and started to move forward quickly, dispelling her shield and forming two ethereal blades at the ready.
"Ace, Goldeneye! Go time!" Louie called out, and the blaziken charged forward straight towards the sith lord; Ace ran while carrying the shiny claydol at his side, almost like a battering ram. As the distance closed, flames erupted around Ace's body, the flare blitz being even more intense than usual thanks to Nimbus using sunny day. Vader readied his lightsaber, but moments before the pokemon would come into striking distance, suddenly they teleported with a blink.
They came out just behind Vader, with Ace still mid charge and all momentum retained, just now going the opposite direction. Ace just about tossed Goldeneye away after the teleport, before throwing all his weight into a mighty shoulder tackle to the sith lord's back. Vader staggered forward, his pink cape getting charred by the flames, and over in the air, Freckles' height bobbed up and down with the wavering concentration, but wasn't dropped just yet. Vader spun around to retaliate on the blaziken with his lightsaber, swinging for what would surely be a decapitation, but then one of Silanea's blades came in, itself flipping around to catch the lightsaber with the side curving inward, to more effectively catch the sith's weapon. the second ethereal blade then hit end-first into Vader's shoulder, stabbing into it.
Along with the fireball hitting Vader's free hand, the concentration was finally lost, and Freckles was dropped, along with Caboose by extension. The way was open for Rex to move in, but there was a roaring of rocket-like engines as Brother Marcus charged in first, using his jump pack for additional speed, and attacked in this moment of opportunity where the sith lord's lightsaber was currently blocked. With its teeth spinning fast and loud, the space marine's chainsword was swung around and into- then quickly through- Darth Vader's neck, decapitating him.
"Deactivating his life support would not be any easier, and it would take more time to result in a kill" Brother Marcus said in a dry tone, as Vader's body fell to the ground before vanishing.
There was a small blur elsewhere, then a quieter, higher pitched version of the distinctive regulator breathing from Darth Vader. It was near Sir Redring, who curiously glanced over and indeed saw a tiny though otherwise normal Darth Vader, standing just barely over six inches tall.
"Well, isn't that a curious- ow!" Sir Redring reached over with a tentacle, only to have to pull it back suddenly, now bleeding from a cut near the end. "So your weapon still works even at that size, hmm?! Nice to know that this will still be a challenge!" the octopode added in a much overblown tone, as he drew both his swords. What proceeded was probably what it would be like to watch Darth Vader fighting a massive kraken type of creature, only on land, and holding two equally massive swords. Sir Redring's strategy was trying to feint attacks on the sith lord so he could send in a real blow without getting either of his swords cut up by the lightsaber, but Vader was proving too skilled with the weapon for it to be working yet; Sir Redring kept having to pull back his attacks at the last second, lest he end up with half a length less of sword.
"Hey, the lady wearing blue is actually still alive; how about that" Adam's voice commented.
"I don't know if that's going to last long after the blow she took, and trying to focus on healing each other might not be the right call while Vader's still such a big threat. I'd be worried that taking pressure off of him could just lead to more casualties in the long run than it would to letting them go" Jeff's voice added in.
"Ah, but Jeff, they've only got so many people to fight Darth Vader with, and each one lost decreases their odds of making it all the way to the end. I think that's probably why big ole' Marcus decided to try saving the ninja guy" Adam's voice argued.
"You may be right, Adam, but I'd have to say, I'm just surprised we've only seen one guy turn against the other contestants; only one of them can win, and it's whoever gets the last blow. It's not like they're gonna have a last man standing match after Vader goes down; they've got to be the person landing that blow if they want to win, and the more people are also gunning for him, the harder it's gonna be to get that hit" Jeff's voice responded.
"Mhmm, indeed, indeed. So, what's been happening in the match while we were talking about that?" Adam's voice then asked.
"Oh right. Well uh, looks like the Barbie Vader has just been decapitated by Marcus, and now should be... The tiny Darth Vader, and it looks like it's currently fighting with the octopus" Jeff's voice answered.

You are reading this.Tactically I knew I should've left my gun and ammo with the rest since she or whoever else picked it up could do something actually useful with it but...putting it down had this dread to it. Maybe it was some frustrating shred of self-preservation I couldn't seem to shake, but then keeping the thing was also the easiest means of getting out of everyone's ways in a more uh, absolute manner. Provided the will was there anyway, which it wasn't. There was the, thought of looking back, but I didn't need the bitter gazes to know everyone else understood the one thing I could do besides burden them jesus christ it wasn't actually everyone what the actual fuck
I about jumped at goddamn Caboose of having a salty yelling fit at me, mostly because I did not know him to have salty yelling fits at specific people, fumbling comically with the fleeting terror of an unusually well-timed jumpscare to aim at a Sith lord who by then had just died and become an action figure.
"I can't shoot a target that tiny, I'll just hit someone else!" I cried at the no longer in midair ditz (was he still a total idiot when about to rip a bitch in half? ha ha dissenting wouldn't get me rifled right), backing away and gesturing roughly to where the aforementioned action figure was trying to make takoyaki. "In case you haven't noticed I'm kind of a walking joke rather than a sniper." But if action on my part made me a liability and inaction made me a coward, then what in God's name was I supposed to be doing?
i guess you can watch me shitpost i guessChallenge Arena—- Very Distracted
"You're right, we do need to talk," Makoto said to Rex with a small nod. She needed to say things that she didn't want to be televised to the whole city. Not that they were bad, but it certainly wasn't anyone else's business. Caboose was really angry. He sounded more coherent than any other point that she'd known him too. His plan sounded solid enough to where Rex was agreeing with him. Rallying the group was better than... whatever Lewis was doing. Rex wanted a distraction so he could shut off Vader's armor and life support, and Yuna was already charging off to fight. Anat was a little too busy watching another friend to jump in immediately though. "Please be careful though..." And he was gone again, boosting off with his jet wings.
Oh good, Two was breathing and talking again. Not dead. That was the ideal outcome. Anat loosened her grip on Two and was about to set her down again when she was touched on the face. It was not The Persona froze up and made what might have been a stalling engine sound before going silent. "...I-I am at a loss for what to do. I don't want to put her down while she's tired. Do we have to?" Anat asked Makoto, turning to look at her. Makoto, very carefully ignoring her rising heart-rate, did her best to answer.
"Let her down, but stay close." she said. Makoto pulled out her gun before responding to Ben. She wasn't about to throw herself into the fight just yet, but she didn't want to be defenseless while she caught her breath. "Two's going to be alright," she called. The wounds should be fully closed, at least. Silanea and Louie teamed up to hurt and stall out Darth Vader enough to get Caboose down. Brother Marcus bwat Rex to the kill though, finishing Vader off with his chainsword. Over by Sir Redring, a tiny Darth Vader was being fought with. Maybe his size would make him easier to defeat? He was less of an immediate threat to people far away from him, at least.
Anat gently lowered Two back to the ground and stood up straight again. Darth Vader had a couple more forms left right? Body swapped and classical aged. One more death and they'd need to focus on who gets the last hit. When would the betrayals start though…? Makoto tried to pay attention to the remaining people aiming for the prize, looking out for any strange actions they might be taking.
Another Vader then appeared in front of Sir Redring it was regular ol' Darth Vader but only he was about the size of an ant. Hercules decided to help out the octopus so he then ran over to where he was and then readied himself to fight the tiny Sith Lord. "Need a hand?" He asked the boisterous one as he prepared himself.
He had lost count of how many forms there were left but he was pretty sure that they were close to finishing off Vader for good if the announcer's commentary was anything to go by.
Colosseum
Caboose dutifully held on tight to Freckles while the rest of the guys in the arena worked to beat Vader. As long as that sith lord got absolutely demolished, it didn't matter one iota if it was the soldier doing the damage. And, sure enough, the hold on his weapon soon disappeared.
After landing on his feet, the soldier watched as Marcus decapitated Vader. Good. There were still more, though! The now tiny boss was still in need of some lead injections. Caboose shot Lewis a blank look, his helmet hiding exactly how he felt. "That makes sense..." the dope told him, using his normal tone of voice. This guy was super small now, and Lewis wasn't confident enough. "Once we kill this one he'll be bigger. It will not take longer than tying my shoes." And the angry voice was back, and saying some confident words too.
Interestingly enough he hadn't yet noticed that Two had managed to survive the club. Which meant he still had a reason to be angry.
He finished steadying himself from the slight fall and slammed some more ammo into Freckles. "My name is Michael J. Caboose!" he proclaimed menacingly. Caboose started running around the Colosseum to get a better angle on the tiny Vader. "And I. Hate. DWARFS!" On that absurd note, he began firing. Despite the fact that it was a smaller target than before and that he was still running in a large circle around the boss, his accuracy was noticeably higher than expected. With Freckles assisting him and keeping the risk of friendly fire to a minimum, Caboose was determined to deal some damage.
Why is a yam attacking me?Now Vader was tiny, and Caboose was still mad. Rean stared a bit as he watched Caboose try to shoot a doll-sized target. It was honestly pretty surreal seeing the red soldier like this. Not only was he mad, but he was actually focused. Even with Vader moving around and tiny, he'd probably hit the mark.
Anyway, aside from maybe trying to hit Vader with another fireball, he wouldn't be much help in this phase. And on that note, Rean briefly checked the energy levels of his ARCUS. There was only enough power in it for one, maybe two Arts left. He didn't expect the challenge to go on for this long, so he didn't ask for an EP charge to replenish it. But it had to be over soon though, right? He could probably tell once Vader hit changes he actually recognized from his time here. After all, they happened only a few days ago.
But...How would they handle the last hit? Even if most of them were on the same page, if they all scrambled for it at once, it'd just be a mess. Make an opening for Yuna to hit it? There were also the one or two people who hadn't responded to the explanation about what happened with Yuna, so who knew what they were going to do.

Ben looked relieved as the others told him that Two was going to be okay.
"Okay... that's good," he said softly, sighing. He glanced up and saw the tiny little thing that Vader had become. He scoffed a bit.
"Y'know, if someone had a flyswatter we might be able to deal with this really quickly," Ben quipped, still trying to turn on the Omnitrix and frowning as it refused to cooperate.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.

Caboose's first shots hit Vader's outstretched arm, hitting hard enough to break his concentration for a moment. Upon hearing Rean, Blue glanced back with a "huh?" then did another boost upwards to avoid the lightsaber handle, which had lost its upwards momentum and also retracted the blade, harmlessly passing below the Terrarian. "Uh, thanks?" Blue said towards Rean, seemingly unsure as to what just happened.
Then Anat was charging in towards Vader, who heard the approach and turned his head, and tried to swing his other arm about for something, but then more bullets were hitting his helmet, pinging around and doing mild damage to it, but more importantly, disorienting him just long enough to prevent him from preventing Anat's attack.
There was a crunching of armor, cybernetics, and some remaining organic bits, and the Christmas Vader was cut down. Lewis' punch instead met Anat's side.
Silanea slumped to the ground with the force choking ceasing, taking a bit to gasp and breathe deeply.
Meanwhile, Louie turned from Ben and Hercules, and seemed to be thinking. "It's not up to just you, Ben. We've all gotta do our part" Louie said, grabbing more of his pokeballs, and releasing Goldeneye the shiny claydol, Ace the blaziken, and Nimbus the castform onto the field. "Nimbus, use sunny day now. Pecha, when the guy shows up again, use sand tomb again, right away. Ace, Goldeneye, I have a plan" the trainer instructed his pokemon, taking the blaziken and shiny claydol aside to provide them further instructions. Nimbus morphed into a little sun ball, shining more light in the arena.
As the holiday Vader's body blurred, there was another blur to one side of the arena as the next form of Vader appeared. Rather than armor, this one seemed to be clad in dark furs, with wrappings all around his head and arms. Instead of the lightsaber, he held a sort of long, rectangular stone club, engraved with red, glowing runes. Being the first of Vader's form besides his child self with his eyes visible, though shadowed in the wrappings of his head, the contestants could see him look at them all with contempt. He turned and glanced over and down at the unconscious Genji; the sith lord readied his weapon and started to step forward, but then Brother Marcus came running in, using his remaining arm to scoop Genji up before Marucs took off with his jump pack towards the other side of the arena, where the majority of the party was.
Despite the sands swirling around Vader again, the space marine only got partway through the air before grabbed by force powers, though his quick thinking response was to simply throw the unconscious ninja towards the others with the simple, partially choked instruction of, "CATCH!"
"Oh dear!" Sir Redring said simply, sheathing his swords and making a lunge towards where it seemed Genji would land.
"Oh, there's a smart idea! Shooting Vader while he doesn't have the lightsaber" Adam's young voice commentated.
"Indeed and others are charging in for the melee, aaand ouch, that would have to hurt" Jeff's young voice answered.
"Okay so next up we've got-" Adam's young voice started, before stopping for a moment and there was a deep cough. "Whoa, sorry, switched again" the announcer's now back to normal voice added, before continuing with, "So this next up would be, uh... I guess that's like the caveman day."
"Isn't Vader's body like, half robotic or whatever? How does that work with that day?" Jeff's likewise back to normal voice asked.
"I could not tell you, Jeff, because I don't know" Adam's voice responded simply.
