Colosseum Stands, Rabbit Formó-> Goal Oriented
The voting for Caboose continued on, though Marcus seemed to think that Ben was just a shapeshifter trying to out Caboose to prove his own innocence. That'd certainly be an elaborate move, but maybe it was too elaborate to even work. And Miss Tairee was...also a fake? That was interesting, though that didn't seem to affect the challenge at all since she wasn't on the giant screen's list of names in the first place. Rick was starting to lose it, revealing that the reason he didn't have an arm on Day 19 was because a changeling stole it. Well, no wonder he wasn't enjoying this challenge at all... And was Rex crying over their first meeting? This annoying barrier was in the way of her helping him directly, and despite just getting there a minute ago, she was running out of patience waiting for the Writer to put her back in the arena. She didn't want him to fall apart in front of everyone.
"We can do whatever we want tomorrow, just... try and hold it together until then, alright?" she asked him.
In the stands beside the voted out group, an unfamiliar red haired girl in fake looking armor appeared. even her weapons looked like toys, but then again, so did Kelsey's equipment and armor. Was that one of the earlier themes of the day? As soon as Kelsey told the girl what was happening, Makoto couldn't help but feel like this person might end up being a rival. While Rex went to finish the challenge, Makoto turned her attention to Sarah with a somewhat intense gaze.
"...Are you here to try and take the wish too?" she asked, a little hostile for someone that was currently a rabbit.
Rex was really taking it bad. Still, Makoto on the other side of the arena was there to reassure him. Now that was sweet. Two mentally kicked herself for ever thinking that Fakekoto's exploitation of him was "romantic". But then again, she simply didn't know beforehand.
As for Fakeboose, he was taking his defeat surprisingly graciously, even deciding to vote for himself. He didn't quite seem aware of his status as a doppelganger. Now that was a harrowing thought, and one that just left Two a moment ago. What if one of them was a fake and simply wasn't even aware of the fact? Freckles confirmed that Caboose was indeed not real, and Ben's watch interacting with him cinched the matter. "It was a good match, Sir Doepplganger. Take it easy."
With him out of the picture, Two began thinking. "I think we should reexamine people who might have been considered beyond suspicion." She said, looking at Brother Marcus. Something about his insistence to have Ben voted out - who was most definitely not a fake - rubbed her the wrong way. "That would be, I think, Brother Marcus, Silanea, and myself."
"I'm not saying that either of us is a doppelganger, but we should make sure a fake isn't sneaking by unnoticed."
Upon having it pointed out to him that he could've done this at any point, he really had no rebuttal to this. He stood there in thought, realizing they were absolutely right.
If Ben had normal skin he'd be turning red with embarrassment.
"....Shut up," Ben simply said back. He turned away from the Terrarian and the red changeling soldier. He looked down at his hands, seeing what he could do. He tried morphing his body, and he felt his matter shift as he began to change shape.
One of his hands took the form of a large mallet, another one lengthened and sharpened into a sword-like appendage. He retracted them and then formed out multiples of the same weaponized appendages. Retracting them, he again brought out humanoid arms.
"Hey, this form's actually really awesome!" he said, excitement entering his voice. "This is basically any alien I want!" Two more appendages emerged from his back, forming into thin sheet-like wings much like those of Stinkfly. He leapt into the air and soon lifted off, his gelatinous wings buzzing like those of the insectoid alien. "Haha, this is great!" said Ben excitedly, landing onto the ground again, retracting his wings and putting his "hand" under his "chin".
"I wonder what I'm gonna call this one..." he muttered under his breath. "Oh, maybe Morph! Yeah!" He struck a pose, trying to look as heroic and awesome as possible. "Morph!" he shouted. "Yeah, I like the sound of that."
Removing her helmet, Sarah sat it on the chair next to her, scratching her head. "A wish, huh?" She said, puzzled. "Any specific parameters, or would one be able to wish for anything they wanted? And thanks." She nodded with a slight smile to Kelsey, in response to her armour comment.
Sarah spied Eight Four nodding to her in acknowledgment. "Another SPARTAN, huh?" She said with a smirk. "SPARTAN II I presume, judging by your Gen 1 CQB." Shifting about in her seat, she draped an arm over the backrest. "What's your rank, soldier?" She asked with an authoritative tone in her voice, despite looking like a child.
She then noticed a rabbit trying to get her attention. Considering what the troll said when she arrived, she assumed this was another person who had been pulled in. "Well, I need to see about getting into the challenge, first. Until I can, who knows." She said, shrugging. "Why do you ask, anyway?"

Classical zone, challenge arena
"I don't think we can wish to get out of here, or wish to screw over the guy giving us the wish" Kelsey commented, giving a mild shrug of sorts. "But the last time someone got a wish like this they got history rewritten in their world" she added, leaning back before continuing, "the challenge is locked off for just us in it though. I don't think you can get in."
Eight Four seemed a bit surprised. "Whoa, you're actually Spartan? I didn't even expect any other UNSC... Uh, yeah, Spartan 2, unit Spartan Eight-Four, specialist" Eight Four said, somewhat getting back to a more military professional tone, though that dropped as he thought for a moment. "What do you mean, 'gen one'?... Wait, what year is it back home for you?" the spartan then asked.
Meanwhile, down in the arena, Brother Marcus looked at Rean and just stared for a few moments. "... And you don't think that a shapeshifter could imitate the boy changing his body with that xenos' tech?" Brother Marcus pointed out, rhetorically, in a very dull tone.
Blue turned his attention to Rick as the scientist freaked out a bit. "Hey, it's alright right now man; none of us can get hurt, remember?" Blue said, holding up his hands and trying to reassure Rick.
"Blue come on, let's get that fake voted out already" John said, motioning to Caboose.
"Yeah, I vote for Caboose" Thomas said, pointing to Caboose.
Colosseum — Stress Limit
Given the surprise of finding out people that had "proven" they were real were nothing more than lying doppelgangers, it wasn't crazy to keep interrogating whoever was left until the copies cracked.
"Alright, I've got a few questions. Silanea, what did your mother say when we called her? Two, we met each other yesterday. What was I doing? And Marcus, when did we convince you stop trying to kill any 'heretic' you encountered?"
Makoto was worried about Rex still and promised him that tomorrow they could have fun, as long as he promised to not lose it for whatever was left of today. It was a well-deserved reward for beating the challenge. And a good opportunity to make up for today's fiasco.
"Really? We could... we could dance. We talked about that earlier. R-remember?"
All the stress Rex had felt in the last few minutes was still barely contained inside him, despite Makoto's best efforts. In fact, the sudden shift in emotions was too much for him and his wings gave out and collapsed, much like a rubber band after too much force had been applied to it.
With no more support, he fell to the ground with as much grace as expected. Thankfully the conditions and his own powers prevented any serious injury, but that didn't make it any less embarrassing.
"...I'm fine" he said, sitting up.
Colosseum Stands, Rabbit Form—-> Stupid Barrier
Makoto didn't understand much of the military talk, but she wasn't intimidated by it either. Any authority this person had didn't exist here.
"This isn't anything personal, but quite a few of us came here to help a specific person, so if you think you can jump in here and take that wish for your own means... I won't make it easy for you," she said to Sarah, before turning back to Rex. "I do remember. If you want to dance, I'll try with you"- she was interrupted by Rex's wings deciding to collapse on him, and he fell out of sight. "Rex?!" She was about to jump out of her seat and try to see into the arena when she heard him speak again, and she sat down with a relieved sigh. Right, they couldn't get hurt at the moment. That didn't mean it wasn't scary to watch someone hit the ground...kind of like how they crashed this morning, come to think of it.
"What, so nobody else is allowed to try to fix their own world's problems?" Trent asked to Makoto, back in his medieval crossbowman getup. "It's not very exciting either, if the outcome was already predetermined from the start" the literate added.
"No no, clearly we should just give up and trust that this complete stranger is telling the truth and really is going to use the wish solely to help someone else" the child Kelsey said, in a mocking, sarcastic tone.
Meanwhile down in the arena, Silanea quickly moved to Rex's side, trying to help him up. "Are you sure you're okay?" Silanea asked, a bit quietly, and concerned. "Um, my mother, when we called her? Well she said a lot of things, but, we were mainly talking about what was going to happen with the tribe now that they're alive again, and our deal with the Vusluoran king" the lamia added, after thinking to Rex's question.
"We first truly discussed the matter on the fifth day" Brother Marcus replied to Rex, the space marine's tone dry and seemingly annoyed at the memory.
Colosseum Stands, Rabbit Form —- Trying To Make A Point
"Hey, I just said I wasn't going to roll over and let someone else win if they were going to use the wish for another thing! We just discussed that before the challenge even started, so why would I lie in front of all of those people?" Makoto asked Trent and Kelsey, not hiding how upset she was at all. She looked back at the arena, losing some steam as she laid back down on the seat.
"But it doesn't matter, I can't stop you anyway..."
"I do agree with him on that one." Sarah says, gesturing to Trent. "Everyone should have equal opportunity to get the wish." She then turns to Kelsey, thinking about what she said about it being locked for those that were originally in the Coliseum. "Hmm... Would there be a way to switch with someone from my universe, considering I outrank him?" The hint was subtle, but she didn't know if Eight Four would get it.
"The year for me is 2557. I'm a SPARTAN IV and my armour is gen 2 Scout." She said to Eight Four, regarding his question about what year she came from. "I'm Sarah Palmer; Commander Sarah Palmer. I lead all SPARTANs on board the UNSC INFINITY." She smirked and leaned forward. "So that means, I outrank you, soldier."

One thing the fake idiot was not expecting was to still be around. Everyone else got pretty much instantly removed the second they were outed, yet here he was still. The changeling shrugged. Might as well try one last time at helping out around here. While he thought that they'd definitely be able to handle the next challenge, some of these people were just a mess.
He had been trying to motivate Lewis this whole time, but the not-ghost was being very stubborn about it. One last try!
The impostor walked over to the lump of misery and self-loathing that was Lewis. He poked the man's head to get his attention. "Hey, so... you know, I've been trying to cheer you up this whole time because you really didn't look happy at all. And I guess now that I know I'm not real and stuff that was pretty silly of me since I never was on your side..." the changeling said, still having a Caboose like tone. "But now I think I know why it didn't work!"
"You don't want to stop being like this! You just want to keep being like this because you feel like you did bad things and are a bad person," he continued, dropping the dopey tone a bit as he spoke. "I mean... do you think that you deserve to be like this because you did bad things? Because that is stupid! And you are stupid if you think that! I bet that you feel like being miserable is a way to try making up for things, but it isn't! It is just a way to make yourself feel better. No one who you did those things to feels better because of it! If you want to try doing something to make things better than try saying sorry! And try doing things!" If he knew the term self-flagellation he'd probably have put it into that rant.
"But if that doesn't make sense to you, and I guess it didn't make a lot of sense to me either so I can forgive you, than I have something simpler you should do. Stand up and get over it! A ghost who doesn't do anything is just a dead person!"
"I think that Fake Ben would "find" this method of localizing changelings much earlier." Two replied in response to Brother Marcus's accusations. [[blue: "If Caboose's doppelganger is a second-to-last of them remaining, revealing himself so late seems like it could only work against him.
Rex asked her about yesterday. "You were carrying Makoto." She decided not to go into too much detail; that alone should have been sufficient. He then crashed on the ground, but thankfully, seemed to be not worse for wear, save for his damaged pride. Silanea helped him up, but there was something else, behind the barrier. "And I can vouch for Makoto. Some of us here decided to use the wish for a noble cause, and she's among these people."
"I just hope that we can come to an understanding once all is said and done..." She had her worries about the situation. Odds were, they would have to fight some of their former allies in this endeavour against changelings. Speaking of changelings, Caboose's was still around, trying to encourage Lewis with all he had. That was nice of him.
Colosseum — "Before we attack each other and tear ourselves to shreds like a pack of maniacs..."
Silanea, much like Makoto, wasn't entirely sure Rex was doing fine after that fall, and asked him if he really felt okay.
"...not really, no"
Despite his best efforts, he was having a hard time getting up. This entire day had made him go weak in the knees and so far it had been more tiring than any fight he had ever take part of. The fact that Makoto had accepted to dance with him later, hadn't actually helped in that front. If anything, it complicated things "Uh, you don't mind if I lean against you, right?"
Silanea, Marcus, and Two answered their respective questions correctly. Two in particular had the decency to not spill anymore details than necessary, which went to show that she was the real deal... or she actually knew very little about what she was talking about. The revelation had left a clear impact on Rex by this point, and he wasn't sure what was true anymore.
"Well, yeah but I was thinking more what she said about me" he told Silanea "Everything seems to check out anyway. And I don't think anyone mentioned any of those things before so... are we sure there's another copy left besides that guy?"
lewis?, colosseum, semi capable of paying attention
It was Two's solemn vow to insist she wouldn't dare leave no matter what I said and then leave anyway. That was...fine. As it should be. She didn't understand anyway, it was better this way. It was fine.
This was fine.
I stayed frozen in place there, fighting myself to try and keep what little grip I still had. It wasn't...doing much, insomuch as actually calming down went. Everyone past that point was smart enough to do important things instead of meddle, at least, besides...???
Why was he doing this if he was supposed to be working against us? Geez, this guy had a real dedication to staying in character I guess. I looked up (barely) in honest confusion, starting to recognize that for as much energy I'd been putting into keeping sound enough to participate, I hadn't been leaving much for, actually participating. I glanced around, catching Makoto in the box and an orange blob Ben thing just sorta there. Ohh...couldn't he have started with that instead of bitching at Thomas? "Wait, but you remembered who was in the mind fight," I pointed out just to make sure he didn't derp inopportunely.
"Oh yeah... that..." the fake soldier said when Lewis started asking a really good question. "Well, I really didn't... but I thought I was supposed to so when I saw the drawing inside my helmet and realized what it was I used it." He rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. "I made my body glow on the inside to look at it without taking it out so no one would vote me out."
And that raised the obvious point. "I probably should have realized something was wrong when I made my skin glow inside my helmet, huh? I just thought I was real so I was going to do that so I wouldn't be removed from the challenge and hurt you guys. Because if I was real than making you guys think I was fake would be bad." It made sense at the time, in his defense.
"And I think it was pretty mean how the fake Makoto kept on insulting you. But that's OK, because it wasn't actually her. I think you should say sorry to the real one, though, because you must have done something bad if you listened to her. Apologizing might make things better."
"...Makoto was fake?" I blinked at him.
Wow, this guy really was out of it! "Yeah, she was another clone! I think she was just trying to make you upset so you wouldn't call her out!" the changeling explained. "Um... Rex is real, though. I really think you should apologize to both of them for whatever you did so you can move on... or at least try to not be a ball of sadness for this next part."
Come to think of it... Lewis had said once the challenge started that he hadn't intended to be involved. "Look, you don't have anything you want to do here right? Try helping Yuna then! I know the real me would like that, and so would a lot of people here. And... I think it might make Makoto feel better about you because that's what she's also trying to do."
lewis?, colosseum, the one time going with your gut was the better option
"...............................son of a bitch." I glanced between him and my notes, ticked off at myself for seeing it and then looking the other way, and crossed some shit out. "...That's...kinda what I was going for like, two seconds ago." I really didn't get this apology ramble. "Though why in god's name it'd mean anything is a mystery, even if they bought it..."
I checked my gun, stared at it a little too long, shook my head at it. "I was going to use it for that if I somehow got it, I said that. I only have a gun, though, and not even one of the better ones. What could I do that's better than staying out of the way, anyway."
"I don't know, I don't know what the next round will be like!" the changeling replied. "But I think you should at least try to think of something. If you can't help than you can't help, but maybe you should think about it before you decide that."
He looked right at the wreck of a man. "Just see if you can help before you decide you can't. And try saying sorry, I think it might be a good idea."
"Look, if it - if it weren't for the violence restriction I would have gone full Thing on everyone here, long ago. Fire and the whole *urp* the whole damn deal." Rick blinked once aor twice then refocused on Blue. "All I'm saying is... don't touch me."
Morty stared up at Rick. Seeing his usually unflappable grandfather in such a state was offputting, to say the least. "You, uh, you okay there, Rick?" he ventured in the same tone of voice that a professional crisis de-escalator might use against a deranged maniac holding six people hostage, which for all he knew was what Rick would do next; he'd seen him do worse.
"I'm fine, Morty, let's just keep moving." Rick rubbed his elbow protectively. "Caboose, I vote Caboose, okay, is that the last one? Yeah. Good." he added a little too quickly.
It occurred to me that the things meant to be working against us could deliberately give bad advice to that end, but then this one seemed as perpetually clueless as his host was, and anyway I could just not bite if it smelled funny. "You think I need to be more explicit on the regrets front?" I idly loaded the empty chamber. "...I guess I should vote you if the rest caught you already but it feels rude to cut you off. If you're not stalling, anyway."
Classical zone, challenge arena / News channel
"Five years? Spartan four? Gen two armor?" Eight Four muttered, seeming to be thinking. "Well, 'sir', I don't think our ranks actually mean too much here" the spartan started, with audible air quotes around sir, "but you've got newer gear, newer augments, and more context for what to wish for... Plus I've never heard of you, so if you're a commander now, you must've risen rank pretty fast; that better mean you're pretty good, too. So sure, let's give it a shot."
Eight Four stood up and moved closer to the barrier, while in the meantime, Silanea gave Rex a nod and let him lean on her for support. "Rex, it's okay to admit that you need help; you don't have to do everything yourself" Silanea said gently.
Brother Marcus looked at Two. "I am merely thinking ahead in the off chance that that soldier isn't the last fake" Brother Marcus said in a dry tone. "Which we would find out already if everyone would stop stalling on the vote" the space marine continued, in a very unsubtle hint.
"Sorry, sorry; I just wanted to make sure the old man was alright" Blue said, holding his hands up. "Alright, I vote for-"
"Hey, excuse me!" Eight Four called out from the barrier. "Sorry, I just want to ask something. Can I switch out, and let her take my place?!" the spartan asked towards the Female changeling, pointing to Sarah.
"Hmm, an unexpected request... But it is interesting, so alright, granted" the Female changeling replied.
"Cool" Eight Four muttered, turning back to Sarah. "I don't know what you're going to be fighting down there, but the wish only goes to whoever gets the finishing blow on it, so everyone else down there might not be too friendly... Watch out for the big guy in blue armor; he's probably the most dangerous in there" the spartan explained, pointing to Brother Marcus.
"... Uh, okay then? I vote for that guy" Blue stated in the meantime, pointing to Caboose. The other Home Sweet Home members, Sir Redring, and Silanea quickly followed suit.
"Alright, that is enough votes to end the round, and fortunately for you all, Caboose was the last fake. We will now move on to the second and final phase of the challenge..." the Female changeling said, somewhat ominously. Simultaneously, she blurred and vanished, Caboose blurred and was back to his normal self, Sarah, Makoto, Kelsey, and Trent all vanished from the audience and reappeared back in the arena, as their normal selves, no longer subject to the day's conditions, and lastly, the source-less light that was illuminating the arena went away, subjecting them all to the dim darkness of just the starlight from above.
"If any of you rely on electricity, stay away from me" Thomas said, illuminating the tip of his wand. "I don't want to mess you up by accident" the young wizard added, glancing around.
"Uh, can anyone spare me a weapon?" Trent asked awkwardly.
"Someone else is here" Brother Marcus then stated firmly, since he could still see fine despite the conditions.
There was the sound of muffled breathing coming from one side of the arena, like it was coming heavily through a helmet. Then, metal sliding against metal as a glowing red sword was drawn, faintly illuminating a tall figure in black, medieval armor. He swept his long cape aside as the source-less light returned, letting everyone see normally again.
Known to hate sand
On the news channel station, the announcers were finally coming back on. "Looks like the challenge is finally moving to the fun part folks, and they're up against- holy shit that's Darth Vader!" Jeff's voice said.
"I wonder what sort of tactics they'll use to-" Adam's voice was starting, but then Kelsey just started to charge straight at the sith lord, screaming angrily while the two chainaxes revved to life loudly. "Or not, never mind" Adam's voice concluded.
Colosseum Stands to Arena- This Guy Looks Like a Final Boss
Makoto was mostly trying to focus on keeping her emotions in check for the rest of the day, idly listening to the multiple conversations going on. It was all starting to become a mesh of noise though, but she was blaming that on her heightened sense of hearing. Somehow, this Commander Palmer switched with Eight-Four though by pulling rank on him. Everyone finally voted the fake Caboose out, and the second part of the challenge started before she could even react to it. Makoto was back in the arena and completely human again, and when the fake lights went out, she near instantly gained her Phantom Thief outfit as she raised her guard for the inevitable fight. Definitely not because the darkness intimidated her. There were still stars, at least. Thomas lit the end of his wand, and then Brother Marcus said that they weren't alone.
She could hear someone or something breathing, and then see the glow of a sword as it was drawn. It reminded her too much of Akechi for her liking, but she recognized the weapon's design well enough. Not something that you blocked normally. The only way she could describe the man that was to be their opponent was that he was a samurai, in all black armor. The fake lights returned with a dramatic sweep of his cape. Kelsey immediately charged at the swordsman without much thought. If she had a plan besides try to cut him in half, it wasn't very evident from this position. Makoto tore her mask off and summoned her motorcycle beneath her, though she hesitated for a short moment on where to go.
It'd be so easy to go chasing after Kelsey to try and get the first hit. She could probably get there before her if she wanted to, but... this man had to be powerful if he was the only obstacle they had, right? It wasn't smart to go in first with no idea of what he was capable of. Instead, she changed directions and drove over to where Rex and Silanea were. Anat glowed slightly, and she used Marakukaja to cover both of them, Two, and herself in defensive magic. She then pulled out her revolver and fired at the enemy, though it was mostly as a test to see how he'd handle it.

"Stalling? But I'm already out of ti-" the changeling said before blurring. "Has anyone ever told you that you look like Fred Jones?" the now real soldier asked Lewis. "Oh wow it got dark around here!"
Unlike the other people who seemed to have a hard time reconciling their memories from being a changeling, Caboose simply assimilated them without an issue. Probably had something to do with not being entirely sure that they weren't normal memories.
Out of the shadows emerged a familiar figure, albeit in different armor. Still, the laser sword left no doubt as to the man's true identity. "Oh cool, it's Darth Vader. I guess Disney's really running out of ideas if they're bringing him back," he said with complete seriousness. The lights turned on with dramatic timing.
Still, it was just one man with armor and midichlorian powered magic. Even if they didn't have a giant pit to have him fall in or something, surely they'd be able to deal. "Freckles, are you ready? This one's for Yuna, so let's make sure it counts!"
And with that the soldier was off, circling around the arena while shooting bullets at the man from a different angle than directly in front of the boss.
Finally, the challenge was over, Caboose really was the last (and weirder than the rest) fake. It took a while for people to start finally voting for him, more specifically it took longer than he would have liked. Now onto the next part of the challenge.
As the lights turned off, the challengers could make out Genji's outline with glowing lines on his body. "Everyone be careful! We do not know when will the boss strike..."
Genji's warning was interrupted by heavy breathing from the shadows, as the dark figure stepped out, Caboose said something about him being some Darth Vader person. He narrowed his eyes before letting loose three deadly stars at the black cad figure and charging it alongside Kelsey, with the intention of slashing him with a Swift Strike and then retreating.
"Does anyone know what he can do?!" He asked/screamed to the group as he charged towards the Sith Lord.
