Colosseum Arena, School Outfit- Another Liar Revealed
"That's true, he did reference the alien machines..." Makoto said, taking Brother Marcus's words into account. She hesitated, and then created a second list and put Sir Redring, Lewis, Genji, and Yuna on it. These were the maybes of the group. After Lewis commented on Sir Redring's claim, she put him on the innocent list. The heroic octopus honestly came off as very much the real thing.
Thomas and Eight Four finished their test, and Makoto followed the group to observe the answers. The correct name was in fact the Thunder Child, and Eight Four had written that the ship was a lie. Definitely a fake then.
"...I also vote for Eight Four," Makoto said, before going back to studying the names on her list. The number of people that weren't on it were getting smaller and smaller. They were running out of options and had no idea how many more changelings they needed to catch...
Yuna Yuki (Mafiarena) - Yuki Yuna Is A City Knight
Yuna was thoroughly pleased with the results of the talk. Not only had she successfully managed to motivate Ben again, but she had also gotten herself officially inducted as a City Knight! Two birds with one stone! Of course, this being Yuna, she did not let the opportunity to fool around a little go to waste.
"I shall fulfill my duties with honor and courage," she immediately promised, kneeling down in front of her younger leader in the most knightly fashion she could muster. "You will not be disappointed, Captain."
She wasn't actually sure that knights had captains or something else, but she figured she may as well roll with it.
The game itself seemed to be doing quite well. Yet another changeling had been discovered and was swiftly being voted into oblivion. They were making some really good progress! At that rate they'd win the wish no problem, and they'd still have time to hang out or something! Of course, Yuna herself had did not want to be left behind with all the voting, so she quickly raised her hand and made her intentions known.
"Yeah, I'll vote for him too."
Colosseum — Another one bites the dust
Seeing as the suspect in question treated the idea of the militia building a ship so quickly as ludicrous, it was clear he was a copy.
"Of course, they had a lot help" Rex proudly said, pointing at himself and then at Makoto. That maybe wasn't public knowledge so he wanted to set the record straight for everyone that wasn't in the know. And maybe also remind the militia that the both of them couldn't be relied on and promptly forgotten if they weren't needed anymore. Especially not Makoto.
"Well, I think that's as obvious as you could get. I'm gonna vote for that guy"
The presence of changelings outside the stadium seemed to be as likely as any of the other... species everyone else was. It was pointless to consider it right now and it was frankly too scary to think about as well. But at least a lot of people here could be definitely be counted as the real deal. Most recently Redring with his knowledge of Cole Jr. and friends, and Yuna acting as her usual over the top self.
"What even happened with you two back there?"
Caboose looked at Rean and Hercule's exchange. "Yeah, that was pretty fun. We should do it again!" the soldier suggested eagerly. "And we can invite a lot of people too! Like Two and Makoto and Rex and... other people too!" He seemed quite pleased by the idea. Getting all his friends together in one place for a movie party would be fun.
Still, there was something a bit wrong here. They were trying to figure out a lot of things, but no one had figured anything out about Yuna and that was weird. Why had no one asked her anything except where she was from? Even Caboose would have been able to guess she was Japanese, so that didn't really count even.
"Freckles, I am thinking of something!" he told his gun quite loudly, before lapsing into hushed whispers with the weapon.
"Yes, I have been listening and remember everything that has occurred," the gun told him finally.
"Good, then help me out!" Caboose told his weapon, hoping the extra head might make him more useful.
With that said, the soldier walked over to Yuna with his gun pointed at the ground. "Yes, um, hello Yuna... Well, it looked like you had a nice speech and I wish I could hear it but also I think you might not be real?" he blurted out, not sounding very sure himself. "Like, I'm kind of worried because I don't want you to be but you might be..."
He stood there awkwardly for a few seconds, not saying anything. He fidgeted a bit, turning his head down to look at Freckles. "That was your cue, Freckles!" he hissed, presumably thinking that the loud whisper wouldn't be heard.
"Yuna has not proven herself to be real in any way shape or form," the weapon said flatly. "She was asked a question that did not reveal anything. She asked a question about where she met Silanea. The answer was deemed acceptable. That does not prove she knew the answer. The designation of target Yuna is uncertain."
Caboose patted his weapon affectionately. "Yeah, um, what he said. I don't want you to be fake so... look, what's your second favorite color? I know you told me once, so tell it to me again." That was a blatant falsehood, and the question wouldn't help if it was real anyways, but Caboose wasn't being driven by logic. At the very least, he had brought up a point that Yuna hadn't been legitimately proven innocent.
"What?" Freckles asked flatly in reaction to how Caboose was following up on this possibility.
Classical zone, challenge arena
"There is no need for you all to vote. It was already settled once Caboose had set his vote" Miss Tairee said, as Eight Four melted into the orange goo much like Kelsey had. The changeling vanished with a blur, and Eight Four the child in an imitation of his armor appeared up in the stands with Kelsey and Trent. "Unfortunately, he still was not the last fake. So, we move on to another round" the librarian added.
"Would you all please try a bit harder to not accidentally inform the fakes of things they can use to pretend to be us?" Brother Marcus said in a very annoyed tone as he glanced over the rest of the contestants. "Because now, we have a problem" the space marine pointed out firmly.
Overhearing Caboose's statement to Yuna, Silanea turned their way, slithering over a bit while trying to not stray too far from Rex. "You were both there in my mind" Silanea mentioned, looking back and forth between Caboose and Yuna. "We can go over some questions about that with each other, to check that all three of us are really us" the lamia suggested.

lewis?, colosseum, i guess we have to breach the uncomfortable subject
I stopped to jot things down again after pointing at the guy, needing a moment to think up everything that should be in there. We were on Yuna now...? Huh...I guess the wording for her question was a little vague. I didn't really, want to have more mind stuff questions, but it was the first thing Silanea suggested asking about, so.
"...A lot of the people who were there are here. Have her...list off all the ones who helped—no," (I glanced away) "the ones who were there for the last part of that, maybe?"

Colosseum Arena, School Outfit- Too Many Innocents
Rex decided to share with the whole arena that he amd Makoto helped construct the Thunder Child, and she sighed as the Eight Four clone melted into goo and disappeared. A confirmed fake, then.
"He's right about not sharing unnecessary details, Makoto said. "Rex, you need to be more careful, I'm serious. The list of innocent people I've been working on is getting longer, but we don't have much of a lead right now..." She added Hercules to it and tucked her phone away again to cross her arms. "It's just Rean and Lewis now." Caboose brought up a very interesting point, or at least his gun did. Yuna hadn't directly answered a question to prove her innocence. Was she really a clone though? She'd wait to see what Yuna said before deciding.
Honestly, Two didn't feel needed in this situation. Everyone seemed perfectly capable of sorting this out, her suggestions turned out superfluous or just unneeded altogether. It was a little disheartening, but she tried not to think too much about it. They were one step closer to uncovering all doppelgangers and moving on to the second round of the challenge. A chance to fix Yuna's world would present itself.
There wasn't even a point voting for Eighty Four when eight votes were cast in a matter of a second, followed by a few more to cinch it. Caboose brought up something interesting however. "...Yuna is a fake? Surely not." She shook her head. "Also, when we arrived at Silanea's mindscape, I think some people were missing already, having been sent back. It might be hard to list all of those that were there."
It was the kind of dirty trick that Two could see The Writer try out; make the one they were fighting for a doppelganger, but... she didn't seem all that different than her usual self. Neither did the previous two fakes, but they fell apart after some incredibly obvious questions...
“Yeah, you got it." Rean nodded, affirming the question. Then Caboose pointed out that Yuna hadn’t directly vetted herself.
Yuna, a fake? Rean thought, looking at the magical girl. But she was acting as cheerful as usual! Then again, how well did he really know anyone here?
Then Makoto noted that Rean and Lewis were left in her list.
“...Wait, I was on your list?” Rean asked, looking puzzled. "But I answered Rex’s question about his brother correctly. Right, Rex?”
Colosseum — Persona non grata
"Excuse me if I'm not listening to the guy that knocked me out back at the hospital"
Makoto's attitude proved, however, that this was no laughing matter.
"Sorry. I thought you deserved the credit" he admitted. Maybe he had jumped the gun a little by revealing more details about the city for any doppelganger to hear but he felt it was for a good cause. Makoto could always use a confidence boost, especially in such a stressing situation.
Besides, the list of suspects was getting shorter by the minute. Rean and Lewis were the only ones left and the former had already confirmed his knowledge of Day 20's call. Caboose thought Yuna was still a little suspicious, which was ludicrous but at least he was trying. Silanea joined the two to corroborate each other's identity so that left Rex free to handle the revenant.
"Yeah, you're right. So that only leaves Lewis" he turned to look at him, his disgist was clear "Before I waste my breath, are you actually going to answer questions?"
Colosseum Arena, School Outfit- Let The Interrogations Begin
"It's fine, I...I appreciate it," she said, her expression softening. It was nice that Rex wanted people to know what she did, but now probably wasn't a great time for it. Silanea was questioning Caboose alongside everyone that had been involved in this "mind game" thing, though Makoto didn't see why when Caboose had just proven himself.
"Caboose just said that he recalled Day 21 though, I think he's real..." Makoto said, as Rean protested not being on her list. Thinking back on it, he was right. "Oh, right, my apologies." Makoto added Rean to the list and turned to Lewis. Rex had the same idea as her, it seemed. "Yes, it'd be helpful if you gave us answers that were as straight as possible," she said to Lewis.

lewis?, colosseum, you're just salty
For a moment I'd been looking at the lamia for confirmation that this was an intelligent idea, until apparently no actually it was my turn to be grilled. "Did I...not do that?" I looked between the young couple in confusion. Wait, I guess technically I hadn't (for lack of being asked things), I'd just rattled off without prompting things that had happened here that no one had mentioned prior, so it still didn't make sense to question me. Actually, "Wait, didn't you say you wanted to vote me out whether or not I was real like, two seconds into this...?" I pointed out to Rex, a lot less confrontationally than the actual words would suggest. Not that neither of them had every reason to be mad, but weren't we just getting mad at Ben for making judgment calls based on spite five minutes ago...?
I gave Two a glance. "Well yeah, that's why I specified the last fight, that's when you got there. I was there for the whole thing, I know the ones you missed." A beat. "...Actually, why don't I just rattle those off if we're gonna pry me. Morty got knifed out on the first round of the midboss, Eve got sent back between fights or something, and Cole got blasted out of the first round of the last fight. In fact, he's the one who got you to go in, you said as much when you got there. Everyone else made it to the end."
Ben furrowed his brow as Caboose started trying to see if Yuna was fake. The idea of Yuna being fake hadn't even crossed Ben's mind, and after that pep talk that she had given him, he wasn't inclined to start tossing accusations her way any time soon.
"What are you talking about?" Ben asked incredulously. "Of course she's real!" He turned towards the new City Knight and crossed his arms. "We're gonna fix her world from whatever... thing she said messed it up!" he insisted. He blinked, turning more towards Yuna.
"Uh, what'd you say messed it up again?" he continued.
Yuna Yuki (Arena) - A Moment Of Weakness
"Eh, not much," Yuna replied to Rex with a wave of her hand. "We just had a little talk. He'll try not to get into more fights for now. Right Ben?"
Coincidentally, Caboose (or rather, Caboose's gun) proceeded to point out the fact that she hadn't actually said anything to prove herself to be real, which was... actually true. All she'd said was that she was from Japan (which a clone would probably know anyway seeing that Genji guessed from her name alone) and she asked Silanea a question that, while it proved that Silanea was not a clone, didn't really prove anything about Yuna herself. Ben seemed a little upset about the confrontation, and Caboose went on to ask... the weirdest question she had ever heard.
"Uhm... I don't have a second favorite color, Caboose," the young girl answered in turn. "Also... isn't this question a bit silly? No one actually knew the answer to that one, and a clone maybe would know that..."
Silanea and Lewis did seem to have better ideas, but Caboose himself was already answering those... and Lewis too. Which left her with... well, not much to work with, actually. Ben did ask another question, but... it wasn't a pleasant one to answer.
"It's kind of a long story," the girl replied, her enthusiasm fading away by the second. "My friends sort of found out that everyone had been lied to and some horrible things were going on, so... my best friend went out beyond the barrier that protected humanity and then... she... she..."
And that was the point where she started crying.
"Alright, Redring," said Morty as he stared at the cephalopod and trying to keep his eyes level with his quarry's bulging and slightly watery ones, "day... uh... eight, uh, eighteen, I think? No, nineteen. We were, uh, y-y'know, running away from, you know, aliens, and, uh, we saved you from them... what did they look like, huh? Huh?" said Morty, whose ability to conduct effective and efficient interrogations still had not improved since that day. "Because, if you don't answer the question, man, I mean, I'll let Rick over here take over, and, lemme tell you, you, uh, you don't wanna-"
"Morty, this isn't *urp* fuckin'... Dragnet here," said Rick, rolling his eyes. "Look, just answer the question so we can all get back to our lives, okay?"
As soon as Yuna started losing her enthusiasm, Ben began to lose his. Before he even knew what was going on, Yuna had started crying. He winced.
"Oh geez... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to— I just, I only wanted to... c'mon, please don't cry!" he insisted, sounding worried and pained. He looked at the other nearby City Knights.
"Uh... can you guys help me calm her down? I didn't mean to make her cry...!" He looked back towards Yuna and, caught off guard, wrapped his arms around her. "It's okay... it's okay... you don't have to talk about it... please don't cry..."
"Well that..." the soldier began to respond to Silanea, before a bunch of people started looking and talking about him like he was crazy for worrying about Yuna. "What? No... this was just... Come on..." Caboose sputtered out, trying to defend himself from what he saw as being dismissed as stupid. "There was... Oh..."
Yuna's reaction to Ben's offhand question made him rethink his stance. "Guess I wasn't being very smart..." he said sadly, looking blankly at the magical girl crying. "I... I guess we don't need that anymore, snake lady," the soldier told Silanea dully. "She's real, I know it."
"Look, Yuna, it is OK!" he began, shifting immediately to trying to reassure the sad girl. "Because we... We are going to fix it! That is why we are here and we have already done so much! No crying until the end!" It was unfortunate that the soldier wasn't actually good at comforting people. Still, he was doing his best. A few tears were all it took to sway him, it seemed.
Time didn't stop while they were all having a moment, though. "And you two, stop picking on Lewis! What did he ever do to you?!" he called out as an afterthought.
I flinched in pain. "Caboose please don't"
Colosseum Arena, School Outfit- Tell the Class
"I'm trying to be thorough," Makoto explained, rolling her eyes. "Like I said, we're running out of suspects." After listening to Lewis spill some more information that she barely understood the context of, she reluctantly placed him on her list too. "He's probably telling the truth," she said to Rex, before noticing that Yuna was now... crying over the wish she wanted to make? Caboose claimed they were "picking on" Lewis, which was silly.
"What do you mean, what did he do to us? It's only fair that we examine everyone right? He was acting flaky earlier." She turned back to Lewis, her expression almost flat as she watched his reaction. "Unless....you'd like to share what you did with everyone here?"
"Then he should have no problem answering questions about it" Silanea said to Makoto, looking thoughtful, and maybe a little suspicious. "Only the fakes would have some problem with answering questions. That's how we found the first two" the lamia added pointedly.
"She is correct" Brother Marcus stated; it was hard to say where exactly he was looking given the helmet, but it was pointed in the direction of Rex and Makoto. "As I said, that last doppelganger was the only remaining person to have not made any mention of the events between their arrival to the city and now; we know from the first that the fakes are aware of what the person had been doing before arriving to the city, but not after" the space marine explained.
"Therefore, since at least one of us is still a fake, that means they have managed to acquire enough information from you people talking aloud to fill in what they did not previously know" Brother Marcus then elaborated, to make sure nobody had missed out on what he was talking about before.
"So, at the start of this, when we grouped up... We shouldn't have done that" John said, looking over at Makoto with a disapproving look.
"Hey, it's not like we knew what the fakes did and didn't know at the time" Blue commented, seemingly in Makoto's defense.
"... But, de fakes deed" Hartwig added in.
Meanwhile, Sir Redring turned his attention to Rick and Morty. "Hm, what? Well now, as I recall young man, it was I who came to your aid! There was a large brute bearing a red armor with blades like claws built into its gauntlets!" Sir Redring said, still bombastic.
lewis?, colosseum, a bad time to fail your will roll
"Yuna?" I mean, I guess this was to be expected from what the wish was supposed to be...we probably weren't supposed to be making physical contact given the clones could exchange information that way but by the time I reminded myself of that I'd already patted her by mistake. Well, she was probably real at least, so it wasn't such an issue.
Wait...we were having me list off...everything? ...I didn't feel good about the idea, but, not doing that would read as suspect (but you already cleared yourself several times), and if it had to be done...it wasn't like I could sweep it all under the rug anyway..."I-I..." I tried to get the words out but just. Choked. Damn it, no. Just...do it.
Making her way through the maze of streets, she finally arrived at the Library. It was just as the troll described: large, round and very ornate. Picking up any composure she might have left on the way, Sarah pushed open the door in front of her and made her way inside.
"...oh, yes! That is exactly how it happened." Two nodded in agreement. Her memory about the events at Silanea's mindscape were fuzzier than she would have liked, but now that she jogged her brain some, it was Cole who sent her, Yuna and Caboose as cavalry to aid the party inside. That seemed like a solid indicator of Lewis's innocence, but if so... that only left...
Yuna's recount of the tragedy of her world omitted names; which made some sense since it was likely only a few people would recognize them, but it didn't paint her in a positive light either. Then she started crying, and Two's heart felt like it shattered into multiple tiny pieces. "Oh no... Yuna, it's okay..." She said reassuringly, approaching her and Ben. She moved down on her knees behind her pink friend to deliver a hug to not obstruct Ben's, holding Yuna securely.
"It's alright. We don't have to talk about that." She whispered into her hair. "Hey... once this is all over, I promise to make you a big bowl of crab soup, just like the one we ate at the campfire." It was a pointed lie - the soup was different back then - but one Two had to say to make absolutely sure they were not being deceived. "You and the others will be able to help yourselves to it all you want." She smiled though her smile was obscured from others as she provided Yuna warmth.
At this time of night, the lobby of the library was no longer very crowded, and most of the civilians there were just trying to rest, or were watching the goings on at the colosseum on flat screen televisions; however these televisions didn't seem to be audible unless one were to move to fairly close proximity to them, leaving the library as a whole quiet as usual. Most of the copies of Miss Tairee were hanging out with each other around the central desks, enjoying some coffee.
Sarah's arrival didn't go completely unnoticed however, as one fairly average looking man who was watching one of the screens glanced over at her, then resumed watching the screen.
He then looked at Sarah again a second later. "Hey, you. You got the age down thing?" the man asked, noting her child costume version of armor. "That looks just like what one of the contestants has" the man added, pointing to part of the screen he was watching. In the Roman style colosseum visible in the camera view, off to one side in a separated part of the spectator seating area was indeed what also looked like a child wearing a sort of Spartan costume, much like Sarah currently was. The difference was that it looked like it was based on the generation 1, mark V CQB model.

"Huh? I was saying I trust Yuna, not that I can't answer anything," Caboose said to Silanea, confusion evident in his tone. "I can tell you some stuff." He glanced at Makoto for a bit, scrutinizing her. What was she doing, trying to stop a perfectly innocent question?
Still, he could prove he was in the mindscape. "Well, there were a lot of people there. Me, Rex, that old guy, Yuna, Two... everyone said those already... Wait, I remember the others!" he exclaimed after a few moments. "There was a ghost who looked a lot like if Fred Jones was a ghost, a very spooky skeleton with a big smile, a blonde robot... um, there was one other person... oh yeah, a blonde doctor who was probably gay! I'm not so good with names, but I remember them."
"And also there was like a smaller snake and a bunch of shadow people who looked kind of scary," the soldier concluded. Then he looked at Lewis. "Wait, I don't remember him! There wasn't a human Fred Jones like person there! But he says he was there!" He sounded like he thought this was a grand revelation.
