Grimlock wasn't just an advanced robot, he was from another planet. Interesting.

"So you are an alien robot like Legion? Who built you?"

Cap'n Melville's Seafood Shack

Ben chewed on a fish stick and listened to her story. As she told it, his eyes widened in surprise. Her dad took over the world? That didn't sound good. He kept listening. When she mentioned the Valsione, a smile crept to his face.

"Your other form is a giant robot in your world? That's awesome!" Ben exclaimed, with a grin on his face. "You sound like you've been through a lot. My world's pretty normal. Well, except for all the aliens." He held up the Omnitrix to show it to her. The display was now green, as the Omnitrix was off cooldown.

"This is the Omnitrix. It fell from the sky while I was on a camping trip with my cousin and my grandpa. It attached to my wrist and now I can't take it off. But it lets me turn into aliens! There's this evil squid-faced conqueror guy called Vilgax, and he wants to take the Omnitrix from me so he can take over the universe! But I can't let him do that!"

Ben smirked, taking another bite of a fish stick dipped in tartar sauce and swallowing. "And he can't take it while it's here, can he? So I guess it's good that I came here, now the Omnitrix is safe!"

Balcony

Caro decided to let the matter of Sans' pranking go for now. She had more pressing matters to discuss it. Maybe she could get some answer from him about this strange city. " Yeah, we only just arrived here. Thought I seriously don't get how we got here in the first place! One second I was in the middle of a forest and then next thing I knew, we were atop this balcony," She looked around the place once more, only to get just as confused as before, " I'm pretty that I'm not even in the same world anymore. Then there is the fact that the other side of this balcony leads pretty much to nowhere. And I'm also sure that I have never seen someone like you before. So, do you know what is going on around here?"

Cole tilted his head. "I like being able to feel the hurts. It...aches. It always does. But then I get to sort out how to help people best, how to ease their pain." He started to rock himself where he sat. "My friends worry about me. They say it isn't good for me to be in pain all the time. But I don't know how else to be. Not being able to hear the hurts, it's like a part of me is excised, expelled, expulsed. Like not seeing, or touching, or smelling. It is part of me. I don't know what it is not to feel the hurts of others, so it cannot bother me."

He looked around a bit, then back at her. "If you chose otherwise...is that...hmm." Cole sighed softly. "I wouldn't know." He looked down, reaching up to push back his hat. "If you ever need help, I...might not know how by myself. But you could always ask me for anything. I always like to help." He offered a timid little smile to her, lowering his gaze to hide under his hat again.

Balcony - cellphones make everything easier

"i actually arrived here just today as well" Sans began his explanation, then taking a look around "one of the veterans here told me that apparently we were brought from our homes to this place because some reality warper is looking for inspiration for a book or something. the city and/or the people in it seem to change every day too, for example..." he then took his cellphone out and went into the camera mode, using the front view feature to show Caro her current body "i'm willing to bet that you normally look younger than that."

There was a brief moment of silence afterwards as Sans' eyes shifted a little bit as he began to reconsider his wording.

"not that i think you look old the way you are right now or anything." he added.

Cap'n Melville's Seafood Shack

Lune rubbed her head in embarrassment. She didn’t expect Ben to compliment her all of a sudden. “T-thanks, Ben…”

Lune watched as Ben proudly displayed the Omnitrix and was amazed. According to Ben, he found it on a camping trip with his cousin and grandfather. The device lets him change into aliens, so the evil overlord Vilgax was after it. He probably wanted to take over the universe or something clichéd like that. And since Ben was here, he can’t go after it.

“Yeah… I think Vilgax is probably throwing a fit over how he can’t find it.”

Caro looked really indignant as she heard the first part if Sans' explanation. " So someone is causing dimensional distortions and bring people from their homeworlds to here, all for their own gain? That's breaking so many TSAB laws that I can't even begin to tell you."

And then Sans made a comment about her looking older and showed an image of what she apparently looked like now.

She did look somewhat different. Her hair was definitely much longer than she remember it ever have been. Her body also seemed to have grown somewhat, though not by much. She only looked a few inches taller than she normally was. Thankfully, it seemed that her summoner robes had been changed as well to fit with the changes to her body.

" So you're saying that this place is somehow messing around with our bodies and making us look like we are older than we actually are?" She asked, and then paused, seemingly in deep thought, before continuing, " I'm only eleven years old, but I don't think I have grown all that much. I don't think that I look much taller than usual, for example."

And then she looked at Fried again and remembered how he had suddenly turned into his adult form. It all made much more sense now. " Seems like Fried has been affected by it too, then. He's normally supposed to be much smaller than that unless I allow him to be on the form he's right now. I was wondering what could have caused that, which is you found me in that horrible state. Anyway, if there are more people that got sent to this place like we were, I think I should probably go meet them and see what we can do this situation. So could please show us the way to where they're?"

Ben smiled and nodded. "Don't mention it, Lune. I bet you're an awesome hero in your world." He grinned and bit into another fish stick, chewing and then swallowing. "Yeah, he's probably really mad. I can imagine old Squidface now," he laughed. He then assumed a broad-shouldered posture, with a mock-angry expression on his face. "Where is my Omnitrix?!" he growled, mocking Vilgax in an imitation of his deep, growling voice. "Ben Tennyson has foiled me again!" He leaned back in his chair and laughed harder.

Walking To Library

Art was neat. Riley didn't draw much nowadays, but she was quite the artist when she was a little girl. Papers, crayons, colors - for a while she just couldn't get enough. But Sadness had never heard of a painting coming to life. Their worlds must have been very different, because Sadness didn't...know...

Or did she? A memory suddenly jumped to the forefront of her mind. "Wait! That sounds familiar. My girl had a friend, um, an imaginary friend -" Emotions didn't forget, but for some reason Sadness had to rack her brain for the name. "Bing Bong! He was this elephant...cat...cotton candy...dolphin thing, with a bowler hat, and Joy and I met him once. Riley created him to be her friend, and she always drew him on pieces of paper. I - I think that's kind of like you, so I guess I've met a drawing person before...?"

"I wonder what happened to him," Sadness remarked as an afterthought. Caught up in her remembrance and in Mary's story, she barely noticed the library.

Further disappointment, in the library

"I'm sorry, but any messages going in or out are not currently permitted. You can try to appeal for an exception" Miss Tairee said to Zelda apologetically, motioning to the suggestion box. "But it is... Unlikely" she admitted, equally apologetic.

Miss Tairee checked something else on her laptop again, then muttered a quick, "um, sorry if you'll just excuse me for a moment," to Zelda, and walked over to Rex. "Sorry to interrupt; Rex, right? You're like a powerful, do-good hero type, right? And you've been making friends with others from what I've seen the last few days" she started off, pausing for a moment to think of how to word this.

"I was hoping to tell you all about something important before this day was over. I know you don't have much reason to like me or trust me, but could you do me the favor of relaying it to your friends?" Miss Tairee asked sincerely, folding her hands together and giving Rex the classic 'begging puppy dog eyes' look, which fit her current child self.

You've got mail, with Koishi and Cole

Behind the telepath and former telepath, there was an electronics store with a big stack of televisions on the other side of a big glass window, silently playing out scenes both mundane and bizarre from shows across various universes. The largest television suddenly went to a blank white screen though, and text appeared on it; it was a simple message addressed to Koishi, saying that she had a pending message at the library.

Having an eggcellent date totally platonic meal, with Ben and Lune

One of the windows nearby Ben and Lune was abruptly splattered with raw egg and bits of eggshell, sounding out a loud WHAP! that startled the rest of the patrons in the restaurant. Outside, a pair of young, teenage boys each with cartons of eggs held under one arm were laughing hysterically, and were quick to hurry down the road and chuck another egg at another storefront window. Both boys had a mark on their right t-shirt sleeve: a red, diagonal line. Some of the other people in the restaurant muttered annoyances and colorful remarks, but none of them got up to do anything about it.

Captain Melville's Seafood Shack

Ranma stepped into the seafood restaurant with an surlier face than yesterday, a sure sign of her temper having long ago reaching its boiling point. The whole mass murderer, dragon, getting lost, and now being forced into an aged up version of her body had did a combination of sucker punches on the girl's psyche, causing her a huge headache even as it laughed at her being a chaos magnet. Though she was thankful for not being turned into a child, she was still unused to the fact that her limbs were longer than they should be as well as some added weight to certain areas of the anatomy. Who knew four years of growing could make such a difference.

"It's like the damn age changing mushrooms all over again... Though at least I'm bigger now, I guess." Phrases that young ladies shouldn't say spewed out of her mouth as the dimuitive six year old redhead huffed her way through the restaurant, grabbed a platter full of food items that was at least half as high as her height, and then plopped it down on a nearby table situated next to some of the others she interacted with yesterday though they seemed either older or younger than they should be, just like her. After being separated from the group and having to deal with being lost like she was Ryoga, it dirtied her pride and made it more than a bit awkward to just simply pop into the conversation as it was.

Taking the time to simultaneously calm down, stuff herself with ridiculous amounts of food, and gather information from the surrounding din- Ranma gradually let her stiff shoulders relax once more as the bliss of so much food worked their wonderful healing magics. Nothing was wasted despite the supernatural speed of which organic matter was consumed, bones and shells that were plucked clean of every scrap of meat were laid on dishes that seemed to be be licked spotlessly clean. "Ahhhh... much better..." Calmed down now, the young quirked raised an eyebrow at the literal egging that happened nearby that made her feel even better since it seemed bad luck wasn't purely for her alone.

Balcony - welp, it's back to the library again

"to be more specific, it looks like adults become kids and vice-versa here. i guess i was a bit on the fence because i didn't much if at all." Sans then put his phone back in his pocket and also the whopee-cushion "also, you can't get hurt today, no matter how much you try to. you could try to punch a brick wall with all your strength and you would feel nothing, and neither would the wall." he let out a chuckle.

He then looked around him, the library was a building in the center of the city wasn't it? Getting there shouldn't take very long.

"i can bring you to where some of the other people are, yeah. i know a shortcut." he turned around and took a few steps before looking back to see if Caro was following him "by the way, nice to meet you, Caro."

Library -> Outside

"I see," Zelda said, sounding unsurprised yet sad all the same, "Thank you anyway."

Come to think of it, she definitely wouldn't have any hope of contacting anyone else had she not been spirited away by...whoever was running that place. She doubted that tornado would have gently dropped her off on some random island in the sky, after all, and if even if it did she didn't know of any way to communicate over long distances back home. She just thought that it'd be possible with how this city seemed to be more advanced than Skyloft. Alas, all she had to go on was just a feeling that told her everyone back home was alright. She could only hope that they had a similar feeling about her.

She then turned and sadly trudged out of the library, leaving the others to their conversations.

Koishi returned the smile. "Thanks. That's good to know there's someone to talk to, at least, even in this foreign place."

She leaned back, her hands supporting herself as she looked around for more conversation topics. She looked off at one of the storefronts, with more of those odd glass boxes that she wasn't entirely sure about. Maybe they could try and figure out what those were together? Get both of their minds off of the past and home, and learn something new. She could of sworn that she spotted her name, oddly placed on one of the sets. She got up and walked closer toward it, ignoring Cole for the moment to figure out what it was.

Cole may not have been able to read it from his viewpoint, but he could see Koishi's smile grow exponentially as she looked into the screen. Her eyes seemed to grow to the size of dinner plates as they looked enraptured, and then she turned back to him. "W-Well, I think I may take your offer, Cole," she practically shouted at him, flustered and exuding excitement to the point that she was shaking. "I n-need you to do something, and th-that's excuse my rudeness! I need to do something RIGHT NOW!" She shot past him in a blur, rocketing back into the library's doors and barely missing Zelda in the process.

She skidded to a halt in front of the desk, briefly producing a noise not unlike a tire on pavement as her boots scraped on the fancy tile. In conversation with the librarian already was Rex, and it took every single ounce of willpower Koishi could manifest in order to stop her from trying to pick up and throw the teen and take his spot. She stood there, fidgeting endlessly and tears already welling up in her eyes as she eyed Tairee with the most powerful stare she had ever deployed on a living target.

Sharing gratitude in the library

Miss Tairee let out a breath in relief and let her head down, a genuine smile on it. "Thank you Rex..." Miss Tairee muttered. Then she looked back to him, her expression getting serious. "Listen closely: Things are going to get harder. Not every day is going to be bad, and there will be more days where people can't get hurt like this one. But the second and third days? Those are not the worst of what's coming" she told him, glancing to one of the walls, out the windows to the city beyond.

"What's more, not everyone else here is sitting idle. I've been reviewing some... Surveillance, and groups like you and your friends are forming, and some of these groups are banding together into larger gangs. It isn't a problem right now, but as these gangs get bigger, there could be trouble" Miss Tairee went on, looking back to Rex. "A few people have been trying to organize some sort of militia or police force; something to keep the city from just going into outright chaos, but they haven't made any headway. People who get suddenly kidnapped from their home and brought to a strange dimension aren't exactly jumping at the chance to take up a job that could put them in harm's way intentionally; well, except for you lot it seems... Besides, they don't have any locations to hold up in, or weapons to use... And some people prefer the city having no rules."

Miss Tairee frowned a bit bitterly as she continued. "Of the two significant gangs that are already forming, one is an anarchist organization; they're calling themselves the Ruckus, and identify with one to four intersecting red lines based on rank. All they seem to care about is doing what they want or taking what they want. As of today it's only tomfoolery and pranks, but I'm worried about what they'll start doing once this day's over."

Then the expression shifted to one of slight regret. "The second gang, well they don't really have a name that they've agreed on yet, but they're growing sizable nonetheless. It's a specifically non-humans only gang that's formed in response to the rampages of Brother Marcus and paranoia of xenophobic humans in the city. Right now they just care about defending themselves from any further aggression, but if tempers don't cool down who knows how aggressive they might become towards humans... And as for their insignia..." Miss Tairee trailed off and went back to her laptop, pausing slightly in slight surprise as she noted something on it.

Turning back around with the laptop in hand, she glanced to Koishi. "Sorry miss, I did not realize you were waiting. If you could please just hold on another moment" Miss Tairee said to her, then looked back to her laptop and pressed a few buttons on it. A holographic display popped up, showing a simple, white image: The symbol Brother Marcus had on his shoulder, the upside down Omega, with a circle around it and a line going through it, crossing it out. "I'm sure you can imagine how the space marine is going to feel about this when he sees it painted on a building's door somewhere?" she asked Rex rhetorically. "And these are only the first. I'm sure there will be more gangs formed before this month is over."

With that settled, and while waiting to hear if Rex had any questions, Miss Tairee looked back to her laptop and pressed a few buttons. With a sudden blur in the air, a small note appeared; it remained suspended until Miss Tairee grabbed it a moment later, and handed it to Koishi. "Here you are miss. Sorry about the delay" Miss Tairee mentioned sincerely. It was not a long read.

Miss Koishi:

Sorry, but my assistant does not look at the notes you put in the suggestion box unless you give them to her to read; confidentiality and all that. As for your request, I will not be making any exceptions to the current theme of this day.

However, as my assistant is obligated to help anyone who asks within certain limitations, you can simply ask if she could help you out with your problem.

And like with the note to Miss Tairee got the previous day, at the bottom was a headache inducing small scrawl of text existing in ten dimensions at once; presumably her boss' signature, but Koishi would not be able to make heads or tails of what exactly it said.

Cole looked a little uncomprehendingly at the glass screens and their images, when one in particular seemed to draw Koishi's attention, and she rushed off in a swirl of apologies, leaving him sitting on the ground alone. He tilted his head one way and another, then shifted and rose to his feet with a practiced ease, staring to wring his hands and rock on his feet again as he looked once more at the glass boxes, squinting a little. None of it meant anything to him in any way.

He looked back and forth on the street, stepping backwards and bringing up his hands to his mouth, starting to bite lightly at a fingernail. Most of the emotions around him were better ones than yesterday, children running past playing, cheering and giggling, having a good time. He'd never spent any time around groups of children. There was the odd child here and there in Skyhold as travelers came and went, but never so many as this.

Cole winced, the hand not currently at his mouth going down to press against his stomach a bit. He didn't feel focused enough to find a pain for some reason, and he winced, hunching his shoulders more and ducking under his hat once more. He turned in the direction Koishi had rushed off in, hesitating before turning to trudge in that direction as well, curious to at least see what had drawn her attention so completely.

Library

Garrett listened with interest to what the lizard-like machine had to say. It was impressive; Karras's iron beasts could, at most, mindlessly replay phrases recorded on wax cylinders. They also didn't have anywhere as much grace or intelligence as Grimlock.

"Another planet?... universe? Interesting..." He looked all around, at the library's varied visitors. "That would explain how... exotic some of you people are." He felt better knowing that bizarre beings such as Sonic, the Fastest Thing Alive, were confined to a different universe entirely.

While Grimlock's explanation of his origin reminded Garrett uneasily of the mystical mumbo-jumbo spouted by Karras's creations, it might have very well been true; after all, Garrett saw with his own eyes stone statues brought to life with mystical Glyphs. It wasn't too far-fetched to assume that in a different universe (how exotic this still sounded!) iron and steel could spontaneously begin to live and walk and talk without any need for an inventor.

He listened closely to what Miss Tairee had to say about the situation in the city. It seemed that this place wasn't going to get any proper law enforcement going any time soon... all the better for a thief like him. It also appeared that, even in this strange dimension, it was still human nature to organize themselves into factions. Garrett took careful note of what was being said about them; he might want to make use of their help if necessary... and he'd rather avoid unnecessarily running afoul of some faction, too.

He turned to Miss Tairee. "Is there anywhere in this library where I can find more details about this city's nature?," he asked. The more he knows about this place, the sooner he might find an escape route. "And who's this... Brother Marcus? And what's a space marine?"
