He did slouch off to go do stuff (presumably including improving his lab) by himself after the Queen Bee incident, and didn't show up until the following morning.
But yeah, he's a functioning alcoholic and the show implies that he has a very irregular sleep schedule (see: the many times where he staggers into Morty's room in the middle of the night), so it's not that OOC for him to spend all night working on random stuff while drinking.

Ugh, everything in this illness except for the cough has passed, but the cough seems to be trying to make up for it by being really rough today. I'm having trouble keeping my eyes open anyway on top of feeling bad, so I'm going to get to bed early again because rest sounds wonderful right now.
Tomorrow is a pretty similar early shift; a little bit longer, but all in all I should be online pretty early again.
You are reading this.Had to stay a little later at work than expected, but I'm here now, fully recapped. Gonna make a quick post for the clothing store soon; don't currently have any ideas to post for elsewhere. After that I'm going to take care of a few things and then take a short nap, and sometime later tonight I'll be running out for dinner.
@Son Of Sharknado: Yup, it does that.
@Locoman: I've been thinking about it, mostly while I was in bed waiting to fall asleep; I'd like it if you cut back on the, "Rick upgraded his lab conveniently during a time skip when it has no bearing". I mean, hand waving what he's been doing while you're unable to post for him is one thing, but having him repair a wall, upgrade his table into an automated work bench, and build a nearly-sentient robot all in one alcohol fueled, sleep deprived, hand waved night is ridiculous.
Also it feels a little undercutting for him to be able to do all this at no expense to anything else, you know? (I mean in both using up physical suppliesnote and choosing to take the time doing the upgrading instead of something else he could be doing instead.) At the very least he should be in need of another shopping trip for electronics at this point, I think.

You are reading this.Ah, alright.
This was probably going to be the last time (barring future plot events and stuff) that Rick did a super-major overhaul on his lab anyway; some of that stuff was mostly just to establish that the subplot is more-or-less wrapped up. Assume that, for now, Rick's lab is more or less on par with his canonical garage base.

Oh, I almost forgot. I watched Star Wars yesterday. It was a good movie, I specially liked Han Solo and Chewie, and I expected a few more lightsaber scenes. Overall, it was enjoyable but I felt that I had seen some scenes a million times already.
By Star Wars I mean A New Hope, of course.

@Deis: I see what you did there.
I do plan on going to see the new Star Wars movie, but I'm not sure when yet; maybe after Christmas.
Anyway, I'm heading out for tonight. I'm going to be taking more medicine that also makes me sleepy, so I'm expecting to probably be unconscious for a good deal of time. Since I have the day off I'm going to go ahead and not set an alarm and just hope that the combination of medicine and lots of sleep may finally rid me of this illness.
The point is, I don't really know when I'll be online, but I expect it to be at least some time in the evening.

You are reading this.

Probably.
I'm not sure if it'd be allowed to have it talk or not; perhaps the in-character explanation is that Rick realized that making his robots smart enough to have existential crises impedes their usefulness.
At any rate, Legion will probably either intrigued or offended, either or.
