Some part of me thinks I jumped the gun on it (I mean, isn't dying in under a day of arrival some kinda record?), but at the same time I didn't want to wave away all consequences stemming from a major mistake in foresight by just saying "she dodges it lol", or write multiple posts of having her fall from a great height and die slowly of shock instead of quickly. Someone's gotta take that hit.
I think there was a quote by George R.R. Martin that applies here, but I can't remember it for the life of me.
@wikkit: Dodging it was out of the question anyway; if you'd done that I would've told you you can't.
Like I've mentioned before, I do retain the right as GM to autohit player characters, but I mainly only use it in cases where I feel like avoiding the attack should be downright impossible. (And having the cloud which you are inside of spontaneously combust is one such case.) The difference is whether I state in my post that the attack is "coming towards you" or some other such wording, or state that it outright hits.
Of course my post said nothing about the characters outright dying, so if you could come up with a reasonable justification for your character surviving the attack, then that would be fine.
You are reading this.Just say no to fire!
You'll end up changing height, changing voices and shrinking.
Alright, I gotta get going for tonight now. With an evening shift for tomorrow, it's gonna be later when I'm on than I was tonight. I should have my work schedule for next week once I'm here though.
The battle is reaching a crescendo; one last chance might be all you guys get to kill this dragon.
You are reading this.To be fair my other potential choice involved a magic soul-destroying scythe that runs on The Power of Rock, so...
"Yup. That tasted purple."Hang on, I know exactly what we'll need. I'll be back.
{walks off for a bit, then comes back carrying the Dark Curse}
Alright, who wants to carry the burden of killing the one they love most?
Please do, I've been looking forward to Sans since you brought him up.
That said, Deadpool might break a rule or two due to his whole "aware of the fourth wall" thing and his being pretty much invincible due to his healing factor.

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.

Rex has been awake for 2 days straight (and almost died in the snowstorm) and he's a teenager.
That should explain every mistake.
