Chapter 68 updated. More on Thistle. He tried to protect everyone... from everything. It went sideways, he blamed everyone else, and here we are.
Writing a post-post apocalypse LitRPG on RR. Also fanfic stuff.I mean, that's what makes him such a convincing demon, an actual Mesphistophelesque manipulator rather than an obvious villain. Everything he says is true, and all his advice could be used to better Thistle's life, but it's all 100% geared towards making Thistle abandon his goals and lose to the heroes so the Lion can wreak more havoc.
It's like the old Sympathy for the Devil problem: when Lucifer cries that it's not fair for God to make all the rules, it's easy to agree and cheer and ignore that the goal of the speech to to let Lucifer make all the rules instead.
Does anyone actually read these?Exactly, yeah. The lion showing sympathy for Thistle doesn't necessarily mean anything, given that - as shown - Thistle has zero chance of actually believing it. All it's done is make him more angry, and that means he'll either be drawing on more of the Labyrinth's power (and burning more of his soul) or that he'll be primed to attack when Laius and Marcille arrive - and a dead Thistle can't warn them about what the Lion actually is.
It's been fun.God, poor Marcille. Not only is she the Butt-Monkey, but now we see exactly how her heritage always meant that she could never have the kind of life she wants.
Does anyone actually read these?Less so than posting fake info, for several months he kept on insisting Marcille is a half elf and saying stuff like "look at my beautiful half elf wife" which people found annoying at the time because it felt based off nothing to them. So the retroactive revelation that they were right was, uh, interesting
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysSetting aside the fact that it was actually confirmed in the chapter before this, people picked up on it because she was the only elf in a human school, it was repeatedly stated how weird it was for an elf to be adventuring in a mostly human area, her dream implied that her dad died when she was very young while her mother also looked young, and her desire to equalize races' lifespans very obviously tied into that sort of backstory.
Does anyone actually read these?4chan's problem in this case is that they had one guy insisting that she was a full elf for a year+ despite the whole thread saying that no she's probably half. It's why half the threads are devoted to laughing at that one moron who is trying to cope by insisting that the reveal of Marcille being a half elf makes no sense.

I imagine it's less oxygen and more magic she's breathing, going by what the Canaries were saying about her being sluggish in the upper layers cause of the lower amounts of magic.
