Plus judging by the little anatomical diagram Laius showed of where all her vital organs may be, it could be that its her dragon lungs doing the breathing, not her human lungs. Air can compress, so a smaller airway would not be as limiting a factor for breathing as it would for eating.
Gotta say, the sequence of Laius gently waking Farlyn up then strangling her with a deranged look on his face is one of the most emotional things Kui's drawn.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Yeah, that was messed up in the best way.
It's been fun.Chapter 68 updated. More on Thistle. He tried to protect everyone... from everything. It went sideways, he blamed everyone else, and here we are.
Yup. I can't say I was super thrilled for a flashback chapter, but it looks like things are coming to a head.
It's been fun.Really interesting how the lion's not wrong, even sympathetic, but even still he's hopping to get freed and do demon things. It's just that Thistle is as dangerous as him.
And wow, Marcille is a half elf after all.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.It says something when the malevolent demon out to wreck shit is able to call out someone else's crap and be totally correct.
Disgusted, but not surprisedI mean, that's what makes him such a convincing demon, an actual Mesphistophelesque manipulator rather than an obvious villain. Everything he says is true, and all his advice could be used to better Thistle's life, but it's all 100% geared towards making Thistle abandon his goals and lose to the heroes so the Lion can wreak more havoc.
It's like the old Sympathy for the Devil problem: when Lucifer cries that it's not fair for God to make all the rules, it's easy to agree and cheer and ignore that the goal of the speech to to let Lucifer make all the rules instead.
Exactly, yeah. The lion showing sympathy for Thistle doesn't necessarily mean anything, given that - as shown - Thistle has zero chance of actually believing it. All it's done is make him more angry, and that means he'll either be drawing on more of the Labyrinth's power (and burning more of his soul) or that he'll be primed to attack when Laius and Marcille arrive - and a dead Thistle can't warn them about what the Lion actually is.
It's been fun.Latest chapter. Damn, we're in the endgame now. Also, those cooking recipes were some choice dark comedy.
I am a bit late to chapter 67, but damn this was easily one of the darkest things I've seen in mangas. I am used to people slowly dying, or being forced to kill the ones they love. But slowly killing someone they love is a first I believe... .
Yeah, the latest chapter (69, I think?) is really dark. And we're definitely in the endgame now.
It's been fun.God, poor Marcille. Not only is she the Butt-Monkey, but now we see exactly how her heritage always meant that she could never have the kind of life she wants.
The black comedy is so Meshi. If I'm reading it right, Marcille is paralyzed, not dead.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.That is an option, yeah. A really bad option for her, but still.
It's been fun. After all the baiting by that troll on 4chan the half elf reveal still kind of catches me off guard
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysHuh, was there a troll posting fake information?
It's been fun.Less so than posting fake info, for several months he kept on insisting Marcille is a half elf and saying stuff like "look at my beautiful half elf wife" which people found annoying at the time because it felt based off nothing to them. So the retroactive revelation that they were right was, uh, interesting
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysReally? On other forums I saw, Marcille being half-human was considered to be Tobi=Obito, R+L=J, or Todoroki Dabi levels of obvious.
If it was a popular theory in forums, I had never once seen any concrete meta
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysSetting aside the fact that it was actually confirmed in the chapter before this, people picked up on it because she was the only elf in a human school, it was repeatedly stated how weird it was for an elf to be adventuring in a mostly human area, her dream implied that her dad died when she was very young while her mother also looked young, and her desire to equalize races' lifespans very obviously tied into that sort of backstory.
In retrospect, it does make sense. Which is the best kind of reveal.
It's been fun.4chan's problem in this case is that they had one guy insisting that she was a full elf for a year+ despite the whole thread saying that no she's probably half. It's why half the threads are devoted to laughing at that one moron who is trying to cope by insisting that the reveal of Marcille being a half elf makes no sense.
I need a new sig.Maybe it was just the threads I saw but yeah, the current backpedaling is quite... something
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boys
I imagine it's less oxygen and more magic she's breathing, going by what the Canaries were saying about her being sluggish in the upper layers cause of the lower amounts of magic.
