Chapter 63: How do you eat an immortal monster that bursts into flames whenever it dies? Keep it close to the soulless husks it's not allowed to hurt, of course! And Senshin's cooking method was hilarious.
Writing a post-post apocalypse LitRPG on RR. Also fanfic stuff.Chapter out, and now I must ask: exactly how well known is Monty Python in Japan?
Does anyone actually read these? Not sure, but I do know the killer rabbit was referenced in Dragon's Crown too.
Disgusted, but not surprisedTo the average layperson, probably not that well. But Monty Python and the Holy Grail has become so intrinsically embedded in fantasy pop culture that anybody who is into medieval fantasy/DnD will probably know of it. And considering how many references to classical western mythology, folklore, and DnD Dungeon Meshi has, I'm not surprised at all that Kui tossed in a Holy Grail reference.
Read the extra art book chapters by the author. It's very good and shows a lot of work on what she did to design the characters and how to tell their difference.
Also, for anyone confused about the genders of Mithrun's team, the artbook reveals three of them are female with one of them being a flatchest tomboy.
I don't quite remember if it was ever exactly confirmed that the Winged Lion was a demon to the characters, or if we just learned about it with Kabru. Either way, Laius's desire to live in peace with monsters is grandiose in scope, but it's also new. He's taken to it well, but he was only introduced to the idea a little while ago. Marcille's been holding onto her death-related trauma for years. That's got to be a more enticing target.

It's been fun.Chapter 67 is up. Interesting notes on chimera biology, and for the moment, Farlyn is down.
Writing a post-post apocalypse LitRPG on RR. Also fanfic stuff. That was a really touching chapter, AND it showed just how much storytelling and character Kui can bring into what was largely an entirely silent chapter. It can't have been easy for Laius to do that, nor for Marcille to watch, but it looks likely that we're finally heading into the endgame now.
Man, I don't want to wait two months. Why must Harta run on a 10/12 schedule?!
It's been fun. That was yet another damn good chapter. I do wonder though, if the oxygen for that massive body is only being brought in through Farlyn's human-sized mouth and nose shouldn't she be huffing like a locomotive all day? Eh.
WAIT, next chapter is October? Nooooooooo
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.

That's the thing, though: this is the opinion of two people who have been horribly hurt by dungeons, one of whom is part of an anti-dungeon task force. They're not an unbiased source.
Meanwhile, we've seen how the dungeon provides a home for peaceful people like Senshi, or people like the Orcs who would be rejected from elsewhere. We're seen the love and care that Falin and Laius have for monsters and dungeons. I doubt that the series will end with "society is right, your heroes and all the colorful characters they met are wrong."
Coexistence, balance, and an ecosystem are the main themes here, and I'll bet you anything that the demon in the form of a winged lion will end up just being another part of that.
Does anyone actually read these?
