Hey question, I found this entry on the YMMV page:
- Ship-to-Ship Combat: Laios/Marcille and Marcille/Falin shippers do no get along with, both pointing fingers and accusing the other of being delusional. Marcille/Falin shippers tend to accuse Laios/Marcille fans of being homophobic and lesbophobic due to the astounding amounts of Ho Yay between the two women (not helped by a Vocal Minority of Laios/Marcille fans admitting to shipping it specifically for homophobic reasons). Meanwhile Laios/Marcille shippers accuse Marcille/Falin fans of being biphobicnote or of letting their status as the Fan-Preferred Couple get to their head and that their opposition to Laios/Marcille and various other smaller ships involving Marcille or Falin is motivated by a desire to impose an exclusive monopoly on fandom content.
I never actually seen anyone ship Laios and Marcille (at least from what I've seen), so I want to verify if they do exist (at least having a decent amount like the entry implies).

x2 I do too, since I really like their dynamic together and we know there is some attraction from Laios' side of the equation. But of course, that doesn't mean I don't get what people that ship Marcille and Falin are saying, and I respect their preferences (a similar case with My Hero Academia, in which I prefer Kyoka and Kaminari, but I find Momo and Kyoka cute together).
Really, I don't really talk much about shipping because of reactions like those mentioned in the YMMV, since I think that it's a topic that can get radicalized very easily, in which people can get very aggressive amd/or defensive against people that don't agree with them.
There's definitely substance for it, but that's about the extent of it. I'd put Farcille in a similar position at the end of the canon material we have - there's attraction from both sides of the mix, but given the characters and how they are, there's a ton of character growth and communication that would need to happen post-canon to count as working toward an actual relationship.
The characters in the Touden party especially are well-realized, and that means that some of them have chemistry with each other that could work out in interesting ways, or could progress and then not work out. The Internet is obsessed with which ship "wins" nowadays, largely because that veneer of author-intent respectability protects against (some!) of the puritan brigade.
That said, yeah, it's YMMV. In general I don't think there's much reason to go on those pages.
It's been fun.OMG, a thought suddenly came to my brain: What would happen of the crew made it into the world of Adventure Time?
She/Her | Currently cleaning: N/AFunnily enough, I think Laios at least would be really interested in the monsters and food people, but I think he'd be respectful and not try to actually eat anyone.
It's funny since the actual main character Finn kills a comparative lot of food people, he just doesn't want to eat them.
It's been fun.ANN writer Lynzee Loveridge interviewed Ryoko Kui
during the latter's visit to Anime Expo 2024.

It's not, so I assume they mean the first and second part of the first season.
