Maria curtsied to Rider, a polite smile on her face. Not that he can see her face, anyway.

"It is a pleasure to meet you as well, ginoo. Thank you for your understanding."

She curtsied to Alba as well, although her movements were a bit more forced.

"A pleasure to meet you as well, binibini. And please, Caster is fine. I am a Servant after all, there is no need for formality with me."

She looked around, eyes scanning the many different people in the room. Her eyes hardened slightly.

"Although, I do wonder why we were summoned here. We diwatas are very different from the mortals. They have always been afraid of us, shunned us...why are we helping them now?"

She shook her head. "Forgive me, ginoo. It is a lingering biterness. Huwag mo po akong intindihin."

Huwag mo po akong intindihin: Do not mind me.

"Let us go then" says Scathach as she finishes her meal, cleaning her mouth and standing up to follow her Master.

Rider's expression dimmed slightly as he listened to Caster's jaded words.

...Ye have been wronged by them once. He thought, having heard that tone many times from the souls of the betrayed.

"Perhaps ye will find your answer afore our duties end." the Unseelie fairie offered quietly.

"...Perhaps." Maria conceded after a moment's pause. She sighed.

"Pero hindi ako aasa."

Humans. Mortals. For so long, the fairy had tried to fit in with them. To be seen as a friend, a companion. Even a wife, a long, long time ago. However, every time she tried, it ended in tragedy. Now, she was called to save their future? To serve one of them? It was terribly ironic.

Even her Master...Leon. She served him because he summoned her, in accordance with their contract. How she thought of him...she did not know yet.

"Forgive me for burdening you with my issues, ginoo. It has nothing to do with you."

At that moment, an announcement blared all over the mess hall.

"Master Candidates, complete your preparations and report to the leyshifting area. You have thirty minutes....Mission Commander for the first Grand Order will be Master Candidate III, and the Sub-Commander will be Master Candidate VI."

Mess Hall

Winda overheard the announcement and picked up her deactivated staff. Afterwards, she pushed her chair in.

"Looks like it's time. Let's show them what we can do, Archer."

Winda quietly headed off to the leyshifting area. Somehow, Gulldos isn't causing Winda's clothes to get scuffed up, a sign that the familiar trusts her.

Emilia followed close behind Winda.

"Follow Berserker."

"As you wish Master"

Berserker followed.

"Heh, same." Oren took a deep huff of the pipe before standing up. He waved it at Saber. "I was going to get some gear prepped before we got moving. Get everyone's gear Reinforced, maybe Project anything anyone needs. What do you need, Saber?"

Assassin materialized next to Kasumi in lockstep, disguised as a Familiar for now. He maintained his standard "scruffy white man" appearance, but made sure to keep his magical presence on the down-low for now.

"Ma'am." He announced himself with a nod. "What do you think of these... Magic users?" That particular part was taking a lot out of Sherlock, having practically made a career out of debunking the mystical. "I would recommend congregating around them and... socializing..." He cringed. "I'll need to gather all the information I can now, while they're still relaxed."

Summoning

"Well, that's the idea, isn't it?" the Lord replied, eyeing up his servant. The identification spell presented to all Chaldea members activated within his mind, providing him with all relevant information involving his story.

"2 stars.. well, I can work with that." he said quietly. He then reviewed her parameters and frowned for a fraction of a second before shrugging neutrally. There was no sense in worrying about what he couldn't control, and this was just that.

He took the sunglasses hanging off his collar and put them on before heading back out the door. "Come on now, we've got quite a bit to talk about before we begin."

Of course, he paused for a moment to pick up his thermos.

Current Time

Lord Montagne-Fer stood near the center of the leyshifting area, near the front. Behind him was SHIVA, currently covered in the holographic sheath that obscured the dark future of mankind.

He had sent Caster to socialize with her fellow Servants and their Masters, since he could not do it himself. He was sure she would share with him any worthwhile information. Really, he could have sent Aussenselbst to do it for him, but it wasn't really worth it in his honest opinion. He'd meet them all soon enough, whether on the field or right before they leyshifted to World War II.

While he seemed rather stoic on the outside, he was actually absurdly excited at the moment. His hands shook slightly in anticipation. He was going to Japan; he finally had an excuse to go! Sure, protecting the world would have to be his primary objective, but exploring everything would be a close second. The trees, and the people, maybe even a chance to sample the food... nothing like authentic cuisine.. there were a few Japanese restaurants in London, but he was sure none of them would compare to the real thing.

Bradamante

Bradamante thought for a moment, not expecting her to ask that. But the announcement came before she could say something. {Me? Nevermind, it looks like times almost up, better get going Master.}

Valerie

"Well Julie, you ready to move?" Valerie asked while turning to where he Servant presumably was, and smiling.

Emilia turns her head and gives Berserker a smile.

"Oh there's no need to be so professional. Relax a bit, this'll be a cakewalk."

Berserker shuffled a bit, but then nodded, his posture easing just a bit.

"right, still I'll do my best"

"Regardless, I thank ye for choosin' to share it with me. Talkin' with friendly company is a rare treat for my kind." Rider said, then gave his own farewell when the announcement ended.

When Caster went off to rejoin her master, Rider turned to Alba. "She feels similar to the fae o' the Seelie court, though many o' them are far too whimsical to pay mind to what humans think 'bout them." He mused, before straightening his posture and focusing on the current matter. "But that is somethin' for another time, Milady. Are ye ready to depart?"

Hm? Oh, certainly, Master, Julie said as she looked at the incarnated Servants. The Berserker seemed rather boring, but that lovely Caster in conversation with that Rider, and that striking-looking Lancer... Yes, she would definitely have some fun here.

Alinia glanced over at Emilia and her Berserker and sighed."There's nothing wrong with being relaxed before a battle, but be careful to not underestimate our task. We don't know who or what we'll have to fight."

Alba nods. "I am as ready as I can, Rider, be given the circumstances."

Making sure she has a firm grip on her book, she follows behind the mages who appear to know where they are going.

"I... I think they are about what I would expect of Magus honestly", Kasumi replied with a nod, acnoladging she should probably approach one of them. Her first choice was Oren considering he had just asked a question, but honestly she did not want to asociate with him any longer then needed at the moment, she smoke was... rather discomforting to her.

With pinned ears, she approached and replied with a question of her own, "D-Do you know if your projection can help with with period appropriate wear? We are already going to stick out pretty bad due to our manarasims, appearance, and speech, it might not be the best idea to add clothing to that list"

As she asked this she kind of slid her hands a bit lower to make sure that she had remembered to bring stormcaller, once she was sure it was there she relaxed a bit, her blade and some cleaning products were about all she intended to bring, after all, what she was asking applied to her as well.

"Uh, yeah actually." Oren took another deep breath into the pipe, then nodded. "I'm super good at Projection, it's like one of my things. Thing is, we may want to just buy it. That, that I can cheat by just Projecting cash for us." He nodded to Saber. "Saber. Think you can find a supplier for..." He pulled up a few photos of... yen...? He just googled "japan money ww2" and held the picture up to Saber. "I need you to find me one of each of these denominations so that I can Project money for us. I don't want to mug someone when we get there unless absolutely necessary."

Summoning

Maria felt very uncomfortable as her summoner looked over her. She was not used to being stared at, and it took quite a bit of willpower not to curse him and run away. Furthermore, he seemed...slightly disappointed at her. She supposed that it wasn't an unexpected reaction. She was not a particularly powerful Servant.

As he began to leave the room, Maria followed him, head still bowed, and in a respectable distance behind him.

"Ginoo, I know that I am not what you were expecting, and I will not say I do not have any doubts about this mission...but we have made a contract and I will do my best to uphold it. Magtiwala po kayo sa akin."

Magtiwala po kayo sa akin: Trust me.

"Huh. Where? This is your world, not mine," Saber snorted.

Summoning

"There's no problem, Caster. There's no need to worry." Lord Montagne-Fer replied, pausing and turning around. He took off his sunglasses and smiled. "I'm sorry for my original reaction. Let's try to get along as best as we can, right?"

He extended his hand as a token of friendship.

"And if you could try to speak English to me mostly, that'd be pretty helpful. I don't actually speak Filipino... I wonder if having you as my servant would teach me the language a little?"

Winda listens to Alina and nods. She looks over at Emilia.

"She's right, Emilia," replied Winda as she tried to be more friendly with the Gishki. "We could be facing a servant that could summon demons from his imagination. Or we could be facing a servant with complete mastery over melee and ranged weapons. Or we could be dealing with a servant who knows how to beat us Magi. There is also the possibility of a huge twist in our mission."

"Well, most Servants know how to beat Magi. It's 'hit us with weapons and Noble Phantasms a lot.' That's why we summoned Servants," Alinia pointed out.

Winda ponders this for a moment and nods.

"Good point. It's best to fight fire with fire, or however you say it these days."

Winda thinks about ways to keep any potential enemy at bay with Archer while finding ways to assist him with wind magic.

Valerie's attetion was also drawn to Rider and Caster though, what really caught it was Rider's Master Alba. She walked up besider her giving a friendly wave. "Hey there! Off to a great start aren't we?" she said in a joking tone.

"Wait, shit, we're in the Himalayas!" Oren exclaimed, taking an angry puff. "Goddammit!" He gestured the pipe towards Kasumi. Cute, but those ears made him pretty certain she was some sort of weird terror-monster. "Sure you don't want any? Uh, anyway, Saber, we got an hour to prep, you're right, no way to get any of that yet." He took a deep breath. He felt even more aggressively stymied than usual. The weed helped, if only a little. "Guess we'll have to mug someone. Wanna head into the canteen, then? I need a flat surface to Reinforce all my shit before we go."
