Since her summoning Ching had been silent following her master about in spirit form. She never really felt the need to talk all that much to the man who summoned her, apart from telling him her class and name along with confirming their contract. He seemed pleased to have summoned a Rider, why she couldn't say. Now she stood behind him as he ain't his meal observing her surroundings.

Immediately a verbal confrontation between two of her Master's comrades had broke out. It had been started by a red-headed magus identified as "Gishki." Ching's opinion of this "Gishki" was now incredibly low. Anyone starting problems with their fellows before a major operation was no doubt more trouble than they are worth. She would have to watch that one and her black knight Servant, least they doom the upcoming mission to failure.

Then another magus (name irrelevant, this one was no doubt going to be the first casualty of the upcoming operation) started to smoke some form of intoxicant. BEFORE A MISSION NO LESS! And worse, he offered the drug that was fouling the air to his fellow magi to also dull their senses. Had this boy been apart of her crew when she was still alive he would have been decapitated and had his lifeless corpse tossed into the ocean by now! Truly standards on how to deal with troublemakers have changed since her time, and not for the better...

Then the Director spoke and immediately Ching took a liking to her and her no-nonsense approach to dealing with the bickering magi. Though she felt she could have at least maimed the red-head to prove as an example to the others. Ching made a mental note to ask her Master later to introduce her to the Director.

"{Master,}" Ching communicated through their link."{Let us go prepare. No doubt your comrades will do the same with their Servants.}"

Kasumi had been mostly quietly sitting to herself so far, not really wishing to involve herself in the ongoings of others, especially not with what little social skills, she had, nor what they must think of her. That one in particular was bothering her a little, while her disguise kept her physical appearance hidden, she was pretty sure that most of the other magus could have figured it out by now, especially since the whole summoning ritual took enough manna to disrupt it.

And, then the announcement of where they were going hit, her homeland, during WWII... Not exactly the best time to visit it, thankfully they were not going to be involved with any thing happening there, at least she hoped, the grail war should be able too keep them busy and focused on it. Still her ears drooped a bit and she had to run her hand through her hair in an attempt to keep the band firmly on her head.

With a small sigh, Kasumi stood up from where she was sitting and walked over to the others, mostly to see what they were going to do in perpetration.

Ah. About time they were to finally prepare for action.

Silently, Norman stood from his seat. Thankfully he didn't have to say his word in this whole situation that the two bickering Magi were finally done, either by their own will or by Director Olga's powerful announcement.

He stood up. "Ladies, gentlemen... today we begin shaping humanity's future back." He thought it sounded corny, but sometimes you needed something extra corny to get the meaning across. Norman had hopes that the pompous announcement will remind all these bickering youngsters that they're not here to fight each over other some sort of dominance, but to work together.

{It is high time we do, indeed.} He replied to Rider's words through the link. {Just one thing before we do: just call me Norman. If we are to work together, formalities will only tie our hands.}

{I hope this courtesy can extend both ways, Miss Ching.} He addressed his Servant - eugh, how he loathed the terminology - and her true name. {In any case, let us go prepare.} Picking up the toy car and pocketing it in his pants he gave a nod to people present and head back to his quarters to gather a few last things before they departed into the past.

"Apparently, we're going to Fuyuki, Japan", she said to Dullahan. Oh, she knew that he could hear the Director as well as she could, but it was mostly to re-affirm it to herself. If the director's grand announcement and chilling glare were meant to impress upon everyone the severity of the task at hand, the effect was severely diminished on Alba. She'd only been recently acquainted with the concept of the "holy grail war" and even then it was nearly impossible to find out what happened during them. Mage organizations hoard secrets like a dragon's treasury, but the secrets of the holy grail war were more like pulling a dragon's tooth right out of its skull.

Since she only had a little time before they had to go, she instead tried to recall what she knew of about the time period. If there's anything she trusted beside the voice in her head belonging to the Servant bound to her, it's the words of the people like William L. Shirer. To anyone observing her from the outside, it would appear she was staring straight at the ceiling with a glass-eyed expression. Not quite what one envisions a Master should look like.

"{Hrmm... Very well.}" Ching said. Why he would call what she called him she had no idea. It was merely terminology to describe his role in their partnership. She doubted the other Masters had any qualms of being addressed as that by their Servants.

"{But please refer to me by my class name when around the others,}" she said glancing back at the magi troublemakers as she and her Master left the mess hall. "{There are a couple of characters here I'm not too sure about.}"

Her thoughts quickly turned to where they would be going into the past for their mission: World War II era Fuyuki, Japan. She tried to remember all she could about that time but when she was summoned she was only given information to help her get by in this era. As such she only knew that WWII was a period of time in which several countries did battle and that's about it. The fact that a Holy Grail War also took place during this time was also concerning. This would mean other Servants than the ones she would be fighting with would be there.

Ching briefly wondered if the mission would be considered a success if she just summoned her fleet and bombarded the city into dust to solve the problem? Then decided against it. Chances are there are a few here who would object to razing the entire city. Maybe just a few city blocks? Or at least the slums (if it had any)? Questions for later.

Alinia sighed as the Director's announcement as she collected her food. It seemed a bit unnecessary to scold all the Masters when it had only been those two fighting... She shook her head. Well, as long as those two could focus on the mission when it mattered, it really didn't concern her. Sheturned her head to where Lancer was waiting in spirit form. Would you like any food?

Summoning

Valerie watched Julie do her thing, a small smile forming on her face. She stood straight despite the fact that the summoning had worn her out, after all she was supposed to be in charge here. But something was missing from this, and Valerie needed to remind her. "That's was a nice introduction but aren't forgetting something? Such as your name, and your class." she continued more of in a playful manner. If anything, she was in a pretty good mood right now.

Mess Hall

After being scolded by the leader of Chaldea for bickering like children, Winda decided to prepare for their mission. Winda felt yelling at the others for something she and Emilia did is bit harsh, but this is an important mission. Any slip-up can be dangerous at the mission at hand.

Kasumi can see Winda briefly closing her eyes for a brief moment. Winda's headband glowed for a bit, and an armored green bird appears on Winda's shoulders. This was Winda's familiar, Gulldos. He was not as great as any transportation offered by any Rider-class Servant, but he counted when it mattered.

"Ah, of course! I am of the Saber class, mademoiselle." Julie twitched her head to the side and spoke directly into Valerie's mind. "As for my name, I am Julie d'Aubigny. Now who might you be?" she said aloud.

Rider whistled. Sounds interestin'. He remarked. He never recalled having a need to travel to Japan, owing to the fact that they had their own reapers performing their duties.

As he digested the additional information provided by the Director, Rider let a small smile blossom on his face. Aye, truly an interestin' place and time to be in. He mused as he processed what little information had been provided him on Japan and the wars upon being summoned. I wonder what servants will we encounter?

{Duly noted, Miss Rider.} Norman replied to Rider's concerns, allowing himself a small smile. Even if some of their allies were unsavory, such was the luck of the draw. They had to cooperate and put any differences aside, no matter how dire.

{Anything you wish to do before we get ready for the departure?} He inquired.

At those words, Lancer handily materialized upon the world... appearing without any reservation, sitting down with poise and grace upon the table "I'd like that, Alinia" says the red eyed woman as she begins serving herself some of the food... and displaying nice table manners as she eats quite slowly, savoring each little taste before taking in the food.

Alinia nodded. "I'm glad, then." She began to work through her food quickly. She didn't actually eat too often in the Chaldea Mess Hall - it was much faster to just make low-effort instant food in her workshop - but considering the circumstances she'd done so today. She went through her mental checklist of Pre-Leyshift Affairs (her lab had been tidied, volatile experiments and notes were safely stored, she'd make arrangements for her notes and work to be sent to Cousin Nari if she died) and nodded to herself.

She frowned as she saw Emilia call her Berserker into physical form. Honestly, if she was planning on boasting right before the mission, then that was really none of her business. It wasn't as though she needed to worry about social jockeying in this case. She finished up her food. "Well, we should probably head over." If Scathach was done eating, Alinia would head over in the same direction Emilia is going.

internally, on some level that had not yet been touched by his madness enhancement, berserker sighed. While he had confidence in his own abilities he did not like the idea of potentially alienating team mates before the mission had even started. Still he buried those feelings, if his master believed they could pull this off solo then he'd do his best to prove her right.

"Shall we be departing now master?"

Once again Berserker's growls were crystal clear to Emilia but seemed like groaning to everyone else

Retroactively After Everyone Else in this RP has Summoned Their Servants

The sound of steam hissing out of a hermetically sealed room, followed by two sets of footsteps where once there had been one.

That was number four, presumably. And now it was time for number three.

Lord Montagne-Fer, representative of the prestigious Clocktower branch of the Mage's Association, rose up from his seat. With a simple twist of his wrist, he closed the thermos he had been dutifully drinking from for the past half hour or so as he walked over to the door. He set it down gently next to the door before he proceeded.

He placed his hand against the identification pad at the side of the door then took off his sunglasses with his free hand. The identification process went smoothly, identifying him and his status as the 3rd most powerful magus in Chaldea's employ. The doors slid open with a hiss.

All that was left now was the summoning process itself. He cleared his throat and entered the blue-hued room.

"The four corners of the world, I bind thee. The contract is set, the gates of heaven shall open at my calling.

I command thee to bring forth the echoes of legend, the crystalline hope of man.

The elements shall be sundered in the face of my words.

The circle is filled, and let it fill again until it shatters.

I proclaim, with the voice surpassing the Gods,

Thine existence lives for me, mine for thou. Receive that which you seek: The Cup of Heaven.

Deny death, surpass life, submit to my calling,

O Lost Guardian of Men."

At the end of his arias, he could feel the command seals etch themselves into the skin of his chest, visible if only because of the way he wore his shirt.

A bright light filled the room, lightning bolts tainted with prana surged all around him as the FATE system began its dutiful work.

Summoning

"Valerie Monte. Its nice to meet you." She said while noting the mental communication. That was one thing she wasn't quite prepared for. Even still she gave a curtsy. "I think we've hogged the stage long enough, though." with that she stepped off the platform, letting the next candidate come up.

Mess Hall.

Valerie sat near the others, with her bowl of Bouillabaisse, essentially a seafood stew. It was her favorite, and a full stomach was certainly helping her keep her mind off of another thing she could be doing here. The fighting however...she had a bit of a disdain for, and it was clear on her face.

Claire blinked, slightly taken aback by her Servant's comment.

Pretentious...maybe? she offered with a shrug that didn't quite offset the mildly embarrassed expression she wore.

Thank you for the advice, though... she added with a small smile. I feel fairly prepared, I think; mana's at full and everything. Is there anything you want to do?

Summoning: The Mountain Fairy

The blue light of the FATE machine flared brighter, heralding the arrival of Lord Montagne-Fer's Servant. Suddenly, in complete contrast to the inorganic surroundings of the summoning chamber, a fresh mountain breeze seemed to waft from the summoning circle, followed by a thick fog and the sound of birdsong.

A figure stepped out of the circle, a dark-haired young woman dressed in clothes of brilliant white. She curtsied respectfully to her summoner and began to speak, eyes averted from his face and head bowed.

"I have come in accordance to your summons, Ginoo, I am the Servant Caster."

At that moment, flashes of information filled her mind, letting her know of her mission in this world.

A melancholic smile appeared on her face. "Save the mortals....? I suppose I will have to."

Mess Hall

The fairy had asked permission from her Master to observer their allies. Maria was not much to socialize, but she had to admit to being curious about those who would be under her Master's command during the mission.

Maria was still a bit uncomfortable at being so close to so many people, but the fairy had sworn to help her Master, and so these people were counted as comrades...if only out of necessity. Still, the Headquarters of this...Chaldea...being in the mountains gave her a small bit of comfort, keeping her from being too uneasy about the situation.

As soon as Maria saw her, she resolved never to go near the red-eyed Lancer woman. She felt death from her. Someone who had killed many of her kind. She didn't fancy talking to someone like that.

Out of the others, she was most interested in the Rider...the one called Dullahan. He was an existence not to far from her own. Another one she noted was the girl from Japan. Kasumi, was it not? She felt familiar. She felt like the spirits back home.

Almost subconsciously, the fairy took on a visible form and began walking, although with her Noble Phantasm, most of the people here could not see her face, simply a blurred outline to their eyes. She found herself right in front of the Rider and his Master, and Maria almost ran away.

Blushing slightly, eyes averted, Maria addressed him and his Master.

"Ah, pardon the intrusion, ginoo at binibini. Magandang tanghali po. Umm, I am sorry to intrude, but, ah, I...I noticed that you were an existence like me. A..a...diwata, that is to say, one of the Fae. Again, please forgive me for intruding, I simply wished to greet you. I am the Servant Caster."

Exiting astral form, Rider stood beside his Master and greeted Caster with a small bow, careful not to dislodge his head with the motion.

Temporarily broken out of her reverie by the sound of someone speaking to her, Alba sees the nervous Servant known as "Caster" talking to Rider and gives a curtsy and smile in respect. "And I am Alba Pryce, miss Caster. It is an honor to meet one of the esteemed Fae in person, believe me."

Straightening herself after being brought back to reality, Alba took stock of the Servants that chose this time to make their presences known. Two of them had rather commanding and powerful auras that probably cowed many mortal men in their lifetimes. But as esteemed and powerful as they appeared, they weren't worrying her a bit. That would be the attack dog towering over the haughty mage he was indentured to. His growls sounded like he was choking on the thick miasma covering his armor. Made her skin crawl something fierce.

The bookworm made a mental note to check if fae Servants were always this calm and polite to be around. Well...if they did come back, at least.
