Tempestas 29 - Krigsvart Thingy
"Well, mine's the opposite. I picked up some of the steps 'cause it looked like fun. You know how kids are, picking things up from their folks," Gage scratched his cheek, eyeing the newcomer briefly before turning his attention back to his green-haired partner.
"You put that together with the physical stuff you learn living the hardknock life, plus a few extra tricks..." He left it at that. The end result was obvious each time Gage sparred with their fellow dorm mates and students or got into trouble with Glynda Goodwitch for climbing school buildings.
Flinching in surprise at Ragna's sudden appearance, the blue-haired boy in glasses quickly spun around to face his friend, looking somewhat flustered.
"I-I, u-um, w-well, I-I was t-talking t-to S-Suzune a-and Amy, o-oh, and um D-Dia b-before...but n-now, just r-really...y-you know, um, t-trying to e-encourage S-Selene to try singing and...er, l-learning D-Diana needs h-her glasses..."
Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.The faunus looked around blankly once, twice, then settled his gaze upon Dia. She was talking to him! Most likely. He made his way over and gave the stranger a small bow, then one at her supposed companion. "Hello! Sorry to interrupt, but neither of you would happen to be..." He looked at a small number of scribbles on his hand. "Halle, Samuel, or Amethyst?" He looked back up at the two of them, smiling.
Dia saw the Faunus bow towards her. She smiled at him for his politeness. Evidently, he was searching for another group- perhaps his team. (He's a polite and quiet one.)
"Ah, you're looking for Halle, Samuel or Amythest? Halle's over there, Samuel's over there, and Amy's over there. Anyway, I'm Dia Rayfer. Nice to meet you." She pointed towards each of them respectively, before gesturing to herself.
Dia turned back to Gage, discussing about their lives before Beacon. She touched her chin with her finger. "Your life must've been very different from mine, Gage. Aside from a few incidents, my life was mostly quiet, luxurious and shut in."
"I did study things pertaining to my future work- Math, Spatial Awareness, Science." Dia gestured as she replied with a small smile as she created a diamond-shaped crystal. "Needed it to shape my crystals."
She then whispered to Gage with a slightly sad tone. "But I really wish that I learned more about the city and others like you managed to. Never mixed around much or went out often as my parents feared for my safety."

...ehehTempestas 29 - Krigsvart Bash
"When much of what you learned came from the end of a 2x4, I think one of us came out somewhat luckier than the other."
Gage looked over the androgynous-looking newcomer, though his highly-attuned senses seemed to tell him this was a male. No sense in being un-neighborly.
"I'm Gage, and this over here is Dia," he jerked his thumb at his green-haired partner. "You're gonna want to find the robot-" He pointed at Halle. "The mohawk-" Then at Samuel. "And Amethyst. She's the one with purple hair and wolf ears."

Welcome to Beacon
As Duncan left for the karaoke that was starting up, he reflected on what Duncan had told him. One of the swords that Connor had been using wasn't his, and now he was going to get whipped for it. He felt bad for the poor kid momentarily, but decided to zone out, have some eats, and listen to his fellow students sing.
He briefly wondered about whether or not he should take the stand. He'd never really tried karaoke before.
Fuck it, new experience, why not? As he got up to head over to the karaoke stand he momentarily noticed Gage pointing at him and speaking his name, along with someone else standing next to him. That attracted his attention, and he headed on over.
"What's up?" he asked Gage, Dia, and Zhi, all at the same time.

"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Tempestas 29
A time and a place?
"Whenever's fine. Doesn't have to be formal," Yan told Duncan. "Just feel like we'll make a better team if we've beaten the shit out of each other at least once."
Yan surreptitiously joined the karaoke group, sitting down beside his teammates, though he didn't want to sing, mainly because he didn't like his singing voice. Duncan took the mic first. Thinking he'd rather not go deaf so early in life, Yan covered his faunus ears to reduce the volume of Duncan's performance. After it was over, it seemed like Lena was going next.
"Oh boy, here we go," Yan said, rolling his eyes and smirking. She was probably going to sing the most out of all of them, as usual.
Yan sat back. Thinking for a moment, it hit him who Duncan reminded him of.
"Say, whatever happened to that Connor guy? I don't see him around anymore."
Hm. Hm. "Gage and Dia. Yes, thank you, and it is nice to meet you, I am Zhi Xam!" The boy nodded once, twice, then took out a pen and scribbled onto his hand some more. Gage. Dia. The pen went back into his pocket and his looked up, eyes scouring the room for his three teammates. One of them was a robot, apparently, and another was a wolf faunus (again, apparently). This meant that this third person approaching must be the other one.
"Hello!" He lifted his hand in a short wave towards Samuel. "You're Samuel?" He once again bowed, this time at Sam "My name is Zhi Xam, I believe we are teammates?"
Still Welcome to Beacon
"Hey there. Samuel Forrest." He raised his hand for a handshake. "Yep. We're teammates. Amethyst is your partner, though, if you wanna get technical. Pleasure to meet you, Zhi."
In a change from having practically recoilled at Halle, he didn't seem very fazed by Zhi.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp.""Good work in there, Marvin." Halle left the room a bit drippier, warmer, and electrically charged than when she came out, and clapped the Faunus on the back. "We can just blame it on Lena or something. Now, we oughta rejoin the party." Her hand lingered on Marvin's body for just a moment before drawing it back to herself, headed down the hall, back to the main party floor.
She approached Ragnaros and slid into place next to him with unnatural smoothness and precision, targeting the same boy. She had no idea who this was. "How about Selene goes up with me?" She suggested. She had no stake in this either. She barely knew who Selene was. "Is it in bad taste for me to go to the Karaoke machine? It doesn't take me long enough to calculate correct pitches to actually make mistakes. What do you think, Raggy, blue, is the shittiness in the singing part of the fun and appeal there, or is there more to it?"
Diana sighed in relief as she got her glasses back. "N-no, it's fine...I just...ah, nevermind me. Sel, either you sing or I'll have you try out all my new clothes. The frilly, fluffy ones."
Lena was about to indulger her inner superstar when she heard the conversation. Smirking, she turned to face Selene. "Selene Violet, I'm calling you out! Duet! I'm gonna beat you today!"
A bluff. There was no way in hell Lena could beat Sel at singing. However, appealing to the catgirl's competitiveness could help her get over her stage fright.
Elaine simply shrugged. "That's a bit tame for you, isn't it? I'm actually kind of underwhelmed. Oh well..."
With that, she took Scarlet by the arm amd leisurely walked towards the upper floors where the rooms were.
Past
Isabelle would've joined the battle against that lazy bastard, but Inquisitor stopped, and she couldn't move.
"Amberley, what the hell...?"
WANDERER PROTOCOL ACTIVATED. And without a second's warning, Isabelle was ejected from Inquisitor, and the armor closed up and flew off.
"A-Amberley! Wait!" No matter how she tried, Amberley would not respond to her commands. After the battle, she would find that she couldn't even track it. Her armor that she had spent years working on and bonding with Amberley, just gone without a meaningful explanation. —- Present
At present, the next heir of the Gold Dust Company flipped a metal tube around in her hand, contemplating its function as her new weapon.
Is this gonna be enough? She thought to herself as she leaned back against the wall. What happened to them...?
Allurand and surrounding world loading, 28%...Halle remained completely motionless and without any tics as she was passed over. She instead shifted Zarathustra to look at, making sure to grind the motors to generate an awkward, noticeable whine as she instead looked at Ragnaros. And at... whoever this other guy was. "Looks like you got out of it. Question still stands. You seen Isabelle around at all? Her armor always thinks it knows better than me, maybe it has an answer."
"...I-It's a bit hard t-to not be worried about y-you, Diana." The blue-haired boy nervously remarked, shyly glancing to the side.
Of course, with Lena 'challenging' Selene, he didn't really need to add anything on to what had been said. A nervous shiver went down the boy's spine as he slowly turned to notice Halle. James had little idea who she was, but she...sounded familiar? He couldn't put his finger on it.
"U-Um, I don't...r-really think I-I've seen M-Miss Isabelle anywhere, s-sorry, um, Mr? M-Miss?"
Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day."I'm right here, guys," Halle and James could hear from the nearest wall. They'd been standing close to Isabelle the whole time, and she didn't exactly feel happy about what the barely-humanoid android had to say about Amberley.
"And Amberley could beat you in chess before you could blink." She said with a glare. "Or whatever it is you do with your ocular sensors..." She was almost tempted to make it difficult for Halle to repair a lost arm, but she held herself back. She didn't want to make a scene at the party, and Halle was very sentient, regardless of the circumstances of her creation.
Allurand and surrounding world loading, 28%..."Well, I both take in and heavily monitor my sensory input." Halle replied. She remained calm, but also realized one thing: Isabelle had made herself a target. Tearing her to pieces was what Dad would do. While she had escaped the bindings of race and aesthetics, she was still within the female half of the gender binary. May as well sling shit like girls were supposed to.
"Oh, my sensors? I record most things I see, but I also edit out anything that would be illegal to show." She checked her arm's playing, straightening it out a little. "So Marvin over there was legal, and I'll certainly link you once the upload's done, but..."
She swept Zarathustra's gaze across Isabelle. "I suspect that looking at you and Amberly covers the same profanity laws against film depicting particularly depraved or horrifying pornography. And murder, in particular that of infants." She cracked Zarathustra open in a flippant smile. "I'd have to check the particular language, but offensive to common sensibilities seems right up the alley of your design philosophy."

"I hope we can all be friends." Dia turned to Zhi and gave a slight smile.
She turned to Samuel. "Hello there Samuel. Gage and I were discussing some stuff when your new teammate arrived. We helped him find you." Dia smiled at both Zhi and Samuel.
Turning back to Gage, Dia responded quietly. "Only in terms of wealth and studies. In terms of street-smarts, you're way better than I..."

...ehehFlinching in surprise and spinning around to face Isabella, it took James a few moments to give a typical nervous wave along with a very meek 'Hello'. Although with the robot and golden-haired girl sounding not too pleased to see each other, he nervously retreated a few steps.
He wasn't keen on getting dragged into a fight or possible crossfire.
"U-Um, er...w-why would y-you even r-record...s-such...t-things i-in the first place..."
Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.Isabelle gripped Aurea Virga tighter in her fist, wanting to strike Halle so badly. It wouldn't be rational, it would be stupid and dangerous and—
Something Amberley would've told me not to do. And she paused, hoping that her companion would be right by her side again, gently advising against it like she never left.
But she wasn't there.
So the golden-eyed Nobel blinked her shimmering eyes and moved past James and Halle and aimed herself at the food being served for the expecting Krigsvart's birthday party, intending to exercise out any excess calories she'd gain eating this party food, ashamed by how much missing Amberley affected her.

Looking over to Yan, Duncan responded "Isn't he just the man of the hour tonight?" chuckling mildly before continuing "Well, he stole da's ancestral sword without da's permission so da marched south to get his sword back. Then da called me while I was on tour an' told me I'd be takin' Connor's spot here while da dragged him back north."
Halle followed Isabelle with Zarathustra, spinning it a full 180 in order to see her without moving the rest of her body. "That's right." She said flatly. She sort of wished Isabelle would have struck her so that they could settle this properly, but firing back like this would have to do. "Anyway..." She kept Zarathustra focused on Isabelle as she angled to look at the other kid.
"Miz Halle Wulfen, in case that savagery I just handed out didn't clue you into my expected gender role. I record everything because in our line of work I could die at any time. Having data to give to future developers would help a lot. Alternatively, I could publish it. Earn some money on the side, or make it into some kind of documentary. You want a copy? It includes a philosophical trip into the nature of socialization in the modern day, and a bit of a strike-back against the paradoxical prudishness of a great deal of Huntsman society."
She paused, trying for once to render this into better terms. "That is to say, Marvin and I had a brief talk about why Huntsmen consider long-term relationships at all feasible, and if there were other alternatives. Also, there is pornography."

...Well, at least things hadn't gotten violent just yet. That was something to be thankful for as he decided to not risk annoying Isabella. Although with the robot still focusing on him, the young man just looked uneasy.
"W-Wait, Halle...? T-That...Halle? Y-You, um, l-look sort of different from...w-well, d-did you actually...g-get upgraded or r-redesigned or s-something. ...And I-I guess you c-could? I mean, if I...don't really q-quite follow what you're saying, but...sure?"

Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day."I don't think so." Halle said. "Father had a bunch of possible shells for me, though. He talked about misremembering weird shit all the time too. I think it's something to do with this place." She tapped her foot on the ground for illustration and started pulling up several images of preliminary Halle shells. She displayed them on a screen on her palm and held it up to James. "Any of these look familiar? I really like the spider body especially."

"Ah. Thought I can try my luck with some singing, but Duncan's right. Lena, stage's yours." He nudged his girlfriend with a chuckle.
Then, while browsing over the people gathered - he noticed they have gathered plenty of attention already - he spotted James being spun around by two pretty cat ladies and the new girl -he believed her name was Violet? We think. With a grin he went over to them. "Hey there, folks. Whatcha doing just standing around and blushing?" He greeted with a small chuckle.
