Morning
Scarlet finished her food and let the plate clatter to the table. "Which day? you're going to have to be way more specific. Seems like you guys are worried about how I act on any given day."
Night on the town
Scarlet sighed before speaking up. "Much as I hate to agree with Halle on anything, she has a point. Splitting up weakens combat effectiveness. I even try to get people I go after to split up, easier taking them out one at a time."

"The CCT, Red." He spoke with a sigh, his eyes settled on hers. "The way you acted when you got up there, the way you spoke and looked at me. Wanted to talk about that."

Scarlet shrugged. "I don't like losing people. Especially not when they're close. Especially not when they're some of the first friends I've had in years." She looked over towards her motorcycle.
"And I don't know if you've noticed but I don't really do small emotions."

"Uh... I am still kind of apprehensive to call this a sport." Raggy muttered as he got to see what was in his personal opinion a poor excuse for just letting your stress out.
There were so many better ways to go about this, honestly.
"Aoi just might be right." He chuckled, shaking his head. "Though it looks like the sort of exercise where everybody is invited."
Breakfast
"I noticed that." Marvin commented as he set his own plate aside. "Red, there was more than just that, wasn't there?" He asked sincerely, his eyes on her. "I'm not trying to accuse anything, but that seemed to be a little too panicky for two people you've been arguing with recently."

"There a reason you don't want to look at me when you're talking to me, Red?" He asked, a hint of annoyance in his voice. The pale boy sighed and shook his head as he stood up. "Look, Red, that's enough yeah, but you and I both know that there's more to it than just that. Or maybe there isn't," he spoke with a sigh and a small smile, "I honestly don't care if there's more or not, I'm just glad you actually consider us friends."

I don't look at you because it'll annoy you faster and keep you off my back for tonight.
Scarlet scoffed and turned to look at Marvin. "Of course we're friends. If we weren't you'd know by now. You think I'm tough to deal with as is, Lily? You've never even seen my bad side." She teased.

Dia would reply to Aoi as she looked out of the window, cautious and on the lookout if a ball or other weird weapon was headed her way. "Looks like you may be right indeed, Aoi. Perhaps it could be to train fighting skills..."
She would then respond to Raggy. "I can understand violence in wrestling since fighting is the main objective there, but this 'Grifball' is a ball game, not a brawl game... and it's even more violent than wrestling."
It was evident that yes, Dia had seen a video of her partner wrestling before.
Miss Rayfer would then reply to both with a curious and puzzled tone.
"I must wonder why Gage is so... particular and passionate about this sport."

...eheh"Uh..." Raggy was about to say that wrestling is not really a sport, but a few bruises gained during his earlier scuffle were there to say otherwise. "I guess so."
"And Grifball looks very Gage-y, if that makes sense." The grayhair hummed, watching the violence unfold outside. "Though I wonder how come Miss Goodwitch or anyone else isn't stopping it."
Evening
As he let his smarter friends deduce what was going down, Duncan kept drumming gently on his handlebars, only speaking up at one point to mutter "Please don't call the coppers pigs." before resuming his drumming.
After a while, Duncan asked "So, what's the plan?"

The Weekend - Morning, Dorm Sakura Kitchen, Beacon
The clip then showed a close-up of a tall and strongly-built lady with an undercut proceed to kick the young man with the large nose while he was down. Until a heavily-armored referee droid pulled her off and gave her a warning about the two minute rule, which meant that brawls could only last two minutes and no longer.
This prompted a shouting match between the brawler and the referee, all while she kept getting a few last kicks in before the referee pulled out a red card and brandished it like a deity's judgement.
The woman was marched off the field, the air around her blistering with curses as the young man, who was known as 'Pounder' Jones hobbled to his feet.
Outside, in the grounds between buildings and even the ledges of the windows themselves, scratch teams from both Dorms Sakura and Bougainvillea turned the area into a war zone. Running atop garden walls, making acrobatic leaps off of ledges and even flipping over bushes, the two teams battled it out in a pickup game almost as heated as the clip.
And to no surprise to anyone, Merrick Gage was in the air, his body twirling in a corkscrew before lashing out and catching the current ball—holder (or the Grif, as they were known) with a roundhouse kick that sent the ball airborne and prompting another tussle.
Somewhere nearby, comfortably ensconced on a bench, Professor Peter Port was among the spectators and realized that there was opportunity to be had.

Gage might have picked up Duncan's undertone but ignored it. When you saw a pig acting a pig, you called it what you would, no buts about it.
"Those're movies, Halle," Gage gulped down the drink before throwing the vial over his shoulder. "But if you wanna keep it that way, we can take this longer route to avoid the main line'a pigs." With his finger, he pointed a very round-about route that would theoretically get them to the shadier side of the avenue.
Part of the route might have been far too familiar to Scarlet.

Weekend-Morning
From the video of a woman beating up the big nosed guy, it apparently looked like one could keep beating up on the opponent, as long as said brawl only lasted for 2 minutes.
2 minutes of No-Holds-Barred Beatdown. Within that time, one was free to punch/kick/bash the other guy's face in.
(Oh gosh, why? People could get killed! That's... just... cruel.)
And then Dia saw what was going on outside. People fighting over the ball. She winced as she saw her partner kick the guy in mid-air like that, and put her hand to her mouth.
"Oh my..."
(I... am going to have to take some time getting used to this. None of these are evil people, they shouldn't deserve that...)
...ehehMorning in Dorm Sakura
Cerise walked off and came back to set down a cup of Gage's very strong tea. She sat down, closed her eyes and leaned back, precariously balanced on her chair's back legs with the cup of tea in hand.
"It's a violent world out there, Di," she said, cracking one eye open to look at Dia. "Grifball just reflects the madness. The madness that's inside all of us."
Cerise came dangerously close to toppling backwards, but a quick push from her disembodied hand brought the chair's front legs back to the ground. She sipped her tea quietly, then cracked both eyes open.
"Who's Goodwitch?"
Night
Pop. Cerise had moved on from treating her paw like a ball to be thrown to blowing bubbles through pink bubblegum. Cerise sat up, mounting the back of the bike, then impatiently pat the seat where Gage would ride.
"Then let's goooo," Cerise said. "I'm bored."
Cerise took her gloves from her lap and wore them.
"Pigs'll be done and gone by the time we're off. Then there'll be no reason to go around."
Night on the town
Scarlet looked in the direction Gage was pointing and mentally compared the direction to the place they were going, and of course it would just have to take them there. "We sure there isn't another way? Like the sewers or something?" She asked, surprisingly quiet for her.
-dramatic music ensues-The Weekend - Morning, Dorm Sakura Kitchen/The Grounds, Beacon
For the utter violence Gage displayed, he steered clear of the sustained cruelty the woman in the clip showed to poor Pounder Jones, currently part of the RUGL Hall of Fame. He was everywhere on the field, a punch here, a diving slide there, and a beautiful long-ranged pass that ended in a scramble by Bougainvillea's goal zone.
The ridged ball went up, went down, both teams scrabbling and fighting for possession when it went up in the air one final time... And one of the Sakura players sank it with a beautiful double-handed drop.
The ball simulated exploding, the ridges suddenly protruding as a loud and brutal buzzing filling the air and once again waking too many people up from a well-deserved night's sleep. Gage and his team cavorted around, filling the air with their cheers. The delinquent even hauled up the scorer, recognized as one of the members of Team MSRE (read, unluckily, as 'misery') and shook him around in a victory dance.
For all the violence, for all the brutality, there was a simple and exultant in joy in a winning goal, in the gamboling of young people on a winning game...
The Weekend - Near Midnight, Bonnet Community Center, Vale
Gage scratched his chin. "The sewers are a different thing entirely. It's a dark and dirty maze where we can't take the bikes. And even if we did, it'd take too long on account of a lotta boltholes down there. Boltholes full of mad dudes. Not to mention the gangs who hang around down there."
"Straightest way," his finger traced the route. "Will have everyone down our necks. But if you wanna keep together and get there in time to question guys," he tapped the earlier route, the round-about route. "There's no other choice."

Breakfast
"Well there was that one time we actually got into a fight and..." He shook his head. "Look, Red. I know there's more than that, and while you value your privacy, I like knowing what's up with my friends." he took on a sincere face and tone as he spoke, looking at her with soft green eyes. "Talk to me when something happens, alright? Please?"

"Look, the fight was just growing pains. Besides, it wouldn't have happened if you didn't follow me. She commented blandly, as a way to brush of his argument. "You worry too much, I'm not about to go crazy if that's what you're concerned about."
Night on the town.
Scarlet reactivated her helmet. "Fine, whatever, let's just get there." She replied, hoping the edge of anger in her voice would be taken as impatience.
-dramatic music ensues-Weekend-Morning
"I don't think madness and violence are like that, Cerise." Dia would reply to Cerise, recounting how she was groomed to be obedient as a member of the Rayfer family.
"Though I must say, these guys aren't the sort who deserve violence." Dia would then add on as she looked back, referring towards the people who had kidnapped her as a little girl.
"And yes, what Raggy said." to answer to question about Goodwitch.
She would then look outside the window and see the goal being scored. For some violent sport, there was a good amount of team spirit and celebration, and being a good sport in all.
(Maybe it's not all that bad...)
...ehehBreakfast
Marvin was silent for a few seconds as he stood up and sighed. "I'm not worried about that, I just want you to talk to us more often, Red." He frowned as he spoke, his pale face wore a look of worry as he looked to her. "I know you won't go crazy, so I don't worry about that. I worry about everything else, it's kind of my job as your partner."

"Someone to avoid, then," Cerise said.
Cerise stood up and went through the fridge and the numerous cupboards. She returned to her chair with milk and honey to ruin Gage's tea.
"No one deserves violence. But most of us get it, one way or another, whether we like it or not. That's Remnant for you," Cerise said.
She looked out at the Grifball game on the school grounds.
"And some of us develop such a taste for it that we go looking for it ourselves."
Night
"Yes, let's not go through the sewers," Cerise said. "I just got the blood dry cleaned out of this outfit."
Cerise leaned forward and pressed her ear against the seat of Gage's bike. She stroked the seat like one would a horse.
"You hear that, Gage? She wants to go fast."
Cerise sat up.
"Now, since we're all done talking—" Cerise drummed the seat with her hands, beckoning Gage over. "Vroom vroom! Hornet go fast!"

Dorm Sakura (Morning)
Aoi had been staring out the window absentmindedly, quietly listening to the conversation going on between Dia and Cerise. Though she gave no sign of it, she agreed with the latter. That's why we're all here, isn't it? To become better at being violent? Or defending ourselves, at the very least...
"Doki Doki Lit. Club" is a happy game where nothing bad happens. seriously tho? not for the faint of heart.

Morning
Marvin nodded his head as he listened to her talk, the snake faunus swallowing an egg as he sat there. "Well, I had mostly been wanting to talk about how you were acting the other day." He said with a small smile as he looked to her.
