Reconstruction and Rebirth: Or, Here we go again
Tempestas 23, Monday, Aquarium: Some Blue-Haired Idiot With A Death Wish
Relena Hope Vale, only daughter of Princess Alexia and Sir Alfred, was getting really tired of this guy's shiznit.
The princess stood in front of the absolute moron who had sabotaged their field trip to the Aquarium. She had sucessfully managed to evacuate the remaining civilians with her team and was now fighting the culprit himself. Semblance flared, spear gripped in one hand, shield in the other, Lena warily approached the bluenette.
"Hey. How about you surrender now before you piss us off and get your arse royally kicked?" she taunted, trying to get him to lower his guard.
Tempestas 29, Sunday, 8:20 AM, Arrival at Morgan's Hometown
It was Aunt Carol's birthday, and of course she wanted to see her kids in Beacon so she had them fetched from school to be sent home for her party. And of course, the entire dorm tagged along, because why the hell not? The party was being paid for by Queen Alice, so no need to be cheap.
Ozpin, of course, had meekly agreed to let them go. The Dorm was getting rebuilt anyway because of an incident involving Jo, Lena herself, and accidentally dropping Jo's homemade bomb (It wasn't Lena's fault, she swears!) Besides, the headmaster could never argue with a cranky pregnant lady.
And so that was why Lena and her friends were here, at Morgan's place, watching as the adults prepared food and drinks, singing, chatting, and generally being silly. (Chris, Morgan's older brother, had basically comandeered the karaoke machine. Bad news: Chris was hilariously offtune.)
Lena shivered. She had a jacket on, but, wow she forgot how cold this place was.
She headed over to the fireplace and greeted whoever was there. "Yo. This seat taken?"
Anyone who wants to chat with Lena is welcome to. Also available: The Weapon Girls, plus Lexi and Chris, Di tagged along as well. I'll leave the town description as well as the house itself to Aqua.
Tempestas 23rd: The Slothful Conjurer
The lazy and apathetic young man did not move an inch from his seat as he looked up from his scroll at the 6 hunters that stood before him, intent on fighting him. He sighed, and began to speak.
"Oh come on, why are you people still alive? Couldn't you all have just done me a solid and drowned with the Grimm? I really don't wanna do any actual work..."
Iris glared at this evil young man, and said, "Y-you'll pay for all t-the damage you caused w-with those Grimm...whoever y-you are...!"
But the blue boy was not phased at all by Iris' attempt at showing bravery.
"Ugh, you people are really gonna make me do this, huh? Hooookay. My name is Mikey Vectora, you've interfered for the last time, yadda yadda. Look, I just want to get back to watching videos of cats, so sit still while I kill you all."
Mikey's seat seemingly roared to life as it began to float in the air. It was his weapon, a mobile assault platform◊ known as Unwavering Spirit.
"Let's get this over with...", he said as he gazed upon the six students before firing missles from the chair's arms.
Iris was standing right next to Morgan at the party, happy that she was invited to her girlfriend's mother's birthday party. Though Carol had attacked her back during Initiation, she seemed nice enough right now, so Iris wasn't too worried.
"I-Isn't this great, Morgan?", Iris asked her girlfriend.
Dia was livid and filled with bloodlust. She was mostly drained from her final, devastating attack on the Fathom that did a huge number on the aquarium. She was tired, bending over slightly.
But there was this side of her... a murderous side. One that deemed evil people like Mikey as beings no better than the Grimm, and therefore he was okay to kill. She would want to see him dead before she ran out of energy.
And it just happened that she heard music. The same music she heard when blue boy appeared. She ran towards the source awkwardly, past the terrified penguins, with most of her energy gone. But she would not stop until she reached him.
And reach him she did, after a small trek through the rather empty corridors of the Aquarium. She saw a group of other Hunter allies there too.
"Finally, I found you! YOU! YOU CAUSED ALL THIS! I HAD TO FIGHT THAT NIGHTMARE THING!!! Do you know how many people you endangered?"
Dia was shouting loudly and angrily, far from her usual self. Her long blonde hair flowed down, wet and slightly unkempt. There was a clear hint of bloodlust in her emerald green eyes, and her mouth? A murderous smile.
Getting Corona in staff form ready in her hands, Dia shouted to the rest of the hunters.
"Use lethal force! He's no better than those Grimm! He should be hunted like one!"
She wanted this blue boy dead for messing around with the Grimm and endangering everybody. Her mentor had taught her that people like him need a bloody, gory, messy death. And Dia was ready to give him one.
Seeing the missiles head towards her, Dia morphed Corona into a gun and fired a shotgun Dust blast at the missiles headed towards her, at an upward angle to avoid hitting the others. The blast was large, and had a high spread.
Dia was at the birthday party alongside her team. She had a plate filled with chocolate confectioneries and a bowl of ice cream, and was eating it with great joy, even though her expression didn't show much.
( Ah, my favourite stuff. They should be good.)
Quite a lot had changed by then too. There was a newcomer in her group, Violet, and Dia had been getting to know her. Miss rayfer was saddened by the fact that her partner, Fe, had to leave, and had mixed feelings of Gage as her new partner. ( Great, the delinquent and a lady like me. I'm going to have to get used to this... at least he's a great person who saved me from that thing by swapping places that time...)

Tempestas 23: Aquarium
"Are. You. Insane?!" Lena yelled...at Dia. "He's a person, you idiot! A psycho, yeah, but still someone with a soul! It's not our bloody place to judge who lives and who dies!"
While she was yelling, the princess had made her way towards the boy. With her Semblance flared, it was rather easy for Lena to dodge and weave around the fired missiles even with her armor.
Raising her spear, she activated the Discharge system, letting loose Ice Dust to freeze the chair's arms.
With most of the things under control, James was at least smiling and congratulating his team for how well the battle had gone. ...Although somehow, Dia had ended up vanishing without a trace.
At least all of them were safe and sound.
James didn't know why he'd agreed to tag along to the 'party'. His parents definitely weren't friends of Miss Carol's and the young man hadn't exactly talked that much to Morgan, Iris or anyone involved. But with that...incident at the Dorm, staying behind wasn't exactly going to be an option.
And the fact he'd barely made any attempt to talk or even acknowledge anyone else meant he simply sat somewhere out of the way to avoid being noticed for now.
Technically speaking, Duncan's fighting style shouldn't work on a guy with a flying robo-chair.
However, Duncan wasn't going to let that stop him from trying.
Sauntering up alongside the two attacking girls, Duncan shook his head and chuckled "Kill him? Not gonna happen. It's much more satisfying to make a jackass like him give up" That said, Duncan adjusted his gloves before charging forwards, leaping into the air and throwing a high impact superman punch at the blue fella.
Duncan wasn't much of one for partying, but he wasn't going to turn down free food and drink. Naturally gravitating towards the food table, Duncan began to dig in.

Lots of lasers.
Johann was certainly going to be a handful. The Dorm was being reconstructed - apparently he'd made a homemade bomb, then dropped it. The damage was sufficient that people needed to be evacuated. At least none of his things had been destroyed.
The place he was at in the meantime was also deathly cold, so he had planted himself next to the fireplace, planning only to be there for long enough to get the will to move. But it never came. Probably because everywhere else was cold, and this place had warm fire.
Samuel snaped out of his strange fugue when Lena headed over to the fireplace. "Nah, siddown! Cold as hell out there," he answered, patting the seat next to him.

Halle wanted to have some kind of tic to express how she was feeling. Snapping her jaw, maybe lolling Zarathustra around as if it served any functions remotely similar to a head. Even her father, who was mathematically speaking more machine than human by now, had little tics. When he was mad at her, he would snap his hands open and closed, or twist them in unnatural ways.
So she clanked over to the fireplace, where sitting still was expected. Sam was already there.
"Hello boss." She strode right past Lena and took a seat as well. Halle still couldn't get a read on whether or not 'looking' at people with the blank block of Zarathustra made them more or less uncomfortable, so she took the risk and pointed it at Lena. "And possible future boss, I suppose."

Aquarium, Boss Fight
Scarlet ran beneath the opponent before throwing Blaze in a lasso at the hovering maniac. "Flying around like that is an unfair advantage. So let's clip your wings, Criminal Scum!" If she successfully grabbed him with her chain she would attempt to bring the chair down to the floor.
Scarlet took a sip of the drink in her hand and looked around with an expression halfway between confusion and exasperation. The biker turned to her team. "Guys, why exactly did you drag me to this thing? I barely know anyone here as it is," She said.
Johann was in the party, though he has just arrived, very late due to trying to reorganize his items back in Beacon, suprisingly enough he was incredibly calm, showing only very little signs of being affected by what happened.
He politely greeted whoever he needed to, quietly making his way towards his family.
Specifically, Lena. He sat beside her and turned to her.
"Hey sis, you okay? What happened there was rather dangerous." The prince said with a worried tone.
Samuel took a moment to stare at Halle. To the machine it would be extremely obvious that her utilarian appearance threw him for a loop; nevertheless, he quickly got over himself. "How's it going?" he asked.
He noted Johann's presence and waved to his former boss. He wasn't too sure what had caused the reorganization of teams, but all he knew was that somehow he had become the leader of Team SMAZ.
Smash, it was pronounced.
He liked that pronunciation. Better than "smaz", anyways.

Marvin silently cursed his lack of initiative when it came to getting into fights. He didn't want to crowd the others, since too many people would make the battle an unnecessary mess, so instead he grumbled to himself and watched from a safe distance.
"You got me, Red. I only know Morgan since she's somewhat related to me. Iris? Not so much." He shrugged. "Besides, I figure this is a good time to check up on some cute girls, and guys of course." He grinned.
Halle, sitting with her back against the chair, was actually looking mostly at Sam. She had the one fiber-optic camera in Zarathustra for the purposes of spying or checking corners, but the most powerful ones were in her chest. She saw it.
"Well, I'm feeling extremely confident in my appearance today." Halle said. "I shined all of my plating and did this nice treatment on my joints so that I don't make a whole lot of noise when I move. That's interesting, you know? The rhetoric—one I certainly believe in—is that girls wear makeup not to impress others, but to give themselves confidence. However, that confidence is from looking good—something only quantifiable by what other people think, correct?" She snapped Zarathustra around to look at Sam. "I'm sorry, maybe you aren't the right person to talk to about this. Men don't really get judged based on their appearance in as public a way as women, so maybe you aren't 100% on what I'm referring to. Not to detract from any problems you have, of course."
Of course, Halle had picked up on Samuel's confused gawking. She then proceeded to - metaphorically, mind - grab onto him, and tear him the fuck down. For a moment he shrank back in on himself - he'd definitely hurt her, given the scathing response she'd given out. For a moment he wondered if any apology he could offer would even seem sincere given the context, but eventually decided that all he could do was offer one and take whatever other lumps came his way. T'was only fair.
"Shit... uh... sorry for gawking at you."
Yan didn't exactly feel comfortable in the Morgan household. After all, his last interaction with Morgan's girlfriend, Iris, was to punch her in the face. Granted, he had perfectly legitimate reasons for doing so—self defense—but Yan had little concept of 'holding back', and almost always punched hard.
Around a week had passed since both Yan and Ullioc disappeared. Only Yan came back. Between Ullioc leaving on a whim to study at Haven Academy (there were art courses in the curriculum, for some reason, perhaps because Haven was a little more prestigious than the average), and coming back only to witness his partner blow up the dorm in a spectacular explosion, Yan bore none of his usual enthusiasm.
He sat on a rug with his legs crossed, right in front of the fire, hogging the closest spot while he ate melting chocolate. Aside from that, he wasn't doing anything but staring quietly at a wall.

"Oh come on! He can fly!" The gynoid shouted in dejection, very very unhappy that they were fighting some one like this inside a building, especially one as conductive as this one to the gynoids style, well at least before Duncan leaped after him, "I guess that will have to do".
With a subtle hum, the various ports along Suzune's body opened up, and her jets flared to life as she took off at full speed for a nearby wall, when she approached the wall, she rebounded off of it and used the momentum, to attempt a grab at the ceiling.
To make matters worse for Sam, another gynoid decided to wander over, while she was definitely more humanoid then Halle, she did look very happy when she looked at Halle then back to Sam, "Organic Chauvinism?" she quires Hale, "I think your plating looks nice" she then tries to assure her.
"Oh, I was just trying to engage you in conversation." Halle replied innocently. She opened up Zarathustra slightly in an approximation of a smile. "Suzune, it's nice to see you, I was just trying to have a conversation with Sam about what it means to Look Nice, and why we do it." She rapped on her chest. "For instance, polishing my chassis before coming to the party. You do the same?"
For a moment Sam thought about making light of what Halle was actually intending. He then decided that, considering he was in the wrong, it was probably a better idea to not say anything on the subject.
Instead, his response was direct to Halle. "Whoops. My bad, then, must have not interpreted some signals correctly."
Ragnaros Remington, Raggy for short, felt completely exhausted for lack of a better word.
He wasn't exactly sure why. Their latest action - this whole mess with the aquarium - managed to be contained relatively easily, but... he always looked back to the sight of Lena almost dying.
...almost. All it took was a moment to the left or a moment to the right... no, he couldn't think of it. He shouldn't. This was a moment of relaxation, the moment in the present compared to a moment in the past.
...he glanced at his girlfriend talking with her brother. Smiling a little he plopped on the couch near where his second was. "Well, you aren't the only one." He spoke softly, gesturing to a fair selection of people otherwise unfamiliar with Morgan, Iris or the former's parents. "Guess it's an opportunity to socialize."

Lena had been about to make small talk with Sam when Halle had arrived....and Sam made a social blunder. Lena winced as he just dug himself a deeper grave.
The princess herself didn't know what to say at this point, but her brother arrived then.
Feeling her face flush from both guilt and embarassment, Lena couldn't even keep eye contact with Jo.
"I...I'm sorry, Jo. I...I didn't mean to drop your bomb, I swear. I tripped, and, holy shiznit, that's a terrible excuse, isn't it?"
Wow, she felt like a little kid again. She and Jo's experiments never did mix well.
"I don't have many signals, is the problem." Halle replied, snapping Zarathustra shut again. "So do you have an opinion there? Is that too heavy of something to talk about here?" She waved vaguely at Lena and the gathered entourage. "It's also a little too crowded here, specifically, around Lena. If I should dumb this down, I was going to go after Marvin over there." She inclined Zarathustra towards the aforementioned Huntsman and popped open her head again in her smile. "I've been skeptical about his pursuit towards anything since day one. Maybe he needs to provide edge cases to his thesis."
Samuel took a moment to think about his current situation. He'd gaffed, but seemed to be recovering. Of course, it was best to be careful, as the wrong move could erase your progress and drive you through rock bottom.
"I... don't have an opinion on the subject, actually." He decided to decline from further explanation there. Careful did it. "Pursuit towards what? I... have not exactly been here long."
Selene however was not with her teammates, she was sneaking towards the karaoke stage, a grappling hook in her hand. Where she got the grappling hook, god only knows, but she had to stop that singing. She twirled it around before throwing it out, wrapping it around Chris's foot, and yanking on it.
"Marvin puts forth a premise that he will sleep with anything that moves." Halle said, leaning towards Sam. "Two outcomes from this: either I successfully get reciprocated, in which case hey, nice confidence boost. Or I prove him wrong, get shut down, and Marvin is proven a fraud." She held her hands up.
"It's Team Smash for a reason, after all. Wish me luck." Halle got up and schmoozed over to Marvin and Team SSMR. She made sure to affect that Zarathustra was her head here—not only did it allow her to impress, and to seem normal to these people, but also let her ogle all she wanted. "Hey there, Marvin. It was getting kinda crowded around Lena, so I thought I'd jump in on the other campus harem. What's going on? Heard you guys had some fun at the Aquarium."
Violet walked over to Dia, eager to get to know her new team-mate. Of course, she had gone through the basic introduction with her teammates, but she really wanted to get to know them before they did any training together. "Hey, Dia!" She said, attempting to be conversational in her own obnoxious way. "Did you ever think about like, the psychology of the Grimm? Why do they attack humans and Faunus only? And how are they attracted to negative emotions? Do they smell our pheromones or something? And if so, why go after it? They don't need to eat us for food, because they don't have any immediately obvious anatomy..."
