Y'all notice how with the series initially being ran by Lauren Faust in the first season, it actually has a lot of voice actors from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends on the show like Tara Strong (Terrance/Batgirl, Harley Quinn, and Cheetah), Grey Griffin (Frankie and Goo/Wonder Woman, Giganta, and Lois Lane), Keith Ferguson (Bloo/Robin, Batman, and various other voices), and Phil La Marr (Wilt/Flash and Hawkman). Only ones from that show that haven't been on this series are Sean Marquette, Tom Kenny (though he voiced many characters in the 2015 version), Candi Milo, and Tom Kane though the latter's unlikely to show up given recent health problems.

I'm kind of surprised Tom Kenny didn't do voice work for the 2019 series since, outside of My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic, he did voice work in all shows she wrote on.
There's a bit of irony in how the voice director for season 1 of the 2019 series is Sam Riegel given how the voice director for Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends is Collette Sunderman, who worked on the 2015 DC Superhero Girls, and the last time Sam worked with Lauren before this show is Wander Over Yonder.

x 3 Mal would be a good addition. I also liked how Young Justice made her the mentee to Ray Palmer. They could do something similar here.
We have the descriptions for the episodes airing on August 1.
"#Powerless SEASON 2 , EPISODE 15 AIRING AUG 1, 2021 Supergirl loses her powers and, with the help of Bumble Bee, must rely on her street smarts to save Garth from vengeful Toyman."
"#Accept No Substitute SEASON 2 , EPISODE 16 AIRING AUG 1, 2021 Feeling smothered, Babs urges her retired dad, Commissioner Gordon, to get a hobby, but her advice backfires when the commissioner becomes a substitute teacher at her school."
I have a feeling Commissioner Gordon being a teacher is a nod to how he was a teacher at Superhero High in the 2015 series.
Here's something I said on page 46.
"It's interesting how we'll have burned off about 1/4 of a season in less than 2 months (airing 14 episodes by July 25). If we get 10 episodes in August, it'll be 24 out of 52 episodes. That's a little under half the season in less than 3 months. It's pretty clear that Cartoon Network is only airing the show out of obligation by burning episodes this quickly (if airing at 8:00am on Sundays wasn't enough)."
In other words, yeah Cartoon Network is treating the show poorly.
Didn't the thing just get a video game? You would think it's doing well. And there other tie-in books and stuff. What CN's problem?
Either way, Supergirl losing powers sounds interesting, I was really disappointed we haven't seen any after-effects when she used the solar flare in Bizarro episode.

Hey, at least they're actually airing the episodes at a somewhat reasonable time, instead of just dumping a show on Toonami, and then writing it off before they even finish airing the rest of it.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Does CN have something against DC? They keep getting their cartoons canceled.

I think it's the weird inter-company competition that Times Warner encourages. CN doesn't gain as much as they could from airing WB Animation shows compared to originals, so they pretty much do the bare minimum in airing them. Beware was probably the most openly hostile I've seen them on a third-party WBA show.
TT Go might be an exception because it's cheaper to make and brings higher profit, though ratings are nowhere as good as before. But I'd argue there was favoritism towards that show even before the premiere.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).In case y'all how the show is faring in ratings with CN's treatment of the show, here's how season 2 is doing based on Spoiler TV's data:
- I Am Batgirl: 182,000
- Double Danvers: 190,000
- According to Garth: 153,000
- Super Wonder Bat Bee Zee Lantern Mobile: 132,000
- Sirens Conch: 133,000
- Anger Management: 207,000
- Happy Birthday Zee: 208,000
- The Green Room: 169,000
- Night Sting: 161,000
I'd probably say it ain't doing very well in ratings at this point given how most are going below 200,000 views.
On the topic of Bumblebee and her lore, most of it ties mostly to both Teen Titans and Doom Patrol; and regarding this show I don’t think they can incorporate the former due to how the Titans are aged down (so Karen and ironically Garth can’t be hanging with them) and I wouldn’t say she was a major DP member but then again neither was Cyborg (see the show Doom Patrol).
Honestly the best option would be to take the YJ approach and give her ties to The Atom and, to a certain extent, the Fourth World; I mean her love interest Mal have connection to that via the Guardian identity
I hoping we'll see Joker this season. Now with Batman making open appearances, there is no reason to keep him as The Ghost.
I've always hoped that an appearance by the Joker would coincide with Harley experiencing a case of "Never meet your heroes" and pulling a Heel–Face Turn.
Hey its her fault for idolizing and modeling herself after the most infamous supervillain in the city. Like what does she expect from him?
If you go to Joker asking for a date and he stabs you in the guy, thats your fault.

She did have a brief stint in the Doom Patrol. She was also in the Birds of Prey, but the team disbanded before she went on any missions. Wonder how they would fit in Doom Patrol if they wanted to do that? Still think of the characters, she's probably the least weighed down by previous lore that they could probably be the most creatively departing with the character, if they wanted to.
