welp, let's see what my first foray into Winter was like:
Erased: Easily the show that kept me most interested. Its grounded without feeling boring, but still has a very good thriller vibe to it. Looking forward to see where it goes.
Kouya: Its...interesting. Its a setup episode so I guess I can see where this premise goes. The chemistry between the leads was pretty nice though.
Phantom World: Won't lie, I saw that boob gif and my expectations kinda plummeted, especially since Kyo Ani was behind this. I watched it and its....a thing. Its certainly not as trashy as I thought it'd be. I mean it definitely is, but still. I'll see where it goes.
I'll watch more tomorrow.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.PSO 2 Ep1: ...this is totally just an advertisement for the game. I kind of wished it'd be an actual story set in the game world instead of about regular people playing the damn game. I mean, I have nothing against shows about people playing video games, but this feels kind of heavy-handed.
In the first place, the storyline of the game's pretty decent from what I can remember so...

Prince of Stride, Sushi Police, Active Raid, and Boku Dake ga Inai Machi have all made my must see list. In comparison I dropped Myriad Colors Phantom World and Haru Chika for failing to impress.
Divine Gate: It starts with what sounds like angsty teenage poem and this pretty much sets the pace of the rest of episode. I can't remember when was the last time I've seen something this pretensions, confusing and downright chuuni as this. The dialogue seems to be intentionally cryptic and what little is explained or can be inferred makes the setting look oddly similar to the kind of fantasies Chuunibyoudemo Koiga Shitai was parodying, except playing it completely straight and deadly serious. And boy oh boy is this show trying it's best to be all serious and depressing.
I'll give it another episode because I think it could be watchable if it gets it's head out of it's ass even a little bit. If nothing else it looks good.
Dagashi Kashi: A must see of the season, an offbeat, oddly educational comedy about sweets and one girl's battle to make a guy inherit a candy shop. Hilarious and charming, this series will be a mainstay of the season for me.
I get the first chapter with subs in spanish.
....I liked it. Really liked it.
Miki (the manager and the main character) actually is pretty fun, dat backstory
.

Watch me destroying my countryKoukaku no Pandora/Pandora of the Crimson Shell: Ghost Urn seems like it is going to be entertaining in a random sort of way and has the feel of a yuri magic girl Ghost in the Shell. The characters seem interesting and I do have to agree with the main character, Cla-ring is very cute.

PSO2: Watchable but not good. Kind of reminds me of Girlfriend (Beta) tonally
Divine Gate: Bad, and not in an interesting way
Dagashi Kashi: Surprisingly, not shorts. I think I'd have liked it better if it was
Oshiete! Galko-chan: Meh
Sekkou Boys: Well, that was a thing. I feel like I should give it another episode, but I'm not sure if I want to
Koukaku no Pandora: It's dumb and pandering and I enjoyed every minute of it
Norn 9 looks pretty but was all introduction and not particularly interesting so far, with what looks like a steampunkish setting in which the cast still inexplicitly wears Japanese school uniforms.
Divine Gate light novel/magical school nonsense which takes itsels very seriously indeed, especially when parent killing mope boy is on screen, who looks as if he stepped out of a different series altogether compared to the rest of the cast.
Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu I had no idea what to expect from this, knowing nothing about Rakugo before I started watching this, but it was oddly compelling. It's hard to make what's essentially a static artform look interesting in animation, not to mention getting the nuances right, but it succeeded for me.
Koukaku no Pandora you could call this a maho yuri cyborg shojo show, couldn't you, especially with Nene's outfit and transformation scene at the end. Cliche ridden, but an excellent example of how to do an introductionary show right, something frex Active Raid or Norn9 didn't manage with their first episodes.
Haruchika: Haruta & Chika my love rival is my childhood friend — a boy. I refuse to recognise this love triangle P. A. Works version of Hibike Euphonium with a mild mystery sauce which I was skeptical about beforehand but turned out to be a lot better than expected. Main character being a genki girl trying to turn herself into a refined lady/cool beauty (already looking the part with the obligatory long purple hairdo) by way of switching from volleyball to playing the flute was nicely refreshing, having her childhood friend be gay and liking the music teacher too is the icing on the cake.
Dagashi Kashi I laughed out lood a couple of times. Which doesn't happen that much with nominally comedic animes.
Fairly certain that Aoto is the protagonist from the opening, which is one of the only two things keeping me from throwing the show in my trash list at the moment. Not often that the blue guy is the protag.
The other thing is one of the characters having the same name as me.
EDIT: Also there's the awesome OP it has going for it.

If you look at the PV on You Tube, knowing that Aoto is the protag, it's actually pretty obvious. He gets the most screentime in the trailer and it seems like the characters are mostly talking about him. It's just that the combination of Red!Energetic!Guy usually being the protag and Akane being the last character seen before the end of the PV led to a lot of people (including me) assuming that he was the MC.

Active Raid Didn't like it very much, much more lighthearted than I expected... it all went a bit fast and the mood was strange. Like the main character's design though, probably got salty that I was looking forward to her and then the whole ep was people ignoring or knowing better than her.
Boku Dake Inai Machi Mystery, seems like it will be good... not formulaic, definitely it's own thing, liked it a lot. Seems like it will be very dark what with all the little children getting abducted.
Assassination Classroom More of something great, liked it tons.
Norn9 Adaptation of an otome game, perhaps a bit weak... not a lot happened, may be better as a visual novel. On the other hand, there is something I may watch it for and that is the 'ship' the protags are in which is exactly the kind of environment I loooove, with that nice architecture and cozy places.
