So Status Quo Is God in the Trope Pantheon? I've got an idea around that, to be used in like 5 years time: what if we see what futures may happen if one of the alliances win? The heroic Time travel characters end up travelling to Bad Futures where the GUAE, GUAC and GUAL rule respectively, giving us an idea of what happens when they win?

[up] The outcomes would be pretty predictable. The GUAE would destroy and enslave everyone, The same thing goes with the GUAL, except the destruction part. And The GUAC will be the same thing except with the enslavement. And then the Time Traveling heroes go back into the main pantheon after a shitty Time Travel trip.

I don't think it's an idea worth doing.

[down] I told you to edit your post and you made a new one. very good.

In all seriousness, Nyarlathotep is the embodiment of evil in humans, not of every being in existence. Doom would be smart enough to not usurp a being who is basically God, who has no problems siccing his angels on him.

What about the idea of an Enemy Civil War where Nyarlathotep finally tries to usurp Melkor? Mainly because he's better at the "Embodiment of Evil" than Melkor anyway. Alternatively, we have Melkor attempt to reclaim his position of Big Bad after YHVH and Lucifer stole his thunder.

I still believe Dr Doom should attempt to usurp YHVH's position in the Law Civil War. Mainly because trying(and often succeeding at) stealing the power of a god is standard fare for Victor.

[up] Already got Morality Civil War, don't want to have another to mess with the pantheon.

Can I replace Fluttershy in the Force of Nature?

"How are going to choose who faces who in the Pantheonic Tournament? Even if it's gonna be random, there should a way to do so with so many teams."

I think that it would produce the best matches if we decide the matchups ourselves.

[up] And yes. I don't know jack about ponies, but Fluttershy doesn't seem like the type to enter a Battle Tournament.

[up][up] I didn't say when. I'm saving that for later.

So when after the Grand Disapperance should we do that Law Civil War? Also, I think it's perfectly in-character for Dr Doom to try and usurp the position as Overdeity of Law, so I think it would be nice for him to at least attempt. Maybe, as a tie-in to his magnificent usurping of ultimate power in both Secret Wars, he could hold that power, at least for a brief moment.

[down] I wanted Melkor to have some influence because I'm sick of him being thrown under the wayside for YHVH and Lucifer. I'm trying to give the original Big Bad of this story some villain cred. I just want him to have some vengeance on YHVH.

[up] Keep Dr. Doom out of this already. And Melkor. And do not split YVHV. Why do you have to make everything more complicated than it already is?

Clovis, I suggest that you stand down, keep in mind that if people do not show interest in your stuff, it's best not to push it all the way. You risk on annoying other people and then creating a drama bomb.

I replace Fluttershy with Storm in the Forces of Nature.

Updated PR Prologue....a bit. I do intend to put in Flonnezilla, Flonzor X, and Extreme Love in this battle. Oh the chaos to unfold. Of course, there had to be at least token comment about Flonne's figure, as it is a Running Gag.

-Edit: Since Enemy Without made it into bonus teams (I'm so happy), I'll give my ideas on it. That and Nephilim (stuff Chris can back up, since this stuff is based off Heroes Of The Storm play style)

-Enemy Without:

Name: Splintered Spirits.

Bernkastel: Leader, Support

Vanitas: Second In Command, Brawler

Darth Nilhus: Assassin

Dark Link: Tank

Dark Samus: Marksman

-Nephilim:

Valla: Leader, Markswoman (my bits of bias since Demon Hunter is my main in Diablo III). Demon Hunter was the top tier class in D3 AND so far consistently either Tier 1 or Tier 2 in Heroes Of The Storm.

Nazeebo: Territory Control

Sonya: Brawler

Khazrim: Medic, Assassin

Wizard???: Nuker.

At the moment, the Wizard's identity is the one in the Firefly novels: Li-Ming. What she lacked so far is HOTS presence, thus she can use the more normal Wizard kit in D3.

However, I don't know, but Valla seems better as The Lancer as she's kind of the one driven by pragmatism and may come off the coldest. You missed out Johanna, though, so maybe she could be the leader or sorts? Crusaders, y'know.

@ Chris X: But it's in-character of Dr Doom to pull this! Why does nobody want him to try? I want this to happen because it's what Dr Doom would, in all logic, do-try to form a coup on his team and gain ultimate power.

If I can guess it right, then the result would end up being a massive overhaul within the Pantheon. We were already struggling with the current form, we don't need to add another massive thing into the Pantheon's work list.

I mean, it's not wrong for being IC, but CLOVIS, you should just tone down your scope and work things out slowly. Don't keep forcing your idea in the name of 'in-character' when everyone are not too keen with it. It's not going to give you good standing and might ruin an otherwise decent idea.

[up][up] Because the point of the GUAL tale is to rework and reform GUAL to not be bunch of Lawful Evil assholes. Which includes Doom. And we really do not need these inconveniences across the way (because let's be honest, Doom sucks at actually keeping any power he actually gets his hands on).

[up]x3 YHVH and his angels would kill him on the spot as soon as possible should he ever decide to betray them.

Clovis, It's not a good idea that you should push your ideas on everyone else when they don't like it

[down] You just proved our point that Dr. Doom usurping YHVH was a bad idea.

  • There's really no need to think big here if no one agrees with your ideas.

You know what? Screw what I said. Dr Doom should just Screw This, I'm Outta Here! and abandon YHVH during the fight. The bottom line is I think Dr Doom should at least have something to do/contribute plot-wise. What do you think Dr Doom should do instead? I've got two ideas:

[up] Edited to your comment. Still sticking to my guns that Dr Doom has to do something, and I don't think a Magnificent Bastard like him will want to stick with YHVH anymore

  • It wouldn't be fair to Dr Doom if he just bums around. Regardless, I think Dr Doom would leave YHVH's groups because of your argument

[up] YHVH has no involvement in this story. It's just a parody of Santa is hurt so someone has to take his place to delivery the present.

[down] No. The only person involve would be Melkor and its just for silliness.

Idea: All the evil aligned characters in the pantheon get a Yule tide visit from Krampus as punishment for Melkor's actions. Not even on Christmas is the hand of karma lienent.
