Gonna be honest, right now, I much prefer both The Sevening and this abridged version
(which I feel actually does a better editing job with the text boxes).
Well, it's not like DBZA was a masterpiece from the very first episode. Give it some time.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Didn't find it funny, but I also didn't find it unfunny. I'll give it a few more episodes before calling it.
Also I've never heard of the Sevening but it sounds hilarious. Gonna go find that right now.
EDIT: I don't know what the deal is with their website but frames are skipping when I'm trying to watch. Guess I'm waiting for You Tube.

Final Fantasy VII: The Sevening
Here's Page 1.
It doesn't stay in color and the art gets better as you go.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! The first two episodes were ...alright.
I will give the series a chance though. As someone else said I hope they introduce some more sympathetic characters.
That first episode was way better than I thought it had any right to be. Most fun I've had with a TFS episode in ages- DBZ Abridged is starting to outright bore me now sometimes, but this had me giggling out loud like a madman on several occasions. Remind me to never doubt Antfish ever again.
For the record, I still love the original abridged series. The text box editing and all that was pretty fantastic, and even if the voice acting could've used some work, the writing was generally quality stuff- I still find myself quoting 909.7 (THE ZACK!) on occasion without any particular reason or context. Each version has its own merits. Right now, though... I'm leaning slightly towards this one.
"Well, I could tell you... BYE"
but HOW?I thought it was hilarious, though I'm sort of iffy on the end of episode 2 and how Cloud's situation is With Friends Like These..., but I trust Team Four Star, they haven't let me down yet comedy wise outside of some of Cooler 2 and even then it's because it's just a horrible movie.
As far as first episodes go, these were not bad at all. I think the actors still need to grow into their roles, and the characters definitely need an improvement right now (Barret is fine, but Tifa is only negative traits right now, and Cloud needs to start showing signs of himself instead of being the straight man and audience surrogate), but hey, first episode, I'll give it time.

It's supposed to be debuting tomorrow on their website, so I thought it deserves it's own thread.
