Do best-friends-to-lovers situations in media bother any of you? I find that I really don't like it when best friends (usually of different genders) end up "upgrading" their relationship to a romantic one. Like, I don't ship (romantically) in general, but if there's a ship like that, I'll aggressively anti-(romantically) ship it.
When we're done, there won't be anything left.Yeah no it bugs me too. I really hate it, I remember when Kim Possible was on and it almost looked like Ron and Kim wouldn't get together but they did anyways and it was the worst I had my first anti-ship as a kid with that. But I was familiar and hated the ship before that and hated the inevitable conclusion.

Same here, minus the fandom familiarity. I almost stopped watching the show out of anger.
I was largely indifferent (but what else is new) to Kim and Ron ending up together. I mean, yeah it followed the general trend of "boy and girl can't be friends they must be attracted to each other" but at the same time... it felt natural? They still acted the same way around each other and they just kissed more? There was even an episode where Ron does something stupid to impress Kim (stealing the blue and white suit for football I believe) and she's like "Nah, bro, you didn't need to do that I'm already here you don't need to act differently."
So yeah, at least it wasn't like those blatant "I'm your boyfriend we can't do friend stuff anymore" type deal is we always get.
Oh no I wasn't part of the fandom, I just knew from other shows where it was going. Because I knew the Friends To Lovers trope I knew a boy and a girl who insisted they were just friends would wind up together and in some shows there would be the underlying assumption that boys and girls couldn't be friends or there would be romance (because everybody is straight? Like that joke taken to logical conclusion would assume bi or pan people can't have friends).
I mean I guess, it was just that until the last season it seemed like they were friends and than suddenly there was all this romance and I felt betrayed by that. I'm glad it was a healthy portrayal but that didn't make me feel better about it.

A friend of mine once suggested I could go to Mardi Gras wearing a grey shirt that just said "NO" on it. I thought that was pretty funny
I didn't actually go (not my thing) but still the joke was good
For context, in Australia "Mardi Gras" is an annual Pride parade held in Sydney.

You need blood and he's got more than enough!

Our pets? I don't know, I don't even know if you have pets. Probably something more on topic (that was just a joke since I'm part of an aro chat group elsewhere and we talk about our pets a lot)
