Sigrun followed right after Hrolf and Salvator, not butting into their conversation but if they led her to raid the liquor storage then she wouldn't complain at all.

Cellar

The group departed the spiraling stairs to see a great stockpile of Wine, Ale, Mead and even Dwarven Whiskey.

"Perhaps because that is why you were named Vargr," Hrolf smiled as he took a stein and poured himself an Ale, "For the wolves who howled for the moon."

He paused and took a long drink, "Or perhaps, they only feared you had fleas."

"But I fear there is little to be helped," Hrolf replied between another sip, "Aside from good company, there is little else I can ask for. There will be a feast soon; before the sun is down; I'll have plenty of time to talk with you all then and after. For now, you're free to drink with me or, perhaps it would be wise to get a run of the castle."

Synne then snapped to attention having stood awkwardly aside watching the raid, "It would be my honour to show them around, my lord."

Feng's Study

"It is not the nature of the questions so much as who you are asking," Feng gave a weary smile, "There is a lot which a guard might tell you more freely than myself; the words of an Eorl may bear a weight that ought not be lent to rumours and hearsay that are the currency of politics."

"As to your final question," he paused, "I had hoped you would think the very same. Hrolf enjoys adventure and seeks out danger and I would hope that his friends could secure him as to lead him on travels where the danger would be little but his troubled mind could be much occupied."

"Well, lets drink them and I'll tell you all of the North and my hunts then. Perhaps it will prove a good tale" says Sigrun with a bright smile as she takes a whole bottle in hand, smiling as she feels the weight of it, taking out the cork and getting the scent of it... Yups, fine mead this one.

"Seeing the lay of your estate would be an interesting time indeed," Salvator said. "I've not had the run of a castle quite like this before."

"I, personally, would prefer to stay here and drink. Someone has to, right? I've already seen enough castles and keeps in my lifetime." Noluen, replied, opening a bottle for herself. In all honesty, this was the only castle she'd ever been to in her life, barring those she entered occasionally for the song and dance that was getting a sales permit.

From her robes she pulled out a plain tin cup with utilitarian binding around the handle. She poured some ale into it to drink.

Stairs

"Um, well, I hope you'll not take this wrong," Synne said, "But I think you might be the wisest. If only because you'll have your choice of guest room. Now... where do you want to want to see? ...Or is there anything you want to know?"

Cellar

"Then regale us, Sigrun," Hrolf said as he took a round, "The drinks are flowing and we will soon be a long time in feast."

With a grin and a long, big sip of the mead the wolven haired woman then begins her tale... taking the tone of voice, the tempo of speaking reserved for oratory, for sharing in the tales of glorious combat and hunt. She speaks for a while of the majesty of the North... of her trips weeks march away from any civilization, into trails away from what any men alive have seen. Of frozen lakes, undisturbed forests covered in a white blanket... of wolves near as big as a horse and her fights against them.

"If you think there would be no danger," Aeskell said, chuckling, "You do not know your nephew as well as you should - but it would be danger that he could handle, I suppose. He was never the sort to expect a knife in the back." The half-orc paused, then shrugged. "The front, maybe, but from our travels I quickly learned that he hadn't much of a head for... Stealth. Or subtlety." And when it is the half-orc saying that... "Regardless, I thank you for being so forthcoming," he said. "I should be going, however - I don't want the others to get too far ahead of me." The half-orc bowed and turned to go, but paused. "... Assuming they aren't all blocking a stairwell somewhere... They've likely gone where they could get the strongest drink they could. Where might that be?"

Noluen was completely enthralled by the barbarian's tales of heroics and strife. The tin cup she had raised to contemptuously drink slowly drifted down from her mouth as the stories went on.

Now this, this was the kind of adventure she craved. Death defying stunts, freezing wastes, allies by circumstance, treacherous betrayal, royal intrigue, stolen goo-

Okay, maybe she was adding plot from other epics, but Sigrun made a remarkable skald, even if just for herself. Her words were simple, yet the way she said them provided description enough.
