Going to be honest, this is not a good RP for someone who's new to RPing to join, it is a very demanding RP compared to the likes of AGOG or WAOA, where people will regularly post pages worth of material over all of their various characters. Glance at any random page and you'll probably see what I mean. So I'm going to have to recommend against joining this RP for you.

I have a plan.

    Gestahl (Main Character)
  • Name: Emperor Gestahl

  • Age: 50

  • Appearance: The time has come for us to claim our rightful dominion over the world!

  • Personality: Gestahl's dream is to use magic and technology to create an empire that rules the world. Gestahl is ruthless in attaining his goals, regularly experimenting on and enslaving his captives and exerting military force whenever possible. He is an insincere leader, and will happily betray his allies and mislead his own subjects as a means to an end. Gestahl's tastes are spartan to the extreme, and he is content with Vector being a polluted dystopia. While his methods are destructive, Gestahl ultimately wants the world to be left relatively intact for his empire to rule.

  • Powers: Gestahl can use black magic, likely derived from captive espers.

    • Firaga: Gestahl throws a fireball that explodes into a burst of flame on impact.

  • Equipment: N/A

  • Backstory: Gestahl was born to a military family in the state of what would become Vector in the Gestahlian Empire several decades ago. His father was involved in a military coup when Gestahl was 13 years old, and Gestahl was crowned Emperor some time later. During his time as Emperor, Gestahl researched ancient tales of magic and sorcery, leftover storied from a war that happened a thousand years ago. Gestahl discovered a world populated by magical beings known as espers during his rise to power, and lead a military invasion to conquer it. Before his forces were repelled from the other world, Gestahl captured several espers, including a half-esper child named Terra Branford. Following his invasion of the Esper World, Gestahl used his captives to invent Magitek, technology infused with magic, turning the empire into the most powerful nation in his world, and set his ambitions towards total world domination to create a Magic Empire.

    Kefka
  • Name: Kefka Palazzo

  • Age: 35

  • Appearance: Son of a submariner! (Alternate image)

  • Personality: At first glance, Kefka seems to be a bumbling (if highly unpleasant) clown. It would be a mistake to judge him based on his appearance, however. Kefka is an ambitious megalomaniac with delusions of grandeur and poor self control, and he actively revels in the chaos and misery he causes. At the same time, Kefka is a coward who will quickly forfeit a fight if it doesn't go his way. Kefka takes great pride in his appearance and takes care to wear makeup, eyeliner, and flamboyant clothing. He despises General Leo, and will try to undermine the authority of both friend and foe when it suits him.

  • Powers: Kefka is a Magitek Knight, and is imbuied with the power to use black magic.

    • Firaga: Kefka throws a magic fireball that explodes into a burst of flame on impact.

    • Blizzaga: Kefka throws a thick chunk of magic ice that flies through the air.

    • Thundaga: Kefka fires a powerful bolt of magic lightning. Thundaga is more taxing on Kefka's mana reserves than Blizzaga or Firaga.

    • Poison: Kefka summons globs of green poison, which can damage living beings but has little effect on machines, the undead, or inanimate objects.

    • Bio: Kefka summons a cloud of green bacterial matter, which can easily infect living beings but has little effect on machines, the undead, or inanimate objects. Bio is a more powerful form of Poison, but is more taxing on Kefka's mana reserves.

  • Equipment:

    • Flail: Weapon with a heavy, steel ball at the end of its chain.

  • Backstory: Little is known about Kefka's early history, though he probably has lived in the Empire for most of his life. When he was nineteen years of age or younger, Kefka underwent Magitek experimentation and became the Gestahlian Empire's first Magitek Knight. The process gave him the ability to use magic, which was thought to be impossible for humans to use in his world, but wrecked his sanity as a result. Instead of being fielded as a general in the Imperial army, Kefka became the Empire's court mage and ambassador. While he is notorious within Imperial circles, Kefka is not held in the same esteem as General Leo or General Celes, and he only has two bodyguards and Terra to his name.
    Celes
  • Name: General Celes Chere

  • Age: 18

  • Appearance: I'm a GENERAL, not some opera floozy!

  • Personality: Despite her young age, Celes is aloof and mature, and is slow to form bonds with anyone or show vulnerability. She was raised in the Empire and has comitted atrocities in its name, though deep down, she is skeptical of the Empire's motives. She is particularly close to Cid, who has raised her as a surrogate daughter.

  • Powers: Celes is a Magitek Knight, and is imbuied with the power to use black and white magic.

    • Blizzaga: Celes throws a thick chunk of magic ice that flies through the air.

    • Cure: Celes uses white magic to heal minor wounds and injuries.

    • Holy: Celes fires multiple orbs of holy energy that fly through the air.

  • Equipment:

    • Mythril Sword: Simple sword forged from mythril.

  • Backstory: Celes was imbued with Magitek at a young age, and was quickly fielded as one of the Empire's generals. During her service, Celes was responsible for taking the city of Maranda. Now, at the age of 18, Celes is having deep doubts over the Empire's goals. Celes was raised by Cid during her childhood, and she remains close to the scientist. Celes is fairly important in the Empire's military, and is often sent whenever Gestahl wants to take a major location for the Empire's uses.
    Terra
  • Name: Terra Branford

  • Age: 18

  • Appearance: Ugh... I can't remember a thing... It's like my mind's trapped in a fog....

  • Personality: Terra Branford doesn't have much of a personality to speak of, her emotions and thoughts being controlled by the Slave Crown. If the Slave Crown were ever to be removed, she would still remain amnesiac and impressionable, and likely in the debt of whoever frees her.

  • Powers: Terra is half-esper, and is imbued with the power to use black and white magic.

    • Firaga: Terra throws a magic fireball that explodes into a burst of flame on impact.

    • Cure: Terra uses white magic to heal minor wounds and injuries.

    • Holy: Terra fires multiple orbs of holy energy that fly through the air.

    • Trance: Terra transforms into an esper, unlocking her latent magical potential and increasing her power drastically. She also has the ability to fly in this form. Terra tends to lose control as an esper, and basically acts as a wild animal.

  • Equipment:

    • Mythril Knife: Sturdy adventurer's knife forged from pure mythril.

    • Slave Crown: A Magitek device created by Kefka, the Slave Crown has the ability to control the thoughts and actions of Terra.

  • Backstory: Terra was born in the Esper World to an esper father, Maduin, and a human mother, Madeline. When she was still an infant, Emperor Gestahl discovered her home and attempted a raid. Gestahl killed her mother and captured Terra and Maduin, bringing them back to the Empire. Terra was raised as an Imperial superweapon, and at some point, Kefka placed the Slave Crown on her, which left her brainwashed and emotionless. Terra now serves as a Magitek Knight, under the service of Kefka or any other high-ranking Imperial soldier.
    Leo
  • Name: General Leo Cristophe

  • Age: 30

  • Appearance: You're a human being before you're a soldier. Don't be so eager to throw away your life.

  • Personality: General Leo is revered in the Empire for his bravery and loyalty. A man of morals, General Leo is liked by underlings, and he makes a point to treat the Empire's enemies with respect even during war. General Leo is aware of Kefka's poor conduct, but he doesn't usually get in Kefka's way despite being higher-ranked in the Imperial hierarchy.

  • Powers: General Leo's skills with the blade are unmatched within the Empire.

  • Equipment:

    • Crystal Sword: Glittering blade cut from an enormous crystal shard.

  • Backstory: General Leo was born in Vector, capital of the Empire, and worked his way up to the top of the military's ranks. While most of the Empire's elites have magic powers, General Leo never underwent Magitek infusion, relying solely on his sword skills. General Leo is one of Gestahl's favorites, and is usually sent to handle the Empire's most important tasks.
    Cid
  • Name: Cid Del Norte Marquez

  • Age: 46

  • Appearance: Oh, what have I done...? There's no excuse for it, no matter how much Kefka may have threatened me...

  • Personality: Cid is a man of science, and is usually at work in the confines of the Magitek Research Facility. He is willing to participate in experimenting on the Empire's captive Espers, though the process of doing so has left him shaken. Cid raised Celes as his surrogate daughter, and he tends to a greenhouse in his spare time.

  • Powers: N/A

  • Equipment: N/A

  • Backstory: Cid invented the process of Magitek as the chief genetic engineer of the Gestahlian Empire, which involves the extraction of magic from espers and the infusion of the power into humans or machines. Cid used the Magitek process on Kefka and Celes, but despite his inventions, he was against the Empire's warmongering and resented his discoveries being used for violence. Unknown to Emperor Gestahl, Cid had delayed his findings by at least a decade to stifle the Empire's plans. Cid still works in the bowels of the Magitek Research Facility most of the time, but he secretly hopes someone can stop the Empire's plans for world domination.
    Vector (Chunk)
  • Vector: Vector is the Imperial capital of the Gestahlian Empire, and the hometown for many of the Empire's most important subjects. The city is heavily patrolled by Imperial troops, and the skies and land surrounding the city are polluted due to the heavy presence of factories and machines. Vector is a fairly modern city with electricity and plumbing, though its features are rather spartan. Vector has several distinct locations.

    • Wilderness: Vector is surrounded by two large forests, as well as three mountainous regions.

    • Lower West Side: The Lower West Side encompasses the area around the southern entrance of Vector. A fairly poor district, the Lower West Side contains stores for weapons and armor, as well as an inn lead by a disreputable man. Much of the housing in the Lower West Side consists of shacks and slummy tenements, with plenty of construction going on. The Lower West Side is home to the Returners, an anti-Imperial resistance group with several members stationed in Vector. A rail system to the east leads to the Magitek Research Facility.

    • Upper West Side: The Upper West Side encompasses the area close to the Imperial Palace's entrance. This neighborhood is much more affluent than the Lower West Side, and is heavily patrolled by Imperial soldiers. Most of the buildings here are tenements and condominiums, built atop the various hills that make up this area. A quiet pub in the Upper West Side serves as a major base for the Returners, who are an anti-imperial resistance group.

    • Magitek Research Facility: This massive industrial complex takes up the eastern side of Vector. The Magitek Research Facility contains a factory where the Empire's Magitek war machines are produced on assembly lines, a garbage chute where dead espers are disposed, and Cid's personal laboratory where the magic essence of the espers is drained. A large indoor transportation system stretches through the facility, leading out to the Lower West Side.

    • Imperial Palace: The Imperial Palace is located in the center of the city of Vector, and it is where Gestahl reigns over the Empire. The palace itself lacks the finery and grandeur of what is expected from a royal abode and is instead highly industrialized and more akin to a factory. The Imperial Palace is under strict guard by the Imperial elite, and the exterior of the palace is protected by the Guardian.

    • North of the Palace: The neighborhoods north of the Imperial Palace contain many factories and refineries that burn up endless amounts of coal and oil. This part of the city has less of a military presence than the others. A polluted river runs through the neighborhoods north of the palace.

    The Empire
  • The Gestahlian Empire: The Empire is ruled by Emperor Gestahl and his two highest-ranking generals, Celes Chere and Leo Cristophe. Kefka Palazzo is Gestahl's ambassador and court mage who acts as a free-lance agent, pursuing the Empire's interests that for whatever reason Leo is not dispatched on. Cid Del Norte Marquez is the Empire's chief genetic engineer, with his contributions to the Magitek process being an integral part of the Empire's war machine. Various lesser-ranked officers lead the Empire's field skirmishes. Under Gestahl's command, the Empire seeks total world domination.

    • Basic Imperial Troops: Various armored soldiers make up the largest wing of the Empire's army. Green-armored soldiers are the lowest rank in the Imperial army, serving as cadets. Brown-armored soldiers comprise most of the Empire's forces. Crimson-armored soldiers are closely associated with Kefka. Blue-armored soldiers act as the police force in Vector. Imperial soldiers typically use spears and swords as weapons.

    • Imperial Officers: The Empire's officers wear black armor, and are equipped with shields, axes, and heavy armor.

    • Imperial Elite: The most elite soldiers consist of Emperor Gestahl's personal guard, equipped with shields, axes, and heavy armor.

    • Imperial Maintenance Troops: The Empire's engineers tend to be short and hunchbacked men who carry wrenches made from nickel or mythril. They serve a non-combatant role in the Empire's army, maintaining the Empire's advanced machinery.

    • Magitek Armor: The most powerful wing of the Empire's army is the Magitek armor division. Magitek armor requires a human to operate, usually a regular soldier. Suits of Magitek armor come equipped with laser weaponry and missile launchers, and their legs can be used for powerful kicks. Magitek armor units are study and fairly durable, but can be easily short-circuted with water or electricity.

    • Imperial Air Force: The Empire's relatively small and weak air power consists of flying Magitek machines similar to regular Magitek armor units. These flying machines posses laser weaponry.

    • Tunnel Armor: A Magitek burrowing machine that is capable of digging through the earth with powerful claws. It can defend itself with a powerful laser beam. Destroyed by the forces of Zi-Jin Cheng.

    • Guardian: The Empire's ultimate Magitek weapon used to protect the city of Vector, capable of firing devastating Magitek-powered laser beams. The Guardian is heavily armored, but very slow and cumbersome, and is only deployed in times of crisis or when the Imperial Palace is being invaded.

    • Dobermanns: Woof! Woof!
    Espers
  • Espers: Espers are magical beings leftover from a great war that happened a thousand years ago. They exist in many forms, and are capable of not only using magic spells, but passing it onto other beings through the Magitek process, or by transforming into Magicite. Magicite crystals can be formed when an esper dies, but a small amount of their essence exists within the crystal, and anyone who keeps the crystal can temporarily summon the esper in full form, so long as they keep the Magicite. Espers are powerful magic users, and can only be summoned once a day. Magicite can also grant the user magic abilities as they hold it in their possession. Only regular, non-powered humans can benefit from espers and the Magicite, and only one Magicite crystal can be held at a time.

  • Ifrit: Ifrit is imbued with the power of fire, and he can teach his wielders how to use Firaga.

    • Firaga: Ifrit teaches his wielder how to throw a magic fireball that explodes into a burst of flame on impact.

    • Hellfire: Ifrit spins around in a circle midair, covering a large area in the flames of hell itself.

  • Shiva: Shiva is imbued with the power of ice, and she can teach her wielders how to use Blizzaga.

    • Blizzaga: Shiva teachers her wielder how to throw a thick chunk of magic ice that flies through the air.

    • Diamond Dust: Shiva summons a blizzard from her fingertips.

  • Unicorn: Unicorn is a holy beast, and can teach its wielder how to use Cure.

    • Cure: Unicorn teaches its wielder how to use curative white magic, healing minor wounds and injuries.

    • Healing Horn: Unicorn uses its magic horn to cure multiple people of various negative ailments.

  • Maduin: Terra Branford's father is one of the espers who was captured by the Empire, and he can teach his wielders how to use Firaga, Blizzaga, and Thundaga. Currently owned by Misaki Kirihara of Hell's Gate Tokyo.

    • Firaga: Maduin teaches his wielder how to throw a magic fireball that explodes into a burst of flame on impact.

    • Blizzaga: Maduin teachers his wielder how to throw a thick chunk of magic ice that flies through the air.

    • Thundaga: Maduin teaches his wielder how to fire bolt of magic lightning.

    • Chaos Wave: Maduin unleashes a tide of anger on his enemies, in the form of pure energy.

  • Catoblepas: An ugly, one-eyed esper that can teach its wielders how to use Bio. Currently owned by Goro Kobayashi of Hell's Gate Tokyo.

    • Bio: Catoblepas teaches its wielder how to summon a cloud of green bacterial matter, which can easily infect living beings but has little effect on machines, the undead, or inanimate objects.

    • Demon Eye: Catoblepas uses its cursed glare to turn a low-level enemy into stone.

  • Bismarck: A whale-like esper that can teach Firaga, Blizzaga, and Thundaga. Currently owned by Strelok of The Zone.

    • Firaga: Bismarck teaches his wielder how to throw a magic fireball that explodes into a burst of flame on impact.

    • Blizzaga: Bismarck teachers his wielder how to throw a thick chunk of magic ice that flies through the air.

    • Thundaga: Bismarck teaches his wielder how to fire bolt of magic lightning.

    • Breach Blast: Bismarck flies through the air, slamming a large area with water.

Alright, so I've decided to jump back in with a new chunkless, Hyde and the In-Births from Under Night In-Birth.

Main Character

  • Name: Hyde Kido
  • Age: Teenager. In-Birth lacks official ages for the characters.
  • Appearance: Not as edgy as he looks.
  • Personality: Hyde is generally strong-willed and cool-headed, though he can get a bit cocky in the heat of battle. He cares a lot about his friends, and is unfortunately prone to making stupid decisions in the name of protecting them. Also gets flustered pretty easily around hot women. That said, he secretly wants his ordinary school life back at the end of the day.
  • Backstory: Hyde was a normal high school boy until he was suddenly attacked by a Void – a creature that feasts on human souls. He was saved from death by an odd young girl named Linne, but that encounter changed his life forever. From then on, he was an In-Birth, a being with supernatural abilities who is neither living nor dead. Soon after, Linne and Waldstein began to teach him how to harness his newfound powers. From that point he trained himself, whilst hoping inwardly that one day he would no longer need to fight.
  • Powers/Abilities: **In-Birth: In-Births are said to be between the realm of the living and the dead, and thus are not easily killed. He can survive some things that would otherwise be fatal to a human, such as a bullet in his vitals. Grievous enough injuries, such as decapitation or a death inflicted by some strong supernatural power, will still kill him normally. In-Births are also faster, more powerful, and more durable than normal humans. Hyde in particular is the most balanced In-Birth in this respect, having all in relatively equal measure.
    • Void Red: Hyde’s special In-Birth power allows him to manipulate red and black dark energy known as “Void Red” for a variety of purposes. He can use it on his sword to increase the power and range of his melee strikes, and he can throw it at his enemies in the form of projectile attacks. Flashier uses of Void Red, such as using it to create gigantic beams capable of hitting many targets at once, physically strain Hyde, so he tries not to go overboard with this.
  • Skills: **Swordsmanship: Hyde has learned the ropes of swordplay during his time fighting other In-Births.
  • Equipment: The Insulator: A katana that is said to be the most powerful of all the In-Birth weapons. All In-Birth weapons are bound to the user and can be magically summoned or dismissed by their user at will.

Supporting Cast

  • Name: Seth
  • Age: Teenager, at least physically. Is older chronologically, but just how much so is unclear.
  • Appearance: Here.
  • Personality: Stoic, overly serious, and seemingly unable to get over the sins of ancestors’ past. He can be a real jerk to people, but he does try to do what he thinks is right. That said, his idea of right involves pursuing his goals no matter the cost, and he is more than willing to fight or even kill if he believes it is in service of a greater cause. He is, in short, an antihero.
  • Backstory: Seth comes from a line of ninjas known as the “Night Blade”. Long ago, a gigantic magic snake attacked their village. None of their weapons worked on the strange beast, until a mysterious visitor suddenly appeared and gave them access to a power called Existence, better known as EXS. With this newfound strength, they vanquished their foe, but there were now new problems. People became intoxicated with their new powers, and most of the organization known as the Night Blade ended up killing each other in disputes over land and other petty matters. Seth, one of the last remaining descendants of the clan, pledged that he would make up for the sins of his ancestors in whatever way he could. He began to hunt down Voids, hostile monsters that have begun appearing and attacking humans ever since the power of EXS appeared, as well as other hostile In-Births (the name given to humans who wield EXS). The last thing he can remember before being whisked away is trying to free a girl named Linne from her immortal life she no longer wishes to have. His failure over the years to keep this promise is a large part of why he is the way he is now.
  • Powers/Abilities: **Super Speed: Seth is easily the most nimble character in Under Night. As a measure of speed, he can contest speeding cars on foot if he wishes, can double jump, dash through the air, and run up walls.
    • Projectiles: Seth can summon projectiles made of strange dark energy that both harm and briefly stun their target.
    • Teleportation: Seth can teleport short distances (around 10 feet) to escape from dangerous situations and/or get behind his opponents.
    • In-Birth: Same deal as Hyde. Compared to Hyde, Seth specializes much more in speed, as mentioned previously. Still hits pretty hard for how quick he is.
    • Shaodw Clone: In typical anime ninja fashion, Seth can create clones of himself to aid in battle. They’re pretty flimsy and will vanish at the slightest amount of force.
  • Skills: **CQC: Seth is quite skilled at martial arts and close range fighting in general.
    • Stealth: He’s also a sneeki boi.
  • Equipment: Twin Swords – Eliminator: A pair of large daggers that are bound to Seth. He can magically summon them to his side at any time.

  • Name: Waldstein
  • Age: Hundreds of years old at least. Probably about as old as Linne.
  • Appearance: Buff Grandpa is back in town, and he’s tired of these Gen Z kids and their default Fortnite dances.
  • Personality: Waldstein likes fighting. Like, a lot. He lives for the thrill of battle, and he has no time to deal with weak opponents. Despite his gruffness, he’s a genuinely nice guy who cares a lot for Linne, and doesn’t take kindly to people picking on those less powerful than themselves.
  • Backstory: Waldstein was once a member of Licht Kreiss, and organization dedicated to maintaining justice and order after the appearance of the Voids. At one point Waldstein was nearly turned into a Void after getting attacked by one, and was just barely saved by Linne’s brother Kuon. The encounter not only gave him the typical strengths of an In-Birth, but also made him into a strange part human part Void being. Remembering Kuon’s kindness, he quit the Licht Kreiss and ended up joining the Night Blade, where he served for many years as Linne’s protector in hopes that he can free her from the immortal life she wants no part of.
  • Powers/Abilities: **In-Birth: See Seth and Hyde.

    • Super Strength: Waldstein’s In-Birth ability doesn’t grant him flashy magical stuff, but he hardly needs it. He is instead gifted tremendous strength that allows him to flip over cars and withstand tremendous damage. Of all the characters, this dude is clearly the tank of the group.
  • Skills: **Fighting: Well, the guy knows what he likes. Guy’s got a virtual eternity of combat experience under his belt that lets him grapple with the best of them.
  • Equipment: **The Destroyers: Giant Iron Claws that Waldstein generally doesn’t take off very often.

  • Name: Linne
  • Age: Hundreds of years old at least.
  • Appearance: She smoll.
  • Personality: She’s generally stoic and cool-headed, though some things such as candy can break through her cold exterior. She’s plagued with guilt over the fact that she’s inadvertently taken many lives thanks to her power of reincarnation. Doesn’t like being looked down upon for being small or ‘just a kid’, and underestimating her for such reasons tends to be a sore spot for her.
  • Backstory: Centuries before the start of UNIEL, Linne and her brother Kuon were subject to experiments that “gifted” them with true immortality. Even if their bodies died, their souls would just move on to a new host, killing them so that she may continue living. This cycle continues on and on, leaving Linne feeling guilty about the people she has killed through no will of her own thanks to this power. Eventually she hears of a sword has the power to finally end this cycle of rebirth – the sword that belongs to Hyde. Before she gets her chance, she receives a strange message about something called the “Hollow Night”, where she runs into Hyde.
  • Powers/Abilities: **In-Birth: See Seth and Hyde.
    • Super Speed: Just like Seth, Linne is incredibly mobile in combat. The two are about equal in speed.
    • Light: Several of Linne’s attacks throw out powerful beams of light, in contrast to Hyde’s darkness powers. Both are used to roughly the same effect.
  • Skills: She’s good with both broadswords and daggers, and is able to use both in combat at the same time proficiently.
  • Equipment: **Nameless: Linne carries around a small dagger and a large blade, neither of which she has given names to.

  • Name: Gordeau
  • Age: Adult. Just don’t call him old, please. It’s rude.
  • Appearance: Here’s Gordy.
  • Personality: Pretty chill dude, all in all. Likes to crack jokes and bro around with people, but he can still get testy with people who are particularly unreasonable.
  • Backstory: Gordeau is a former member of Amnesia, a mysterious organization that opposes both the Licht Kreiss and the Night Blade. One day, his friend Roger was turned into a void and promptly slain by a Knight of the Licht Kreiss, Erica Wagner. From that point on, he went off to search for the Knight and avenge his fallen comrade.
  • Powers/Abilities: **In-Birth: See Seth and Hyde. A bit more on the balanced side when it comes to physical prowess, much like Hyde.
    • Claws: Gordeau’s power allows him to grow big purple claws out of his fingers, Wolverine style. Normally they can rip parts of a person’s soul out of their body a la Shao Kahn, but that might be a bit busted. Just throwing it out there, just in case.
  • Skills: Guy knows how to swing a scythe, and possibly charm some ladies. Put that last thing in the “maybe” column.
  • Equipment: Demon Sickle – Devourer: A very large scythe that Gordeau can summon at will.

  • Name: Vatista
  • Age: Very old, despite her appearance.
  • Appearance: She’s like Zero Two, but anime.
  • Personality: Virtually emotionless and without any understanding of common sense, to the point Hyde had to explain the necessity of things like clothes to her.
  • Backstory: Vatista is one of the few remaining Autonomic Nerves – magical constructs created with the sole purposes of killing Voids. Her past isn’t something she really gets into beyond her constant battles with the Voids, but an interesting fact is that she gave one of her wing swords to Kuon, who used it to slay the Void before it could claim Waldstein. Much later, this sword would fall into Hyde’s hands and become known as the Insulator. The two later met and became friends.
  • Powers/Abilities: **Magical Robot: Despite the name of the chunkless, Vatista is not an In-Birth. She’s not even a human at all. Rather, she is a synthetic being known as an Autonomic Nerve – a being created to kill Voids. As such, her body doesn’t have the limitations of a human like needing food or rest, and she can be repaired and patched up as with any artificial being. Automatic Nerves are created moreso with magic than advanced technology, but otherwise are functionally very similar.
    • Projectiles: Vatista has a repertoire of long range weaponry. Primarily she fights with lasers, but she can also shoot bullets out of her fingers. By charging up energy, she can also fire large fireballs. Lastly, she can throw out crystals that explode at her command.
    • Flight: Those wings aren’t just for show.
    • Sword Wings: Weirdly, her wings are also prehensile swords that she can use to attack people in close range.
  • Skills: Outside of her combat ability, Vatista doesn’t have many practical skills. She can make repairs on her body, but that’s about it.
  • Equipment: Pretty much covered by powers. She’s a living weapon, after all.

I needed to fill the Delta Squad hole in my heart, and Grey's sign-up gave me a idea..so here ya go, have a chunkless sign up

Chunkless:Omega Squad
Main Character
  • Name: Tristana
  • Age:19
  • Appearance:"Orders are more like guidelines, really."
  • Personality: A very trigger happy Yordle, Tristana often fights with her squad doing the dirtiest ways of fighting, preferring to shoot first and ask questions later. She has a few romantic feelings for Teemo, though she hides it to look tough to her squad. Tristana is not one to listen to orders or rules and prefers to do things her wayenemies.
  • Powers:
    • Yordle: While Yordles are physically shorter and weaker than normal humans, they make for it with the fact they are faster and agile than a normal human.
  • Equipment:
    • Plasma Cannon:A cannon Tristana uses as her main weapon, she can also use it to rocket jump a far distance to either catch a enemy, move around or to escape.
  • Backstory:Commander of the Omega Squad, Tristana, has made it her policy never to retreat unless she's returning fire the entire way home. She calls it "advancing backwards." She was killed in action along with most of the squad excluding Teemo during a battle..though thanks to the Cure, now Omega Squad was revived and back from the dead.

Supporting Cast

  • Name: Teemo
  • Age: 23
  • Appearance:"I used to live by a code..."
  • Personality: Once a chipper, friendly and nice Yordle, the horrors of war and the death of his team took that all away and replaced it with coldness, mental traumas and anger, leaving a shell of a yordle who has no care of anybody but himself, distrustful of humans, willingness to kill his targets in brutal ways, and suffering from a case of PTSD. He feels like being in war is the only thing that makes him feel alive now.
  • Powers:
    • Yordle: While Yordles are physically shorter and weaker than normal humans, they make for it with the fact they are faster and agile than a normal human.

  • Equipment:
    • Toxic Gun:A advanced gun Teemo has, it not only can fire toxic projectiles, it also can fire a empowered shot that can blind a target that was hit by the shot for 3 seconds.
    • Noxious Mines: Teemo carries multiple mines that he can plant in the ground that can then blend in the environment, serving as traps. Once somebody triggers it, it explodes, creating a explosive and toxic blast that not only hurts the target, but poisons them.
    • Combat Knife
  • Backstory:Teemo once lived by a code. He's long since forgotten what it was, or even what started the fighting, but he does remember two things: nobody's innocent, and always settle your scores. He was deeply traumatized not only by the war, but also due to his squad being KIA, leaving a shell of the former chopper and happy yordle he once used to me.

  • Name:Twitch
  • Age:26
  • Appearance:"Have you met my fleas?"
  • Personality:If one could describe Twitch, the best way to describe him would be that he is off his rockers. Loving dangerous and disgusting things like poison, venom, diseases and bad smell, Twitch is not the person you want to be near...Due to his bad smell. Though despite his insanity and weirdness, he cares for the well being of his squad...in his own way.
  • Powers:
    • Mutant Rat: Twitch is fast and agile, not only that, but being a rat, his sense of smell and hearing are way better than a normal human. Due to his mutation, Twitch is able to become invisible for 30 seconds, being able to hide from sight, though heat vision, sonar sense, and magical fields are able to detect him...and besides the horrible smell he has often gives away to others that he is there.
  • Equipment:
    • Toxic Rifle: A hi-tech hextech rifle which fires bullets with poisonous toxins in it.
    • Toxic Grenades: Twitch carries with him grenades which have the same toxins as his rifle.
    • Combat Knife.
    • Medical Gear: Twitch serves as the medic of Omega Squad and has gear to treat his allies...though his insanity and trauma made him prefer more going to combat and get a high body count instead of treating his allies.
  • Backstory:Squad medic-and deranged lunatic-Twitch has been deeply and irreversibly affected by war. It's been a long time since he was a competent medical professional, as he no longer abides by the adage "do no harm." He was killed in action along with most of the squad excluding Teemo during a battle..though thanks to the Cure, now Omega Squad was revived and back from the dead.

  • Name:Veigar
  • Age:20
  • Appearance:"It's only a short way? IS THAT A SHORT JOKE?!"
  • Personality:Despite his short size, one has to be careful of being near him, considering his love of blowing anything...or anybody for being a threat, or making fun of his size with his artillery. Veigar has a love of using excessive force against his enemies. He also cares for his squadmates, even though he refuses to admit it, and has somewhat of a distrust with humans, due to in the past being captured and tortured by Noxians.
  • Powers:
    • Yordle: While Yordles are physically shorter and weaker than normal humans, they make for it with the fact they are faster and agile than a normal human.

  • Equipment:
    • Plasma Rifle: Veigar carries a plasma rifle that can launch a plasma bolt.
    • Power Gauntlet: Veigar wears a gauntlet that channels his magical abilities, launching a magical bolt that can hit 2 targets and deal a good amount of damage. He can also empower the gauntlet with all his magic, launching a powerful magic missile that deals more damage depending on how wounded his target is.
    • Electrical Cage: Veigar can summon a circular fence that lasts for 4 seconds, if somebody touches the cage, they get electrocuted and are stunned for a few seconds.
  • Backstory:A heavy artillery specialist with a serious chip on his shoulders, Veigar has a troubling habit of calling down huge amounts of explosive ordnance for even the most mundane problems. He thinks of it as "a fun quirk." He was killed in action along with most of the squad excluding Teemo during a battle..though thanks to the Cure, now Omega Squad was revived and back from the dead.

  • Name:Fizz
  • Age:19
  • Appearance:"The mighty shark stalks it's prey!" Without his body armor and helmet
  • Personality: Despite his threatening armor, Fizz is the cheeriest and optimistic of the squad, often doing playful pranks to others, and sometimes to his team, though meaning no harm in them. While he often cracks jokes with his team, when combat happens, his playful attitude goes away, filled with seriousness and willingness to take down his enemy...lethally.
  • Powers:
    • Yordle: While Yordles are physically shorter and weaker than normal humans, they make for it with the fact they are faster and agile than a normal human. Due to being a amphibian Yordle, Fizz is able to breathe underwater with no problem whatsoever. Compared to the average Yordle, Fizz is pretty acrobatic, able to do many flips, dash around and dodge enemy attacks with his acrobatics.
  • Equipment:
    • Trident:Fizz carries a trident that he uses for melee combat, and also use it for acrobatics and to avoid enemy attacks.
  • Backstory:Omega Squad's saboteur, Fizz is skilled in underwater combat. It is unclear what kind of action he saw before joining up, however, as he only ever refers to the sea as "a bucket of chum." He was killed in action along with most of the squad excluding Teemo during a battle..though thanks to the Cure, now Omega Squad was revived and back from the dead.

Sooo after burning out with my last two ideas, hopefully this one works out a bit better. Gonna be bringing in the Netherworld from Disgaea Hour of Darkness. Might add some more stuff under the locations section later, who knows – I’ll make it known if I do.

Main Character

    Laharl
  • Name: Laharl
  • Age: 1313
  • Appearance: Here.
  • Personality: Once an arrogant hothead who preferred to solve everything by force, Laharl has mellowed out somewhat since Hour of Darkness. He’s not outwardly nice like Flonne, but he is more levelheaded and can see the value of peaceful negotiations.
  • Powers: Laharl specializes in fire/meteor based abilities. His Blazing Knuckle is a close ranged fiery punch, Overlord’s Wrath summons small fiery meteorites that he hurls at his opponent, and Meteor Impact sends one large (maybe about the size of a car/truck) meteorite that plummets into the ground with great force. In terms of physical strength, he’s strong enough to lift a car. Lastly, one power that he and all demons share is that he can breathe in space.
  • Equipment: Baal Sword: A huge blade he earned by slaying the Tyrant Overlord Baal.
  • Backstory: Laharl was born to a human mother and his demon father, King Kriechevskoy, the previous Overlord of the Netherworld. One day, Laharl became sick with a fatal disease that had no known cure. His mother ended up having to sacrifice her life to cure the illness, and his father later died fighting off a demon known as Tyrant Overlord Baal, who threatened to conquer the Netherworld. Though Laharl was heir to the Overlord’s throne, the other demons were already fighting amongst themselves, having long forgotten about Prince Laharl entirely. With his loyal vassal Etna, the love obsessed Flonne, and some strange humans, Laharl went on a journey in which he not only proved his worthiness of the title Overlord by becoming powerful enough to defeat Baal, he also learned that human values like love are ok things for demons to have. In moderation, anyway.

Supporting Cast

    Etna
  • Name: Etna
  • Age: 1470
  • Appearance: Here.
  • Personality: Sassy, snarky, and a bit hot tempered if you know how to push her buttons. She isn’t always open about her feelings, but she does care a lot about Laharl and Flonne.
  • Powers: She has her Sexy Beam, which is just a laser beam that isn’t particularly sexy at all. She can also summon Prinnies, which can used like hand grenades when thrown due to their explosive properties. In terms of physical strength, she’s on par with Laharl.
  • Equipment: Pillar of Dialgo, her spear.
  • Backstory: Etna was the loyal vassal of Laharl’s father until the very end, having the utmost reverence for the man as both a leader of demons and just as a person. It is later revealed that she attempted to poison Laharl, which is why he was “sleeping” for two years – presumably he was knocked unconscious. This is because she was blackmailed by a vampire who stole the memories of her past and threatened to never return them unless she killed Prince Laharl. Once she did get her memory back and admit what she did, Laharl just kind of shrugged and asserted that kind of underhandedness was exactly what made her an ideal demon, so that incident doesn’t seem to have bothered him much.
    Flonne
  • Name: Flonne
  • Age: 1509
  • Appearance: Here.
  • Personality: One of the most kindhearted and good people in all of the Netherworld. She’s been dubbed by Laharl a “Love Freak” because of her intense dedication to spreading her ideal of love to even the most hardened demons. Secretly a bit of an otaku.
  • Powers: Flonne specializes in magic, having access not only to healing magic but also, elemental, and ally buffing magic. Her bow also fires holy-powered arrows.
  • Equipment: She carries the Genesis Wand to enhance her magic, as well as the Divinity bow.
  • Backstory: Flonne came to the Netherworld as a naive angel trainee hailing from Celestia, the Disgaea equivalent to Heaven. Though Seraph Lamington claimed he sent her to assassinate Laharl, in reality she was sent to teach him the importance of love. Laharl, angry that his mother lost her life because she sacrificed herself for his sake, could previously only conceive of love as something that only brought people pain. Flonne was later punished for attacking other angels of Celestia alongside Laharl, though in practice this hasn’t really changed anything about her.
    CAPTAIN GORDON, DEFENDER OF EARTH!
  • Name: CAPTAIN GORDON, DEFENDER OF EARTH!
  • Age: 35
  • Appearance: Here.
  • Personality: Gordon is incredibly dedicated to JUSTICE and heroism, though he’s not the sharpest tool in the shed.
  • Powers: He’s a crack shot that’s good at being hammy, but that’s really about it. He’s still a normal human.
  • Equipment: A pistol.
  • Backstory: Gordon is a space traveling hero that the Earth Defense Force has put in charge of, well, defending Earth. He is sent to the Netherworld to attack the demons, which the EDF fears are a danger to humanity. Once Gordon, Jennifer, and Thursday see the Laharl and the other demons aren’t interested in invading Earth, they eventually come to a truce and decide to work together. Well, that and their ship crashed, so much to Laharl’s annoyance he has no idea how he’s supposed to shove these weirdos back home.
    Jennifer
  • Name: Jennifer
  • Age: 27
  • Appearance: Here.
  • Personality: She’s a flirt who likes to tease people, much to Laharl’s dismay. Despite her… unusual outfit, she’s a woman of science who is fascinated by robots.
  • Powers: She’s a master martial artist with incredible knowledge about robotics and engineering in general. Beyond that, she has no actual powers.
  • Equipment: Ultimus, a fist weapon.
  • Backstory: Jennifer created Thursday at age 5 and earned her PHD at age 10, which goes to show how remarkable her scientific knowledge is. How she’s merely Gordon’s sidekick is anyone’s guess.
    Thursday
  • Name: Thursday
  • Age: 22
  • Appearance: Here.
  • Personality: Though he has a flat, robotic voice, he has a sense of humor and is not above making fun of Gordon from time to time. He shares Gordon’s dedication to justice and heroism.
  • Powers: Thursday can not only make a gun pop out of his body, but also turn into a gun himself through magichanging.
  • Equipment: N/A, besides the guns that are part of his body.
  • Backstory: Not much is known about Thursday’s life except that he was created by Jennifer to assist her and Gordon in defending the Earth.

Chunk Name: The Netherworld

  • Laharl’s Castle – A big ol castle in a dark Netherworld. This is where the action is.

    • Locations: The Main Hallway: Where you end up if you enter through the front door. Has an incredibly fancy chandelier that makes you question how some punk kid affords to live in this place.

    • Hall of Treasure: Laharl has a vast array of treasures hidden in the upper floors within in his castle. Some of them are just useless crap, but still, there’s a lot of valuable items for anyone daring enough to fight their way in there.

    • The Dark Assembly: The room primarily where people go to complain to Laharl and his senators about basically whatever. Go here if you want to speak about official political chunk business™.

    • Land of Carnage: Approach a Prinny Guide in the castle and he’ll be able to take you to a land of eternal battle and mayhem. It is essentially a pocket dimension containing some of the most violent and dangerous demons the Netherworld has to offer. They host extra violent arena matches, if you’re one of those weirdos that actually likes battling in Battleworld.

    • The Dungeon: You can’t have a spooky demon castle without a dungeon to throw prisoners into. This is where the Prinnies/other jerks that act sassy go to.

    • Residential: You can’t have a Netherworld with just one castle. There’s also plenty of homes where all sorts of spoopy demons reside.

  • Population: The Netherworld is populated by a variety of different kind of demons, all of which can be put into the broad categories of humanoids or monsters. Humanoids look like normal humans except for their pointy, while monsters encapsulate an incredibly wide variety of nonhuman creatures such as dragons or chimeras, as well as “monster girls” like Nekomata and Succubi. All monster class demons have the unique ability to transform into weapons that can be used by other people. Humanoid demons typically either specialize in melee weapons like swords/axes/spears, ranged weapons like bows/guns, or use a staff that lets them use elemental and healing magic/give various boosts to their allies. Some of the more noteworthy demons are Sages, who wield powerful area of effect magic, and Armor Knights, exceptionally tanky and strong warriors that serve as Laharl’s personal guard while he’s in the castle. I don’t have any real idea how many demons should be in this chunk, but… whatever seems appropriate for a chunk of large demonic empire/kingdom.

The demons themselves will be drawn from the various classes that have appeared throughout the series. In accordance with the rules on mental powers, no demons will have the Charm ability.

  • Specialties: Reincarnation: Evil humans that die here can reincarnate as Prinnies, which are demons in penguin suits that have the unique quirk of self destructing the moment anyone throws them. It should go without saying, but please keep in mind that becoming a Prinny is a punishment, and not a “get out of character death free” card. Aside from this one quirk, If You Die in the Netherworld, You Die in Real Life™.

Demons gain Mana through combat, which they use as an alternate form of currency sometimes. Aaaand that’s about it.

  • Age: 16
  • Appearance: Shine like a Crazy Diamond
  • Personality: Josuke is a generally nice and polite guy with an high sense of justice who strives to protect his hometown of Morioh. He's also pretty easy to forgive people, considering nearly all of friends tried to kill him at some point in the past. That said he is a little vain, dislike getting involved with disgusting stuff and prone to get rich quick scheme to afford luxuries, but he's an all-around heroic dude. Unless you insult his hair, which he sees as a way to honor the man who saved him. In which case he turn into a merciless berserker who will pound your face inside out.
  • Powers: Josuke possess an humanoid stand called Crazy Diamond. Tough notably strong and fast compared to other stands, its greatest power is its restoration power. By touching a damaged object or person, it can restore them to their initial state, almost-instantly healing their bodies. The more severe the injuries or the more complex the object, the longer it will takes to heal. If severed parts of the objectexists, they will immediately fly back to it to recombine. This can be used to make improvised projectiles, like for example using a broken bottle held in Josuke's hands and its shard of broken glass behind the enemy. This does not apply to body parts, tough they can be reattached manually. Lastly, he can't use Crazy Diamond to heal himself.
  • Equipment: He carries a comb with him.
  • Backstory: Josuke is the illegitimate child of Joseph Joestar, an american. Despite the circumstance of his conception, Josuke lived a very happy and loved childhood from his mother and grandfather. One day, he developed a terrible fever that put his life at risk. It was due to this incident that he decided to style his hair in the same style as his savior, and he discovered his power a little bit after it. From there on, he lived his normal life until one day when he was 16, a man who turned out to be his half-nephew Jotaro came and explained him about the existence of special powers called stands and that a stand-wielding serial killer came and murdered his grandpa. • Powers: Koichi's stand is called Echoes. Uniquely for stand, it possess 3 form, each called an “ACT”.
    • ACT1 is a very weak stand. It punch does almost nothing even against normal humans and it is very slow, but it can get away from about 50 meters up from Koichi, making it useful for scouting. It possess the power of Sound Generation: it can write a sentence or onomatopoeia in kanji on anything with its tail. Upon doing so, the sounds of what is written while reverberate through the person, who will hear it as tough it comes from their own body. While it doesn't do any physical damage, the volume will get louder and louder until Koichi dismiss it, so it can be used to severely torment the target mentally. However, a great willpower is enough to dispel it, so most P Cs will easily shrug off the effects.
    • ACT2, while sharing the physical abilities of its previous able and can't leave Koichi far behind it, possess a more versatile and powerful ability. Unlike ACT 1, it can only write sound effects and those sounds effect don't share the reverbating power. • Physically, ACT3 is still rather weak tough it is far faster than its previous form, but it possess an impressive ability: by punching an object or a person's body part of about the size of a hand, it can choose to increase the weight of said object up to a maximum of 40-50 kilograms, and the total added weight cannot be more then half of a given's person's natural body weight. However, the object will not receive damage by the process and a body part will not be severed from the person, no matter how heavy it get. It can only affect one target at a time and the effect lasts only if the target remains within 5 meters of ACT 3. Strangely, ACT 3 possess its own mind, tough it has a very robotic mindset that only obey Koichi's orders.

His elder brother then used the arrow given to their father by the vampire to give them both stand abilities and decided that they would empower people to find a stand user capable of mercy killing their father. They did that for many years, killing many people who couldn't handle the power and successfully empowering others, but they never reached their goal. One day, they attacked Koichi as he was on his way to school which pissed off Josuke, who beat the crap out of the brothers. Just as the pompadour-headed student learned the reason behind the attacks, Keicho was killed by a stand-user that he previously empowered. Rohan read his mind and was impressed by his personality and experience, and he tried to rip all of his pages to uses them for his manga. Josuke arrived to save the day and beat the crap out of him, which lead of course to him becoming an acquaintance of the stand user group. Tough it understandably took a while, she eventually successfully made him fall in love with her and they became a couple.
    Toshizaku

  • Age: 17
  • Appearance: A despicable nobody
  • Personality: A pathetic and bitter loser who hates popular people and tend to blame them for all of his problems. He enjoy bullying those weaker than him and torturing small animals. He's also an otaku who's liable to stab you if you badmouth his favorite manga. Honestly, the only reason he has not become a bigger villain is his own cowardice and Josuke's power keeping him in line.
  • Powers: His stand Surface is formless and need to inhabit a wooden doll to use its power. By facing someone, the mannequin can change into a perfect copy of them, with the only difference being a large screw on their forehead. It even develop a personality nearly identical to the copied person, but completely loyal to Toshikazu. It will still be a wooden doll on the inside, so it will not possess any special abilities belonging to the target and will still feel like wood when touched. Pearl Jam's power is used by putting the stand into a food that Tonio is making. Said food will then be able to cure a particular illness that whoever eat it has, tough the curing process is rather painful and quite disgusting to watch. Every illness has a particular recipe: this recipe will only cure that ill, and this ill cannot be cured by another recipe. The rarer the illness is, the rarer the ingredients needed will be. Tough Tonio instinctively know the recipe needed for any illness he know or learn about, some ingredients required will be so ridiculously rare in some case that it's still nearly impossible for him to do anything about it.

He also show a severe allergy to the sound of ambulance sirens. Despite that, he's for the most part a nice and friendly person.
  • Powers: Mikitaka's… ability is called Earth, Wind and Fire though no one know if it's actually a stand or a result of alien biology. Mikitaka can change his body into whatever objects he want, tough he can't change into complex objects (no machinery), objects whose power would be greater than his own strength (a dynamite, for example) or living beings. He can also only change a part of his body before splitting it of himself, in which case he will regenerate the lost body part.
  • Equipment: /
  • Backstory: Mikitaka claim he's an alien that came to earth to learn about the people there and that brainwashed a local woman to make her believe she's his mother. Nobody really know how true that is, but one day he met Josuke and the two became friends.
    Yuya
  • Name: Yuya Fungami
  • Age: Somewhere in his teens.

  • Powers: Highway Star is one of the more versatile stands in Morioh. It is very physically weak, which allow it for Yuya to command it from far away. However, it is as fast as a speeding motorcycle. It also has a very acute sense of smell that it shares with its user and can split up into footprints-shaped parts to automatically and mindlessly follow a scent, which make it impervious to physical attacks and able to pass through narrow passages. It can create a small-room shared space that create illusions specific to each person who views it and which is whatever make them most likely to enter it. Yuya is unaware of what illusions are created by it. Highway Star's main attack is that when it touches someone, it rob a bit of their body's nutrient to give them to Yuya. Doing so of course weaken the target and can eventually result in their death if done many times.
  • Equipment: A rather fast but still completely norm-of-the-mile motorcycle. It's brand new since Josuke recently destroyed his old one.
  • Backstory: Yuya is a member of a biker gang who's apparently very popular with the ladies, since he's nearly always surrounded by three female admirers (who are themselves delinquents). One day, he got drunk and broke his spine in a bike accident. In the hospital, he was visited by Yoshihiro Kira, the ghostly father of a serial killer, who pierced him with the Stand Arrow so he would destroy those who were trying to catch his son. After that, Yuya tried to suck up the energy of Josuke and Rohan to heal quicker, but Josuke found him and healed before beating the crap out of him. After he healed from that, he got out of the hospital and was asked by Josuke to help him find another Yoshihiro-empowered individual with his sense of smell. During that, he gained respect for Josuke and they beat the crap out of that dude together.
    Stray Cat
  • Name: Stray Cat
  • Age: I dunno.
  • Appearance: Top left is his current appearance
  • Personality: It's a cat.
  • Powers: Stray Cat is the soul of a cat inhabiting a flower. It can shoot powerful air balls from its mouth.
  • Equipment: The pot it's planted in.
  • Backstory: Stray Cat used to be a normal cat. Then a serial killer usurped the identity of his owner's husband, then accidentally killed the animal with the stand arrow. But thanks to his new stand, the cat's soul inhabited a nearby plant which was then used as a weapon by the serial killer. When the serial killer died thanks to Josuke and his friend, Okuyasu took Stray Cat in.

Chunk

    Morioh
  • Name of the World: Morioh
  • Description: A Crazy, Noisy, Bizarre Town... Morioh is a suburb of S city in the M prefecture. It is a rather quaint town that has existed since medieval times and so many traditional homes still remain there. Due to an increasing population due to people from S City moving there, money was spent to further its development and so many shops opened and more modern house filled what were previously rice fields. It is in appearance a calm and peaceful town, but many bizarre urban legends and odious crimes are hidden within it.
  • Contents/Locations:
    • Angelo Rock: A complete monster of a serial killer that Josuke fused with a rock. Now the odd rock who mumble agios sometimes is a popular landmark of Morioh. It's near Josuke's house.
    • Grape Hills Middle & High School: The school most of the stand users go to.
    • Fly: An odd Telephone Tower that is in fact a stand whose main power is keeping its user, Toyohiro Kanedaichi, imprisoned in it. It reflect any damage done to it on the aggressor.
    • Ghost Girl's Alley: A normally invisible road that is near impossible to go to without the proper instructions. It's the purgatory between the world of the dead and the living. Anytime someone die in Morioh, you can see their soul passing through it. A determined enough spirit can stay in it as a ghost if they have a specific goal they want to accomplish. It is impossible to leave the alley by any other path than the entrance way. However, if one turn back in this entrance, then their soul will be stolen by mysterious hands, never to be seen again.
    • Trattoria Trussardi: Tonio's italian restaurant.
    • Budogaoka Bank: Morioh's main bank.
    • Kameyu Department Store: A store where you can seemingly find anything mundane.
    • Budogaoka Hospital: Morioh's main hospital.
  • Specialties: Some people in the town possess what are called Stands: psychic manifestation of their user's willpower that take a physical form to affect the world. They all possess different abilities but they all possess the trait that the users and stand shares a bond that allow them to share their sense, receive damage if one is hurt and forgive the stand from distance themselves from the user's body. Normally, they would be invisible to non-stand users, but for the purpose of this game, this restriction has been lifted and anyone can see and interact with them. They either appear at birth or after a normal person has been hit by a special stand arrow. However, no such arrow is currently present in Morioh, so the creation of further stand users is impossible.
  • Population: The recent total population was stated to be 58,713. Since then, some people died and some babies were born, but this is still a roughly accurate number. Most of the people here are normal modern japanese people unaware that Stands and other supernatural phenomena exist, so suddenly being pulled into a crazy patchwork world is going to be a harrowing experience, to say the least.

  • Josuke
    • Alrighty, so, instant healing is a no-go. We're going to slap this under normal "healer" rules, the more severe the injury, the longer it takes to heal. Healing in the middle of a fight might be hard unless you have other people distracting whatever just fucked you up. No auto-attracting severed body parts, although you can still reattach them. For objects, I don't have as many issues, my only note is that the more complex the object is, the longer it may take to fix. The bottle thing is fine as is but if I shatter, say, my cell phone, it might take a minute to fix, and so on and so forth. Oh, also, no fusing people together.
  • Koichi
    • My only thing here is in regards to ACT 3. Because we have a lot of younger/teenage characters for who 110 pounds or 50 kilos is most of their body weight, I am thinking of a simple addition that the total added weight cannot be more then half of a given's person's natural body weight, up to the pre-established max of 50 kilos.
  • Okuyasu
    • As discussed, this will become a lightsaber of sorts. Harder the material is, the longer it'll take to cut. No insta cutting/killing any living beings or robot P Cs.
  • Rohan
    • As discussed, rather then stun the character who is targeted and turn their face into a book (Jesus this series), how about he just gets a book in his hand with basic information about the target? You're not going to learn any deep secrets or anything, but who they are, what they do, a BASIC personality writeup, fighting style, that sort of thing
  • Toshikazu
    • The only part of this I have a problem with is the part where you forcibly control the original copied target. That has to go.

I am playing one, so the answer is a big "yes".

The game is open yes. Before you go and write up a whole signup, I'd advise telling me what you're planning to sign up as, this way if there's any problems/conflicts, we can get that sorted before you waste over an hour writing a signup.

I was planning on signing up as Hakumen from Blazblue as a single chunkless, or Overwatch from, well Overwatch as a group of chunkless if one chunkless wasn't allowed.

Alright, but do be aware that we already have a NOL Blazeblue chunkless in the game. One with Hazama in charge. Whenever that effects whenever you still want to do it is up to you, but I'd also be checking with the other player to be sure they have no problems with it. I don't anticipate any, but putting it out there.

Well I talked with Boomer 75 and he said he was alright with Hakumen, anyway, here's the sheet? Anything that should be nerfed/expended/explained/cut off entirely?

  • Name: Hakumen, formerly known as Jin Kisaragi (but don't call him that name)
  • Age: More than a hundred years old
  • Appearance: I Am the White Void

  • Personality: Hakumen, putting it bluntly, is kind of a dick. He is extremely devoted to justice and order to the point of being a Knight Templar, and will not hesitate to smack anyone down if he thinks they deserve it. He's also pretty smug about his (admittedly-impressive) power, and he will rub that fact in his opponents' faces in the hammiest way possible. Despite this, if someone is strong or determined enough, they will earn his respect, although don't quite expect him to acknowledge it.

  • Powers:
    • Susano'o Unit: His armor/body, with it not only does he have an exceptional amount of speed and strength. While he won't be lifting cars with one finger or going faster than sound, he can punch a neat hole into the side of one or dodge a bullet in a wicked way. The fact that he also has a purely mechanical body means he does not need to eat or drink. And the eyes all over his armor allow him to see, as the helmet features no visor. The Unit also has vast energy reserves, allowing him to fight for an hour without tiring.

    • Slaying God: Hakumen's fighting style relies a lot on counter-maneuvers and retaliatory strikes, exploiting an opponent's missteps to punish them relentlessly. This style is complemented by an ability of Hakumen's that allows him to project energy barriers that repel enemy attacks and allow him to effectively counter advances towards him. He also has an unusual ability to turn projectiles he slices with Okami in mini black holes that suck other projectiles inside them. However, these techniques tap into his energy reserves, decreasing the time he can keep fighting.

    • Fierce God: A super mode that significantly increases Hakumen's strength, agility, and durability by tapping even further into his reserves, he can't lift that car yet, but now he can turn it into scrap metal with a couple of hits. But at the cost of shortening the time he can fight to only 10 minutes.

    • 'Final Judgment: Retribution - Perish Evil:' Hakumen's ultimate attack. A counterattack with Ōkami that deals A devastating amount of damage. To compensate for such power, it requires precise timing and a lot of energy and stops Hakumen from moving while he executes it. And even if he does execute it properly, he'll be left a sitting duck until he can recover his energy back.

  • Equipment:
    • Slaying Demon: Okami: A gigantic no-dachi with a blunt tip that's above any normal blade because 1) it's the personal blade of a legendary magic time-traveling robot samurai hero 2) MAGIC! Think about it like this: flesh, wood, softer metals? Hack and Slash. A large steel beam, a car, or an armored foe? Might take a few slices. However, it's most impressive ability is the fact it can cancel the magic effects of objects and spells it touches. It's also pretty big

  • Backstory: Hakumen was the legendary "Silver Knight" who appeared during the First War of Magic, and lead a band of Six Heroes (including himself) that ultimately defeated the Black Beast. Afterward, Hakumen warned the people to "change their evil ways", but was exiled and sealed in a place called "The Edge" of The Boundary for roughly 90 years.

    • In reality, Hakumen is a time-displaced Jin Kisaragi, who after jumping down a time portal in pursuit of his brother Ragna. Was found by the vampire Clavis Alucard and given the Susano'o Unit. A few years later Hakumen would fight the Black Beast alongside five legendary heroes...and Terumi. After the defeat of the Black Beast, Hakumen would sacrifice himself, sealing Terumi alongside him in The Boundary.

We don't tolerate copy and pasting from wikis, signups that other people made in the past, and other such copying of info not in your own words here. You were already caught doing this in AGOG. So I'll keep it simple. You're denied. Please do not submit another signup.

I'll just go ahead and leave this here...

Name: Goht

Age: Ancient (comparable to Majora)

Appearance:

Masked Mechanical Monster

The one on the far right

Personality: It's difficult to say what the Goht's personality is, or even if it has a personality at all. Like all the Boss Masks, Goht only appears as an enemy who has inflicted a curse on a region of Termina; when Link defeats it, the curse is lifted and the creature dies. There's not much in-game evidence to suggest what its personality is like.

Not much, but there's still some. Like its friends, Goht can take the form of a mask-wearing child (called a "husk" in this RP) to interact with people. It's in this form that Goht plays a game of hide-and-seek with Link in the Heart of the Moon. At the end of this game, Goht asks Link a question:

"What makes you happy? I wonder...what makes you happy...does it make others happy too?"

It's not much to go on, but let's say that Goht has a fixation on happiness and how it affects people. Being a creature of malice bound within a mask, it has little empathy for mortals, but nevertheless seems curious about how they work. It'll try to imitate the actions of nice people to try to make others happy; perhaps in quiet hopes that it'll feel happy in the process.

We can also assume that—given its combat style—that Goht has a short temper and is prone to tantrums.

Powers: Like Majora's signup sheet, I'll be separating Goht's abilities from what it can do on its own, and what it can do when its worn.

  • Independent:

    • Husk: The little boy pictured above is not a wearer. In the game, he is an image created by Goht to interact with Link in the Heart of the Moon. The general belief is that this boy has no face of his own; under the mask there’s just a blank slate of skin.

      • On Battleworld, this body would be nothing more than a frame to let Goht talk and travel without getting too much attention. It has the power to fly/float because that’s one of the mask’s abilities, though some of the more observant characters might notice how the boy is subtly following the mask’s movements, as if he’s getting dragged around by it.

      • The husk has a fragile body that can be easily damaged or destroyed, but only harming the mask would make Goht feel pain. If someone destroys the husk, the mask will need to invest dark energy into creating a new one. During that time, Goht will either need to fight (and most likely flee), or “play dead” and act like whatever created that creepy demon-boy died with him.

  • Worn:

Unlike Majora, Goht and the other Boss Masks have a sort of duplicitous existence when worn. The "real" Goht is the mask on the wearer, while the "projection" is the formidable body that follows the wearer's orders. Think of the projection like a Pokémon, with the mask being its poké-ball and the wearer as its trainer.

When someone wears a Boss Mask, they establish a telepathic connection with it, and can give orders to the projection when necessary. There are some limitations to these commands, including a maximum range of 50 yards in order to keep the projection's form, and I leave it up to the player whether attacks on the projection land or miss. These things are tough, not invincible.

With that in mind, let's establish some ground rules in order for this ability to work:

  • Complete consent from the other player: Fairly obvious. I'm not throwing these dangerous masks onto people's faces. I promise to get approval for the offer via PM, and will subsequently tell Meanken of the approval before putting the plan into effect.

  • Goht carries all damage when separated from wearer: If the mask decides to abandon a wearer, all the damage and injuries inflicted on the wearer’s body get transferred to the mask. We don’t want any half-dead children/civilians left if Goht gets a chance to move on to greener pastures! This will also be a good IC reason for the mask to invest in protecting the wearer whenever possible; it doesn’t want to deal with the consequences later on.

  • Temporary forfeit of Goht to the other player: By giving the mask to another player, I am lending the character of Goht to that player. Since the voice and personality of the wearer are what’s present, this should not be a difficult transition. My control of the character will be strictly limited to advice/suggestions to the player via PM.

    • That said, my one request is that the player honors the fact that Goht is inherently a destructive creature. It doesn't need to wreck everything, but neither should it always avoid causing collateral damage. These masks are a shortcut to great power, but that power doesn't always do what the wearer wants; to continue the Pokémon analogy, you don't quite have enough badges to train them.

  • Wearers are picked only from the weakest tier of combat ability: Goht will recognize that its power has been greatly diminished, thanks to the Cure. It will no doubt conclude that it can’t bond with anyone it wants anymore, and therefore has to target weaker individuals. Goht will only be able to be worn by non-combatants, or fighters with mook-levels of combat abilities. Anyone stronger will be considered too powerful (let’s call it "strong willed") to ensure the Boss Mask won’t become a puppet to its wearer.

  • Goht does not gain any abilities, resistances, or immunities through its wearer: While the wearer will have access to the power of Goht's projected form, no new abilities, resistances or immunities to certain attacks or ailments will extend to Goht. For example: if the wearer can turn invisible, that ability won't encompass the mask. If the wearer is a fish-person, and is harmed less by water-based attacks, the mask will not be protected by that resistance. The physical benefits are a one-way street, all in the wearer's favor.

  • Destroy either mask or projection, and you destroy both: The mask and its projection are two sides of the same coin, and if you manage to eliminate one, you automatically eliminate the other. This means that going after the mask itself is a perfectly legitimate strategy...so long as your character isn't squeamish about trying to kill a (potentially) innocent wearer. The rule about absorbing damage still applies regardless, and if that fact is someday discovered, Goht's days (along with Majora and the other Boss Masks) will be numbered.

So with those rules out of the way, let's focus on what Goht's projection is and what it can do:

  • Big and Strong, Like Bull: Goht is a massive 18' tall mechanical bull who's primary means of attack is a good ol' fashioned charge. Its body is composed of an incredibly strong metal, providing the durability it needs to survive the punishment a massive mechanical berserker is bound to take. That said, Goht has no natural resistance to elemental attacks, and its heavy defense is far from impenetrable. Much like Link's strategy in Majora's Mask, the best way to bring this bull down is to just keep hitting it, and keep hitting it hard.

  • Speedy, but Clunky: While Goht may be considerably fast for its size when it needs to be (nearly matching the pace of Goron Link's mad dash, which can reach 40 mph), it's far from agile. The sheer bulk of its body demands a wide area to maneuver in, which might be impossible to find in enclosed spaces. Even when it does have enough space to turn around, it can't turn on a dime and its size offers plenty of blind spots to exploit.

  • Bombs: To partially compensate for its many blind spots, Goht is equipped with large bombs that can be dropped behind it on demand. These weapons both serve as a means to strike enemies behind it, and as an obstacle for whatever's trying to catch up to it. While there is no real limit to the total number of bombs it can deploy (thanks, hammerspace!) there is a limit to how many can be deployed at once: 3 at a time, with a 15 second cool down to prep the next bomb(s).

  • Lightning Strike: Goht's strongest attack is also its hardest to land. When an enemy is in front of the giant bull, it can generate a massive amount of electricity between its horns, and shoot a series of lightning bolts at a target. Apart from a necessary charge period, the obvious downside to this attack is that Goht needs to be facing the target to fire.

Equipment: None, apart from the mask itself.

Backstory: Goht is one of the four masks that aid Majora's Mask in wreaking havoc across Termina. Goht imprisoned the Giant guarding the Snowhead Mountains, and cursed the region with a never-ending winter. Threatened with extinction, the Gorons living on the mountain elected to send their tribe's hero, Darmani, to journey to the Snowhead Temple and bring an end to the curse. Unfortunately, the ceaseless blizzards brought an end to Darmani first, and it seemed the entire tribe would soon follow.

It was at this point that a certain child garbed in green arrived in the Snowhead Mountains. Accompanied by his fairy companion, the little hero found Darmani's ghost wandering the abandoned streets of the Goron Village, and agreed to free the tribe from this curse. With Darmani's power in the form of a mask, Link ventured to Snowhead Temple and defeated the masked mechanical monster. Goht died, the Giant was freed, and the never-ending winter came to an end.

Now restored to life, Goht seeks to serve its friend and master yet again, and crash through the giant china shop that is Battleworld!

I finally decided what Fairy Tail would like to use their wish on

  • Name: Mavis Vermillion
  • Age: Roughly 113 (120 if you include being frozen in time for 7 years) total. 24ish on Battleworld due to not having black magic fuckery messing with her anymore.
  • Appearance: Like so
  • Personality: Mavis is pretty nice and kind person. She cares about her friends, is nice to animals, and is pretty protective. She's very upbeat and cheery so it's rare to see her without a smile on her face, and it takes a lot to get her down. She has a bit of a careless, whimsical streak, doing goofy things that might otherwise result in embarrassment or misfortune, which seems to tie into her somewhat competitive nature where she's willing to cheat do somewhat mischievous things to win. She has a habit of going around barefoot all the time.
  • Powers:
    • Wizard: She's also a wizard like the rest of Fairy Tail. She has a deceptively large amount of magical energy inside of her for someone that looks rather... not-ripped.
      • Magical Knowledge: Mavis has a lot of experience and knowledge relating to magic, and is really good at understanding magical systems and wards and those sorts of things, almost like magical forensics or analysis. This includes knowing about    black magic   . But since it kind of ruined her life and cursed her, she's being wished into Battleworld "decursified". So even though she can't use it anymore, she can still do a good job of Sherlocking her way through identifying if something is cursed.
      • Illusions: Mavis is an illusionist Michael. She can make anything she wants manifest as an illusion. Her illusions can look and sound exactly like something real, even when observed under close scrutiny they still look impossibly life-like and detailed; they even go so far as to emulate small things like the way fur blows in the breeze or how a person's stomach rises and falls when they breathe; she can 'pre-program' them to go about some sort of routing to further the illusion. Despite this realism, they are completely intangible and unable to interact physically with the real world (unless making sound and light counts "interacting") so someone can just stick a hand through them to see that they're fake. A wolf the size of a house, a big bright fire, a small army of knights, weird birds, other people, herself - anything she can think of, she can make a hologram of it up to the size of a small house. She can also make an illusion in a way that only certain people will see it, and be invisible to others. Her ability has a pretty long range, but if she can't see where she's trying to summon an illusion, it can be very difficult to guess exactly where it's going to be.
      • Fairy Glitter: An offensive spell that isn't black magic. It requires fully concentrating for a good 15-20 seconds at the minimum, which calls down a column of light in an orbital strike, raining down on a target like a magical artillery shell. Because it doesn't seem to work beyond a couple dozen yards, and requires charging up for a considerable period of time, it's more like a bunker buster/safe cracker than the sort of thing you could use in a fight. It's especially useful for destroying magically hardened materials, such as a crystal, as it can damage ethereal bodies that could otherwise resist magic.
      • Telepathy: She can send a mental message to someone relatively nearby, or let them send a message to her.
    • Master Strategist: Mavis is very smart. I probably won't do a good job at portraying this. She knows math and tactics and history and all sorts of nerdy stuff. Her memory is very good and may or may not be photographic, as it's at the very least detailed enough that she can create a perfect illusion of someone from memory, and remember the intricacies of someone's fighting style from a brief study.
  • Equipment: Probably just her dress, but she's undoubtedly going to grab a compact communication lacrima and light pen from the Guild Hall as soon as she possibly can.
  • Backstory: Mavis was orphaned very early on, and forced to work for the Red Lizard Guild to pay off the debts her parents had accrued. The guy in charge of the guild was a real dick, who didn't even let Mavis keep her boots, resulting in a lifelong habit of going barefoot. She slept in a pile of hay in the stables, teaching herself advanced math and reading skills by moonlight. When she was around six years old, the Blue Skull guild stormed the island and killed everyone they found, leaving everyone for dead. By chance, Mavis and a schoolmate (or, she would have been, if Mavis had been allowed to go to school), Zera, managed to survive. They spent seven years together on the island, with Mavis - who had always been fond of books - keeping busy by intensely studying every book on magic that had been left behind on the island. Eventually three guys landed on the island and gave them a boat ride back to civilization, they all formed a wizard guild together, and Mavis learned that she had been manifesting Zera as a figment of her imagination given life by her illusionary powers. So, you know, a lot of stuff to unpack. Then she learned Black Magic, cursed herself into being 13 forever, fought a war or two, had a kid, and then got her body encased in a giant crystal for a century and lived on as an astral projection. And then died.

Maybe it's a bit too soon after my chunk, but here's my chunkless sign-up

Main Character:

    Gate
  • Name: Gate
  • Age: Unknown
  • Appearance: Quite a smug smile, isn’t it?
  • Personality: Even before becoming a would-be supervillain, Gate was an arrogant jerk of a scientist who take pride in making creations that couldn’t be analyzed by those he considered lesser than him. His biggest preoccupation was learning how advanced technology worked and creating reploids that would surpass them all. He saw those who tried to undermine his creations are either jealous of his brilliance or fearful fool who were scared of progress.
After his infection by the Sigma Virus, this arrogance turned into outright megalomania. He seeks to create a world were humans and inferior reploids are either eradicated or enslaved and the superior reploids (aka those he made) reign supreme. He shows a cruel glee in making those who didn’t appreciate his brilliance pay. He knows that by all account, he has become mad, but he doesn’t care. As far as he concerned, he is now freed from the limits he shackled himself with before.
  • Powers:
    • Reploid: As said before, Gate is a reploid, a new-generation android based on the design of the ancient robot X. Their most remarkable is how human they are: they possess the same capacity for free will and mental as humanity and even possess a sort of DNA, which also somehow double as their soul equivalent. Since they are not organic, they of course does no need to breathe or eat and are unaffected by biological hazard.
    • Brilliant Researcher: Gate is ludicrously talented, being without doubt the most brilliant reploid creator of his world. Provided he has the necessary resources, he can easily create less developed robots develop independently thinking Reploids with amazing ability. He’s also very proficient at reploid “resurrection”: repairing fallen robot and reawakening them and he can even recreate a reploid solely from its Soul DNA.
  • Equipment:
    • Battle Armor: Gate has no combat ability of his own, and so he developed a armor from Zero’s DNA that he can summon at will. The armor is notoriously strong, being able to completely stop weaker attacks. He can fly while wearing it.
    • Nightmare Hole: In his armor, he can launch large balls of energy at his enemy. Each ball as its own special property depending on its color. They can be destroyed by a simple attack, which will make them vanish by exploding.
      • Red: Slow down the speed of those who touch it.
      • Orange: Doesn’t go after the enemy, but instead remain in place and launch small energy bullets at them.
      • Blue: Attract objects to it like a magnet.
      • Green: Hone towards the enemy.
      • Purple: Stay in place and spawn a Nightmare Virus from it. Those creatures can attack by shooting energy bullets or with their tentacles, tough they aren’t very strong. They possess minor regeneration, but they can be destroyed rather easily by consecutive attacks. Their biggest power is entering reploids to infect them, placing them under Gate’s control, but this power is pretty much useless since there is no reploids not loyal to Gate in Battleword.
    • Nightmare Strike: Gate can strengthen his melee attack with purple energy. It has no other use beyond looking cool.
  • Backstory: Gate is a reploid: a android with the same capability for free will and thought process as that of a human. Specifically, he was created as a researcher to seek ways to make new sort of reploids. He was a brilliant scientist, creating reploids that surpassed nearly everything in capacity and were purposely made unanalyzable to his peers. Yet that brilliance soon brought fear and jealousy. By the machinations of those around him, his wonderful creations were destroyed one by one. Even his closest friend Alia, obeying the orders of her superiors, helped in the decommissioning of a few of them. Feeling betrayed by everyone around him, Gate left the research team in anger and became a recluse.
One fateful day, a war between Mavericks, reploids gone rogue, and the Maverick Hunters resulted in a huge battle station being dropped on Earth. The impact brought ruin and destruction that polluted the atmosphere, forcing humanity underground. Two weeks after that, Gate snuck into the crash site to investigate. There, he found a odd piece of metal. It was a piece of Zero, the mysterious leader of the Maverick Hunters. The piece infected Gate with the Sigma Virus, planted in Zero long ago by his creator Doctor Wily. The virus drove Gate insane and convinced him to try to take revenge on those who destroyed his works and to take over the world for himself. Analyzing Zero’s Soul DNA, he created the Nightmare Virus, which would convert any reploid into his slave, and a clone of Zero which would serve as the scapegoat for the spreading of the virus. After his two new creations spread destruction through the world, the scientist revived his decommissioned reploids and founded the Nightmare Investigators: a organization which sook to recruit reploids to supposedly try to stop the Nightmare Virus, but was in fact his way to build his own army. Before he could make his move, he and his closest followers were all spirited away to a strange new world.
