I can't remember, what happened to Zenon?
He captured Vangance and is heading back to Spade.
Seriously, it wasn't that long ago.
Well excuse me for a memory lapse and asking a single freaking question
Hey donít fret, I tend to forget Zennon & Danteís names.
Itís why I refer to them as the King & Prince alongside Vanicaís Princess out of the assumption that they are all siblings or something.
isn't it confirmed that they are all siblings?
I think so. They said the Zogratis siblings invaded when talking about the Dark Triad, but it might be that Dante or Vanica isn't a sibling of Zenon, who's confirmed to be a Zogratis.
Though I am guessing they are.
Turns out magical water armor is still subjected to Clothing Damage.
And power differentials are still subject to shut yo trap! I'm fighting anyway!
I very much approve of that.
Noelle has Asta's magic of never giving up too!
If this is an actual killshot and not a "LOLOLOL DEMON BULLSHIIIIIIIIT!" moment would this be the first time one of the main heroes in the manga straight up murdered a villain? I don't remember if Asta's actually killed any of his human opponents.
Yeah. It is the question of whether this is another set up for failure or not.
I mean, we asked the same question at the end of the last chapter, and this one answered it.
That being said, I'd be ok with Lolpeka (sp) dying, but Noelle succeeding in killing demon bitch anyway.
They manage to win the battle, but there's still a big cost that makes it bitter sweet.
Wonder if Noelle will get Undine if Lolopechka dies. Also hope they bring up Acier soon and explain why Megicula cursed her.
I do think Noelle has been really cool in these chapters.
She has! It's honestly jarring how much more focus she gets compared to most girls in battle shonen I've seen.

I like that between Vanica and a literal demon from hell, she's apparently the insane one.
You're surprised a human is more evil than a demon in a manga?
You ain't been reading enough manga then.
No matter what monsters and demons do, a lot of authors will always take time to remind us humans are worse.

Well yeah demons are naturally evil, thatís their normal. You canít blame a demon for being backstabbing or violent, itís in their nature. But when a human is as bad as a demon, thatís their choice & this makes them worse for voluntarily choosing to be evil as sin.
Also I like how this chapter fully establishes Vanica as Noelleís Rival. We got an epic grudge match to look forward too.

Seems pretty obvious it's gonna be Yuno vs Zenon and Asta vs Dante too.
I go back and forth on it.
Sometimes it seems like humans are worse because of what says, and sometimes it's seems like it's because the author is just a misanthrope who wants to beat us down and shove how shitty he thinks we are down our throats.
Donít make such a big deal out of it, itís not like this is some major statement about the human condition, itís just a villain dynamic. And a typical one at that, the demon & the crazy human.
Though I think this one with Vanica feels the most personal. Weíre gonna have to wait a while before we see Yunoís full reaction to his defeat.
Fair enough. I suppose there are enough good characters to balance that out. There will always be evil humans and shit.
So any guesses on Dante vs Yami? I thinking the former since recent events have the other Dark Triad members curbstomp everything to build up the hopeless situation, but Yami losing also means the Dark Triad accomplish their goals to make the world hell beyond some outside help.
I mean, there was a whole conversation where Dante was going on and on about how evil was the ultimate expression of humanity because only humans are capable of evil or something like that and Asta was all 'No, it's actually compassion that makes us human'. I don't remember the details, but it was something like that.
