Also Yuno is royalty. Guess the only question left is whether Asta is too some kind of royalty.

While it might explain why they were found together as babies, I doubt it. Asta's whole thing is that he's not really anything special barring his incredibly rare genetic defect.

And so far the series has managed to avoid giving Asta some secret awesome heritage and destiny, unlike a certain other manga.

Though it wouldn't surprise me if Asta is from some legacy not a prince but something special but he was abandoned because he was born disabled.

Though heh this stuff about Yuno. He always has to be more inherently superior than Asta & this certainly adds up to it.

It wouldn't surprise me if Asta and Yuno being found at the same time was a total coincidence. Whoever got Yuno to safety just happened to leave him at the same orphanage where Asta's deadbeat parent(s) left him at the same time.

Or maybe Asta is the son of whomever took Yuno there?

That was my other guess.

It's going to turn out Asta is the prince and Yuno is the servant's son.

I do hope they don't give Asta some super secret heritage. Naruto totally undermined everything it was by doing that.

So much for Yuno being a peasant with powerful magic… Makes the early chapters hilarious in retrospect.

Don't count your chickens quite yet. All the reveals about Naruto being the descendant of every awesome Ninja that ever existed only started coming after 40+ volumes.

Call me cynical, but I don't entirely believe the guy yet. We don't know anything about the situation beyond what he's said, and it would be easy to claim some foreign backwater orphan peasant that's far more powerful than anyone thought possible is a secret prince of your country, in the hopes of turning him. At the very least, I want to see some hard evidence presented. Also, the chapter reiterated the fact that he's always had the elf-stone thing. If I'm understanding series correctly (although my memory's hazy on the matter, so don't quote me on this), it was with him when he was dropped off at the orphanage, and it seems unlikely (but not impossible, mind you) to me that a foreign royalty would have one of them, given how they seem tied to the Clover kingdom.

Of course, regardless of whether it's true or not, clearly Yuno isn't going to care. He's too invested with being Asta's rival.

New chapter up at the usual places. Seems they were up yesterday and I didn't realize.

I think I'll check Viz instead of Mangaplus. The former is more organized in terms of letting you know when a chapter was posted for me.

Anyway: Yuno as a prince confirmed, and the bad guys launch a direct attack in true bad guy fashion.

I think I would prefer if Asta was descended from commoners or peasants, or even actually an orphan. Then somehow a demon tried to attack Yuno and Asta was of strong enough stuff to help him. It would be a more interesting angle if Asta got to where he was through sheer strength of will. Besides, the only nobility we've seen that he resembles is Kirsch Vermillion, and Asta is too close in age to Mimosa to conceivably be their sibling.

I also stick with Asta being a commoner.

Saw the latest chapter. Mostly build up for the new bad guys.

Asta and Yunos V As sing it. Can safely say voicing Asta didn't destroy his vocal cords.

What is that, the 3rd or 4th OP for the elf arc? And it’s entirely about a single fight, huh.

Also that final shot is funny since it has Asta & Yuno offering their hands to Nero but I don’t think Yuno has any connection or interaction with bird-girl.

Shares his voice with his uncle.

I basically consider him to be Half-Elf even with a separate soul because they're pretty clear most elves are like their hosts. Which is how Reincarnation/Transligration works.

This upcoming arc could serve to give Yuno some much needed character development beyond "Asta is my RIVAL".

Watch Squishy Black Clover to see him take the piss out of how being "Cool" means he can't have a personality.

Jokes aside his definition of "cool" is to just silently glare & offer the occasional praise.

Clearly acting cool ins't the problem, it's his way of acting cool is the issue.

I love when manga can rib itself.

Being fair, nothing will ever surpass Lodoss War's chibi theater and its sense of humor towards itself.

I want the Robot Black Bulls to appear in the manga through Magic
