Tanzanite didn't so much step off the bus as she teleported. She was carrying a small handbag around her arm, and was reading a book titled "The Totality of Earth Culture and History."
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Near the back of the bus, a young man slouched in his seat. He wore a pair of aviator sunglasses. The lens faded from purple to orange, like a Miami sunset. They covered his eyes, but anyone who had cared to look at him at any point in the trip would have concluded he was asleep. He had indeed slept through the entirety of the bus ride. He had a sore neck from it.
Nes yawned and stretched, preparing to get off the bus. He had draped his olive-colored parka over the back of his seat, and he pulled it on over his black tank top. After picking up his luggage from the floor beneath his seat, he headed off the bus. And then nearly dropped it when he saw a girl teleport. Just teleported. Right off the bus. She also had a book, and Nes would normally have an intense urge to try to figure out what the title is. But dang it, the walking birthstone teleporting was a little more pressing.
Nes supposed he shouldn't be too surprised. Most of his new neighbors were Gijinka like him. And he was in no position to talk, considering his own abilities. He'd known other Gijinka existed. But he'd come from a very small town though, so it was very rare he met another in person.
Nes' luggage clacked as he pulled it down the steps after the gem girl. He'd thought it was going to be a five star hotel they were staying at. The Skyline Palace didn't look like much of a palace. Nes took off his sunglasses, revealing bright blue eyes the slowly climbed the building from bottom to top. It wasn't any worse than how he normally lived, he supposed.

"Well Tenpenny it ain't but it's a sight better than some places I've seen."
The rather short and impish form of Robert Pipp cheerfully hopped off the bus, bat hoisted over one shoulder as he looked up the height of the tower.
"Looks like this'll be home for a few weeks, so I guess I should be thankful it's got a roof on it's rafters."
It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.A young fox girl step off the bus. She been in a bad mood for a bit, as a result she kick the bus. Then Bellum turn to look at the building, "Damn it.." She huffed. The new building did nothing but add to her annoyance.
They can't for the life of them understand why nobody liked being ruled by a group of manic depressive demigods - 4chan"Is this high quality earth housing?" Tanzanite said confused. "I would expect with all the needs that humanity has, it would be a bit more substantial."
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. The man looks over at the hothead and whispers something to the weasel. The weasel nods before speaking up.
"Yeah. Shiren also hopes that the beds are quite comfy for us. After all, we are the competitors, right?"
Shiren, the man who the weasel is speaking for, backs away from Bellum and wonders if her mother had taught her some manners.
"It would be nice to have comfortable beds for everyone, but if anyone finds theirs lacking I will forfeit my own. My kind do not need to sleep." Tanzanite said.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing."My name is Tanzanite. And that seems like an efficient means of procuring food. I always wanted to try it out!" Tanzanite said.

Gijinka Hotel is sponsored by ACME Inc., Lexcorp Industries, and Mann Co.
A man stepped in front of the camera, which was set up right in front of a large, old-looking apartment. The Skyline Palace, which was known as a 5-Star Hotel in it's pay day, was just barely good enough to be considered 'livable'.
The tall, brown-skinned man fixed up his tuxedo and adjusted his shades as the camera turned on him. "Hello there, ladies and gentleman! Welcome to debut of the hit-new series, Gijinka Hotel! I'm your host and master of ceremony, Host-Kun! The show where the drama is hot, the action is fast, and the points...actually, the points do matter!"
"Across the world, you've seen Gijinkas rise in popular and grow famous! Admit it, they're everywhere and there's one for almost everything you love and hate. But sadly, fame is like money: it's abundance, but not everybody gets a fair share. But that is why this show exists!
The Gijinkas in this apartment complex, the Skyline Palace. An apartment that, despite it's fancy name, is actually just a rundown, old-looking apartment. They will be forced to go through the absolutely worst that suburban life can throw at them! From dealing with insects to trying to pay rent to the Fire Nation attacking.
...Yes, it can and will happen, ladies and gentleman. I have that kind of power."
The man chuckled, looking to the distance, "Oh, and look! Here they come!" In the distance, a bus was coming. It was large enough to hold all the contestants and then some. "That bus will hold our contestants for the game! But don't worry! I'm sure there'll be much more Gijinkas to come. So grab your snacks, sit back, and relax. The show's about to start~"
At that, the bus had stopped right in front of the building as various cameras panned onto the bus. It was time for them to step off the bus as it began to open.
