Paladins, a free-to-play FPS from Smite dev

Announced.

"Teams in Paladins will battle to capture and hold control points, and ultimately to destroy the enemy's base while simultaneously defending their own. Each player will have a primarily weapon, a set of combat and movement abilities, and a personal mount which will move them quickly between fights. On top of that, they'll also have a customizable deck of "skill cards" that will enhance various skills and abilities."

Wow. It's kinda a dead topic, but this game has been getting a lot of good attention these days. Bumping this.

I swear we had another thread for it somewhere else that I actually posted in, but I don't see it...

Either way, I personally quite liked it earlier in the closed beta and became disinterested when they made it sped up the killing-speeds and made it feel too Overwatch-like to me.

finally got to play Zhin... with Billow he's knda like Evie that if you don't catch him at the right moment he can and will just escape heal

My Friends and I recently switched to Paladins after burning out on Overwatch.

I first played Ying exlusively but eventually when I got past Level 5 and started to get actual human players a few encounters with actual competent flankers made me swap to Evie to fight fire with fire.

I then again swapped over to Cassie because I really like the game-play of a full roll-build but now after Evie's Projectile Speed got doubled I switched back to her because blinking all over the battlefield is awesome.

I haven't gotten to play with the flanks as much

strictly cause I'm usually ending up playing a role the team is lacking

like front line support or damage

A Runaway and an Exile

I'm currently enjoying myself as Lian now. REALLY like how she's playing and all.

Though I wonder if she counts as a sniper or not. She doesn't have a sniper scope and there is a damage falloff, but that gun... is a rifle that shoots like a sniper rifle (while adhering to the above flaws)

Started playing it cause bored and its fun. I'm generally an aficionado of death at a distance so I'm having fun with Kinessa.

So apparently coming Week is all champions available and extra XP in a group.

Anyone on EU servers want to friend me to see me fail for more XP? ^^

I am amused by the Ruckus fix because I've been *totally* doing the "Keep firing until reload" thing when I parked on the point.

For exactly those reasons.

If you want, I'm up for it. Fair warning that I'm like level 9 or so. Paladins name is Morporkian, Steam name is Lavaeolus. There are a few other Lavaeoluses (Lavaeoli?) on Steam, but you'd want the one from the UK.

EDIT: If anyone else wanted to group up, I've since changed my name to "Mouse of Dunwall", because I tired of the other Lavaeolodes and not having a unique name.

Right now I'm more deviating to Paladins than Overwatch since it's shaping up real good and thankfully you don't need to deal with moral fundamentalist craps when it comes to valuing a character unlike OW.

I guess even having no story sometimes has its perks...

Chris you really let the Fandumb of Fandoms get under your skin too easily
