Huh...So, sgtpendulum, Falkon, guess we're on "Blow up shit and save the day" duty!
I got some ideas on what we could do, but I don't know if we should just plan things out in here or PM about 'em...
Also, as a question pertaining to the transfer, how many prisoners are there that are being transferred? And do the Alliance already have planned ships for taking those prisoners?

I'm a ghost, you didn't see me.Actually, I'm kinda planning to have the GTA NPCs invading Daedalus on their own terms to extract a prisoner, who was an accountant that managed to find out about the gold transport ship's route and schedule, which is crucial to their heist. Like I said, I want them to be the wildcard, heightening this sense of 'holy shit' in our RP.
@Lightdank Hell yeah these two gangstas gonna break into the prison and blow some shits up, Kamina and lamar is gonna be very hammy! For real, though, with both of them being boneheaded, I think they'll simply go in with Alliance equipment and start blowing shits up and not thought up of much else.
http://www.last.fm/user/sgtpendulum Yo, check out what I'm listening, it'll be heat, brah :^)Alrighty. How does notorious outlaw Edward Elric sound to you?
@Nitrous: okay den.
Around twenty five prisoners. And if the Alliance sent people to break prisoners out, my guess is they have a transport ship hidden somewhere.
So Lamar doesn't know about that.
I'm very much interested in joining.
I'm currently struggling to choose a character - the pool is so wide - so I might as well ask: is it possible to play one of the prisoners to be transported, lucking out on the chaos Alliance's appearance will bring? I assume they'd end up joining the aforementioned.
Yeah, he doesn't know about their operation, Frank is rather secretive with his work.
http://www.last.fm/user/sgtpendulum Yo, check out what I'm listening, it'll be heat, brah :^)A little later than I thought I would be posting this sign up but better now than never.
- Name: Kano
- Age: 46
- Species: Human Cyborg
- Appearance: Hello Baby
- Alignment: Whoever pays the most(The Black Dragon and himself first and foremost)
- Personality: While he appears to be nothing more than an aggressive brute it would be foolish to judge him based on his looks. It was through his sheer brutality and cunning that he was able to rise to the top of the Black Dragon crime cartel. Kano is also an incredibly self centred individual, willing to screw over anyone that would potentially pose a future threat to his ambitions or stand in the way of profit. That being said Kano is loyal to the Black Dragon and his employers (unless a better deal comes along) he can also hold proper conversations and is known for a somewhat dark sense of humour.
- Skills:
- Negotiation: Kano is not a slouch when it comes to cutting deals with others, he has to be to lead an infamous Outer Rim crime cartel.
- Leadership skills: Someone has to keep a large group of assorted cut throat criminals and psychopaths in line and in working order. He learned how to control the group over the course of various jobs over the past 20 years sine the Black Dragon was formed.
- Kombat Skills: Over the course of Kano's life he has had to learn how to defend himself from assorted cut throats, bounty hunters and federation troops. So he had to learn various techniques and how to use weaponry such as knives and firearms.
- Powers and Abilities:
- Cybernetic enhancements: Due to the extensive cybernetics within his body Kano is faster, stronger and has faster reflexes than the average human. This also includes a cybernetic enhancement on the right side of his face that can fire a short range laser.
- Kano Ball: Perhaps Kano's strangest technique, it involves Kano tucking himself into a ball and propel himself towards him opponent.
- Weapons/Equipment:
- Cybernetics: Over the years Kano has had extensive cybernetics placed throughout his body making him more effective in battle.
- BD Butterflies: Two large knives that Kano carries with himself at all times. Kano had these to knives that he named butterflies personally built for his own personal use they are powerful enough to cut through storm trooper armor.
- BD Pulse Pistol: A personally commissioned Black Dragon pulse pistol with a lot of stopping power. Kano has this to make up for the lack of range and power at distance offered buy his eye laser.
- Backstory:
- Born on a back water Outer Rim planet called Calypso, Kano has been involved with various criminal operations for the vast Majority of his life such as smuggling murder and stealing as examples. For a time Kano was a mercenary why had no problems carrying all manner crimes throughout his life this lead to him to gaining quite the rap sheet and lead him to join the group known as the Red Dragon. The Red Dragon specialised in assassination and had a strict code of conduct which lead to a deep seated resentment within the organisation among those who saw no future for the organisation in the current galactic climate, seeing an opportunity to gain more prestige Kano lead an internal revolt within the Red Dragon and killed the the higher ups and a large majority of loyalists. His revolt successful Kano began to rebuild the group as the Black Dragon and discarded any code of conduct and expanded into Arms trafficking, smuggling, plundering cargo ships, Racketeering and assassination. The Crime syndicate has only continued to grow and thrive within the Outer Rim and has ambitions of expanding inwards. Over the years Kano has enhanced himself with cybernetics to increase his performance in combat and to cover up injures such as right eye which was lost in a federation ambush.

This wasn't particularly easy, but I think I have it now...
- Name: Shantae
- Age: Around 17
- Species: Half-human
- Appearance: That girl with the purple hair.
◊
- Alignment: Federation
- Personality: Bubbly, energetic, and all around friendly, Shantae is a genuinely good girl that wants what's best for her friends, the denizens of Scuttle Town and her home planet. She carries a strong sense of justice and will jump at the call of any type of help that she comes across. She does however have a bad temper, getting her in trouble often with her fellow Federation peers. She also finds herself at odds with Federation decisions based on what she sees is right.
- Skills:
- Agility: She's very quick on her feet, and is a really fast runner. She also can move across the air with grace and ease.
- Endurance: As she had battles in the harshest areas of the planet SE-Q 1 N, she is accustomed to extreme heat and can endure doing intense tasks with little problems.
- Problem Solver: She's also a great problem solver, able to figure out solutions to complex puzzles and problems that she encounters.
- Powers and Abilities:
- Shapeshifting: Likely inherited from her family, (though exactly how is unknown to her), she is capable of shapeshifting. How she triggers this is by belly-dancing beforehand. She can shapeshift into pretty much any type of creature, able to use their abilities and powers to her advantage. However, as she is half-human, the time she is able to keep using these forms are short, and requires she uses everything she has in order to use. As such she only uses this power as a last resort.
- Her long hair can also be used as a weapon. She can fastly whip her hair with such power, that it is able to move concrete and break wood and rock.
- Equipment: None really
- Backstory:
- Shantae was born on the planet S3-Q 1 N, a troubled planet infamous in the galaxy for its rampant poverty, despite its high quality exports. The planet is constantly under attack by Baronians (robot engineers that gone rogue from the Sultana) and space pirates that plunder its goods whenever they get the chance, the worst being a ruthless lady pirate named Risky Boots that leads a crew composed of a completely unknown legion of aliens that the denizens simply call "Tinkerbats". With the Federation's intervention at the request of the Sultana, the planet has managed a turnaround, and S3-Q 1 N is just starting to gain more wealth from its exports.
- She was born in Scuttle Town, the planet's most well-known and frequently targeted port town. She has no recollection of her family, only knowing that her mother was a Federation Agent. She was raised by her "uncle" Mimic, a ditzy yet brilliant scientist and engineer working for the Federation and researching the Tinkerbats. As she grew up, she was trained for being an Agent like her mother, and at 16 successfully defeated an attempted attack on Scuttle Town by Ammo Baron. The feat earned her a spot as a Federation Agent, and she now travels so often in missions for the Federation against Alliance members and others.
- She is well known in S3-Q 1 N and is friends with many people in it, her closest circle being Mimic, Sky (a merchant and bird trainer), Bolo (an apprentice to Mimic that does frequent odd jobs around S3-Q 1 N), the mayor of Scuttle Town, Mayor Scuttlebutt and an cyborg called Rottytops (for her rusted outdated appearance)
- Having foiled an attempted pillaging of a port town by Risky and her band of pirates, she appears in Daedalus to take Risky Boots to trial for the attempted attack (again).
...I think I have something.
- Name: Pet Shop
- Age: Unknown
- Species: Hawk
- Appearance: Surprisingly menacing for something that's not even a meter high.
◊
- Alignment: He has its own master and to that master Pet Shop owes absolute loyalty. He will ally with whoever he thinks can help him in re-uniting with his master, but any alliance ends as soon as PS deems his allies useless or detrimental.
- Personality: How can you describe hawk's personality? "Ruthless" is the answer. Pet Shop is a born killer who, unlike "sentient" races, has no qualms about breaking every possible moral code imaginable if that furthers him to his goals. To him there is nothing holy and every line can be crossed. Combined with his human-like intellect and animal cunning he's an enemy not to be trifled with.
- Skills:
- Usage of Tools - although limited due to having no real limbs to speak of apart from his talons and his beak Pet Shop can use simple items as good as an average human would, if a little clumsily, such as writing down his thoughts on the piece of paper or grabbing a wrench to use it as a makeshift weapon.
- Intimidation - his glare is almost unsettling, given how intense and hateful it is.
- Comprehension - not only limited to tools, Pet Shop has a general idea on how people work or what do they do. Although perhaps sounding a bit redundant, this allows him to catch many a cocky enemy off-guard by outgambitting them.
- Powers:
- Hawk - well, duh. Apart from being given the benefit of flight, Pet Shop is also gifted with really good eyesight, able to see littlest details up to 4 kilometers forward. Of course, due to his relatively small body mass that also means that stronger gusts of wind or someone swinging a big weapon spells certain trouble for him.
- Horus - due to experiments made on him a while ago, Pet Shop has learned to harness and use his Spiral Force - he was purposefully pumped full of it, far more than an average animal can have - in a unique way, referred to as Stand. It materializes as a bizarre six-armed creature
although PS doesn't need it active to make use of his power... which is conjuring all manners of ice, mostly icicles and projectiles. They can get as big as a hovercraft if Pet Shop has the time to conjure such big ones. He's smart enough to utilize the ice in various ways, such as making himself a pathway through the body of water in times of extreme hurricanes or great air traffic or by trapping his enemy in an ice cage. Having Horus summoned amplifies the effects, but at the same time - curiously enough - puts Pet Shop in danger: any damage sustained on the Stand will reflect on its user as well, so a well-placed laser blast can potentially melt PS's head off without even hitting him.
- Weapons/Equipment: his helmet and scarf, a memento from his master. They don't seem to have any function other than decorative however.
- Backstory:
- Experimenting on animals is nothing new within the Federation, particularly when Spiral Force is concerned. Of course, there are movements against this kind of bestiality, but as the scientists have pointed out, experimenting on sentient races would cause a much bigger uproar and even in the age of prosperity and star-travelling some sacrifices have to be made. The experiments quickly moved to young or unborn animals such as birds or reptilians, seeing what kind of boundaries can be pushed with a proper application of Spiral Force. The result, once it hatched, proved very unusual: then unnamed hawk has displayed a limited ability to conjure and control ice. As it grew, it started gaining a startling amount of sentience and intelligence and its powers increased with each passing day to the logical caution of scientists responsible for the project.
- Upon their superiors' orders, scientists decided to cut the experiment short and kill off the hawk to not have it run rampant. Sadly enough, the hawk was more than aware of his supposed fate and liked it not a single bit. Once the facility was nothing but an icy coffin with mangled bodies still inside, the hawk escaped into the world. Ruthless and cruel, it learned and moved from planet to planet, leaving a bloody swathe whenever it went, partially out of its exaggerated animal instincts, partially out of human pettiness and cruelty.
- Eventually, it stumbled upon a man of incredible charisma on a touristic planet Cairo. Enthralled by this man's odd qualities, the hawk found himself at a loss of words - so to speak. It willingly went with him and had sworn, over a piece of paper, to become man's most loyal guardian. None would trespass over the opulent mansion of his new master. For his sworn allegiance, he was given a place to stay, extraordinary amounts of food and a name - Pet Shop.
- They had become separated upon an unfortunate occasion: a group of long-lasting enemies of his master raided his mansion, killed many of his loyal retainers and sought to dispose of him. Pet Shop fought bravely, but was defeated and only escaped with his life on pure happenstance. Awakening under care of an unknown child, he returned to the mansion the moment he could, sparing child's family out of gratitude, an emotion he couldn't quite decipher. The mansion was in shambles, but his master was definitely alive, he could tell. And so, Pet Shop left Cairo to search for the one who he ever respected.
- Unfortunately for him he was located and apprehended on planet Daedualus. Thrown into the prison and with his powers locked away, Pet Shop cursed that unfortunate day, left in a dark cell on his own... but then he caught wind of supposed prisoner transfer. No doubts his relocation would mean certain demise... and so he began thinking of a plan to set himself free...

@Paperorc: Stormtrooper armor will probably have different armor grades, so we'll say his knives can cut through heavy armor with some difficulty, and standard and lighter armors with relative ease, yeah? Not sure why the cybernetics were listed twice, but as long as they don't do anything other than act as prosthesis and what's listed, it's all good. Accepted.
@Mr. Stack: I'm not familiar with the games, so what's the other half of her species in the context of TBG? When you say "move across the air", do you mean flight or acrobatics? I'm trying to think of how her shape-shifting would function in-universe, but as long as she doesn't replicate extremely advanced tech or non-physical things like Spiral Force, that bit should probably be fine. In fact, here's a thought: her abilities and Midna's are very similar, so if it's okay by Falkon, perhaps we could say Shantae is half-Twili.
@Fergard: Still considering Pet Shop, and I'm totally lost as to whatever it is he's from, but he looks mostly alright so far. Are you sure you're going to be okay with such limited means of communicating with other characters, though? And is Horus supposed to be approximately Pet Shop's size, or did you mean it to be TEN STORIES TALL or the like? I think I'd probably have to veto the latter. Also, if you have something in mind for his master, please let me know by post or PM. Otherwise, I might attempt to work his master into the plot somewhere.
GM: AGOG S4 & F/WC RP; Co-GM: TABA, SOTR, UUA RP; Sub-GM: TTS RP. I have brought peace, freedom, justice, and security to my new Empire. Here is a scan from the manga to depict its size.
As for limited means of communication, I think I can manage. It's definitely gonna make for a more challenging RP.
OK, I went very overboard with the background stuff.
- Name: Kiriko Shijima
- Age: 23
- Species: Human
- Appearance: Kiriko
Formal Uniform
ACD Stormtrooper Armour
- Alignment: Alliance (former Android Crime Division fugitives)
- Personality: Around most people, Kiriko is incredibly stoic and cold, although she will open up emotionally when with people she is closer to. She tends to be very meticulous, noting and often recording detail in everything she sees. Although she normally seems calm and collected, she can gain a fiery passion in combat. Justice is very important to her, and it is her belief that she must act for the greater good that caused her to break away from the federation, as with her comrades. Although she isn’t immediately suited to teamwork, if she does grow to consider somebody a worthy ally she will be very loyal and eventually trusting.
- Skills:
- Detective: Kiriko has the observation and deduction skills necessary for solving crimes and mysteries.
- Combat: Kiriko is skilled in combat, being particularly good with firearms but also able with melee weaponry. She is also able to find the weak points in stranger foes such as androids.
- Technical Knowledge: Although not an expert, Kiriko has acquired a fair amount of technical knowledge from her associates and as such understands the workings of most artificial life and droids and can make minor repairs to equipment.
- Driving/Piloting: She can skillfully maneuver any vehicle, from motorbikes to spaceships, and quickly takes to new ones.
- Powers and Abilities: None, although at high levels of fitness she is just a regular human.
- Weapons/Equipment:
- ACD Gear:’ Kiriko has a regular gun, equipped with special bullets that can pierce armour. She also has reinforced boots which make kicks a viable attack against metal targets.
- ACD Stormtrooper Armour: Kiriko still has her Stormtrooper armour, which is specially adapted by the Android Crimes Division. Compared to regular armour, it has a vastly different design, is somewhat stronger and contains some of the ACD’s special technology. Each suit is locked to one specific user and is partially retractable due to the nanobot technology, allowing for it to be put on quickly.
- Break Gunner:
A special weapon incorporating nanobot technology. It can switch between Gun mode, where it acts as a blaster, and Break mode, where it manifests a short curved blade. It also has a functionality known as tuning, where it gains new functions by combining with the shift cars.
- Shift Cars: The Shift Cars are a set of experimental compact droids which incorporate nanobot technology. Although not truly sentient, they have an AI which allows them to act intelligently and move under their own power to follow orders. Each incorporates nanobots which allow them to add functionality to other ACD devices while being incredibly compact. Due to the eccentricity of their creators, they clearly resemble toy cars and answer to their nicknames as well as their official droid designations. Due to their small size and ability to transmit data, they are useful for reconnaissance and although they do not have communicative ability, members of the ACD have learnt to understand their mechanical noises to some extent. Kiriko is only in possession of a small selection of these droids.
- Max Flare: Can resist high temperatures. Enables a flamethrower function.
- Midnight Shadow: Can cloak itself, turning completely invisible. Enables a stealth function, blocking tracking systems and interfering with communication signals.
- Massive Monster: Enables a physical weapon to manifest which resembles a set of jaws, which can also be used as a clamp or jack.
- Rumble Dump: Enables a drill to manifest. Initially this just seems to be a power tool but it was meant to be a functional core drill. Although it doesn’t work properly, a powerful spiral force user could use it in a pinch, or it could eventually be upgraded into a functional core drill.
- Burning Solar: Can absorb and emit light. Enables a similar function, which can be used as a torch or to blind enemies.
- Colourful Commercial: Can create realistic holograms.
- Road Winter: Can resist low temperatures. Enables a freezing function.
- Bike
◊: A fairly mundane motorbike. It has a secret compartment and can be controlled by a Shift Car.
- Tridoron: A small spaceship previously used by the ACD capable of fairly high speeds. It can also use the functions of the Shift Cars (although the manifested weaponry appears inside), mostly utilising Midnight Shadow for stealth. It also doubles as Kiriko’s current living quarters. Aesthetically it is red and black, with an angular aerodynamic design, as well as six large engines and an access ramp to allow Kiriko’s bike to easily enter or leave.
- Backstory:
- Kiriko was born on Koyukon to Sukimo Shijima and Tenjuro Banno, both intelligent scientists. When Banno seemed to die, her mother raised her and her younger brother Go, instilling them with a strong sense of justice. Eventually they both joined the Stormtrooper unit, wishing to enforce justice and defeat evil. Kiriko showed clear intellectual potential and as such was promoted to an investigative role, then into the Android Crime Division once it was founded. She managed to get Go into the ACD eventually and bonded with the other members, growing close to them as they worked for the Federation.
- As she worked for the ACD, she learnt from her coworkers and became experienced with the advanced technology the group was supplied with, becoming more and more distinct from the average Stormtrooper. Eventually, the group saw too much of the Federation’s dark side and rebelled but the Federation quickly discovered this, leading to the group being disbanded and labelled dangerous fugitives.
- Spread across space after a disastrous final mission, Kiriko is now separated from the rest of the ACD but escaped with some of its powerful equipment. Now instilled with a justice-led hate for the Federation she once served, she plans to join the Alliance as she tries to reunite with the rest of her team.
- Daedalus: Kiriko has been travelling around space in the Tridoron, attempting to find a large Alliance group. Hearing discreetly of the prisoner transfer, she plans to find it, as it seems like a sensible target for Alliance rebels, so she can join up with them.
- Relationships: Kiriko is deeply loyal to the other members of the former ACD, although she currently has no idea of their location.
There seemed to be too much about background characters to just put in her backstory and relationships so:
- Banno Tenjuro, worked with another scientist named Krim Steinbelt on creating a new type of android named Roidmude, which were meant to have AI indistinguishable from human minds and be able to fit into any role in society easily. Krim gave him experimental nanobot technology to help the development but Banno wanted power and corrupted the Roidmude’s minds, trying to form a personal army. Once they came online, the advanced androids all rebelled, seemingly killing both Banno and Krim before escaping out of Federation controlled space. However, both scientists survived by copying their minds into spare artificial bodies, although Banno did this in secret while Krim publicly revealed his survival. *Seeing potential in this technology, and a threat in the Roidmude and androids like them, the Federation founded an elite Stormtrooper squad called the Android Crimes Division, which was tasked with travelling Federation space and solving crimes related to A.I.s and advanced droids.
- Experimenting more with his nanotechnology, Krim Steinbelt, with help from Rinna Sawagami, created many pieces of advanced technology for the ACD to use. However, much to the Federation’s annoyance, he refused to share it and sometimes even hid the existence of this technology.
- For a good while, the ACD travelled around as a functional Stormtrooper unit and solved crimes but although they normally contacted the preferable parts of the Federation they eventually saw increasing amounts of its darker side and couldn’t serve it any more. They planned to betray the Federation but were quickly discovered, the unit being officially disbanded and scattered across space, labelled as dangerous fugitives. Although no longer an official organisation, or even in the same place, they are still fiercely loyal to each other and, as they fight the Alliance, have the goal of reuniting at heart.
- Group:
- Krim Steinbelt: A talented scientist and inventor who created advanced nanotechnology. Currently in a robotic body.
- Shinnosuke Tomari: A detective and user of the Drive armour. He is Kiriko’s assigned partner and, although his techniques are unorthodox, he has often proven effective.
- Kiriko Shijima: A detective and one of the earlier members. See the rest of this sheet.
- Jun Honganji: The leader, and another founder, of the group. Although eccentric, he has a long record of success and is begrudinly respected by high-ranking Stormtroopers
- Rinna Sawagami: An intelligent scientist who works with Krim to invent things for the group.
- Kyu Saijo: A talented researcher, able to find any information the group may need.
- Genpachrio Otta: The group’s link to the main Stormtrooper forces, and a proven veteran in the forces.
- Go Shijima: Kiriko’s younger brother. The user of the Mach armour.
- Chase: The prototype Roidmude, who did initially rebel but eventually betrayed the Roidmude and joined the ACD, the Federation pardoning his previous crimes. The user of the Chaser armour.
- Technology: The ACD’s advanced tech is based on Krim’s advances in nanobots. This technology includes Krim’s nanobots, which allows most obviously for very compact technology, changing functions and components so retractable they look to appear out of nowhere.
- The most significant of this technology are the Shift Cars, tiny droids that carry nanobots to achieve specific purposes and enhance the other technology, and the “Kamen Rider” armour system. The armour system uses the nanobots to make a retractable armour that can be contained in a belt unit known as a “Driver” and a special Shift Car. This armour enhances the physical ability of the user significantly and can only be used by the intended person. It is named after an urban legend of a group of warriors called Kamen Riders who used similar armour (albeit empowered by Spiral Force, not nanobots) and there are three unique units codenamed Drive, Mach and Chaser. Additionally, the unit has several pieces of unique weaponry and vehicles. The armour, weapons and vehicles all gain special functions by combining with the nanotechnolgy of the Shift Cars.
- Enemies: Although they combated various threats to the Federation, the main threat they were brought together to combat were the Roidmude. These are an advanced type of android with highly sophisticated AI who wish to bring chaos to civilization and increase their own power. They have a secret weapon codenamed the “Slowdown” which releases a swarm of nanobots that create a high-density cloud that slows down everything in the area except the Roidmude themselves and a few exceptions(anybody with a Shift Car can create a fake signal which also gives them immunity and anyone with powerful Spiral Force can also counteract the cloud), which is a major threat whenever they get the time to set it up. At present, some have been destroyed and they are unable to make more but about 80 Roidmude, including the more powerful generals, remain at large. Banno, now in a robotic body similar to a Roidmude one, is alive and attempting to generate more power but nobody knows this, although Krim has suspicions.

@Strat: In the original movies, people who are plugged into the Matrix basically think Agents are from the FBI, which is why the cops answer to the Agents whenever one shows up to arrest a redpill. The dynamic would basically be the same here. Drugged humans would just see Stormtroopers as regular cops and Agents as federal investigators.
Just pretend I wrote something witty here, okay?
