Considering that we seem to have representatives from every genre making up this verse...
So some P Cs are guards, some are prisoners, and some are attackers, right?
Up to you.
I've decided no teleporters, if only so the Stargates can be one of a kind and even more valuable.
I said I'm cool with it.

Looks like I'm first.
- Name: Neo (birth name: Thomas A. Anderson)
- Age: Early thirties
- Species: Human
- Appearance: The guy in front.
◊
- Alignment: Alliance (Zion Resistance)
- Personality: Neo is calm and collected at all times, to the point where the most intensely he ever expresses his feelings would be a moderate display of emotion for anyone else. He's firm in his beliefs and willing to do anything to help others. If one of his compatriots is in danger of death, Neo will fight through everything in his way to save them, even if the odds are stacked heavily against him, and once he decides to do something, nothing short of being knocked out cold will stop him—and even then, once he comes to, he gets right back up and keeps going.
- Skills: Neo caught the Zion Resistance's attention for his computer hacking and programming skills, which he can still make use of if the situation calls for it. Since joining the Resistance, he has learned many schools of martial arts, which he blends into a fluid, acrobatic and eclectic hand-to-hand combat style. He has also learned to use various types of guns, with a preference for going Guns Akimbo. However, Neo will use anything and everything in his environment to get the upper hand in combat, whether that's a katana, a lamp post, or even a passing train.
- Powers and Abilities:
- By using the Spiral Force, Neo can bend the laws of physics. He can jump across rooftops, dodge bullets, make his strikes faster and harder-hitting, and perform the kind of Wire Fu and Gun Fu that normally only happens in movies.
- Neo can also use the Spiral Force to set off mini-EMPs that disable technology, but this only works on small-scale, simple electronics, like security cameras or digital locks. If Neo were to try and perform this on one of the Machines he fights, he would probably collapse from exhaustion, if not outright destroy his own brain.
- Weapons/Equipment:
- Guns. Lots of guns. He carries at least two pistols on him at all times, and will gladly steal fallen opponents' guns. He sometimes does this so much that he starts throwing guns away rather than reloading them.
- His Core Drill. All field operatives of the Zion Resistance make their Core Drills into sunglasses in order to make them harder for the Machines to find. When an operative taps into the Spiral Force, green digital rain appears to fall down the lenses. Neo needs to have his sunglasses on in order to make use of it...or so he thinks.
- A spring-loaded cell phone
◊, used to communicate with other members of the Resistance when out on missions. This is kept deliberately low-tech, both to keep a low profile and so the Machines can't bring their communications down.
- Backstory:
- Neo's homeworld was once run by humans and known as Zion, but some centuries ago, humanity's machines turned on them and enslaved them. Using the energy from human work and activity, from running power plants to simply walking down the street, the Machines, led by an AI known as Deus Ex Machina, run the planet, which they call 01, from behind the scenes. Humans on 01, aside from the Federation Stormtroopers brought in from elsewhere, live under the drug-induced delusion that they live on Earth circa 1999. They don't realize the Machines run the whole planet, or that they essentially all live in one gigantic city. In fact, humanity could believe almost anything if the Machines deemed it necessary to keep the illusion going. These drugs also keep humanity from making use of the Spiral Force, even if they somehow obtain a Core Drill. However, one percent of the population rejects these drugs on some level, which is why the Machines have Agents working alongside the Stormtroopers. These Agents appear human, but are actually search-and-destroy robots that target anyone who comes too close to realizing the truth. They can go anywhere on 01, change their appearance at will, and exhibit raw strength, speed, and toughness so great that every human who has ever stood their ground against an Agent thus far has died. Those who "wake up" and survive long enough usually end up joining the Zion Resistance, a movement to fight back against the Machines and reclaim humanity's freedom.
- Thomas A. Anderson was, by day, an ordinary software programmer on 01 at Metacortex Inc. But by night, he was Neo, a hacker who pushed the bounds of both his computer and the law on a daily basis, driven by a question that the whole of the hacker underground thirsted to know the answer to: what is the Spiral Force? His search led him to Trinity and Morpheus, two of the Zion Resistance's lead operatives. For Neo, the truth came in the form of a red pill which flushed all the Machines' drugs out of his system. Once he got over the fact that his entire life and world was a lie, Neo adjusted to life with the Zion Resistance and dedicated himself fully to the cause.
- Neo, like everyone in the Resistance, has heard the legend of the One. Supposedly, about 200 years ago, there was a person who could use the Spiral Force without the need of a Core Drill. It was he who first started freeing humans from the Machines, founded the city of New Zion, and organized the core of the Resistance. After he died, the city's Oracle made a prophecy that someday, someone else with this ability would arrive, and that this reincarnation of the One would free all of humanity from the Machines' control. What Neo doesn't know is that Morpheus has been seeking the One for as long as he's had his own squad, freeing the best minds he can find and hoping one of them will show a flash of their true potential.
- Any previously established relationships?: Neo is part of the Nebuchadnezzar squad of operatives. Morpheus is the squad's captain, while Trinity is its first officer. Tank and Dozer, brothers born in New Zion, serve as mission control for any operations on the surface, and Neo, Apoc, Switch, Cypher, and Mouse round out the rest of the crew, doing anything the squad needs.
- How did he get to Daedalus, our starting point?: Thanks to New Zion's access to offworld news, its residents have gotten word of the Rebel Alliance's exploits. Since 01 and the Machines have a comfortable arrangement with the Federation, the Resistance leadership council decides to reach out to the Alliance by sending operatives abroad to prove their worth and usefulness, then using that as leverage to gain Alliance assistance in taking down the 01 government. Morpheus sends Neo to accomplish this task, both to accomplish the stated intent of the council and to see if Neo's true potential reveals itself. The prison break is Neo's first such mission.

Just pretend I wrote something witty here, okay?- Name: Sveta.
- Age: 18.
- Species: Beastman.
- Appearance: This,
but in more modern clothing, namely a more lightweight version of the Stormtrooper uniform (less armor, more synthetic fibers).
- Alignment: Federation.
- Personality: Rather quiet and reserved, though nice enough. Somewhat paranoid, though this doesn't affect her much. Very focused on her current task, whatever it may be. Doesn't make friends easily, less due to being shy and more because she suspects everyone of something.
- Skills:
- Can remember names and places very well. Getting to those places, not so much, but she knows it when she gets there.
- Powers and Abilities:
- Beastform: Sveta, like all beastmen, can transform into a more animalistic form, with hers resembling a large, mostly-bipedal wolf. While in this form, she has access to increased strength and speed, but her intelligence is reduced to slightly above that of a regular wolf. She tries to use it only when she has no other choice.
- Weapons/Equipment:
- Umbra Gear: This set of armor is standard-issue for all Beastmen in service to the Federation. It's similar to Stormtrooper armor, but it's made out of specially-created fibers, so that the armor is as strong as regular Stormtrooper armor, but is nowhere near as clunky. In addition, it's made so that beastmen wearing it can transform without having to remove their armor first. Once they revert back to their regular form, the armor reverts with them.
- Natural weapons: Teeth and claws. Nothing special here.
- Backstory:
- Sveta was born to two other beastmen, on the beastman home planet of Belinsk, as the younger sister of two. Her family was very loving and caring, and Sveta had a good childhood. However, her parents were (and are) fanatically loyal to the Federation, and they raised her the same way. Her brother Volechek wasn't the same way though, and he tried to educate Sveta on what the Federation had become. Poor Sveta was pulled increasingly violently from one side to the other (literally, in one case), so that by the time she came of age, she didn't know who or what to believe. By the time she enlisted with the Federation's beastmen corps, Volechek had been officially disowned by her parents after he ran away the night before he was to join the Federation officially, leaving a note saying that he had gone to the Alliance. Sveta entered the Federation's beastmen corps with a head full of ideological turbulence and a troubled heart. She kept with the Federation though, because she didn't know what else she could do.

“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor Hebert- Name: Ba'al.
- Age: Around 25,000 years old.
- Species: Goa'uld, currently inhabiting a human host.
- Appearance: The
◊ human
◊ host
◊. The
◊ symbiote
◊.
- Alignment: The Federation, via the Goa'uld Empire. But mostly himself.
- Personality: Ruthlessly self-interested, ambitious and power-hungry, cunning and manipulative, arrogant and egocentric while also extremely rational and shrewd. Despite these traits, Ba'al is considerably subtler and more reasonable than his Card-Carrying Villain brethren and isn't quite as melodramatic and grandiose (well, mostly... he isn't above hamming it up from time to time), and usually maintains a friendly and charming demeanor. And unlike many of his fellows he is 100% aware that they aren't gods and has no delusions about their own power. Opinion is divided on whether this make him more or less dangerous – on one hand his lack of fanaticism means he can be persuaded and reasoned with, on the other he’s more calculating and less likely to fall victim to his own hubris. He also has a better understanding of human nature than is typical of the Goa'uld, and possesses a sardonic sense of humour.
- Skills: Superhuman intellect. Military strategist. Charismatic manipulator. Long history of leadership.
- Powers and Abilities: As a parasitic symbiote, Ba’al can implant himself into the body of other life forms and completely control their body. Any body inhabited by a symbiote will possess enhanced strength, speed and resilience, an immunity to disease, and a vastly increased lifespan. The Goa’uld can also give the host body an inhumanly deep voice and glowing golden eyes, although this is entirely optional.
- Weapons/Equipment:
- He wears a Kara Kesh
on his left hand. These devices function as energy weapons, torture devices, personal force fields, communicators, and can beam the user onto nearby motherships. He usually carries several knives.
- He wears a Kara Kesh
- Backstory:
- Ba’al first rose to prominence among the System Lords during the Second Goa’uld Dynasty, some time round 16,000 B.C. At this time he was a minor underlord in service to their leader Ra, and aided in the conquest of many worlds. When the Goa’uld later discovered Earth they deemed the human race a perfect source of slaves and hosts, still primitive enough to be fooled by their advanced technology into seeing them as divine. Ba’al rose to greater power, establishing himself in ancient Canaan and ruling as a god. Vast numbers of humans were taken to other planets in the Empire’s territory to serve as breeding stock, seeding them throughout the galaxy. Ba’al foresaw that the humans would rebel and left the planet early, earning him the wrath of his former master Ra, and causing him to be kicked out of the Sun God's inner circle. The rest of the Goa’uld were indeed driven off the planet, and over time forgot about Earth’s significance. Ba’al remained in Ra’s bad books, resulting in warring, political strife, infighting and chaos, which we won’t go into here.
- Flash forward a few thousand years; when the Goa’uld first made contact with the pre-Federation humans they were shocked to see how far their erstwhile subjects had advanced, and only refrained from declaring war out of fear that they were no match for the combined strength of humanity and their allies. Ra decided that allying with them was the most prudent course of action for the moment, with aims to either acquire more power and influence until they could effectively control the Council from within, or ingratiate themselves throughout the Federation until they had sufficient power to defeat their ‘allies’ on the battlefield. Several System Lords were chosen to represent the Goa’uld Empire among the Federation, led by Ra’s brother Apophis. Ba’al was among these ambassadors, and now has the task of maintaining relations with the Federation.
- Any previously established relationships?
- Ba’al is part of the High Council of System Lords, but a fairly low-ranking member due to his strained relationship with Ra – he’s basically middle management, and he resents it. His ambassadorial position is effectively a ruse to get rid of him and weaken his position further, as he can’t effectively manage his own territory. His performance could potentially return him to golden boy status, or put him on the chopping block once and for all.
- How did he get to Daedalus, our starting point?
- He was sent by Apophis, his immediate superior, to represent the Empire’s interests and show their presence at the prisoner transfer, and to serve as a reminder that a goodly number of their stormtroopers are conscripted from Goa’uld territories.

- Name: Hilde Von Krone
- Age: 25
- Species: Human
- Appearence: Picture a high tech version of this
- Alignment: Federation
- Personality: Hilde was raised in a strict, orderly military family, and her personality reflects this. She holds herself to the highest standards in all things, and is determined never to dishonor herself or, by extension, her family. She is not a strict commander, but she expects her orders to be followed when given, and for anyone under her command to give their all in combat.
- Skills
- Command ability: Hilde, having been trained in the arts of command since she was a child, proved to have a natural talent as a commander. Due to the way she conducts herself and her policy of never asking her troops to do something she herself would not do, she has earned the undying loyalty of her troops, who would follow her to the ends of the galaxy.
- Marksmanship: A standard part of her upbringing, Hilde is trained in the use of a wide variety of weapons. She can fire pistols, rifles, and other such weapons with pinpoint accuracy, and often switches these weapons as the situation dictates.
- Hand to hand combat: Hilde, in addition to being trained with guns, also excels in hand to hand combat, with her exceptional strength and speed giving her an edge in such encounters in the event she is disarmed or chooses to engage in a sparing match with someone.
- Powers and Ability's: She doesn't really have much in the way of powers. Just a normal human.
- Weapons/Equipment
- Custom built armor: Hilde uses a specially made suit of armor in her day to day affairs. This armor is made to resemble a suit of armor not unlike that which would be worn in the days of middle age knights. However, looks are where the similarity's end. The armor is state of the art, with advanced mesh underlays to protect her from gunfire of all types, lightweight materials to keep her mobile in combat, and a hardened exoskeleton exterior to enable her withstand substantial impacts.
- Guns: Hilde, being a military commander, is rarely without a weapon on her person. Typically she will have a simple one handed pistol on her for general day to day affairs, but she will equip herself with heavier arms should the situation warrant it.
- Communicator: A standard encrypted communicator to enable communication between Hilde and her troops.
- Backstory
- The Von Krone family has a long and proud history of producing some of the finest military officers in the galaxy. Many of their number were instrumental in quelling the chaos of the unification war 30 years ago. In return for their loyal service, the federation granted the family control over a planet, which was named Wolfkrone by the new rulers, who established a monarchy and brought order and control to the planet. Hilde was born into this line, and as such was trained from a young age in the arts of combat and command. Proving to be an exceptional commander, many predicted that she would go far.
- However, in recent years the Von Krone family has fallen on a string of bad luck. Many of the senior members of the family have died or been otherwise incapacitated. After her father was driven to insanity following a debilitating mental illness, Hilde is now the last remaining direct descendant of the Von Krone line, and it is now up to her to continue the line and uphold her family's honor and reputation.
- While her troops remain loyal to her, her people have begun to grow angry. The bad luck of the family appears to have started to spread to the planet itself. The economy has begun to tank, trade ships find themselves frequently ambushed by raiders, and other unlucky events have caused a rebellious element to spring up. It was at this point that the Federation offered to assign extra troops to keep the people from rebelling, in exchange for her agreeing to serve the Federation as a ship commander. Finding this offer acceptable, Hilde agreed to the offer and reluctantly left her people behind to find herself honor on the battlefield and redeem her faltering family name.
- Any previously established relationships?
- Hilde, while on duty for the federation, remains the legitimate ruler of planet Wolfkrone, and maintains contact with her advisers on a daily basis to keep up to date on the status of her people. She also holds command over the crew of her ship.
- How did she get to Daedalus, our starting point?
- Hilde was tasked by the Federation to guard a high value prisoner and ensure nothing goes wrong.

- Name: Dak Hamee
- Age: 4 years (in human terms, roughly early 20's or so)
- Species: Hork-Bajir
- Appearance: Yep.
- Alignment: Officially, he's aligned with the Federation, although in practice he's much more of a neutral presence... for the moment.
- Personality: He's exceptionally kind, gentle, and caring to all living things, to the point of naivety. His race has no concept of directed violence, meaning that he's a staunch pacifist (although he will definitely learn that sometimes he has to play rough). Besides that, he's courageous and willing to take a stand for his beliefs.
- Skills: Dak is what's known as a "seer" in Hork-Bajir culture; while the rest of his race have the intellectual capacities of toddlers, Dak is a prodigy, even by the standards of other species. His capacity to rapidly process information means that he can quickly innovate, learn, and adapt to new situations. His intellectual capacity rivals and maybe even outstrips many other sentient species. That said, Dak's isolated upbringing means that he'll initially lag behind in many customs, both social and technological.
- Powers and Abilities: Like all Hork-Bajir, Dak is somewhat tougher than the average human; his rapid metabolism allows him to recover from many injuries. note The blades on his body are extremely sharp, and can serve as natural weapons in a pinch. He's also an extremely good climber.
- Weapons/Equipment: Maybe a universal translator or whatever language barrier-breacher we're using. Other than that, nothing.
- Backstory:
- Dak's hails from a backwater planet, a Federation colony officially known as Research World 97-C. Initial orbital scans seemed to confirm that there was no intelligent life on the planet, paving the way for a standard Federation colonization effort. The colony was well underway when the Federation realized that the deep, massively forested valleys of this mountainous world were inhabited by a primitive species: one that had existed at sub-Neolithic standards of technology for thousands of years, and in all that time had yet to master fire. The original plans to turn the world into a standard mining outpost were hastily abandoned, and the colony instead became a xenoanthropological research station. The fact that this particular xenoanthropological station is located uncomfortably close to Coalition space, and is suspiciously well-guarded, certainly had nothing to do with the decision.
- The Hork-Bajir didn't mind the humans on their world, but in time less-than-scrupulous politicians within the sector began campaigning to resume their original plans to strip-mine large swathes of the planet. They argued that the Hork-Bajir were not a truly sentient species, but simply very intelligent animals and thus not protected by Federation law. Tensions grew, and into this tension Dak was born, a once-in-a-generation "seer". The only member of his species capable of intelligent discourse with humans, Dak was eventually sent offworld as an envoy to argue on behalf of his species. Unfortunately, in a massive galaxy-spanning empire, legislature protecting one obscure sentient species can very easily fall through the cracks....
- How did he get to Daedalus, our starting point?
- Dak arrived on Daedalus aboard a standard Federation freighter, accompanied by two childhood friends of his. He chose the heavily populated Daedalus as his first stop, hoping to learn more about the Federation and its history before trying to make his case to the Federation.
Debating whether to join this or Battleworld 2.0. If I do join this one, my initial choices are Mike Schmidt, Jay and Silent Bob, or Strider Hiryuu.
