Compressed, (but still relevant) for your convenience. Having just boarded the plane, holding a backpack in one hand, an iPhone 5c in the other, I sit down and attempt to relax. Put in some ear buds, bring up the podcasts, listen to the latest Hello Internet...ooh, or maybe Welcome To Nightvale!
The phone buzzes, way louder than expected. Seriously, why can you adjust the volume and buzzer with then same buttons? And sometimes you can adjust the volume, and sometimes not, and you have no idea when, BLAH.
I attempt to calm the crowd down. Heh heh...sorry...people...loud buzzer...I don't think it's deadly, though.
Huh. Unknown number.
I inch my hand down to the answer button...
Howards told me to phone you. She says to hurry up. Not that I care. I'm using her phone right now.
Why couldn't she phone me herself?
We're having...complications. Nothing we can't handle, but...
...But nothing. Hurry up and get your @$$ to Sweden.
And then he hung up.
I put the earbuds back in my ears, reclined my seat sliGAH!!!
And then it rang again. This time, the caller ID was a mix of 1-3 digit numbers with decimals between them. Hmm. That doesn't look foreboding at all...
I slowly lowered my finger down...

Fireblast the zombies.
Feels good to use this on an actual target.

"Very bad, Amp, very, very bad!"
The Party brightens up upon spying Ichigo.
"Ichigo! Welcome back! The Sacred Spirit is preparing our secret weapon. That'll take a long time, though. For now, we'll just group up with you."
Shadow and the others form a protective circle around Ichigo's hoverbike, running at an equal speed in order to maintain formation, slinging bolts of Elemental Energy at any Mobs or Spawners that pass by. Commander Protoh snarls.
"Godmodder, you idiot! Do I have to punch your face in a second time?! You are NOT conquering the Pantheon!"

"Okay so what the gorilla is going on here?" Deimos looks out across the valley and sighs. "Okay, can someone up top drop me some weapons?" There is a quick pop, and Deimos has a flamethrower. "That'll do."
"Leeeeerrroooooyyyyy!!!!! Jjjjeeeeeeennkkiiiiinss!!!" Deimos charges into the Valley, flamethrower ablaze, soon to be followed by the numerous amount of undead around him.

@Herobrine: Just woke up. I'll PM you later today.
Ok. Now that you're there, we can get much better scan details... it seems that there's a lot of free-floating trope energy. I estimate that you could probably charge about... two Eddies per <insert turn-appropriate unit of time here>
Right... I've got a few things planned that I could do with that.
mm. starting simple, is he? I don't need to waste any magic power on those.
Seda runs up to the zombie horde and begins slashing and stabbing through them with her halberd (not a tall order, considering they are rotting).
@ herobrine: Does boosting summons work the same here as in the last game (i.e. you get 3 boosts, which cannot be free-floating) or have things changed.
I fully expected the boulder to do nothing.
I shoot 200 minigun rounds at the skeletons. I then start summoning the Yellow Devil.

A new player joins!
I pick off a Creeper from 500 meters with a sniper rifle.
Connecting a small generator on my belt to a large backpack, I begin charging a Point Singularity Projector (PSP).
Intake vents on the backpack start drawing in and separating atmospheric Hydrogen and Oxygen for use as a jetpack.

@herobrine Wait, so we get one free artifact from "previous RPs", or can we only summon one artifact from previous RPs?

Here we go...
I feel like I should introduce myself somewhat because, all evidence to the contrary, I'm not new to DTG. I've been playing for about 2 and a half years over on the M Cforums. Current... situations have led me to branch out into two story lines and thus, two games. I have a few questions about this version though.
1) Can I bring an artifact from anywhere? Like, for example, my staff I used in M Cforums DTG 2? Do I have to charge it? And if so, for how long?
2) Are there assists? Although, I think this has already been asked.
After a lot of fiddling around, I have discovered that what I was looking for is called a labelnote. Sorry, but I didn't expect the markup code to be so different from M Cforum's. So I'm putting this in a labelnote because its long.
Entities question + suggestion
3) What is the power scale for entities? Is it linear? As in, adding 10 more charge points will ALWAYS boost the end result's strength by X, no matter what the charge is at currently? I'd recommend having the power scale be a cube root function. I know a little bit of math and know that a major problem with Tv T 1 was stat inflation. So here's my graph for it:
Edit- never mind. I made this account yesterday, so apparently I can't post a link to Desmos. Here's the equation itself though if you want to plug it into Desmos: y=20(.1x-4)^(1/3)+35
The red line relates entity hp (and so, strength. Numbers can be tweaked.) to charge time and the black line is the derivative of the red line ( y=(2/3)(.1x-4)^(-2/3). Or, the efficiency of adding one more point of charge onto an entity at any given point). So, this makes the ideal entity have a charge time of about 50 posts. People can go over or under if they want, but lose out on efficiency. This is all to prevent the arms race of "get bigger sticks" that I hear happened in Tv T 1. Again, you can change any of the numbers around, the base idea is that the line of entity hp vs charge time is a cube root function in order to discourage the two extremes of swarms of tiny entities or massive 500 post entities that simply can't be stopped.
Yeah... one of the things I'm known for is making really complicated entities. The other thing I'm known for is RP, so lets do an IC introduction. Although, as everyone on the M Cforums knows, I don't do the majority of my RP via my own character, so lets keep this short. Ish.
Meta stuff stopping now
There is a soft green glow from past the valley. After a few minutes, I walk down into it. I'm a fairly standard Minecraftian with a brown traveling cloak and a small grey remote thing I'm fiddling with. It projects a screen in front of me with various readings about the states of my previous entities back at home base. They're exhausted, and half of them are asleep even though it late afternoon back where they are.
As I'm so engrossed in this, a creeper walks up to me and starts to hiss and I don't seem to notice. But right before it explodes, I hold up my hand and pulse a shockwave of force at it, sending it flying backwards to explode among a group of other creepers. Yes, I'm still AG. How dull, I know.
My First Companion: 1/80 (liable to be extended because this is a support-y role. I love my support roles.)
Staff Charge (if needed. Otherwise, rename this to My Second Companion): 1/100 (again, liable to be extended if there aren't enough allies to support)
Now then, the more important RP. Herobrine, you don't have to worry about anything below here if you don't want to. Oh man... I've been waiting about 3 months to post this... And I was pseudo voted to have the coolest character on the block last time, so lets see if I can do it again with a new guy. Now... how do you get spoilers to work... or these folder things... or anything really...
The Jeweled Story Book, page 1 Once upon a time... there was a lovely violin. It was made by a master crafter, yet, was flawed. And so, in disgust, the crafter threw the violin out into the dust. And the violin waited... alone in the cold darkness. Waiting... for someone to care about it... Poor violin...
The Jeweled Story Book, page 2 But then, someone came. The person saw the beauty in the violin and took it home. And then the person decorated it in gold and jewels. The violin now sat proudly on display, waiting for someone to play it. But no one ever did... and it kept waiting... Poor violin... Poor violin...
The Jeweled Story Book, page 3
More gems and gold were piled onto the violin. Until one day, the weight was too much. And the violin was crushed under the strain of the decorations. And no one had even bothered to play it and see... that it was missing half its strings, broken from the start. Poor violin... Poor violin... Poor violin...
@Engie in time traveling edit: It was only a link to Desmos. You know, the online graphing calculator. Now I've just put the equation itself. I feel so unprofessional. My grand entrance was ruined by technical problems. And the fact there doesn't seem to be a preview button.
Is there some way I can stop it from making things like M Cforums into links?
edited 22nd Jul '15 12:41:55 PM by Talist
Oh hey Talist.
Yeah... It'll take a week for your account to become old.
No external links for you until then.
edited 22nd Jul '15 12:06:02 PM by engie
Yeah, that while "New accounts cannot post external links" thing was really annoying, but I might have been able to tolerate it if it weren't for the limited amount of posts allowed.
Talist, use [.=Not Actually A Wiki Word=.].
Take out the periods between the brackets and equal signs, so it becomes this NotActuallyAWikiWord

((OOC, in case you couldn't tell: Planning on joining, just a warning while I work on an intro-post.
I take it the two charge limit means at once, not per-game?
Either way, I've never had an artifact of my own, so maybe I'll find an excuse to drop Leon in here, and give him a chance to play with item crafting.
Oh, and where in the timeline is this set?))

The man grabbed the pills from the cabinet and swallowed them. "Maybe this'll make those horrible flashbacks go away," he chuckled grimly to himself. He walked to the car, slammed on the gas, and went to work.
He sat down at his desk and worked for a few hours. Papers, papers, papers, and more papers.
After a while, sighing, he started to rise for break, and felt an inexplicable force on his body.
The man, who one moment before was sitting at his desk, looked up.
"What the hell?"
He did not recognize the mesa in the distance from anything in his life. A presence said to him "get ready for war."
The man stood there confused for a few minutes listening to the sounds of battle on the horizon, and then made the only choice he could in his situation.
"...Well, let's get started, then" he said, and walked in the direction he heard the fighting coming from, towards the mesa.

I hear something about "charging" to create artifacts. "Sounds nice. What's all that about, cap'n?"
So I get "charging" to make an artifact, but what do artifacts do?
edited 22nd Jul '15 6:34:27 PM by LordOfTheSword
What you want them to do, within the limits of the GM's wishes.
Where did I end up this time?
A wolf howl echoes through over the mesa and through the valley, followed by a message that is inherently wrong.
< <Leon/Blanche has entered > >
Why is there always an error over something that minor?
The message corrects itself only a moment later, as the howling grows louder.
< <mythicZoologist has entered > >
A single hooded figure appears without fanfare, while most of their form is concealed, the message that appeared makes it much easier to recognize me for those who can.
What's wrong this time?
While I wait for an answer, I craft a minecraftian snow golem. Harmless, but entertaining.

I think I understand how this goes. You do something while waiting for up to two other things. And about the plus-ones, I'm not sure I fully grasp those, but I guess I'll figure it out once (or if) it becomes part of the game.
I was getting ready for a fishing trip with my angler mecha when I get word of a disturbance. "time to go I guess."

A shadowy figure sits exhausted in a giant plume of smoke. The grass beneath him is charred from the spell. The peculiar shape of his hat makes him out to the be a mage, and as the smoke clears, a mage he sure appears to be. He then stands up and scans the horizon.
He starts to kick at the charred grass, which turns to ash and starts flowing away with the breeze as he smacks it with his foot.
He shakes his head and makes sure he has all his belongings and equipment on him. His enchanted revolvers each in their holster? Check. His bottomless bag that holds tokens and souvenirs of worlds he has long since left? Check. The bell, the one tied to the tip of his magician's hat, that still rings a gentle ring after all these years, a memento of his home? Check.
"That's everything, it seems."
Walking out of the burnt grass, he heads down deeper into the Valley, whereupon he notices a large swarm of creatures he's never seen the likes of before. Well, zombies and skeletons he's certainly seen, but not...not whatever those things were. He also notices lots of fighting going on down there. And of course, the one fighting are humans...because why not?
"Another world with humans. Can't I get some variety for Pete's sake?"
He heads down towards the fighting, drawing his guns and allowing his own mana to seep into them.
