As she passed trough the Blue, Lena could see a tranquilizer sniper rifle on his hands. But as soon as she was trough, she turned her back to him and leaped in the air to a distant edge. The gap had the height two stores, but she made it with little more than a light contusion on her ankle - what Runners call concertina effect, when your muscles feel a little sore because you seem to have flexed parts like your feet more than you should. But other than that, she was fine. And she was a Green, after all - if the adrenaline doesn't make it wear off, she can take care of her contusion.
The thing is she flinched and didn't skill rolled because of a tranquilizer shot that went just near her ear, hitting the building.
[Lena, you okay? That took some guts. There should be three windows right where you are. Break trough the middle one - it's a janitor office and storage room, there should be plenty of objects to drop and slow them down. Trough there I'll track you trough the vents and shafts, we should be able to lose the heat in there.]

I am merely an agent of 'random'. Because you know, the order is only inside our minds. Out here, there is only Chaos. As another bullet misses her back by some inches, Lena breaks the glass of the middle window with her legs and lands as best she can, maneuvering trough the storage items, and then slams the door open with her shoulders - a move that made flying sparks appear and move from the corner of her eyes to the center of it.
Taking her breath for a second, she scanned the hallways - they were, of course, empty - and a cleaning cart got her attention as it was a platform for her to get into the ventilation shafts located upwards. Once there, she knew it would be hard to be followed.

I am merely an agent of 'random'. Because you know, the order is only inside our minds. Out here, there is only Chaos.[HEY KEATS!? You using that thing? Tell me what you're seeing and your plan, leave the rest to your faithful Tracker.]
A sniper shot.
Keaton could see that the group of enemies heard it as well, and started splitting up - the shotgun one seemed to wander around the roof looking for the suspect. The rifle guy just stood his ground, and the taser one was going to go running on top of the Centipede's head, probably to check on the fugitive.
Keats could see in the vicinity some tracks for some kind of machine that couldn't be immediately be seen, and a cluster of AC cooling twoers that were perfect for hiding, provided with some distraction.
Another shot was heard.
Gabriel reached the ground floor and heard a couple shots on the roofs. Sirens could be already heard on their way.
[Hey man, Lena's had some trouble up there, think you can move to the building on the left of this one and create a window for her to flee?]
Meanwhile, Lena was crawling trough the vents. Her instincts told her that she needed to keep on going up and right, but a runner sign could be seen painted with graffiti and stencil on the metal surface of a path leading to the left, on a cross between the passages.

I am merely an agent of 'random'. Because you know, the order is only inside our minds. Out here, there is only Chaos.Lena maneuvers trough the tridimensional metal mazes of the insides of the vents. Eventually she gets to where she can see an office trough an opening on its down side. Some features could be seen, table here and there...and a smoke grenade coming into the room.
"She's in the vents, shot'em up!!" She heard, as the metal walls she tought were protecting her started poping up with clanking noises and bullet marks.
The rubber bullets weren't enough to go trough the metal just yet - but the noise wasn't pleasing and she'd probably will not want to stick around for long. A place where her hand was giving support to her weight was hit, and she instinctively pulled it to her side, probably more scared than hurt.
Up ahead, the vents turn, becoming very vertical. There's a path down and one up, but there's no way to wallclimb to that passageway. Maybe if she tried something else...

I am merely an agent of 'random'. Because you know, the order is only inside our minds. Out here, there is only Chaos.Lena turns her back to that exit, craling towards the way she came in pulling her arms and body back several times as the Blues keep shooting the vents into a chaotic symphony.
As the view to the office was obstructed, a louder shot, a shotgun firing rubber bullets opens an considdrable hole the size of a tennis ball on the "floor" in wich she was standing seconds ago.
On the ground floor, Gabe leaves by the entrance and seems cop cars, and men with cop uniforms heading to the building the confusionais was going on - but he'd never recognize the men and women wearing them, shouting around in anger. He knew better. These were P Ks, the mercs from the private company who were replacing The City Protection Force - CPF.

I am merely an agent of 'random'. Because you know, the order is only inside our minds. Out here, there is only Chaos.Lena manages to create enough traction between the walls that she could support her weight - what wasn't a great task, since she was considerable light weighted.
The space in the vents was limited even to her but somehow she was getting up, flexing her legs and pressing them against one metal wall, then putting her waist and back to the other, arms stretched in the sides of her body, hands below her to assure she was safe enough.
"Shit, lost her!" A voice from the office says.
She gradually went up step by step, sometimes hopping a little and fixating herself to both walls, pulling in the air when climbing, and breathing it out as she supported herself on the walls again, eventually contorting herself to change her position to a more comfortable one now and then.
After what seemed like a minute, the edge she was looking up to was actually at a sitting distance.

I am merely an agent of 'random'. Because you know, the order is only inside our minds. Out here, there is only Chaos.[Okay kiddo, two ways. There's the not subtle one, but fastest - getting to the roof by climbing all the way up. And according to the plans, this elevator pit has some connection to the sewers - which is subtle, but may take longer to shake these guys off.]
The vent opened into a dark, square-shaped, cold and glinting elevator shaft ahead. There was a horizontal pipe you could use to get to a stair on the opposite wall, where a ladder goes up some two stairs that go up to some other lighted passage, or down into a catwalk below, with fans near it.
Looking downwards, you could only see darkness.
One store below, to your left, a elevator is stopped -must likely the Blues shut it down, but you could jump on it, the passage on its roof can be used to get back into the hallways and offices level.
On the opposite side to the elevator, another pipe, this one vertical, going up some distance but staying lower than the stair, and going down in the distance, so long you can't see its end.

The pipe ended in a point just near the final steps of the ladder. You could try to jump to the ladder or go directly for the edge on wich it was fixed, aming more to the right. From where you are, you see a passagem between fans that seems to take to another ventilation ducts.
A PK guard was just doing his job and minding his business, vaulting some pipes as he felt something get hold of his neck. The world spinned before his feet and hands as he landed face first on the floor, feeling blood on his mouth, as his helmet protected most of his head from the impact. The aggressor however approached, and for once it was useful to Keat to know PK armor as a Runner.
Centipede kneeled to the fallen cop and heard an "Keats? What the fu—" before giving a good punch to an unprotected side of the neck. This guy wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. He got the taser from him and took 2 additional shots/charge, but he knew how long it took to reload it , how hard it was, and probably wished he didn't need to at least recharge it. The body of the guard on the floor seemed to get some easy noticing in the white blocks of the roof.
I am merely an agent of 'random'. Because you know, the order is only inside our minds. Out here, there is only Chaos. Her right hand slips one step and hit the other, making the ladder vibrate and she had an uncomfortable pulsing sensation on her palm, nothing that she can't deal with, and climbed to the top, as she realized as she focused on some light hand aching that her ankle was feeling considerably better.
She proceeded to the passageway where the hallway she entered was really narrow, barely being wide for her to run on it. She then jumps and lands with one feet into a higher section when the ventilation unit seemed to present a step as high as herself. As she got to her feet, she felt the cold increasing, and some yellowish light on the floor and she got to the source of it. Going trough an even narrower section between a wall and a vertical vent that required her to squeeze trough, an path opened - a big section of the ventilation space between the inside and outside walls. There was a pit with no bottom visible ahead, and a vent went along the left wall, and beyond a great jungle of pipes could be seen ahead - both vertical and horizontal, a environment a little more familiar to the Runner. She was to figure out the path up, along and trough many of them without falling to her death to finally get to what seemed the exit - three vertical pipes side by side that could be scaled to get trough a vent in a two stores height from where Lena was currently at.

Squeeze. No problem. She is small. And then, she is out.
{...}
She breathes in, climbing up the vent.
Then she ran, and ran, sliding under a pipe, up and over another set. A short jump to the next vent, and a rolling start. Another sprint, and then the big gap...!
Run across the wall, simple short movement, before moving on up a set of pipes! Jump, and climb. Repeat. Repeat. And then.
Three pipes, and a vent. She smiles. And she enters.
всегда веренSorry Flynn." Muttered Keats, peeking around the vent to see where the sniper was or the shotgunners. He checked his taser, making sure he had three shots, he slowly made his way, trying to stay out of sight using the vents as he approached the sniper.

Good to be back[OK Lena, you're doin' great, nos you just should have to climb twice inside the vents to get to the roof. From there, another zipline should take you to safety. Try not to lose too much height on it, tough.]
The inside of the vents presented just as Drake described it.
Keat approached the sniper from between the vents as he called out to Flynn. But as he got to where the guy could take his target down, he actually started pacing in the direction of his partner, getting past the Centipede with a large AC unit in between them.
