Instantly interested. Almost entirely on the composer alone.
But seriously, I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out.

Here's a preview of the platforming segments.
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit! It's been quite a while since i've updated last, but here's the main blog for the game.
Additionally, here is a <very early> preview of the fight system. Those party members with Ajna are Zebei <shy around new things after leaving his tribe despite his flair with archery>, Razmi <reclusive shaman and her tiger spirit, Bom> and Tungar <ex-military, he is now a kindly combat instructor with his urumi>.
Also, could a mod pretty-please rename the thread's title to say it's an action-RPG rather than a Metroidvania? Recent updates have made it clear it steers closer to the former than the latter.

The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Well then. It's been a while.
There's a new trailer up for the game, as well as a prototype demo build up on the game's website. The gameplay seems similar to RPGs like Valkyrie Profile and action games like Dust: An Elysian Tail, crossed with the combo mechanics of fighters like Lab Zero's previous work, Skullgirls. Check it out if you're interested.
EDIT: Here's a link to the crowdfunding page, by the way.

Changed the thread title per request.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanCan the game please be about Razmi, instead?
i've played the prototype.
my impressions cp'd from a post i made on reddit:
I never played Skullgirls but knew of the reputation behind the devs and their quality sprites/animation. It's a good game from a visual standpoint certainly, the animations are vivid and expressive, the backgrounds look awesome, the enemies aren't bad, etc. the whole indian theme they have going on is also not something done all that often, it shows up with some monsters and locations but not with the main characters/setting, so they get some props for that.
if you hadn't told me it was inspired by valkyrie profile i would have easily been able to guess because the gameplay is almost identical, with the characters being mapped to specific buttons and you being able to perform different types of attacks (in vp i believe it depended on your weapon and the combos you set to it, here it's "press up/down/left/right to do a variation" which is alright). It's cool.
they seem to have a few decent ideas, like the axe being used as a tool to aid platforming while also being a weapon in combat.
the boss at the end was the highlight of the demo. i died twice. you really have to fill up the combo member so you can have the shamaness be able to heal at any time because he does so much damage and summons enemies, even including two miniboss enemies at the end. if any of your party members dies, especially early on in the fight, you're probably screwed. It wasn't a bad challenge though, I hope most of the fights in the game are like that.
i like hiroki kikuta's score for seiken densetsu 3, but i didn't find any of the music in the game to be all that memorable. maybe the full soundtrack will end up being so.
it seems like a solid "derivative" game, you know, your guacamelees, darksiders, etc which are created by devs who are fans of other games stitching them together, where the game ends up not being terribly original but fun all the same.
i'd toss them some money but i'm currently broke. i hope it gets funded. one thing i will really give them props for is giving potential backers a prototype to see if they will like the end product or not, i wish more indiegogos/kickstarters would do that.
This game looks cool. I hope it's on the Xbox Consoles.
You can't get it wrong if it's the truth! It will be in the xbone if the games get funded *hint hint*
Dressed to Kill.Anyone know how to get the Prototype to work? Even after I downloaded and installed DirectX it still wouldn't work.
Have you unpacked everything from the ZIP file?
I extracted everything if that's what you mean.
do you get some kind of error?
i didn't have any problems getting it to work.
also i didn't actually realize the game had a 1.5 million goal. it's only 13% funded and they only have 36 days left. i'm not really sure if they are going to make it.

Nine days left... man, I hope this pulls through. I'm a huge fan of Skullgirls (as you may guess from my avatar at time of writing), and Indivisible shot up to my Most Anticipated list BEFORE I got to play the incredible prototype.
Time to start evangelizing, my mental health is alarmingly linked to this campaign's success.

Had a tab opened for a while but just played this last night.
Its really fun. I'm terrible at it.
It contains a giant bird.
So obviously, I threw some money at it.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersSo it's reached 760K. That's about half the goal, with 6 days to do.
...man, I really want this to happen. I really do.
I have a message from another time...i would like that but honestly i just don't see it happening at this point. if they had more time, i could see it reaching it in maybe like 2 more weeks, but at the rate it's going now it's just not gonna happen.
If they reach 900k, they can get a period extension, 20 days more to run the campaign.
Dressed to Kill.oh? i actually didn't know about that. Reaching 900k is a bit more likely, even if just barely, and the remaining 20 days would be enough.
Please please please.
I have a message from another time...Well if they do get that extension i'll be putting some money down. Life just wouldn't let me do it till now.
Edit: And the extension goal has been reached....i'll be putting the money down once i have it.

Sweet mother of corn, that is a huge bird!
I think a bird that big would break someone's arm in real life!
EDIT: Holy crap! They got that 20 day extension! But you guys probably knew that already thanks to Twilight Falchion...
Still! That $1,500,000 should be in the bag soon enough.

Yeah, we need another 600K in the next 24 days.
I have a message from another time...
Indivisble is a Metroidvania that will be developed by Lab Zero Games, creator of the popular indie fighting game, Skullgirls.
"Indivisible is a new action/RPG IP, starring Ajna (AHZH-na), a girl who sets out on a globe-spanning journey to discover the truth behind her mysterious powers. On her quest she’ll be joined by a variety of unique heroes and gain new abilities to traverse the environments and defeat the enemies they’ll encounter along the way."
"Indivisible is inspired by classics like Valkyrie Profile and Super Metroid, but with the unique characters and gameplay depth Lab Zero is known for. In addition to a fresh spin on action/RPG gameplay, Indivisible features a deep storyline inspired by southeast Asian and other world mythologies, Lab Zero’s trademark feature-quality 2D hand-drawn animation, and a lush soundtrack from legendary Secret of Mana composer Hiroki Kikuta."
There will be an Indiegogo campaign for this title, which is to follow very soon. Considering L0's pedigree, however, i'm sure a lot of people <myself included> are gonna try their best to see the game come to life.
