"Um...well..." Amos thinks seriously about the question. "I don't know. Jiko has the generators taken care of suppose...Oh! I forgot I was supposed to be working on a replacement to his synthetic for him. Do you want to...help me?"
Old habits die hard, especially when no one else lets them die either.Shark shrugs and opens the door. "Sure!" he says eagerly, "I'm not a big tech guy but I'll do what I can."
My various fanfics."Well, as long as you just grab what I ask you to, it will be fine. I think I might need an extra hand for a while..." he says as he gets up and heads to his room/workshop.
Greg, feeling hungry, wanders off towards the kitchen. He sees Laith as he's on his way. "Oh, hey, Lai. How are you?" he asks, noticing the crystals an looking at them curiously.

My various fanfics. After some tinkering, Jiko claps his hands together and crosses his fingers as he powers up the main generator. It powers up for a few moments and everything seems all right at first, until an arc flash catches him in the chest and launches him backwards.
For the first time in a long while, he's happy the Grid works like it should and channels the electricity back to the machine as he reaches for the kill switch, taking the ship back to backup power. The lights flicker during this time.
(Geez...had no idea this stayed dormant for so long. Well, here goes something...)
Greg is in the training room, practicing with his electromagnetic powers. He pulls up a sheet of metal from one of the walks and makes a crushing motion with his hands, slowly making it bend. "I'm getting good at this."
Meanwhile, Amos is busy in his room/workshop, working on the synthetic replacement for Jiko. He's quietly muttering to himself as he works.
Old habits die hard, especially when no one else lets them die either.SNICKLIN, an extremely handsome and charismatic space lord, wanders the ship, looking lost and calling out to no one in particular.
Hello?

"Hey, Heinrich." Greg greets and then activates his commbadge. "Give me a minute." he says before speaking into it. "Farmboy, are you around? There was a power surge some time ago. I was curious if you could see if the computer systems were affected."
Amos jumps at the sudden shoulder rub, not expecting it. "W-Whoa!" he says, then relaxes as he sees Shark. "O-Oh, hey...sorry. You startled me..."
Old habits die hard, especially when no one else lets them die either.Shark smiles and gives Amos's shoulders a little squeeze. "I've been here the whole time, silly. You must have been too wrapped up to notice." He peered over Amos's shoulder to see what he was working on. "How's it coming?"
My various fanfics."We have an engineer, if that would help." he answers back into the badge, then looks at Snicklin. "Snicklin, got it. I'm Greg, nice to meet you." he says, offering a handshake. "And well, as far as help...you good with computers?"
Amos scratches his head, looking sheepish. "I sort of get into a trance when I'm working sometimes, I suppose...sorry." he answers. "Either way, I think I'm just about finished..." he says holding up the substance he's created to use with the synthetic. "...I just need to make sure it's not hazardous to humans or anything."
Old habits die hard, especially when no one else lets them die either."I mean, I'm basically a human." Shark says with a shrug as he pokes the substance. "Maybe I can help." Then his arms slide down around Amos's waist. "And when that's done..."

Jiko watches for a moment as Amos is taken away.
"Hm. Fair enough," he says, and starts replacing the circuit board. Sparks jump at him but seem to simply absorb into his skin as he works.
