Didn't see a conversation for this going yet so I thought I'd start one since the show premiered tonight.Quite frankly, I think this show is pretty damn great. I was late to Person of Interest and just barely got on at the end of Season 3 and so when I heard of another Conspiracy-esc type show on the way I definitely made it a priority to catch it from the get go. I could go on for a while about why I like this show but I'm curious to hear if anyone else has seen the premiere and what their thoughts on it are.

Was just about to come create this thread! I saw this about a month ago and I'm really enjoying it so far. As of now I am wondering just how many things we see are true and what's not, particularly with Mr. Robot, given that Elliot has already established he "reprogrammed" himself with whole E-Corp/Evil Corp thing (Word of God is that their logo is basically Enron's and I'm assuming the company as a whole is meant to be an Enron expy) and it being mentioned that he's fantasized about men in black suits following him before.

It can be argued that Elliot is an Unreliable Narrator, given his drug usage and social anxiety. And to be fair,he did end up getting picked up by black suits towards the end so his paranoia may be slightly justified.

This is pretty impressive. I'm glad this show is getting another season.Just makes me more curious as to how the rest of this first season is going to play out.

Having rewatched the 1st episode, I'm certain that Mr. Robot doesn't exist and we're dealing with a Tyler Durden here. Mr. Robot himself is never looked at and nobody else ever interacts with him. The one time something brought up about him as "their boss", the thing he immediately got was to cut his bullshit.

I had been playing with the theory already, but thing that really makes me feel it most of all is when Eliot first arrives at F-Society, when the person opens the door, the only person he looks at is Eliot before opening the door.

In the second episode I can definitely see now that Elliot is probably the only one that can see the men in black suits. But I'm not entirely sure yet.Elliot is really getting into a tougher spot now. He's basically given An Offer You Can't Refuse by E.Corp in a sense. And then he's not even sure about joining F Society, given what their plan is I don't entirely blame him.

So, pretty cool show. I like it so far.

Something's not quite right with Christian Slater's character though.

I bet he's a former executive of E. Corp that got deposed and now wants revenge.

It definitely sounds like his character has an axe to grind with something. There must have been some fallout that caused his current status.

f he even exists. Right now am leaning towards him being a hallucination.

A lot of things still leaning to hallucination and Elliot is Mr. Robot. Two other things of note in this episode, when Mr. Robot was talking to everybody, he was positioned right in front of Elliot. The positioning of things make it appear they're looking at him when they're actually looking at Elliot and I imagine he's the one who was really talking.

Second, during the scene at the end, I think that was a suicide attempt. Aside from Elliot's description of things, wanting to escape, and so forth, there's also the fact that Mr. Robot touched him and Elliot didn't freak out. Elliot has consistently shown that he doesn't like being touched unless he consents to it. Every time he's touched anyone he's initiated it. That was the first time he hasn't and it was an extended one before "the push".

I can't help but be cynical whenever they do a show or movie with these kinds of themes of wealth inequality since it rings very hollow coming from the people who make it

So uh,Tyrell, well that was interesting. I wasn't expecting that at all. This show continues to surprise me.

So, is there anyone who would like to discuss the plot so far? I have some thoughts to share.

All right; so, based on the latest episode, I feel that "Elliot" may not be real. I am aware of the speculation that Mr. Robot is a figment of his imagination or Elliot is his, but what about a stolen identity?

This week's episode really made me wonder. I thought that Mr. Robot wasn't real and it was a Fight Club situation, but in the coffee shop he bumped into people and they reacted. This show keeps messing with my head...

Unless of course that was just Elliot doing that and more him interpreting it that way as Mr. Robot did.

Also, to refer another show, Will Graham has similar situations in regards to the way he perceives and is perceived by other people to put it mildly.

And on this week's episode of Mr. Robot, Tyrell embraces his inner American Psycho.

If he does get away with this, my suspicion of disbelief is blown. He has means, motive, and I'm certain there is enough evidence up there given that it was an impulse killing and the whole struggle and such. I just don't know if they'd be able to capture the opportunity factor based on fact the two were gone at the same time, but regardless, he should not be able to get away with this.

Just finished Episode 3. Elliot and Will Graham would be buddies, besides Elliot not taking good care of Flipper.

Tyrell...this guy is a riot. And his wife. Adorable little Scandinavian sociopaths.

Weakest part for me so far is Ollie and Angela's stuff.

I liked what had to be a musical reference to Fight Club at the end.
