Sounds p neat!
- Name: Barnes T. Miguel
- Age: 26
- Appearance: Handsome person, courtesy of J. Photography
◊
- Personality: Boisterous, and loud. Not afraid to scuffle or talk down an opponent whether in a pub or in a debate. Calm when on the job, with a few moment of firey personality surfacing up. Good with kids and animals.
- Skills: A degree in anthropology and history, worked in the Smithsonian museum for a time and quite familiar with bits of folklore (and handling dummies and artifacts). Also a brown belt in Brazilian Jujitsu, having competed in the Interstate level during his college years (and still is in college, pursuing a P.h.D.)
- Backstory:
A child of mixed-marriage (a rarity in itself) between a New Yorker and a Rio De Janeiro citizen, Barnes grew up visiting library and staying at home listening to his Opa (Grandad) tell stories and folklores from their homeland of Brazil. This planted a seed of interest in young Barnes, who then dreamed of becoming like his childhood heroes such as Indiana Jones or other famous explorers. As he grew up, the interest grew and grew, exhibited by him excelling at History and Cultural studies (and rather weak performance in other subjects, sadly. Except maybe physical education, of which his Opa taught him the basics of Brazilian Jujitsu).
However, the rise in the appearance of ghosts also appealed to young Barnes as he studied and finished his Masters degree. What made them appear? How do they work? And what is their story? It is simple curiosity that made him interested in joining the Ghostbusters, as well as, well. The chance to have thesis materials may not hurt either, and so would the extra income.

- Name: Marcus Layne
- Age: 25
- Appearance: Marcus looks like your usual American Football Jock, blond hair, blue eyes and blue letterman jacket, white t-shirt, jeans and sneaker shoes. The difference is in the fact he's visibly a very excitable, happy young guy. At six foot two, he's very tall, too, and has a muscular build. Though some times it seems like he is affected by something, seeming visibly worried or downcast, though these appearances don't last very long typically.
- Personality: Marcus is upbeat, good-natured, and the type that insists there is nothing that cannot be accomplished by remaining hopeful and in good spirits. He decided to become a Ghost Buster because he always enjoyed paranormal shows growing up, and saw they needed some help. He does, though, curiously dislike talking about what in all happened in his past. Even still, he's a person working to try to subvert the perception of guys like him. He's still rather dull, but mostly its either played up or somewhat understandable.
- Skills: Marcus is deceptively good with gear, and knows the names, natures, and capabilities of a large number of ghosts and other creatures. His physical capabilities might also come in handy.
- Backstory: A child of a rich man and his chaffeur, Marcus' past is one he doesn't like discussing, for good reason. When he was small, he and another young boy were on vacation in Korea and decided to go visit what the locals referred to as a “haunted cave”. Inside there, Marcus and his friend saw something, which he described as “a black winged angel...demon...thing” who offered them a wish in exchange for its freedom– Marcus wished for successes in the future, and his friend wished for something Marcus doesn't remember. After this happened, they passed out from odd fumes in the room. Marcus doesn't know if the whole thing was real or a fever dream caused by the cave, and part of the reason he's joining is to find out what, exactly, he wished to if it was real. As for his father, despite the nature of Marcus' parentage, his father and mother get along very well and his father cares for him a lot, though worrying about his "ghost hunting hobby", though he did also note; "at least you aren't becoming a lush".

The following is an excerpt from the classifieds of the New York Times, dated June 23rd, 1990.
Are you troubled by strange noises in the middle of the night? Do you experience feelings of dread in your basement or attic? Have you or your family ever seen a spook, spectre or ghost? Do you want to do something about it other than just wait for the professionals to clean it up?
If the answer is "yes," then don't wait another minute. The Ghostbusters are hiring! You've seen our work with the Manhattan Musem of Art, or 55 Central Park West, or even many of the daily paranormal activities New York has to face. Now, we want you! That's right, you! We are ready to open up a new ghostbusting team, and you can be a part of it!
How do I apply for this incredible opportunity to be a part of a New York main stay and what TIME Magazine called 'the biggest supernatural success story of the century?' All you have to send us your resume, answering a few key questions:
Once you've got all that written down, send it to 8-14 North Moore Street and Varick Street, Manhattan. Ghostbusters- we're ready for you to believe in others with us!
