I'm sure it isn't.
What's weird about TTG!Robin is that he inhabits a Twilight Zone between Straw Loser and Crazy Awesome. (Come to think of it, all the characters are depicted as losers and dorks at one time or another, except possibly Raven.)
No shit, Sherlock. It's just like the reason for all the Lady Legasus episodes. George Perez definitely has a leg fetish, which is why Raven out of all the Titans is always shown with her legs out in those books. The same could be said for Wonder Woman during the Wolfman Perez run of her comics. And don't get me started with Scarlet Witch during Busiek's run of the Avengers.
Also, for some reason I am in the mood to write a Teen Titans Go fanfic that is merely an excuse to basically do those Anchorman Gang War Fights.
San Diego Comic Con is coming up, and Warner Bros has released some variant tote bags for all their live action and animated shows. Teen Titans Go gets a pretty funny one
(appears on page 12) that would appeal to either side of the show's fence.
Exactly!

Actually, that'd be the opposite. The 87 Turtles are far closer to the TTG cast in both the design of the show and characterization. Albeit, the 87 Turtles aren't jerks, but they aren't serious either.
The 2003 Turtles are far more serious, even Mikey, who outright calls the 87 Turtles out on their "goofy" nature when it became a dire situation. He even had enough of it. And he's the party turtle. In every Cartoon as is.
Keep in mind every version of the Turtles are closer to vigilantes than more proper heroes. Similar to superheroes. That's due to the whole ninja factor and them being unable to be seen as part of the normal "people won't understand" factor, although the racism is more noted in 2003 and 2012 versions. It still is kind of there in the 87 version, but far more subtle.
Shadow? They brought in the voices of Fall Out Boy, Cello Green, and some group from the 80's named B.E.R as they fight in an 80's inspired landscape. In short, they gave the fans what they wanted.
"We be we baby!"@Irene . . . The fuck you talking about?
When I said the 4Kids parodies, I meant 4Kids interpretation of the 87 Turtles which is overly cartoonish, ridiculous and lack any sense of seriousness. They hardly resemble the original Turtles. Phelous went into great detail in his Turtles Forever review on how different the Turtles are in the movie compare to the 87 he grew up with and have knowledge. He made legitimate points on how much of a shallow parody they are; just like the Go Titans.
Now the actual 87 Turltes is similar to the 2003 Titans in that they are both kiddify, cartoony takes on their more serious comic counter. Sure the 87 Turtles act like cartoon characters in their show but when shit gets serious they get serious themselves. Just like, you guess it, the 2003 Titans who are guilty of joking around a lot but at least can take a dire situation seriously.
Now if we are talking about the 2003 Turtles, they are more like Young Justice in that both are more serious takes to their predecessors and seeks to be more accurate to the comics. Both contains more intecrate writing which have long arching story arcs. And they both have a HUGE universe. I compared the Turtles Forever to the TTG episode Lets Get Serious in being a huge Take That. Only difference being LGS is deserved regsrding TTG writing; while TF is uncalled for, mean spirited and completely wrong as it insults the fans of 87 saying their show is shit and have no redeeming quality.
Now the 2012 Turtles is comparable to the Movie Titans. Both are different takes on their works which pay tributes ro their previous incarnations while at the same time do new takes on classic story. So expect a movie in the future where these Titans team up with the 2003 Titans in a similar manner as the 2012 Turtles episdoe Transdimensional Turtles which is praise by many 87 Turtles fans for being a better version of Turtles Forvever for its faithfulness.
TL;DR The 87 Turtles portrayal in "Transdimensional Turtles" is the more accurate portrayal than their Parodies in Turtles Forever. They were silly but they are not borderline stupid and incompetent in battle.
The ones in Turtles Forever aren't even parodies. They're not really all that inaccurate since those Turtles aren't very serious at all, due to the nature of their universe not being serious. It's played up a bit more than normal, but the movie even makes it clear that that's just how they prefer to act, but damn will get serious when necessary, and they do. They're not serious business like everybody but Mikey is in 2003 version, nor are they as serious as many of the characters in 2012(Mikey aside, cause that's the point of him, to be the comedy act, but also to have a more relaxed view of life).
That's where the comparison came from.
That said, you need to chill if you need to swear at another user for no good reason(there's never a good reason, actually) and if you still have this pointless need to while about the show. Again.
Shadow?
Exactly. In fairness, they can be amusing sometimes and they do keep some aspects of their personalities from the 2003 show. Doesn't excuse their jerkass actions tho. They even had their own villains wiki for crying out loud!
Like I said, the show is meh. Due to what happened to the last thread, I will leave my opinion at that.

Although to be fair, they weren't trying to copy the old show, or continue it. It's entirely its own thing using the same characters. The played-up traits are there solely for comedy.
I agree they are overly flawed characters and could be more interesting, but only cause that's simply how they're written. It has nothing to do with other versions of the same character. It just feels more like bad writing than anything else, not a "bad adaption" that people paint it as(when it's not an adaption of the old show. Or the comics either, really. It's just the characters in similar settings, being as noted, more of a reboot than anything else).
Shadow?

One of the few things done right by Beast Boy from Go is that he isn't always made out to be a Straw Loser as often.
I do agree that the original had emotional maturity, but on the whole it was still lighter fare in that department compared to other DC action shows. Whether or not the changes to the Go! incarnations are unfavorable, you can't compare the two shows themselves so directly because of the shift to straight comedy.
Back on topic, is Robin having tight buns a reference to Nightwing often being depicted as such?
