...shit, that was my third subsequent post in a row.
Eh well, have a 1v4.

I watched the original announcement trailer for this game and liked it, but haven't really followed up on it until now. Been watching various trailers on this and considering maybe trying the open beta when and if I have the beta. Currently interested in the Warden, Lawbringer, and Kensei, but I don't really have a lot of knowledge about the mechanics and the like. I hear there might be some server issues due to lack of dedicated servers, but I'm not sure how much that will be a problem.
Anyway, another reason for me posting here was because when I was watching the trailer for the Berserker
, I noticed a very familiar statue at 00.15
◊, since I'm from Denmark. It's the statue of Holger Danske, aka Ogier the Dane, apparently one of Charlemagne's companions and a famous statue here in Denmark. The comparison image was found in this thread
, but I noticed it myself when I watched it. I love how they included that statue.
If the game made it to Clueless Gamer then I guess this is being considered a serious AAA title.
I do have to wonder what the single player experience will be like though. We've seen very little of it, with no Samurai missions as far as I can tell. This definitely is a multiplayer game first, but I'm hoping the single player isn't too shallow. At least it's more than Overwatch gave at launch.
From playing the betas, it seems like you shouldn't play too many different heroes if you want to progress quickly. Stick to two at the most or else you'll just constantly be playing with low level gear. Gear drops only seem to get better as your reputation goes up.
So it is a bit of a meta-subject, but has anyone been keeping track of Ubisoft's business practices?
I'm thinking of whether I wanna buy it, and right now the deciding aspects are:
- Quality of the campaign
- Additionally, if the campaign can be played in coop
- Whether Ubisoft is too scummy
The gameplay is pretty cool, and it encourages/supports dedication to both factions and classes without shutting down options. So all in all, I am partial to the game ATM.

Clueless Gamer is always hilarious.
I seriously want Conan to take on Death Stranding when it comes out.

Splitscreen co-op was taken out, I think. They had fun advertising the game was perfect for their Valentine's Day release off of having splitscreen as a feature initially. The official website's campaign section still claims two player co-op exists for it, but I've honestly never heard about online co-op existing for it in other places, so I'd think you'll have to wait for release to get a certain answer.
I'm personally rather liking Ubisoft these days. I heard about The Division's mess, but it sounds at least like they at least fixed things up decently (I really wish Massive would get to go back to their RTS though
). Rainbow Six: Siege is a pretty great game that they're supporting constantly. It probably helps I was never really into the company when its reputation was at its worst.
The Division was/is like a worse Destiny. The Division launched with the same general premise (huge area, open-world shooter, missions and bounties you take from a central location) but it was really buggy on release (unlike Destiny) had a lot of problems with hackers and whatnot (unlike Destiny) and was basically just...not as good.

Damn, when I do great plays I don't record my gameplay. The moment I record something, my skill level plummets. Curse you shadowplay!
One time I survived a 1v3 long enough for a teammate to join me by blinding the three enemy players, and in turn I killed two of them. Truly a divine intervention, that was.
