I wonder if the Fully Charged writers were told about Mega Man 11 in advance. According to this interview Capcom basically gave them free reign over the project.

EDIT: You think it'll ever come out on DVD?

Cartoon Network put out a trailer for episode 10 today, while the Fully Charged YouTube channel is still stuck on episode 6. (I hope they update soon; I like the pixel art before each clip, and the clips they use are different than CN's promos!)

The good news is with today's batch of eps, we're caught up with the on-demand stuff, so completely new episodes are forthcoming!

EDIT: I think this background character's arm is broken.

Also, Dr. Light's square, stylized fingers are creepy.

I'm honestly wondering what Namagem will look like at this stage.

I really hope that he's not a simple recolor of Mega Man. Granted, I expect that to be the case.

Clearly he'll be a recolor with sunglasses and a shield :p

Even Proto Man's sprites were more unique than Mega Man's, though. :P

Which reminds me of how Bass had distinct sprites in the 16-bit and 32-bit games, but then, by the time he was implemented in the 8-Bit games, he...

Became a lazy sprite edit of Mega Man! Which kind of disappointed me, since that feels kind of a disservice to Bass's character, even though Bass hasn't ever managed to get beyond "mini-boss".

Episode 7's trailer is up, with pixel art of Ice Man.

And so is episode 8's trailer! Going just by these previews I think Blasto Woman is the only RM Mega Man hasn't replicated in their debut episode yet.

My sister dreaded what would happen if Mega Man got Blasto Woman's weapon due to the inevitable personality changes. She was relieved when I told her Mega Man didn't get her weapon, because she hates the personality changes.

Anyone get the feeling this is what the mega man cartoon would be like if it was made in the 80s, back when the getalong gang was popular and stuff? because thats what this feels like, like it has no idea what it wants to be.

[up][up] Not all of them change his personality—Hypno Woman, Drill Man, and Ice Man didn't, though Drill Man messed with his body and left him spinning.

Drill Man's ep had Mega Mini say Aki seemed too easily embarrassed, and even Aki wondered what the hell was wrong with him. So I think there was a change, it was just poorly conveyed.

As for not adopting personality traits of Ice Man, well, he's gonna get a personality change in the second Ice Man episode.

It seems like this side effect happens only when the writers want to use it to make a point. :P

New Side Effects As Plot Demands? Maybe the episode where he tries to rehabilitate Drill Man with Hypno Woman's powers is cause of her copied personality too.

I hope we get to see other RMs, like Snake Man or Shadow Man or something.

Given CGI budgets, I'd expect Elec Man, Guts Man, Chemical Man, and Wood Man to be the last unique Robot Masters to show up/recur this season.

The previews skipped episodes 9 and 10 and went straight to 11!

EDIT: Ah, he tucks his head into his body like the robot in the preview art.

Chemistry Man was fired because he couldn't keep the students attention?

What is this, Mega Man 9?

I think the implication was that he was so boring everyone fell asleep, like Professor Binns in Harry Potter.

So far I can't tell if the Crapsaccharine World feel is intentional or not. Episode 12 has Fire Man and Wave Man team up to evaporate the city's water supply, but I can't figure out why given Wave Man's first appearance, unless it's something like 'no more water = no more cleaning.' If episode 17 does feature Chemistry Man, where his plan is to turn all the city's metal into rubber, I don't know why that would be his plan either.

Drill Man's situation is really fridge-logic-y too. He would play any instrument he could get his hands on, when he still had hands. His father never approved of his recreational choices, forcing Drill Man into the family mining business, that being mining. Drill Man agreed to a temporary arrangement, but the family business was bought by a company and Drill Man was forced to get his hands replaced by drills, ruining his dream of playing music.

I think about half the R Ms being sympathetic means they'll have a Heel–Face Turn or two. Hypno Woman already seems to be having one if the date episode is any indication.

On the plus side I like the Sgt. Night pixel art.

Another trailer for the same episode is out. His lesson plan really is that boring.

EDIT: Just an hour and a half until the new episodes!

The Drill Man one bothers me even more since his target wasn't responsible for his problem, his father was. If this was meant to be temporary, why wasn't there a way to ensure a Drill Man could get back use of his hands and it's not like money was an issue after he sold the company.

On to today's episodes: Am I supposed to feel bad for Wily here? Kid was acting like a tool. And Aki aside, pretty sure there are other robots that would be offended that a human would be allowed to enter what was supposed to be a robot only competition just to test an invention. One that still needs work seeing how poorly it worked. Mr. NRT brings up something interesting, the Robot Master don't necessarily need to be -blank- Man/-blank- Woman though I guess I'm not suppose to think hard about it. (looks at Fire Man)

Also the solution here makes no sense. Yes, he's slow. He dangerous because of Offscreen Teleportation and quickly setting up turrets easily destroyed turrets. Unless this takes place before the first episode Aki had plenty of options other than Wily's bunny button, or he could have walked up to him and Mega-Uppercut him like he basically did anyways. Honestly, my favorite part of this episode was Mega and bubble kid.

Okay second episode, in which Suna continues to cement her position as annoying and pointless. The argument in regards to Rush had no real point and Suna's plan made little sense. The water was already gone, all it did was put herself in danger. What's more, wasn't Mini previously established to be able to cut Aki off? If Aki was in the red, why not just revert him? Also, not an engineer, but since when are release valves in the tube. While I can get him being offended by Fire Face, I'm pretty sure Wave Man called him Fire Meister first and which is a good thing. Wave Man liking his nickname was nice, along with him referring to Fire Man as leader. Too bad they had to ruin it with the "Turn Villains against each other" trope (genuinely don't remember the name for it). Bonus to both episode for acknowledging Night's existence.

I half-expected Chemistry Man to slip on that slice of pizza Aki kept slipping on. I was surprised that they actually had Mega Mini meaningfully contribute to the fight, telling Aki where the next attack was going to come from. I also am noticing that Wily's inventions/items tend to be adorned with a skull aesthetic.

And then Mega Mini's useless again in the next episode, which again makes me wonder why he exists in this show. I'm also disappointed that Mega Man doesn't really fight both robots at once, in favor of comparing/contrasting the somewhat shoehorned in Aki and Suna conflict. My sister also suggested at least three times in the viewing to just use Ice Man's power on both of them, which I agree seems like it would have worked out better.

Wouldn't Fire Man melt the ice and escape?

It should, though how strong the ice supposed to be is debatable.

Also, did they actually captured either of them at the end? I remember them blasting off, but not being turned over.

[up][up]I think he was weak to Ice Cutter in Mega Man 1. I think the idea there was that the ice would melt mid-flight, and then douse Fire Man.

Granted, I probably shouldn't be trying to apply canon weaknesses to this show. :P

And I don't think they were captured? For that matter, where was the Good Guild when this was going on?

...Where are the Good Guild in any of these situations? I probably shouldn't expect authority to be doing anything useful in a superhero show, but that still kind of feels like an oversight.
