"Zzz-Eh?" Makopo blinked awake and shook his head, adjusting his spectacles, before looking at the equine. "Oh, my apologies. I really must stop reading into the early hours of the morning. Running out of candles..." He trailed off, mumbling to himself, before blinking himself back to alertness once more.

"Ah, my apologies again. My mind wanders quite a bit. Now, ah, maps, you said? I have an atlas somewhere here..." With one of his arms he plucked a book of maps from the tables and held it out to her. "You're from Stalli, are you not? I've never seen a Unicorn in person before. Supposing you're here for, ah, the prophecy? Fascinating that they managed to get so many races here at once." Makopo started rambling a bit.

Sunny tensed as Inkerna approached - she'd heard stories of the Klackontyr, of how the nobility enslaved the rest of their race, how they used war as a tool and sought to conquer everyone - but she relaxed when the insectoid announced his (or her, Sunny didn't know the difference) purpose here.

"I am Sunny, from Wardu if you could not tell." She smiled and extended a hand. "You are welcome with us, of course. And if you truly have defied your people's cruel royalty, then I doubt you can safely return, hm? So we will set aside any previous disagreements with your people. While unexpected, it is always good to have more friends."

What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?

"Sir" Inkerna lied to Sovelkin simply, before explaining slightly, "klackontyr women are royalty. Very few klackontyr women are born, so very important. It mak-kes us very different from you races with equal... Gendering." She turned her head towards Sunny as the ashuran extended a large hand. Inkerna knew vaguely of this: a 'handshake', used by other cultures as a way of showing greeting and respect? Inkerna reached out and kind of awkwardly and gingerly grabbed at the ends of Sunny's fingers, then tried to shake them.

"Yes, I am traitor to royalty now. It is no matter; I hate the Rikitas way of expansion by war" Inkerna responded to Sunny, thinking back on that argument with her mother.

"You could say that," said Dora. She still wasn't sure why everypony placed so much importance in this prophecy, but she could go along with it. "Thanks for the maps, Señor Makopo!"

She turned back around and started shoving the maps into Backpack. At the same time, she brought out a few of her spare sheets, a reed, and one of her ink jars and began writing down some of the things the ant-woman said. At least they weren't like those stupid dumby-dumb-dumb humans who let stupid boys be their leaders. She could respect that the ant people and ponies had something in common, though she couldn't imagine why their señorita folk would be so rare.

Sarlus looked at Inkerna, "I can understand the female ruled royalty. The isles of Rana are traditionally ruled by a High Queen and actual ruling males have been a very rare minority. Instead the sons of the court just become aids in court, soldiers, doctors or similar professions; their rights are the same just they almost are never given the true political power." He says with a neutral polite tone, almost like something previously rehearsed.

Scarlette had currently gotten distracted by her tiger, stroking it while listening to the others talk. Casually smiling at anyone examining Tendrin. The tiger often gets odd looks when in domestic enviroments, Scarlette never too sure why however. It was just like having a cat, dog, bird or wisp, a normal pet.

Inkerna looked at Sarlus, and shook her head slightly. "All klackontyr women are royal, all klackontyr men are not. Men are just soldiers and work-kers; they are not important unless they marry" Inkerna explained, turning to face the marketplace.

"Your mothers treat sons as precious, to be cared for. Klackontyr mothers have so many sons, they are just subjects" she continued, staring out at the people mingling in the crowd.
