Mathias looked at Arendelus for a few seconds, the cogs of his brain turning as he looked at him/her/it. "...Hello Aren." he replied after he had thought it over. "How are you doing young...man?" he said, as if questing Aren's gender.
"I am nature's weapon. You are unfit to carry on your species, and I shall ensure that you do not do so!" - Charles Darwin, XCOM SniperAren gave a brilliant laugh at his new companions guess. "You're honestly one of the few people to actually guess right. Most either don't say anything, or assume that I'm a girl. I even had a few rather... awkward proposals from adventurers after I had worked with some familiae for an extended period... Yeeeeeeah..."
"Eat at your pace, whenever that is fast or slow. No reservations on my table" says Artemis with a little smile... though her long ears nearly perked up and then down as she hears something from the other side of the table... a sinking feeling in her gut as she suddenly looks at Aren in a light panic "W-Wait! A-Aren, you're a boy!?"
"Ahah...I apologize if this has made things awkward for you..." Mathias said with a sigh as he rubbed the back of his head. "I did not realize others had not caught on..."
"I am nature's weapon. You are unfit to carry on your species, and I shall ensure that you do not do so!" - Charles Darwin, XCOM Sniper"Ahghg... Anyway! No sense dwelling on it. We got a very busy day today... Ah, you see that little building? I'll be in there... come one and at a time and we'll get to giving all of you your blessings and a reading of your initial stats" says Artemis, standing up and moving to mask her embarrassment into the small hut at the side of the tree.
Inside she'll ask each to remove their shirt for her to bestow her blessing upon them... making the marks on their back that would empower them and gather the energy of their experience from now on.
Once everyone came in, then she'd say they ought to move to the guild... and so, one by one, the newly blessed members of Artemis Familia, each with a little paper in hand telling their stats, would start walking into Orario and towards the Guild, with Artemis at the front.
On the road to the Guild, through the narrow streets of Orario, Artemis answered Frederick's question "It is, to a certain extend... I see you're pretty smart and with a good spirit, and through it and your disposition my Blessing should help you develop magic... Indeed, you have two slots for spells I believe. However, to actually get those spells we'll need to go to a special place on the great Tower"

Varedis nodded, seeming somewhat subdued in Artemis's presence. "Yes, milady," she said, taking a bite of roast boar. "I'm honestly looking forward to entering the dungeon, truth be told. I can understand why you wouldn't want us to hurry through such a wonderful meal, though."
It's been fun.
