Vic danced around everyone happily, "Oh wonderful! How Simply wonderful! My company's new line of Laser Rifles shall continue! Especially with the big guy in Enclave Power Armor!"
Damien rolled his eyes and stood up, "Should we prepare ourselves?"
Vic stopped dancing, "Nah you can just head on in. Just go through the subway system. Beware of ghouls, roaches, disintery and the Deathclaw named Dave and you should be fine! See you later!" And with that Vic had ran off, with the Pipboys of whoever was wearing them having updated themselves to say this.
- [Laser Precision!]
- > Head through the Metros to get to Brooklyn
- > Retrieve Laser Rifle.
- [OPTIONAL] Kill Dave.
With Vic having run off, Thomas grumbled to himself. "Asshole. Assumes that just because I say one thing that I'm consenting to it."
He looked over the rest. "Well, power armor'll help. I suppose I'm in, then."
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Thomas put on his helmet.
"Time to earn our payday."
As soon as his helmet was connected and secure, and the Enclave HUD booted, he drew his FAL, checking the chamber before flicking the safety off.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."The subway wasn't hard to find, it kind of stuck out as one of the few holes in the ground with stairs leading into it. And a sign that said, "Metro" and of course people walking in and out of it.
"There we go," Damien remarked stepping down the stairs, only to find a oddity. A small group of Brotherhood Knights standing there, the largest of which weilding a Laser Gatling and a Plasma Caster.
"Uh... Hello?" Damien asked.
"Greetings traveler. What brings you down here?" One of the Knights asked, with a little bit of malice.
Thomas held his breath as he noticed who he'd encountered at this particular entrance.
Brotherhood. Knights at that. Full power armor and a menagerie of laser weapons. There were quite a couple of them, too.
And even if his pauldron was red, he was standing there in full Enclave getup.
Seventy-five hundred caps better be in my hands come tomorrow, he muttered, as he steeled himself for certain death at best.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Hmm...It's one of them Brotherhood groups. A rare sight in the Mojave. Gotta play it cool...
"Well howdy there. We're just making our way over to Brooklyn. We're all heading there for a caravan guard job. Heard it's right dangerous over there."
He smiled all friendly like, just like back West. Probably best not to let them know about the laser rifle, being the techno-crazy types that you heard about.
"Yup, just passing through here." Tony added as he put his jacket back on, sticking his hands in his pockets while he was lost in thought.
Hang on a second, he thought to himself, if that Vic guy was dumb enough to lose a prototype laser gun just like that and then propose some random strangers to retrieve it, it means that other people probably heard o- Fuck! The Brotherhood must be sweeping the place for it now!
At least it explains the ridiculous paycheck, he thought as he glanced at the other members of this impromptu crew, trying to see if they caught on like he did.

Of all the colouful words Katya managed to think of, one comes to mind.
Cyka.
She nods at the statement one of the groups just said, hanging back just in case. Of all the people you can meet in the wasteland, she have to meet the techno-hippies that are liable to murder you for a battery. Even deathclaws are preferable when it comes to trade runs involving energy weapons.
всегда верен"Ah. Where are you headed Caravaneers?" The Knight asked, the other Brotherhood members turning to them.
"Brooklyn," Damien answered, slightly worried about the Brotherhood sitting there.
"Brooklyn that i-" The Knight could barely finish before 2 more Brotherhood members ran up with a stretcher, what appeared to be the dented metal frame of Power armor and meat chunks on it.
"What happened to Tobias? Did he meet up with the Deathclaw?" "No sir. He angered one of the citizens of Brooklyn!" "By god! Is this all that remains of him?!" "No! Thankfully we managed to pull out before it was too late, though currently he is missing both his arms and his legs! He is with another team who are evacuating the city now!" "Get him back to the Vault. See if we have any bionic limbs left over!" "Yes sir!"
Damien stood there as the weight of the situation hit him.
...The citizens of Brooklyn are worse than a death claw. Which means added security so long as you are not a raider or a Paladin, Katya reasoned. Which...can be worse, actually. What the hell are the citizens like? Super Mutants?
She raises a hand, and pipes up.
"If you don't mind us asking, Sirs...what is happening?"
всегда веренThe Knight turned back to them, "I am Knight Adrian. Currently we are investigating Brooklyn to see what is the cause of all of them being so aggressive! They appear like normal humans, some of them wield power fists but they seem to have such strength and endurance beyond standard! We brought a Vigor tester up there and Endurance and Strength flashed consistently while the others remained the same," he explained.
"Aw crap..." Damien muttered. "So the rumors of Brooklyn being on of the most dangerous areas around?"
"Are true I'm afraid to say," Adrian answered, it was just now that he noticed the Enclave Armor, he chose to ignore it as these Caravaneers needed all the protection they could get.

"Oh."
That is a lot of caps, she thought. You only make that sort of caps on really large shipment of guns, or a few of the rarer, more powerful ones. All this, per person, just to retrieve a gun?
...Something smells fishy. But she chooses not to make a remark on that.
