We deliberately shut down indentation past three asterisks because 99.9999% of the time, it's natter. What are you trying to do that requires it?
Edit: Comicbook/Convergence doesn't even have third level bullets, never mind fourth.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"You can actually disable indentation asterisks? Well, that certainly saves the mods a lot of trouble from having to drill proper indentation into people's heads. And users from having to hunt for bad examples.
Wonder why is wasn't done before. New feature or something?
It is sometimes an appropriate response to reality to go insane.I'm admittedly not exactly a TV Tropes veteran (I've only been around a couple years or so), but fourth-level indentation has been disabled for as long as I can remember. I always figured it was because third-level indentation is as far as you should ever legitimately need to go (and on some pages, such as Recaps, second-level is all that's needed).
The "change", if you call it that, is over five years old...
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I can't find a thread for this, and I can't start a new one, but the previews won't even show up. For the past 1/2 dozen edits or so, I've been making edits and when I try to push the preview button to see if what I wanted to add turns out right, none of the tropes show up in the pop-up pages.
UPDATE: To further clarify what I'm talking about, when I edit anything, and I push the preview button I get this:
"This is a preview. Your changes haven't been saved yet.
The page is being shown at the most common width for readers. This may be different than your screen width.
If it looks okay to you, just close this tab/window and save your changes."
And that's it. I don't see a single trope in any of the previews.

If you try to indent text like this:
When you preview, the fourth one is shown to be further indented, but when actually publishing, it's treated as a three star indent. Please fix. The preview should match what actually gets published.
This is the page I noticed it on: Convergence
